1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Aleph Web Wallet - Pow/Pos coin on: August 31, 2017, 11:08:37 PM
The landing page looks cool. However you may want to add something that explains a bit about the company and the security implementations that your site has.
Speaking of which, why would people trust your site to store their coins? You need full transparency and even with that I doubt many people would be eager to join an unrecognised web based wallet.
People are sceptical as it is. They'd be even more sceptical when it comes to looking after their hard earned coins...
1362  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does every mainstream media article on Bitcoin end in negativity? on: August 31, 2017, 11:06:04 PM
That used to be the case but I now find that to be the contrary.
Before BTC was widely accepted it was most frequently reported as having been used on the dark web to buy illegal services. Now articles have picked up on the increased adoption and Forbes has ranked it as one of the most rewarding investments in the last few years.
Bitcoin is still in its infancy. As time progresses people's perceptive of it will change too.
1363  Economy / Services / Re: Hiring a UK person to accept physical card to address on: August 30, 2017, 08:28:52 AM
How many do you need? Is it a one time thing or something that needs to be done multiple times?
PM me the details. I might be able to help. Thanks
1364  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Lealana 1LTC (2013, nickle?) pricing on: August 29, 2017, 03:26:26 PM
I've seen that the prices on eBay are quite high.
I sold 2x 10 LTC coins for $300 a few months back and a roll of 20x 1 LTC coins for a little more.
Guess I should have waited  Grin

That's good going, sounds like eBay is ok for selling physical crypto?

Just don't like the chargeback feature...

My bad. I wasn't clear there. I personally didn't sell the coins on eBay but here on the forum. I have seen lots of coins going on eBay for a lot more. I'm hesitant to use it due to the fees and possibility of a chargeback as you mentioned.
1365  Economy / Collectibles / Re: A friend of mine is selling his Casascius 2011 error 1 BTC coin on: August 29, 2017, 10:36:14 AM
His starting bid is $7000. Less 10% for PayPal and eBay fees, he's looking at $6300 (not including postage and insurance). At today's rate, that's about 1.44BTC.
My advice is to start an auction on here for that price. There are no fees and using a reputable escrow on here like MJ or Blazed is much cheaper and more reliable. They're well known and highly trusted. Personally I'd trust them to sort out a trade dispute more than I'd trust escrow.com.
Those are just my thoughts though...

1367  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] $2000 or £2000 Amazon.com/uk GC on: August 28, 2017, 09:29:29 AM
I'm very interested - "Escrow is a must and funds will be released upon delivery of the order from amazon. " does seem a large risk though, unless we can talk a decent enough rate.

The rate will be fair and definitely decent. The only reason why I'm requesting this is because I don't want to buy $2k/£2k worth of gift cards only to have them cancelled as soon as I apply them to my account. I want to make sure that I actually end up getting the goods delivered. Sending a PM Smiley

I'm still looking for this. If anyone has then please get in touch!
Thanks Smiley

Any news on what will happen to the campaign since Rollin.io are looking to sell the business?
1371  Economy / Collectibles / Re: For sale CASASCIUS 0.1BTC on: August 24, 2017, 12:32:01 PM
How much are you looking for?
Will you accept Escrow?
It might be a good idea to post pictures of the coin too alongside with the date and your username to prove ownership.

What are those "T3 Silver rounds"? Never heard about those before.

1374  Economy / Goods / Re: [ WTS ] 20 Gram Gold Bars - 2 In stock $100 each on: August 24, 2017, 11:22:51 AM
They aren't replicas. They are fakes. Counterfeits.
Trying to pass them off as real is a crime.
You can sell them for what they are (fakes) but then charge people what they're worth ($10 on Alibaba).
1375  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC till 23 August on: August 22, 2017, 09:05:53 AM
What is your basis for that prediction? Just because the price has decreased over the last few days you still need reason(s) to back your prediction. Someone can equally predict that the price will go back up.
Please cite some sources and why you think BTC will drop rather than just making unfounded predictions.
1376  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bitcoin investment experience on: August 20, 2017, 06:17:57 PM
You're just promoting a ponzi scheme.
Most don't even pay out the first users and have basic scripts that are being sold here on the Digital
Goods board.
You're lucky to have got paid out but don't promote something that will encourage others to run a scam site and users to invest funds they could and probably will end up losing.
1377  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius Coin Advise on: August 16, 2017, 05:31:49 PM
If you definfiely want to cash out and are happy with selling while BTC is at this price then I'd say sell it on here and don't get it graded. You'll get a premium for it since it's a Casascius. Grading it will cost you time and in that time it's possible that BTC will go down in value and you'll get less for it then you could have had you sold it now.
1378  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS/WTT] Kialara Original .1 #68/2500 on: August 16, 2017, 07:15:54 AM
Sometimes I wonder what I could get for my Thug life piece.  BTC is x10+ since I purchased it.  My goal is to own every kialara piece that comes out.  Doing good so far.  Just wish I'd funded every piece now.
Just wish I'd funded every piece now.
If you fund your Kialara's, you're going to lower their value. The market has not been too kind to any kind of custom *funded* Kialaras.

Agreed. Funded Kialaras just make selling them on the secondary market more difficult. Besides, you'd never want to redeem them as that would mean having to destroy the works of art.
I'm sure your Kialara collection is just fine. If you've got a Thug life then consider yourself lucky!!
1379  Economy / Services / Re: Advertising Space on side of boat on: August 15, 2017, 04:54:08 PM
Nice and original idea. You might want to put up pics of your boat and the dimensions of the ad space available. Other info like how long the ad would stay up and other relevant details might be worthwhile to add.
1380  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Pre-fork deals include BCC or not? on: August 15, 2017, 03:32:14 PM
Personally I'd say no. Say that my BTC wallet once contained 100BTC but I spent a lot of it up until the fork and thus only had 15BTC left when the fork happened, I can't really expect to demand the BCC associated with all the 85BTC (I spent) from the sellers. I think the same applies to deals made here or elsewhere.

There would be no BCC associated with the 85BTC if you spent before the fork.....

You should have 15 BCC to match the 15BTC that was in your wallet on the 1st of August Huh

Exactly. The point is that these coins were also 'spent' so to speak and therefore the buyer shouldn't have any claim to the BCC tied to them.

Just to play this out fully, what of the counter-argument that the original deal was only for BTC and BCC did not exist when the deal was made. Additionally, there are some minor hoops to jump through to retrieve the BCC. Is the buyer (person paying in BTC) obligated to retrieve the BCC for the seller (person receiving BTC as payment)?

Well if the BCC didn't exist at the time of the transaction then what is the claim? The coins should be looked at as spent BTC and therefore all associated BCC would also be spent. At the time that the transaction was agreed upon there was no BCC to claim so you can't really retroactively claim it back.
Since redeeming the BCC can only be done by the buyer or Escrow holder I think that since they have to go through some trouble they should definitely be compensated for it.
