1361  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Naija election without rigging on: February 08, 2023, 03:22:48 PM
Omo this particular election, I believe say rigging no go dey too paramount because the new electoral act way INEC put for place don reduce the opportunity of Electoral malpractice like over voting, using of incident forms. The only loophole way dey now na vote buying, but FG don dey try to do something about that one, way people no fit go bank withdraw long sum again and also the use of old naira notes during the election period.

1364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoin have transited since its inception on: February 04, 2023, 06:06:14 PM
I spent some time looking at the graph and was able to see how the trajectory had changed from year to year. It is such a blessing to be alive and to be able to experience this moment.
The detractors who claim bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme will keep burying their heads in shame.
What we are witnessing is a promising future geared toward enhancing bitcoin and the Blockchain technology in the near future. Bitcoin will continue to grow in leaps and bounds across the globe.

1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Act local and think global on: February 04, 2023, 05:43:41 PM
It's a great idea to "act local and think global" in your caption. Over the years, Bitcoin has encircled the world with its tentacles. Although many of us live in local communities—some of us even reside in extremely distant areas—we have heard of bitcoin and have invested in it to the best of our ability.

Bitcoin has a way of promoting itself to even the most remote regions you can imagine, so although the idea of meeting people and lecturing them about it is a nice one.

1366  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The hardest January in history on: February 03, 2023, 04:32:10 PM

1367  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: February 03, 2023, 04:04:42 PM
Do you think social media is now becoming more a place for business than socializing, Could it be as a result of digitalization and things moving online or more people now starting business online because of need to somehow generate income or another source of income for self to survive the economic situations which is becoming tougher?

Social media is a location where people interact, therefore if you're a business owner, you can simply get customers there.

People are interested about meeting new business ideas and selling their items online since communication between people improves ideas.

Therefore, socialization serves as the foundation for commercial ideas to a considerable extent, and social media and business are intertwined, hence the reason why you see much of business activities on social media.
1368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to acquire Bitcoin without having the basic knowledge? on: February 02, 2023, 07:32:18 PM
I think you should buy the bitcoin for your neighbor, since his money is involved, I believe he will grow interest in it. You should as well teach him the rudiments of bitcoin and crypto market so he won't get Lost.
1369  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think corruptors will be happy or miserable in the future? on: February 02, 2023, 05:31:05 PM
Corruptors are emboldened by their corrupt practices, they don't feel a single atom of regret after leaving office. The proceeds of corruption makes them to leave in affluence, they can easily evade justice ⚖️ by one means or the other.

So i believe they don't feel any regrets or miserable at all.
1370  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto child savings account on: February 02, 2023, 01:45:14 PM
I don't think crypto works like your normal bank account, I believe you can achieve this by opening a Crypto wallet for your kids, keep up with the routine progress on the wallet till they come of age, share the password and login details with your spouse should in case of any eventuality.

1371  Economy / Economics / Re: Monthly or weekly pay? Fixed or percentage earning? what is your prefrence. on: February 02, 2023, 01:19:53 PM
I think I will be going for a weekly pay, because my bills comes in everyday, from the transport, electricity, food, internet service and miscellaneous expenditure all comes in on a daily basis.

so weekly payment will help me plan and strategize myself on how to foot my bills on a weekly basis and keep up with my savings as against compounding them to 31 days which I believe as parents, it will be difficult to keep up with the day to day running of the family because wanting to wait till the end of 31 days before getting paid will leave you lagging behind with your bills.

sometimes because of the lengthy days, you must have borrowed from a friend to keep up with a sudden need, and that will make you struggle to keep up with a lot of things.

In terms of the job preference, I think I will go for a job with a fixed monthly or weekly income because it will help determined the scale of things I can budget for myself on a weekly or monthly basis.

If the work load is too much, at the long run I will apply for increase in wage.
1372  Economy / Economics / Re: Can commodities return to its price last year? on: February 01, 2023, 11:46:45 AM
Just way the legendary Tupac sang, " that's just the way it is! Things will never be the same". If an economy is hit by inflation, it's almost likely near impossible for commodities to go back to its normal price especially if there are no internal market forces to control the situation.

Inflation and it's multiplier effect on an economy will continue to grow, except critical measures are taken by the government to scuffle the growth of inflation by controlling the monopoly of the market forces. In so doing, prices of goods and services and the rising cost of commodities will be brought down.
1373  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Starlink is officially active in Nigeria. on: January 31, 2023, 08:49:50 PM

Omo elon musk satellite don enter we country oh.

The internet in Nigeria will witness a new dimension of internet service, as spacex the parent company of starlink officially announced the launching of their satellite service in Nigeria.

The minister of communication and digital economy Isa pantami described it a great achievement.

The current network provider in Nigeria will be given a run for their money, as starlink monthly subscription of 43 dollar which is about 19 or 20k a month, gives you unlimited internet service.

1375  Other / Off-topic / Re: Here are the Top 5 Reasons of Why I Hate Banks. on: January 29, 2023, 04:02:13 PM
Well most of the reason you rolled out about why you hate Bank might not entirely be true,

1 they think they are superior.
Actually bank staffs are trained to be very respectful and patient with customer. They are trained to be polite while talking to a customer, they don't look down on any customer, they are trained and retrained on customer care services.

2 charges or fee
I'm not really standing brief for any bank, but one thing I want you to understand is that, the bank is a financial institution, they make their money through charges on deposit, withdrawal and loans facilities they give out to customers, they don't have an exceptional source of income.

1376  Economy / Economics / Re: China Digital yuan vs US dollars on: January 29, 2023, 01:03:29 PM
Well in terms of currency dominance, the Chinese yuan cannot challenge the USD on the international market,  however the idea of introducing a digital yuan is a welcome development,  because it will help in improving China's economy. But the notion of a certain currency wanting to fill in the vacuum of the USD shouldn't be encouraged for now, because nations are still trying to stabilize their economy.
1377  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / The japa syndrome and how generations has been affected. on: January 29, 2023, 11:34:03 AM
Almost everything week, a member of a family for nija dey talk bye bye either to friends or family, with the mind say them fit no see again oh for this life.

Plenty of the people dem way dey japa talk say, them just dey exist for the country, say nothing come out for their side, say e better say dem travel go find greener pastures for oyibo man country.

This Japa thing don make, friends and family no dey see each other again and them fit no see each other again for this life.   Deji way be your bone man, don travel to UK, Tony A.K.A Tonero and chidubem don travel go US.
This na your men way Una dey chill every night for angle 90 bar dey drink beer, talk about plenty things and also dey laugh together. Abi na when Tonero tell you say, Omo him don find new peppersoup joint for up town, then in the evening all of una wan go unravel the new place way Tony see.

Your children way you even born for jant too, fit no Sabi their cousins, them fit no Sabi their own grandfather and grandmother.

If the kind of leadership way we get for we country no change, way people go begin see the reason why them dey exist for we country, then i dey sorry to say this, Japa syndrome don come to stay oh and plenty generation go continue to dey separated from each other.
1378  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: The fuel crisis issue in Nigeria and what I found out. on: January 28, 2023, 08:00:24 AM

As at today, there is a memo by NNPC, that is going round, that the price of the product has increased to 185, it then means some of us will continue to buy this product at 200 and something Naira and above.

After all this been said and where the problem is coming from. Is it that the NNPC is higher than the government or the government are using them to make money? I don’t understand why NNPC will bypass giving the fuel to government to sell them. There’s something fishy about all this and I hope and pray the truth about it is revealed soon. We are tired of the long queues and waiting to buy fuel.

My brother, the thing be say na NNPC be the guys way dey for power cash cow, there is a reason why they made NNPC a limited liability company towards the end of this administration. Don't forget that they always made the ministry of petroleum not be directly incharge of NNPC, there is a whole lot of racketeering going on.
1379  Other / Politics & Society / Facebook And Instagram reinstate Donald trump's account on: January 25, 2023, 11:11:58 PM
Facebook and Instagram have restored the accounts of former president Donald Trump.

After two years of suspending the social media accounts of the former president of the United States of America Donald trump, today his accounts has been reinstated.

In January 2021, he was permanently banned from both sites as a result of his post regarding the disturbances at the US Capitol, he called the thundreds of his supporters that invaded the US capitol complex "patriot ".
That didn't resonate well with a lot of American's, because that invasion lead to the death of about four civilians and a police man.

So far that, his social media accounts where all suspended, but today what we are seeing in the news is that, his both account for Instagram and Facebook has been reinstated but for his Twitter account, there hasn't been any news on that yet.

Though Some people believes his reinstatement is connected to next year's elections, because fingers are already pointed at him to be a strong contestant, so reinstating his accounts will help him spread his campaign tentacles.

So guys what do you think, is his reinstatement connected to the forth coming elections or not?

1380  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: The fuel crisis issue in Nigeria and what I found out. on: January 25, 2023, 07:22:41 PM
Discovering crude oil in Nigeria has caused greed and lack of trust on its citizens,it made the government to abandon every other means of natural resources endowed to Nigeria by nature, which would have been used as a means of revenue for the country. Still these people wey dey thief this crude money which are the Minister of Petroleum,Minister of Petroleum (State), NNPC Director till down down. Them no fit use their head know say the more ministry dey give them money, them for fix all our three refinery of at least one to use help their pocket but instead them use am dey punish the citizens wey no get their level.

If you too think about this country government, you go just see am say na wickedness and bad belle na e the leaders dey do the citizens. This na lesson for all man to know say no be only the bad people fit dey contest for election, make good people with integrity too join politics. This na the only way to kick out this bad eggs for we country. We need to change our orientation say no be to collect but to give

The good people no dey gree come out to contest election. By good people we mean, people with upright character and Principles.

A lot of them dey see politics as a dirty game, and they don't want to soil their hands. So the least among us are the ones on leadership roles, and so far, they've lead of us to the part of destruction.
