WTF is going on with this damn algo !?

cgminer 3.7.8 crashes whenever I attempt to solo mine UFO.
Code:
Faulting application name: cgminer.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5456b3d7
Faulting module name: cgminer.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5456b3d7

Faulting module path: C:\cgminer-3.7.8-neoscrypt\cgminer.exe
Report Id: 592924e0-6f80-11e4-bc9a-3085a98ead79

Yet the "updated" neoS.cl appears to work with cgminger 3.7.7b..  I say "appears" because it failed to register/credit me with that 66.2k block finding share.

Where the hell did my hashpower and the block it found, go ?

miners works just fine with ufo client and new kernel
what i can tell, u have updated new kernel and 14.xx drivers, so your clock speed is way too high for second gpu, lower it,
or it might be your hardware runs out of memory, (2gb runs just fine)
based on your screen shot, u have not found any block yet

lmao My drivers, (default) clock speeds and system ram have nothing to do with 3.7.8 crashing.

Are you aware that cgminer does not record "best shares" when solo mining unless it is at or above the targeted difficulty ?

A quick search of last night's block history reveals that blocks, 287139 and 287152 both had a difficulty of 1.01xxx and both were found by the same addy. I didn't.. .but BtVnUB163amx2zxyQtJdebLPsdrDKjAVhc DID !

Fyi, my 66.2k share divided by 65536 diff-1 shares = 1.0101318359375.

you just forgot that there is multipools out there..
how did u setup your queue,scan-time,expiry?

Just trying to say its stupid to solo if you dont have ported getwork or some else tweak for sgminer?

dont understand what are you trying to say
did u find and own these blocks or not?

no way knowing your time is right but:

UFO 287651 found at: (2014-11-19 16:26:59) - your time shows +18secs too late

UFO 287652 found at: (2014-11-19 16:27:37) - your time shows +12secs too late

so its possible that either of those bock were not yours

I love it when people challenge my credibility.

best share lower than target

Do I really need to show you how long my list of minted UFO blocks is, before you stop making these assumptions about my mining experience ?

So lets try and debunk this theory. Shall we ?

Oh shizzles.. it happened again. Shocked Fuck this.. I'm out.

with that hash rate u just cant find any solo blocks or if u do they will be orphan or stale!

get more gpus or go to pool

Something is very wrong if that is all you earned per day. The net hashrate is 30-50 mhash on average, right ?

1367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: United we stand, divided we fall - the coming rise of cryptofiat on: November 18, 2014, 01:10:34 AM
good insight, but i think the gov would oppose it cause it is decentralized. they don't like this way.

The gov would love it because it IS centralized.

Fiat has to be centralized, do you really think a coin would work if in the wallet there was a button labelled "Mint Coin Now" you would trust all users to use the button with restraint? Cheesy

Some of us call that button, the right clicky thingy on your mouse. COPY + PASTE = crypto fiat shitcoin  :/

Look at how the private/fiat banks got their start during the late 1700 and 1800s. Now look at our current state of crypto affairs.

Do you see a difference ? I don't.

Wolf0 said that sgminer will not solo and that you would need to use cgminer ,,,,, i do not know if wolf0 kernel works with cgminer that is something i want to know

YES!!!  I already said it could be done..

Please post your settings and the file and driver versions used.

Fyi, I tried the sgminer 5.1 (280x/ 160 khash) neoS.cl with cgminer 3.7.7b, failed and have not spent much, if any, time on it since.

I can solo mine with the Wolf0 neoscrypt.cl with cgminer-3.7.7.bNeoscrypt.  I cannot with any sgminer.  I get the same error message.

What error message are you getting?  I solo-mine a lot of things with a lot of sgminer variants.

I didn't think my post was unclear.  I said the same error message.

3.7.7.b isn't his. Grin

trolololol..

Tyvm for confirming my findings. Plz post a screenie or better yet the log file.

I don't follow you.  Of course he didn't write cgminer 3.7.7bNeoscrypt.  But he did write the .cl which works fine with it.  And it solo mines.  So what is your point exactly?

Oh.. good to know. I thought someone else wrote that 280x/140 khash version. Smiley And ya.. it solos.. but did you find any blocks ? I spent over a week solo'n UFO and FTC while the diff was low and had zero luck.

The point is.. I'm looking for a reason.. ANY reason to trust this guy. So far all I'm seeing is greed and strong indicators that he (and/or the group he represents) is trying to manipulate and control neoS, x11, x13 ect.

HippieTech, can you read?

In the screenshot you showed, it says:

"Please check the details from the list below of the servers you have input"
"Most likely you have input the wrong URL, forgotten to add a port, or have not set up workers"

It's hard to understand why you think your misconfiguration is somehow Wolf0's fault..

Even if Wolf's kernel had some intentional or unintentional code to prevent solo mining, it would not show up like that! The kernel is not even loaded at that point where sgminer is just trying to find a live pool. There simply is no way to make sgminer fail like that from kernel code.

This is solo mining, not rocket science. Wink

Its not hard to understand once you try solo'n with any of his kernels.

You could easily debunk me by doing so.

ZenithCoin is a scrypt based distributed crypto currency. The coin has been available for use and mining since June 2013.

The coin has been quite robust for the past 6 months.

There are a little over 2 million coins in circulation.  The exact specifications of the coin can be found at www dot zenithcoin dot com

I am selling ownership of the entire currency and respective applications that include:

(1)  Server and Desktop Client with Source Code
(2)  Block Explorer with Source Code
(3)  Onine Wallet with Source Code
(4)  Domain names zenithcoin (.com, .org, .net )
(5)  Website with Source Code
(6)  Amazon images
(7)  Mining rig including 2 AMD GPUs and mining operating system.
(Cool 1.25 million coins.  The remaining coins have been mined by other miners and are owned by them.   Note: The coin is designed such that 50% of all future coins go to the developer.  This functionality will be disabled when the ownership is transferred.

This is a complete turn key system.  Everything essential is included for you to run your own currency.

You can download the client or use the instant wallet.  Message me your ZTC address and I will send you coins so you can test it out.

Alternate decentralized crypto currencies have had seen a massive price increase lately ( see: coinmarketcap dot com ).  Please check comparable properties when making your bids.

Note:  The name of the coin can be completely re-branded.

Note2:  You will get an Amazon cloud image so that you can instantly deploy this coin into the internet.  You will need to signup and maintain two Amazon cloud instances.

Note3:  Mining hardware is provided so you can continue to mine new coins.

Check out the auction:

Earlier you claimed that Slix did it. Now you're saying it is an impossibility. Who is Slix and how did he "do it" to your OpenCL kernel ?

Whatever the reason, we can rule out sgminer as 4.2.2 yields the same result.

The bigger elephant in the room is saying, "why is Hippie Tech the ONLY one who gives a flying fuck (about the ninja launched algo, security flags ect.) !?"

Enough with the name calling. Just answer/ explain the damn questions.

This is OUR FTC. Got it ?

Why are you talking about neoscrypt in a thread dedicated to xN kernels?

I have three 5870's and would like to mine FTC at TMB. Any one have neoscrypt running decent for AMD 5870? I'm only getting 20kh/s per card, using badman's current mod miner.

Check the FTC forums - they have a cl for old cards.

Thanks, I did see that forum and tried that cl, I think neoscrypt_vliw, but it doesn't work with this Multi-Algo version of SGMiner, at least not badman's latest mod version. Is there a version of the Multi-Algo SGMIner it does work with?  I think over at the FTC forum they were using some new version of CGMiner?

Anyway I was hoping to mine FTC at TMB with the algo switcher.

Thanks,

It's called, "eliminating the competition".

Here in Cryptoland, we call it, "a ninja launch".

@all

Has anyone had any luck solo mining with any of Wolf0's kernels ?
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Closed on: November 16, 2014, 05:41:06 AM
The problem is that this is a kernel pre-order. Hardware pre-orders are bad enough.

It's more like a group buy, since I have it RIGHT NOW.

Did you bork.. err.. forget to port solo mining on this one too ?

Slix did that, not me. Now put it to rest.

Huh Are you saying that this new x11 kernal has solo mining disabled aswell ?

lol.. You have essentially hi-jacked coins with your rigged kernals.. and you want me to "put it to rest" ? This is on top of having your blacklisted site and nsfw .pngs imposed on us.

hmm.. I'm gonna need to have a smoke and think about that one. Roll Eyes

No, you dumbass - IT'S IMPOSSIBLE to disable solo mining at the kernel level, it just hashes what it's told.
