^ It's all arguable and no one is right or wrong.  And one implementation doesn't necessarily mean it's better than the other one.
13602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Max Keiser interviews me about NXT in Lamborghini! :) on: September 29, 2015, 08:26:30 AM
***cut stuff***

You should be praising him, because only success stories like his will bring people into crypto. Nobody wants to get into crypto when they hear about scams and thefts.

Crypto is the next tech boom.

+1, we have enough misery, scammers and thieves in crypto.....we need happy people trust fund babies in bright yellow Lambo's having fun.

FYP.

edit:  And yes I am jealous.
13603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [EMUNIE] THE fastest crypto-currency on: September 29, 2015, 07:56:00 AM
THE fastest crypto-currency is BitShares 2.0 over 100 000 transactions per second scalability (1 second block)
https://bitshares.org/technology/industrial-performance-and-scalability

Will be launched October 13 with 3 seconds block (30 000 transactions per second)

Arguable.  Emunie doesn't have the delegates system you have, but is truly and fully decentralized.

It's depends from that you mean under fully decentralized, Bitcoin also was designed to be fully decentralized but today you have 3 pools which have more that 50% hashing power.

Today BitShares has 101 block signers (delegates) in 2.0 it's will be configurable without hard fork, so if shareholders will decide to have more decentralization they can vote to 1001 delegate.
Bitcoin has 3+ block signers, Ripple has 7, BitShares has 101, Nxt has 700+, eMunie - potentially unlimited like Bitcoin?

I guess fuserleer meant as in fully decentralized, like when Bitcoin was still at the CPU mining stage of its development.  But let's wait for him to drop by and explain.
13604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH collapsing. NxT UP. on: September 29, 2015, 07:17:27 AM

Do you think NxT is gonna rise?

yes, especially if they release Freemarket & Supernet.  All Bitcoin2.O coins rise in value when they release new features. NXT, ETH, XCP, BTS, ETC. EZ money.

And then falls again?  I think he meant if it's going to rise and go up for good, like Bitcoin.

Why not sell the Lambo and buy up NXT?

oh god lol

what do you think he sold to buy the Lambo?

Well he can sell the Lambo, buy up NXT, everyone follows (again), sell the NXT back...  Boom!  Now he can buy two Lambos.
13607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [EMUNIE] THE fastest crypto-currency on: September 29, 2015, 03:04:18 AM
Ah, no matter.  I'll wait for the open beta.  Thanks.

Should be a few days before the 7 horsemen of the apocalypse approach.

I'll be patient.  Grin

Eth falling...

NxT implementing coinshuffling, looking stronger than ever.

Do you think NxT is gonna rise like crazy soon?

If that dude on youtube sells his lambo and buys up NXT then yes.  Grin

How can one be an Emunie beta tester?
13612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What, exactly, constitutes a good platform? on: September 29, 2015, 01:35:26 AM
I think fuseleer of emunie made a claim that their network can scale to 2000+txs/s and that it is truly decentralized.  No delegates or supernodes or whatever.

So I guess in crypto, stick to the basics and let's start with decentralization in the truest sense (like how BTC started with CPU mining) and scaling that to Visa like proportions.

Just in case anyone under a rock missed it:

So this is where BCNext spent all that NXT profit.  Nice car!
13614  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: September 29, 2015, 01:24:30 AM
Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?

lol.  No.  Is he retarded?  Not even China's Yuan will replace the USD.  The US Military will blow everybody up before it can happen. They got the best military in the world.  The US is even giving everyone the finger right now and laughing.

Lol, tell me when the US military has been tested in a real dog-fight encounter? They can only fight militarily retarded nations like Panama or Somalia (and with varied success at that). The whole NATO couldn't do a thing to the Yugoslav Army in 1999, instead preying upon civilians...

If they suck, then why is every country scared shitless of the US.  Yes even China wouldn't dare go toe to toe with them.  And those skirmishes in third world countries are nothing but showing off what's new in the weapons industry.  Sort of weapons makers like Lockheed, Northrop etc.. advertising their goods so to speak via the US military.

It's a billion dollar industry, and the third world is the test bed and advertising medium.

Sorry but getting a blow job from a nun has a better chance of happenning than BTC replacing the USD.

I knew a slutty nun once, she has been kicked out since Cheesy

But seriously, even the Roman Empire has collapsed, and they had the best military back then. Every economy based on fiat money will collapse eventually.

Yeah.  But in 15 years?  Nope!

13617  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to make a living online? on: September 28, 2015, 07:37:11 AM
I have been interested in the various ways there are of making money on the internet. From the GPT/PTC sites to others like swagbucks.com, I have been earning money online since 2009. At the time, I was still skeptical of making money online at all to begin with yet so Bitcoin was out of the question. Now from what I see the best methods involve bitcoin. Today, finding a job writing or programming or something similar online in exchange for bitcoin seems to be the way to go these days. What do you do to earn extra income online?

All on black.

13618  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you estimate the bottom value of Ethereum at? on: September 28, 2015, 07:27:47 AM
Fellow bitcoiners,

When I first heard and read about ehtereum, I was very ciked. A protocol to which every online service can build a layer on top to make use of the trust the p[rotocol brings with it, think about contracts, governing, everything can be decentral as a result Smiley

Yet I knew the price was very much inflated at the start, as usual with pre-sales. Eventhough I know Ether could be worth much more than 0,05, since it has the possibility and ambition to encorporate EVERYTHING into the blockchain!

I'm still waiting, lurking to buy at the right time. I allmost bought a shitload @ 0.003, glad I waited, since this morning it was yet lower again.

I'm interested in views others, positive negative and any predictions on price, based on your views or arguments.

In crypto it's not allways arguments that win, but I want to know what the community thinks about bottom price, and the protocol ehtereum itself Smiley

This is the bottom now.  I suggest you all buy today.
13619  Economy / Economics / Re: Spain : if Catalonia choose independance, what currency will they use ? on: September 28, 2015, 07:24:15 AM
If catalans vote the exit from Spain,  will Catalonia be a future european state and use euro currency  ?

No, they will use bitcoin.
13620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The prisoner's dilemma of altcoin development: It's time to join forces. on: September 28, 2015, 07:12:51 AM
There is so much talent in the crypto community, and I remember back to the "glory days" of the altcoin scene in 2013 when it seemed like altcoins were popping like popcorn.  No one was sure what would stick and what wouldn't, so everyone threw everything at the wall.  Dogecoin had the best chance of sticking, but even it slowly slid to the floor (along with the rest).

Now here we are in 2015.

It takes an undeniable amount of effort to launch and run a major cryptocurrency.  The amount of effort that has gone into Shadowcash is impressive.  The amount of *ahem* effort that has gone into Dash is also... significant.  Many others that deserve recognition too (even if in branding and community), so forgive me if I didn't mention you.

But the time has come to stop the petty altcoin wars.

The time has come to STOP taking the "small reward" at the expense of clogging up the internet with more useless crypto.  The small reward is nothing... what is few hundreds of thousands of dollars in the big scheme of things?  Nothing.

The BIG REWARD is staring us right in the face, but guess what?  Just like the famous prisoner's dilemma we are going to have to cooperate to get it.  What is this big reward?  Cryptonote, and specifically Monero development.  The writing is on the wall folks: this is going to be the next major cryptocurrency and we are only prolonging our misery by working on separate & unrelated projects.

Put down your altcoins and clones.

The time has come to join forces and contribute to one, true, lasting project.  ALL talents are needed, from core developers to community managers to graphic designers to financial experts.  Everyone has a part to play, just like with the original bitcoin.  It might take us forsaking the use/abuse of our talent to gain that next $50,000 from unsuspecting 'investors' but we must make that small sacrifice so we can all share in the big reward that is coming.

Because fuck fifty thousand dollars.  If you do this with us, and you get involved in Monero now, that's it.  That's the last time you will ever need money.  Because what we will create will laugh as it soars past a paltry trillion dollar market cap.

I see an entire message board filled with some of the sharpest intelligence that humanity has to offer.  We are men and women that possess abilities that others could only dream of!  And what do we waste it on?  SpongeBobCoin?  WeedTokens?  NO MORE.

We have the next generation of cryptocurrency and it isn't vaporware to be launched "one day".  It's here now and poised to consume not just the entire crypto market (and leave the bitcoin 'faithful' wondering wtf just happened) but it will continue eating and consuming value until it represents a share of stock in the entirety of human endeavor.  All of the dinosaur money the world uses now is valued at about $80 trillion, but once Monero really gets underway?  The productivity and potential of humanity will soar right past $80 trillion in today's dollars - we are talking a market cap measured in the quadrillions.

Right now.

Here.

The future of all money.

And fuck merely owning it.  You can help build it.  You can be the equivalent of one of the founding fathers of modern finance.

So do NOT waste any more of your talent and hard work launching the next forgettable shitcoin and don't waste your incredible abilities on a project that might be worthy, but doesn't have true long term potential.  Join us and let's not just overtake bitcoin.

Let's create the new standard for all money on Earth.

I believe in you guys.  I know you'll make the right decision.  Let's make history together.

Uhhhh..  No.
