1361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Craig Wright's Court Battle - Bitcoin on: January 17, 2020, 07:27:04 PM
Craig Wright is a clown that no one from the world of cryptocurrency takes seriously. He loves to mess around himself and thanks to such threads on Bitcointalk he manages to do it. I think people like him and McAfee should be left out of the bitcoin price talk at all. These situations have nothing to do with each other.

That's so true. Our attention towards faketoshi is giving him too much fame which he doesn't deserve. This s what he wants that we keep on discussing his jokes of life. I am 100% convince that BSV and other bull runs have nothing to do with that faketoshi court dates and other stuff.
1362  Economy / Speculation / Re: My opinion about the price movement of BTC on: January 17, 2020, 09:25:50 AM
The sad part about everyone trying to connect bitcoin movements to something is that every time it moves you will have to be forced to find a reason for it. Lets be honest this market is unregulated so the only thing that makes bitcoin go up is you buying it, and vice versa for going down, which all comes down to this ; bitcoin is volatile because it is volatile, no need to find a reason.

Just like now for example, we went from almost going under $7k to reaching almost $9k, do we really need a reason for it? I mean couldn't it be just that some people bought bitcoin and others who saw it bought as well and then there was collective buying? Can't that just be the reason for it? Do we really have to have a "big" secret reason for the ups and downs?

Market is unregulated that's true and we all have to accept that. FUD, FOMO, speculation are what drives the price of bitcoin and other crypto. There were predictions few days back that bitcoin going to 5k$ and all of sudden it jumped up to current price of 8900$.
1363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: January 17, 2020, 09:05:03 AM
Unfortunately, volatility is still a feature of these currencies, therefore it attracts speculators and those who believe in their long-term value more than ordinary traders.

Volatility is something that need to be addressed if we want to have a living on bitcoin. Within days bitcoin can have a jump of over 1000 USD. If we dont have stable BTC price we will continue to have BTC that will be only an asset of storage.

That can't happen.

Volatility is the reason why we called cryptocurrency is better than fiat, because we could always take advantage of its price fluctuation, either it falls down or rise up, it is all depends on how smart we are to make profits whatever situation does the market have. Another thing is that living in cryptocurrency is pretty much depressing in some point, because of the transaction fee you gotta pay.

But me, I always convert it first to fiat therefore the fee that I'm going to pay is when I'm going to cash it out thru bank or any money remittances, that is only to lessen the fee.

There is no doubt that one can make huge gains with crypto due to price volatility but the main point of debate is that we cant have daily living due to this price volatility. You think merchants will be willing to accept payments in this volatile currency?
1364  Other / Off-topic / Re: your internet costs and income on: January 17, 2020, 08:44:41 AM
along with the development of digital technology, have you ever thought about the internet costs that you use for your needs ...? where we always open the market every day and trade your cryptocurrency assets, let's calculate with your income, in one day whether you always explore exchanges, social media, upload, share and other sites, is it commensurate with your income or is it commensurate with the sale and purchase of your cryptocurrency assets ...? where every time we make a sale and purchase there will be a cost, and the time we spend does not count how many hours we live on our computer or smartphone and etc, ..?

Anyone who has smartphone or other electronic gadgets along with internet should atleast earn 500$ monthly. If we are not doing this we are just paying internet Bill's and spending money on electronics gadget's. I m happy, I utilize my time and energy to get maximum money I could.
1365  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Is Ballet wallet safe to store bitcoin? on: January 17, 2020, 06:23:28 AM
Whichever wallet you use make sure it has best security and some aspect of securing the wallet lies on user shoulder also. Crypto is nasty in a sense that once your wallet is compromised you can never recover your coins back. If your computer is infected with a malware that install keylogger on your PC, you are done with your coins. I am not promoting any wallet, just saying always choose it with care.
1366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's make mining sustainable on: January 17, 2020, 03:29:12 AM
I do agree that carbon emission must be kept under check. In my country there is snow emergency because of too much snow this winter. Obviously this is abnormal whether behavior.
The solution to this is only trees. Time is running out and we must plant as many trees as we can to save our earth from disastrous of carbon emission.
1367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin touch 9k USD next month? on: January 16, 2020, 11:06:12 AM
There are tons of predictions on bitcoin future price, some went true while majority went wrong. OP has the right to say whatever he wants and may be his prediction went true but it will be just a coincidence. The fact is bitcoin has its own way of going up and down and nobody is still competent enough to understand that.
1368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain the most desirable skill of 2020 according to LinkedIn on: January 16, 2020, 10:04:39 AM
Blockchain isn't skill, blockchain is technology and skills are following: Public Speaking, Communication, Writing, Creative thinking and etc. Being a blockchain developer is really top profession as for now because lately there was huge demand on implementing of blockchain technologies. There were a lot of news on websites like: Newborn registry in Brasil via blockchain technologies, Some contracts with Bitfury regarding to BC integration, HSBC's huge interest in BC technologies, there are even more things. So demand on integration of blockchain technologies skyrockets daily while blockchain developers remain few, this is huge opportunity for people who are in information technologies to move on it and develop further.

I think he wanna refer to skills related to blockchain like blockchain development etc. we have some debate going on about future of crypto but blockchain is readily accepted and adopted by governments and other big companies. There is no doubt that there will huge demand of professionals that have skills in blockchain.
1369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto is not a get rich quick ponzi on: January 16, 2020, 08:28:01 AM
Warren Buffet said "buy when everyone fears to buy and sell everyone is running to buy."

But nobody pays attention to his quote. We always do reverse and get struck. Take example of Bitcoin SV for instance, it was 170$ on 14 Jan 2020 and pumped to 440$ on 15 Jan 2020. Everyone start buying that and its now going down again.
1370  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cryptocurrency and Society on: January 16, 2020, 06:40:36 AM
My hope for cryptocurrency is that it takes away the state's power to print money and fund warfare.

This is just one use of government fiat money. Government also launch public welfare projects and run affairs of the country due to this fiat money. As far as warfare is concerned, it will continue to exist even if we move whole global financial system from fiat to cryptocurrency. Its human nature to suppress the weaker one and its there since life started on this earth.
1371  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: January 16, 2020, 06:20:36 AM
Anything that goes unnoticed is harmful, same for carbon release in the air. For decades we are emitting carbon in the air without any check while cutting down the trees. Those who don't believe that global warming is real, can see the change of climate in there surroundings. We all are getting effected by this global warming, lets control it before it gets too late.
1372  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is planting trees actually good for the planet? on: January 15, 2020, 04:34:56 PM
Tree's benefits are enormous, you can plant them without any fear of any side effects. The problem is we think too much for planting trees but no attention is paid while cutting these trees. There is no artificial way to fix the amount of carbon in the air, only trees can remove carbon from the air.
1373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin The King Of Crypto on: January 15, 2020, 03:04:49 PM
Bitcoin started the crypto revolution and that's the most obvious reason why it still leads the crypto industry. Altcoin market is heavily dependent on bitcoin price, as rise in btc brings rise in altcoin prices. The one main reason why bitcoin enjoys the confidence of investors is because of its secure and robust network.
1374  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Can Gain 100% In 2020 - Halving Not Priced In, Says Fundstrat on: January 15, 2020, 08:42:07 AM
Don't get too excited because of current bull run, we have whole year ahead of us. Its Iran USA tension which stimulated current bull run and even tension is over, the bull run is still ON. Bitcoin is known for giving huge returns only to those who can buy at right time and HODL. Dont expect good from bitcoin if you start buying now.
1375  Economy / Economics / Re: 10M Bitcoins Haven’t Moved in More Than a Year, Highest Since 2017 on: January 15, 2020, 08:22:25 AM
Its probably because many have lost there keys while others don't have a place to spend and are accumulating them as an asset of investment. There will be total supply of 21 million and if this figure 10M bitcoin is true then this means many are hodling bitcoins for day to come. Though I doubt these stats.
1376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Get Its First Price? on: January 15, 2020, 05:16:27 AM
Today, the price of bitcoin is going up and down. Many are saying that the price of Bitcoin cannot reach $ 20,000 now.
That can be the right thing to see. This is the reason why Bitcoin has been locked in several countries. The only way Bitcoin can be priced in its true state is if the countries where Bitcoin is closed are removed. Did I say right?

When bitcoin reached its first ATH, it was not known to many and strict regulations came after that ATH was reached. Even with the ban bitcoin can go up and cross its ATH of 20,000$. If one is certain that bitoin will cross its ATH, then he must not waste time in buying the bitcoin at current time. We only jump in when price goes up and ignore bitcoin when its down.
1377  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why its easy for a new comer to get scam on: January 14, 2020, 12:55:27 PM
Everyone thinks that cryptocurrency is very easy to play with and there is no prior knowledge required to get started with crypto. When a new comer comes with this mindset along with huge capital, he got scammed by experts of this field. If you spend some time in this sector before investing you can surly get aware of how to tackle scam.
1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China & The Bitcoin on: January 14, 2020, 12:34:23 PM
If I am not wrong Google, Facebook and Youtube all are banned in china ( Why Are Google Facebook And Youtube Blocked In China - Decode China ). One of the main reason apart from censorship is that china don't want its capital to go out of the country. How can China allows a decentralized currency thats not in there control and with which capital can be very easily moved out of the country?
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are giving too much attention on the halving on: January 14, 2020, 10:07:20 AM
I think this subject should be discussed more and promoted further by influencers to convince everyone to give Bitcoin a chance.

I dream for the day when every merchant, online or physical store, will have the price of Bitcoin tagged next to fiat price and I think it will become reality soon.

promoting bitcoin is actually an obligation for us crypto users, maybe some people will be interested to start adopting bitcoin when they see our promotion, maybe it will also benefit us by increasing bitcoin adoption so it is very possible that bitcoin prices will also rise higher.

but in my opinion as a payment method, it looks like bitcoin isn't quite ready right now because there are still some transaction problems that need to be fixed.

Bitcoin transaction has some serious issues like scalability and high fee during congestion. Probably that's why bitcoin hasn't taken off in tern of payment method. We have lightning network to solve this but it's still in early days.
1380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest crypto mystery still revolves around Satoshi’s identity on: January 14, 2020, 03:45:45 AM
nowadays Satoshi's identity has turned into a source of income for different people! from these low quality website that keep creating clickbaits to the big scammers like CSW everyone is trying to make some money from it!
the worst part is that there has not been anything new for at least half a decade. everything is the repetition of all that has been rehashed a million times.

Thats true. Everyone is well aware of that faketoshi which is popular on bitcointalk.org also (lets not name him,so he can get more fame).

I think it doesnt matter now that who was Satoshi Nakamoto. There is no benefit we can get nor original satoshi if his ID is disclosed.
