I'm not going to turn this into a Ripple discussion. That wasn't my intention. It's actually a brilliant system though, if you take the time to understand. It's everything Bitcoin could have been and never will be. That's MY view.
 But he IS right in saying that bitcoin will never be used for microtransactions. why not? i guess using ltc is an option for doing alot of super micro tx the reddit bot is another good thing people can use, the bot can make miro tx between reddit users for free.... |

You cannot delay a purchase forever (post-mortem anyone?) so the fact that the underlying currency gains in value isn't going to stop economic traffic in the least *. *Although in the beginning people might need to get used to this, but it will be temporary. People will need to get used that merely holding currency isn't voluntarily paying more taxes and that saving can actually be a good thing as opposed to the credit hungry society the west is these days. We need to PAY people in BTC. That's how you drive an economy. Give people something valuable, and merchants will flock follow the money. Fuck 'em. It's going to still be going strong. The more they push, the more underground it will go, and that's not a bad thing. I keep some bitcoin, spend some bitcoin. Everyone who bought it just to hold it aren't doing a damn thing to help adaption. If it's not being used as a currency for goods or services, it won't have any value period. SR (yeah, not the best reference, but it's the biggest monetary site to judge on) is pushing over $2million a month in funds. This shit isn't going anywhere. Bitcoin will still be used 20 years from now. Again, if the FEDS try to jump in, let them. Bitcoin and bitcoin related sites will quickly adapt. One thing that I have learned from being active on Bitcoin related sites and their forums, the users as an overall average are some of the smartest and brightest people I have ever met, not a bunch of jack-off kids playing WoW in their moms basement. I have faith in bitcoin. I will keep spending it while people like you cry because the price is dropping and all you were wanting to do was get rick quick.
