1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | No Premine on: June 08, 2014, 03:56:04 AM
Though I agree there have been multiple calls for a "Rich List" to be published. I don't understand Y they exist @ all. Can some one explain to me why they exist?

With all the concerns about privacy in society today why should others be privy to how many coins I have?

If people fear skullduggery I don't C how a "Rich List" is preventative. Unless I'm missing some crypto-world unwritten rule of ethics.

Or I could be mistaken in my understanding of how such a list is compiled.

I thought, only coins held in wallets can be counted for inclusion on the list. Coins held elsewhere, such as exchanges or off line (Cold Storage??) can't be accounted for.

Not to mention that  someone bent on larceny could have multiple wallets, with different addresses obfuscating their totals and intent.

I'm I missing something or is this "Rich List" the stuff juveniles, and other small minded individuals perpetuate wanting to know who has the biggest, longest, fastest whatever?

Forget I asked. I'll post in twitter a link here that no it doesn't exist, and it doesn't look like there will be one.

So you'll put the effort into tweeting about such matters but won't learn to check the "Block Chain" yourself,

Or, build one yourself to satisfy like minded folks.

There r alot of things that need to be accomplished when Developing a coin. To my way of thinking a "Rich List" is superfluous.

I personally have no experience building such a list. I would see that as something the Dev team would do to show transparency. Like I said FORGET I ASKED.

[size=20Do U Know how to Learn?pt][/size]

No I have no learning ability. None whatsoever.

Good to Know. It explains alot.

Kevondo your attitude is shit and you are being very condescending. I hope you are in no way affiliated with the dev team because you are terrible PR. Strato's request, and anybodies request, for a richlist is completely justified- people want to have an idea as to how well distributed a coin and whether or not the big holders are selling or buying. Nearly every freaking coin has a rich list, even the ones which have been far less successful than this one as of yet.

The person in the team that came up with that name is from the uk, there's a big badger cull over there at the moment so its in the news a lot, also it then reminded us of the badgers badgers badgers video.

rofl, CRY's whitepaper is such a piece of shit.  Evidence of a total scam -- they can't even make a proper whitepaper.
...

looking through your post history it looks like you really have it out for darkcoin

ok so I do want to voice concern again. Is anyone else really not worried about whoever is selling at 100. A whale that size could seriously hurt the coin's reputation to date

what do you mean? how can people buying through a whale's sell wall hurt the coin?? seems like a bullish sign to me..
other whales will take their place if they made a dumbass mistake and left low sells up and their is still opportunity to profit. btw that 21 btc sell wall is now 14.

Look what happened to VRC today... Pinkcoin has all the same positive things (if not more) going for it, I expect a similar price increase in the near future.

Is the anonymity feature active already? The website says "The first currency with anonymous feature via exchanges.” which makes it sound like it is already a functioning feature.

See, this is why you gotta believe in Mintcoin! Less than 150 btc vol and look where it took us. Imagine when we experience the same volume that some other coins get on Mintpal (1000+ btc)  Smiley

How about a mobile wallet? People keep talking about cards, and whatnot, but ultimately, mobile platform wallets are just as useful. The other question about mobile wallet is how to get it to stake in Proof of Stake (has been a pretty big question for a lot of coins). But ultimately if part of acceptance is the distribution ability to spend, then we should provide as many options as to how to spend as possible.

+1 the first person to crack a working staking android wallet is going to be quids in.

Mintcoin already has one, it is being tested by people now. Notice the mint pump today.
1372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | No Premine on: June 05, 2014, 11:34:21 PM
I hate assholes that dump coins for shit prices when they could hold an we all get rich........dumbasses.

Free market, bro.. You say that now, but if the price were to fall down (I don't think it will, like you I think it will go up further) then they would be the smart ones for taking profits while they could.  You can't get mad at people for securing gains.. remember this coin was bellow 1k like 2 days ago so...
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Daily Reminder that All these IPOs are illegal in the United States on: June 05, 2014, 04:22:09 AM
I think a lot of you guys are misinterpreting this thread...I don't have beef with any of the exchanges, coin developers, etc...

I looked over the article and I think this should be a genuine concern for those living in the United States or those servicing USA customers. I really don't think the logistics of it matter...if you're going to call it an IPO then there is only definition as far as the law is concerned. This isn't the first time this has happened either.

If that were the case, following your logic, they could simply call it something else and avoid this issue... which makes no sense to me.
1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: June 05, 2014, 03:37:01 AM
Here's the coinbase article about the blackcoin card.

http://www.coindesk.com/things-alt-ponzi-schemes-blackcoin-usbs-time-warp-attack/

I wonder how much something like that would cost to develop.

Its just a USB with a logo printed on it, you can buy them on ebay/amazon for rather cheap. The person (IconicExpert) who was selling them for BC was making a good profit off of them by marking them up... Some would even go so far as to say he was ripping people off.

Also,

Whoever mentioned the pedometer mining earlier:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483515.msg7138867#msg7138867

Guess its not so crazy an idea afterall?
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: June 05, 2014, 03:00:25 AM
The same people in here still bashing the IPO and maidsafe in general? Funny, you would think that people who are not even involved/invested in this coin would find something better to do with their time and energy. You know, like how about instead of continuously trying to devalue others' investments you focus on your own fucking money. I'm just going to assume that either 1) you don't have any valuable assets of your own to be concerned about, or 2) you do have valuable assets of your own but you are terrible at time management and don't understand that all the investigations and time spent trying to derail this coin with long-winded useless posts could have been spent supporting/advancing your current investments and researching potential new investment opportunities, or 3) you are simply a troll and derive pleasure from fucking with other people.
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Crypti | Release June | 100% POS | New Source on: June 05, 2014, 02:58:29 AM
I am interested, will likely invest in IPO if trusted escrow is indeed available.
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | No Premine on: June 05, 2014, 02:52:49 AM
It is amazing how disgusting some people are, but what is even more amazing is that this person was dumb enough to think that he was going to fool anybody? I'm not too surprised at the desperation though, considering how badly XC is dying right now..

The best thing that we can all do is correct the misinformation, as was already done, and then just let it go. Fight the trolls with simple facts, not strife, and they quickly run out of fuel. Otherwise, we just prolong the negativity.
I agree, I should refrain from responding in an antagonizing manner but it is hard not to call somebody out when they are blatantly trying to mentally fuck with the value of other peoples' assets simply out of spite.
1378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | No Premine on: June 05, 2014, 02:33:33 AM

Nice try, asshole. Everybody please look through this guys post history and you will see why he is here spreading FUD about the anon (its because he is an XC fanboy). The trolls on this forum are simply disgusting, and laughably obvious.

The ass doesn't even apologize or admit his "mistake" when additional proof is provided:

Ye of little faith, here is more evidence from qt editor for your analysis pleasure

That's all your getting for now, more sneak peeks to follow.

Instead he tries to start new FUD:

So are the ring nodes owned by you pnosker, I worry about it being a centralized solution...

It is amazing how disgusting some people are, but what is even more amazing is that this person was dumb enough to think that he was going to fool anybody? I'm not too surprised at the desperation though, considering how badly XC is dying right now.. What happened? Did everybody realize it was just another loljosh coin?  Cheesy
1379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | PoW/PoS | Redesigned GUI & Wallet | Full Time Devs on: June 05, 2014, 02:27:09 AM
Very happy I got involved with this coin... keep it up! there are two other coins I got involved with at the exact same time as SC and for the same exact same reasons (great development and currently very under priced- hidden gems) and what do you know they are all doing well! Perhaps the fundamentals do matter after-all!
