1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be the reason why Satoshi never made himself known to the public? on: April 19, 2023, 11:31:37 PM
Today I just seem to be experimenting with the use of A.I, and a thought just came into my head that what if I ask ChatGPT what could possibly be the reason why the famous inventor of Bitcoin "Satoshi Nakamoto" never made himself known to the public and here is what ChatGPT has to say regarding this topic that has been a bone of contention on this forum for over a decade now.

Anything the ChatGPT communicates to you is simply information that has been stored on its server. This information was originally written by someone else, copied from the source material, and stored in the AI database. If you were to ask Google the same question, you might receive a similar answer, even if it's not exactly the same content. As for why Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, remains anonymous, the image from the second paragraph provides some insight.

However, it's more likely that Satoshi chose to remain anonymous because they believed it was in the best interest of the Bitcoin network, try and compare the actions of Altcoin teams and their performance to what the Bitcoin community is doing on Bitcoin, you will gain a better understanding of why they made this decision.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF ONLY EVERYONE CAN EASILY ACCEPT CRYPTO on: April 19, 2023, 11:12:56 PM
High rate of crypto illiteracy still makes me sad.

I made a transaction through my bank, Fortunately the money was'nt received by the suppose receiver and i was debited.
I went to the bank for transfer error issue, spending more than 5hours trying to get access into the bank(due to crowd) and 3hrs trying to fix the transfer error.

My point here is that, if i had sent the money in form of crypto(Bitcoin), my transaction would have run smoothly, the only way i would have had an issue was if i had transfer to the wrong address.

Note: Crypto illiterate as mentioned above is not an insult, they are individuals with low crypto knowledge.

What's your opinion ? .

But research has shown that lack of awareness of crypto has reduced over time, at least a graduate from tertiary institutions or high school has heard of bitcoin, the only challenge of bitcoin we are facing right now is the adoption which I believe is growing gradually, it will continue to grow until it is spread to every corner of the world where we don't need to repeat the name twice, it would be everywhere across every city legally adopted as legal tender or legally allow for people to hold on their own will, though the thing is this, not everyone will accept bitcoin even if bitcoin is adopted by the governments across the world.
1363  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: April 19, 2023, 11:00:42 PM
Make commitment to yourself in your finances and work towards the achievement of financial freedom, if we are people that think we can go smart enough in achieving a milestone by combining one or two source of finances together then it's fine, because money is never too much, let us take good care of ourselves so that we can think right and apply wisdom in our financial economy that it would always yield good return.

Even if you work three jobs simultaneously, it can still be challenging to save money during times of economic hardship. When inflation devalues the currency and reduces the purchasing power of your income, your earnings may not be enough to cover basic expenses. Earning from a single job in a stable economic environment can be more fulfilling. but when the monetary value of the currency declines, financial freedom becomes difficult to achieve, and you may end up earning more but still struggling to save money, spending it on little, everyday expenses.

I recall a time when a menial job could yield modest earnings that were sufficient for enjoying good meals and feeling content but, nowadays, if you were to offer such a sum to a toddler, they might even turn it down and ask for a larger amount instead. This illustrates how children understand that small amounts of money hold little worth and cannot fulfill their desires for bigger items, this highlights the diminishing value of money in our society.
1364  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption Should Be Taught From Young Age on: April 19, 2023, 10:43:39 PM
If you want to combat corruption, you have to tackle it from every angle, not necessarily from young age while the grownups whom they look up to are still deeply corrupt.
They say children learn from their parents, corruption is a phenomenon that needs to be addressed from all angles, from the aged down to the younger ones.
In a very corrupt country the best thing to do is handling it head-on. Meaning from the government down to the masses, no exception. If the government is corrupt, the system is corrupt, the people will equally be corrupt.

It is very important to instill values of integrity and discipline in children from an early age, ideally within the time frame when they can still be influenced. However, external factors such as societal norms and surroundings can also impact an individual's development and character as they mature. For example, growing up in the US may provide less exposure to corruption compared to growing up in other places. Nevertheless, this does not imply that other places are corrupt countries, but rather that corruption has become ingrained in some aspects of society, necessitating vigilant monitoring and guidance for children to avoid falling prey to it.
1365  Economy / Economics / Re: Bans on crypto now looks like a joke on: April 19, 2023, 10:17:30 PM
Which country between these two would you rather see welcoming crypto and fully embracing Bitcoin? China? The United States?

I read an article that says that upon the ban of Cryptocurrencies in China over 30 million Chinese are using Crypto in the country.

At this point in Bitcoin and crypto life, Ban is no more an issue it seems, what do you think about this? It's like saying a country ban VPNs where as you can bypass any country's FireWall.

Banning crypto is no more effective on crypto itself, it's now more like a pure joke, I would still like to see the U.S embrace crypto more than China, just my own answer to my question, what about you?

Comparing a Bitcoin ban and a VPN ban is not appropriate as they are fundamentally different. To clarify, when a country bans VPNs, you can still use them on your phone, but doing so would be considered illegal. If caught, you may face fines or even legal charges. However, it is possible to keep your VPN usage hidden since you are the only one using it.

On the other hand, if your country prohibits the use of Bitcoin, you can still hold onto it, but you will not have the freedom to use it as you wish. For example, converting it to your local currency may be difficult. This restriction means that you would have limited options for using your Bitcoin.

Mohamed salah is such a great player that his worst season in Liverpool is others brilliant season. Marcus Rashford has 15 goals this season in 29 matches with 4 assist while Mohamed Salah has the same 15 goals in 30 matches and has more assist than Marcus Rashford which is 7 assist. This means when combining the goal and assist, Mohammed Salah is above Marcus Rashford.

Both are players who are quite material and have very good potential, but judging from previous statistics I think Mohammed Salah is superior to Marcus Rashford. the achievements of the two are almost the same where Mohammed Salah and also Marcus Rashford have 15 goals in almost the same number of matches, and looking at this season maybe Marcus Rashford is better in the League, considering Liverpool's performance this season has declined.

Every team has its own season, like the previous one, Liverpool performed well by leading in most matches and secured a spot in the top 4, while Manchester United struggled due to internal conflicts with Ronaldo's behavior and the new manager. However, this season, Manchester United is performing better, but Liverpool is still unsure about whether they will participate in the Europa League. In my opinion, Salah is a better performer than Rashford in the Premier League, even when Rashford started earlier. Despite Salah with little over 15 appearances than Rashford, Salah has scored more goals than Rashford, who is far behind Salah. It is not fair to judge them based on their performance with just a season.

]I agree with you, the only reason we cannot discard completely a possible comeback by Chelsea is that we have seen even crazier things happening on the past, and as such Chelsea still has a chance to win and move forward to the next round, but if Chelsea plays at the same level they played their last match and Real Madrid does the same then there is almost no way for Chelsea to stage that comeback, so something must be done by their coach and their players to try to improve their performance in a hurry.
Chelsea tried to put on the early pressure on Real Madrid, but no difference in the scores still. One goal in this first half would have made so much difference and influence how the second half will be. Cucurella even though missed a very good opportunity to score, Reece James and Kante have been the best players for Chelsea in this first half. Chelsea have to try to score and not bank on the pressure they are putting on Real Madrid, we know how they have a good ability to soak up pressure and still score you.

Chelsea's aggressive attack was putting pressure on Real Madrid's defense, but thanks to the efforts of Camavinga, Carvajal, and Alaba, they were able to hold their ground. However, they became complacent, and Cucurella almost scored if not for Courtois' save. Meanwhile, Chelsea's attack from James and Kante was excellent. Real Madrid will need to come back stronger in the second half, or Chelsea may cause significant damage.

I have not seen the good side of Benzema in this match, Vinicius is playing his place but wasted a good chance to score a goal Modric worked for him, and also I am not too comfortable with the way they give Camavinga the ball all the time, it gives me anxiety.  Undecided

Manchester United's performance looks like they will do well in the Europa League. Manchester United is currently in a good place in the points table. Hopefully if they can maintain this consistency they can secure the Europa League title. Essentially, Manchester United needs to secure any title.

They unluckily conceded 2 goals in the first match against Sevilla and finished the match 2-2, but I think Manchester United will play a much more successful match in Spain.  I believe that Manchester United will celebrate the next round with a win with at least 3 goals.

Achieving the three goals you mentioned is a daunting task for Manchester United, with their current status of injuries. They have managed to keep a clean sheet against Nottingham Forest in their recent match, but this victory alone cannot fully define their success in the upcoming match against Sevilla. Sevilla's performance in La Liga has been average, and Nottingham Forest is already out of the EPL season due to their poor performance. I am not entirely confident about Manchester United's next match against Sevilla,  I will bet on the next match as over 1.5 because I know for sure that Sevilla will score a goal and Manchester United will also score a goal under regular time.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 17, 2023, 09:21:08 PM
Liverpool performance in this game is a bit fair, they dominated towards the ending of the first half , which gave the 2 goals lead so far, I saw a good cooperation between the midfielders and the front line players. Liverpool should do their best to secure this victory, in order for them to have the opportunity to be among the teams that will qualify for Europa cup come next season.

Based on today's result, it appears that my earlier prediction was correct, and Liverpool will likely finish in 6th place. This is because Nottingham Forest, who are currently sitting in the relegation zone, are not a major threat to Liverpool compared to other teams like Leeds United. Liverpool's main focus should be on maintaining consistency and avoiding any losses in their remaining matches, as this is a crucial moment in the season and Tottenham is also vying for a higher spot. The competition for standings is tight right now, the battle right now between teams from Liverpool down to Manchester United is 3 points difference, and once any team loses their next match, they will fall out of their place in the standing.

Napoli without the osimhen & Kvaratskhelia duo playing full time un the recent matches since 19 march were really bad downturn ... in the last 4 matches they are losing it two times draw once and win it for one time only after the whole season they are nearly become invincible .

Osimhen absence really make a huge impact , this time he is ready to play 90 minutes in a crucial match against ac milan who leading 1 - 0 at the frist leg of UCL , i bet napoli will still fail.
Personally I think the second leg is really unpredictable. Napoli will certainly play Osimhen from the first half, it will definitely increase their strength in attack. While the two teams have comparable chances even if Milan lead the first leg with a victory. I would not fully think Napoli will fail, but I tend to think Milan can advance to the next round this season.

Anyone can still qualify from this quarter-final stage, but perhaps what is less interesting is that we will again see two Serie A teams likely to batlle in the semi-finals. Inter is very likely to qualify, so one between Napoli and Milan will meet Inter in the semi-finals.
Although Milan beat Napoli by a huge margin in the previous match, I think Napoli won't make those machete mistakes in the second leg and might be able to beat Milan in a big way. Because I think the Napoli team is a team with a different performance.

Looking at their recent performance in the UCL against Napoli, the goal difference was the only thing that separated them. With the upcoming second leg and the advantage of playing on their home turf, they have the potential to reclaim their spot in the Semi-finals with their full squad available. It is my sincere hope that they do not suffer a defeat at this critical stage, they have come too far to lose now.

If they can achieve a clean sheet victory in this tense and heated moment, Napoli will establish their dominance over Milan, and Milan will continue to fear them in future matches, also, my trust in them to book bets will be twice now because I will pass on this match, I don't have confidence to bet this match.

I was really surprised by the match between Valencia and Sevilla. Valencia held two-thirds of possession for the entire match. Even then, Valencia could not score any goals and could not attack much of anything. On the other hand, Sevilla's attack created great chances and managed to score two goals. The match needed a Valencia victory as the standard of play.
valencia only dominated ball possession but they didn't have an effective attack, it was clear to see because of the 3 shots on goal they made, none of them became goals, while for sevilla they successfully completed all the opportunities that existed and from 3 shots on goal they made, 2 of which became goals. sevilla getting further away from the relegation zone.
Valencia had the possession but the struggled to break into Sevilla's defense. The were having good short from outside the box but none went near the post, we also saw eager they were to play penalty on two occasions. Sevilla were able to create good chances for themselves. They had better communication on the skill than Valencia, the two goals scored against Valencia showed how poor they were to defend a game they were possessing.

Valenica's track record of consecutive losses in matches is alarming, the last one they had with Sevilla, I did not watch it but the outcome did not surprise me. Instead of focusing on their shortcomings, Valencia's spokesperson is engaging in an unprofessional altercation with the referee, very bad in my opinion.

On a lowkey, Valencia is good but their performance was only outstanding in the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey tournaments that have even ended. They have consistently placed between 10th and 15th in Lalilag (the Spanish league) over the past five years. It is possible that this season could result in their relegation, with an opportunity for further training.

Liverpool vs leeds united tonight is going to be a tough match between both clubs as Liverpool fight to make some good records in the short time remaining in this season's premier league where the club have underperformed a lot in recent matches and at that they looking out to make some good use of the remaining time in the season and Leeds untied seem to be a weaker club compared to Liverpool and according to recent happenings leeds united have also performed worst than Liverpool and that is a great opportunity for Liverpool to make use of to come out with good points after tonight game.

If not that Liverpool made mistakes in the first leg and connected to Lead United, they are known to always trash them but it seems they are already trying to fix their first mistake as Gakpo has netted the first goal, everything is in favor of Liverpool and I am having more confidence to win this match than Lead United to win this one.

Quote
But since football is a hard event to predict its outcome we must have to wait for the 90 minutes to give us the reality of the results from both clubs playing tonight at 19:00, I guess Liverpool is well prepared to face leads United with the most positive motivation that will guarantee their stability to sustain their desired pace till the finals. Because Liverpool is booked to be the stumbling point to some of the top clubs that have some remaining legs with the club even though Liverpool may not make it to the top of the league table this season.

I like how they set up the match to be played now and in particular, it will favour Liverpool if they beat Lead United in this round. In addition, if they can win their next two games, they will have played 31 matches, which is equal to what the majority of teams have played, and by the time that happens, they will be ahead of Aston Villa in sixth place hopefully but not a guarantee because we know how Liverpool disappoints.

Arsenal have let a 0-2 lead slip at the moment. It is 2-2 and a lot can happen, but I think Arsenal will suffer another loss of points. So you see that there has been a lot of pressure on Arsenal and that they have suffered unnecessary loss of points in the last few games. But they can still win the game, of course. But for City this would be the perfect opportunity to reduce the difference with Arsenal to 1 point in this way. Saka will sleep very bad to late if the game will end in 2-2.

Your Wizard prediction precedes your reputation today! Grin The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with Arsenal moving up one point above Manchester City. Unfortunately, this outcome confirms my fears for Arsenal, and my confidence in them has waned. Unless a miracle occurs, it will be difficult for Arteta to lead the Gunners to victory in this competition with such a narrow margin of points.

I was satisfied with the effort they put into the match and how they utilized their energy to increase their speed in the beginning. However, toward the end of the first half, their gameplay became senseless, and I became skeptical that they would concede a goal. Unfortunately, my prediction came true in the second half, and they lost a significant opportunity to West Ham, who is struggling to avoid relegation, sometimes I just hate football. Sad
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 16, 2023, 11:34:15 AM
The match between Arsenal and West Ham will be a very competitive match. Because both the teams are performing great at present. Although Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League points table, West Ham have some great players who I think will make tonight's match very exciting.
Wes Ham is not as difficult as Arsenal imagines because I believe Arsenal will be easy to beat. Their strength Wes Ham is not comparable to Arsenal's strength, which has often won every game, and Arsenal is currently in first place at the top of the standings, so this must be taken advantage of well to score lots of goals and add points and make them even more difficult to catch.

I am not concerned about Westham's current position, but I am apprehensive about Arsenal losing the title race to Manchester City. Arsenal has faced the challenge of holding on to the top spot throughout the season, dropping and working hard to regain their position. Right now, Manchester City needs just one game to ascend the standings, while Arsenal needs one win match to either maintain their position or fall below Manchester City; It would be heartbreaking for Arsenal to lose the lead with only a few games left in the season, even though I do not stand to gain anything from their victory.

I think Roma can still move Feyenoord out of their way in the tournament. Because their performance in the first leg was really promising actually. They wasted unbelievable opportunities in that game. One of them was a ball almost passing the goal line and the other one was a penalty. This game could have ended more differently if one of those attempts ended up with a goal.

I expect to watch a more effective Roma in this home game. Feyenoord's priority will be to secure this advantage to the end so they might play a little more defensive. Roma need to take advantage of their attacking power.

Shakhtar suffered a brutal defeat in the round of 16 against Feyenoord, who secured a 7-1 victory in the first leg. However, Feyenoord's performance in the second leg was lackluster. If they play against Roma in the same way they did in the first leg, they may face elimination because Roma aggressively defended and capitalized on their chances, scoring a goal at the end. Feyenoord must adjust its strategy to compete effectively against Roma.

The way things are going, both teams appear to lack the potential to advance beyond the Quarter-Final stage. Anyways, historically Roma has a record of losing to Feyenoord. However, there is a possibility that this trend could be reversed this time around, as long as Roma remains focused and doesn't lose their guard in defending as they did in their home.
1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 15, 2023, 05:59:36 PM
This is how you lose the title. You have a player more a big lead and you end up drawing the match. Its like they hit the self-destruct button, this was the perfect chance for Dortmund to grab a win and make Bayern uncoftorble. Also bayern almost lost all points against Hoffenheim that played really good attacking football

It's really weird what happened to Dortmund in this match. Although I didn't watch it, I was watching the result and thought Dortmund has climbed to lead the rankings table. After that, I was shocked when I saw the final result, because Stuttgart didn't look like the team that could come back. However, the excitement of football comes from these cases. This match proved that a match doesn't end until the last signal of the referee. In addition, the German teams and the Bundesliga are known to be full of these situations. Anyway, Dortmund might regret missing these 2 points later, while Bayern should be thanking god because Dortmund didn't win, as they could have lost everything this season.

While I was watching the Chelsea match, I received an App notification that left me in disbelief. Stuttgart had a player that was sent off with a red card, but they managed to hold their own with 10 players against 11 and even scored 3 goals to equalize. This is surprising considering they have only won straight 5 games all season, that match warrants further analysis, but the question remains whether they can climb out of the relegation zone. Even though there are more intimidating teams ahead of them, Stuttgart should use this match as motivation to secure at least two wins to stay in the Bundesliga next season.

Surprisingly, the Villarreal vs Valladolid match was ironic for the hosts who trailed 0-2 to the visitors. even 2 goals were made in the first half with one very quick goal. this really shocked the Villarreal players.
now Villarreal are dominating the match, they are trying to score goals and reduce the gap. the game has entered the 65th minute, not much time for Villarreal to score a goal. they must immediately take the initiative to dismantle Valladolid's defenses.
But the match ended with a victory for Valladolid with a score of 1-2. Even though Villarreal had caught up with 1 goal, it was not enough to equalize until the final minute. The result was quite surprising considering that Villarreal was so favored to win, but instead lost.

On the other hand, Valladolid's victory had to be paid for with the loss of a red card received by one of Pezzolano's players in the 74th minute. With this result, Villarreal must be stuck in 5th place in the standings and if Betis wins against Espanyol in the match then their position will be shifted by Betis in this week.
It is quite unfortunate that Villarreal the host couldn't score a goal in the first half and Villadolid scored all their two goals in the first half, with an early goal in the second minutes of the first half. This shows that Villarreal underestimated their opponent and for this reason they find it difficult to play Villadiolid.

It was after the red card given to a player in Villadolid that Villarreal was able to score a goal to end the match 2-1 against Villareal. Villarreal is 5th on the table and I don't think that they will last long on their position because Real Betis is just two points behind them, and if Real Betis should win their match, they will put Villarreal behind them with a point difference.

Early goals often frustrate me because the team that scores in the opening minutes of the match tends to lose more frequently. However, Valladolid impressed me by maintaining their level of play until the final whistle, perhaps due to their fear of being relegated. But still, I have great admiration for Villareal's performance, had Chukwueze's goal not been disallowed, the match would have likely ended in a draw, with each team earning one point. Villareal still has a chance to finish in the top four or even take over the lead, depending on their performances in the next round.

I added a new poll for quarter final.

Poll Question: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season Winner?
Feyenoord
Roma
Bayer Leverkusen
Union Saint-Gilloise
Manchester United
Sevilla
Juventus
Sporting CP

Please vote!

Should Manchester United advance to the quarterfinals, I doubt they will make it past the semi-finals. The competition appears to be intensifying, and injuries to key players are taking a toll. Rashford, their star winger, has been absent for a week, and Martinez will be out for the remainder of the season. Moreover, it's unclear whether they will adopt an offensive or defensive strategy going forward.

If Sevilla manages to eliminate Manchester United in the second leg, my confidence in their ability to win the trophy will increase. This is because, if Juventus eliminates Sporting CP, it will set up a match between them and Sevilla, and they will face Bayern Leverkusen in the final.

The Premier League have confirmed clubs have voluntarily agreed to remove gambling sponsors from the front of their matchday shirts from the start of the 2025/26 season.

This is a move to try to reduce promotion of gambling in the premier league with it's increasing audience, do you think it can successfully reduce the number of people who gamble? What do you think? Will these gambling platforms not just move to other sports, do you think other sports that wear their sponsors name in England will adopt this new development in the premier league?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/premier-league-clubs-to-remove-gambling-sponsors-from-front-of-shirts/ar-AA19Ogeu

I believe that teams collaborating with the Premier League to display advertisements on their shirts are required to agree to a deal that mandates all clubs to wear the ads, similar to how we saw the "NO TO RACISM" campaign. While I find this practice cool, I don't think it is necessary for clubs to advertise on gambling platforms. However, the management of the Premier League may be attempting to generate revenue for the federation through these ads.

If clubs are permitted to create their own promotions and choose the gambling companies they wish to collaborate with, it could potentially generate more revenue. It should not be solely up to the Premier League to decide which companies the clubs must work with. It's even possible that the clubs themselves could negotiate better deals than what the Premier League currently offers.

With the way Chelsea Football Club is playing these days. I don't think that they are playing to achieve anything, it looks as if if they don't play they will say that they are not footballers anymore. So they have to go and play whatever result they have they will take. The owner of Chelsea is tired, Graham Potter is vindicated, Frank Lampard is confused. The players don't want to play. In fact, the fans are tired. This is not the season for Chelsea. They should pray not to go for relegation. Maybe next season Chelsea will come with their squad and become the champions of the English Premier League.

Chelsea is receiving criticism for minor errors that would have gone unnoticed before  Grin. Although the team's performance under Todd Boely is frustrating, it is important to note that this is his first season since he purchased the club. Boely may not have prior experience running a football club business, but Chelsea has invested in great players this season, even acquiring those coveted by other clubs.

However, it is not the end for the Blues, as even Roman Abrahamovic experienced a poor season before ultimately winning a trophy. The only area where Chelsea's performance is lacking is in their inability to qualify for the European Leagues, which means they will remain in England for the next two seasons, that is if they made it out by then.
