Edit:  I'm curious, Jaison, what would you have done if 2 or 3 guys hit the max cap of 80K?  I mean, right now there's at least 2 other guys besides lawyer at around 70K so it was really close.  Just curious cause a tablet is not exactly cheap.

Round 25 is harder to call though.  The coin value has gone down quite a bit and many of the existing writers are probably a bit worn out.  The wild card is new writers and more importantly new members from abroad, namely Eastern Europe and Asia, where at even $20-$30 per day, it's not a bad deal.  

So round 25 could end up being a total sleeper (like round 22) or it could end up having closer to 1100 shares.  Really difficult to gauge at this point.

That's really hard to read so I'm gonna go with Weisoq's number of roughly 900.  That's to be expected given the quickly growing popularity of devcoin and devtome.

I personally wonder what will happen to the quality of writers, artists, programmers, etc as shares go down in value.  Not many educated or talented people will work for $20 per day, at least not in the western world.  But it is a good sign for devcoin in general and I did expect exponential growth followed by logarithmic growth in the coming months.

One last thing - I thought the 24th round wasn't over until block 93,300?  Is that not the case or are new submissions not expected this late in the round.  Cause there were a few close runner ups to "Lawyer", and if there's a few days left we may indeed have a new (final) winner.


Edit:  I just noticed there's a feature built in which allows a rollover for people who may have gone over the max cap of 80 shares.  Although I burned out long before 80 shares - That's really nice, I had no idea.

Edit:  I tried the cd\downloads\Ixcoin and then the other one you suggested and both (separate and together) result  in an error message:  The system cannot find the path specified.

I don't know, this worked for other people so I'm either doing something wrong or this IP address no longer works.  Thanks for all your help.  Looks like for now the few ixCoins I bought will have to stay in Vircurex with my devcoins.

I'm showing zero connections as well.  Can somebody take a look at this and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

So I go to start menu and type in cmd to open up  the small black command window.  The prompt already has the following:  C:\Users\Vlad> and then I type: \downloads\Ixcoin\ixcoin.exe-addnode=198.154.60.183

The response is:  the system cannot find the path specified.

I tried different variations but I get the same response.  I put the ixcoin wallet download in the downloads section and not in the program files because that's where I keep all my other wallets but that shouldn't matter as it's just a location, right?

I may be  putting this command in the completely wrong place but that's the only place I know which has a command line.  Any help is appreciated.  TIA.

Also, weisoq said round 24 ends at block 93,300.  Does anybody know if that's the final cutoff - I read somewhere on devtome that there's usually an additional 1,000 block add-on after the cutoff where everyone gets sort of a final heads up kind of thing.  

What's this mature/maturing thing people are talking about?  I have the new devcoin client, that's it.  Nothing shows anything about mature so I'm not sure what people are referring to.

So when is the final cutoff for round 24 to submit anything?  I haven't submitted anything in almost 2 weeks - I hit it fast and furious and I kinda burned out but I would like to try and get something else written.

That said, I saw a lot of new writers this round so I think this round is going to be very diluted - I'm guessing close to 900 shares versus the 501 for round 23 and about 120 for round 22.  Quite a huge jump which is great news for devcoin awareness but not so good for earnings - at least not until the value of devcoin bounces back.

Does anybody have any idea how many shares will be generated for round 24 - 900 is just a gut feeling I have?  TIA!

Man, la 1 pe zi ar merita ca eu cred ca LTC o sa Sara de 10X in 6-12 luni. Dar nici nu scoteam banii de current.

Ce am citit eu este ca nu conteaza Asa mult GPU la LTC dar CPU dar si cu 8 core FX8350 facea numai 50 kilo hash care este caca. Doua placi de 7850 faceau intre 300 si 500 kilo hash Pentru LTC - foarte incet.  Am folosit p2p pool miner give-me-ltc.com.  Este unu din cel Mai bune am citit so nu stiu ce am facut gresit.

Ca serious Pentru 30 de LTC pe Luna ar merita ca eu ma uit la termen lung si cred ca o sa Sara in aer multe din astea crypto coins.  Asta cu bitcoin este numai inceputu.  So daca iti permiti sa nu le vinzi tine de ele ca acuma maxim 1% din Americani stiu de minat etc., si cand Alfa Mai multi - well, iti dai seama ce o sa se intemple cand millioane peste millioane de dolari fug dupa prea putini coins.

De asta a sarit bitcoin de la $15 la $260 in 60 de Zile si Namecoin de la $.001 la $1, care vine 1,000 de ori investitia care defapt este Mai mult profit ca bitcoin.

Urmatoarele sau cele Mai bune Pentru speculatie in parerea mea sunt Namecoin, ixCoin, devcoin si Litecoin.  Bitcoin este bun de minat Pentru bani sa cumperi hardware si alte alt-coins dar ca speculatie cat poti sa faci, dublu daca ai noroc mare si la $130 este foarte riscant.

Mark, I tried every variation I could think of and without having some site host the pic there was no way to post the pictures.  I agree this is a bad way to do it as those sites may not be around forever and it's simply a good idea, like you said, for us (devtome) to own the images.

I'm not sure if something like this can be easily fixed or not but it would be nice as most are having problems figuring out how to post pictures to their articles.

So does that mean round 24 ends at block 96,000?  Does that include the 1,000 block which gets added on at the end of every round, so then block 95,000?  Thanks in advance.

I saw that and I had an offer but I turned it down. It's 2 bitcoins if you do a group buy.  People are paying $550 for this stick.  That's crazy, it would take at least 1 year to get your money back, and that's presuming the difficulty doesn't skyrocket, which it will (at least double) by summer's end once all these ASICS hit the street.

That's why I'm trying to get at least 30GH from butterfly labs, I presume it will be like 15GH today which is at least something decent, something to start with.
