It's actually not that many weak hands from what I've seen.
To me it looks more like some big people cashing out 1k-2k coins at a time. Surely triggering other sells on the way down. But I don't see big selling from the community at all, it's only some people realizing profits. As far as I can tell, anyhow.
I think it is pretty hard to tell There must be a lot of traders actions and a lot of chinese selling; holders are obv not selling but when you see the price going down like that you think about selling some to buy more at a lower price of you think of cashing out a tiny bit in case when you are not a strong believer My suspicion is a slow steady dribble conversion into cash of the MtGox "lost funds". Whoever has those would be more interested in converting to cash than long term holding. But maybe that's wrong.

Climate deniers are annoying to listen (or read) basically because the stream is moving the other way, but it's surprisingly dictator'ing to censor people based on their opinion if they haven't broken the rules of civilized conversation.
I don't actually quite know what that (bolded) means. For example, a social get together in Los Angeles, the denier voicing his opinion that the recent mudslides were obviously not caused by man made AGW would be verboten.

They also thought the sun revolved around the earth
An interesting exercise is to consider transformations between coordinate systems. Of course there are some in which the sun revolves around the earth. Everything in the universe is moving relative to every other thing. Clearly an irrefutable point of view exists that from a particular coordinate system, the universe revolves around the Earth. The correct rebuttal to this is to note the offsetting effect of centrifugal force of the Earth spinning to the force of gravity. But we don't understand gravity.

....The truth may lay somewhat in the middle....
Hell no. It is the case that we are seeing a ratcheting up of the more extreme claims, the least provable ones, and those which are most usable for making emotional claims - these are the claims of extreme weather of one sort or another. And we're seeing the association made with virtually every extreme weather event. If it is reported on the media systems, it's associated with the "climate change" meme. Orchestrated?

.....I had actually not thought that deeply about this until I saw this stupid article, these people are fucking insane.
yeah, but consider this....after the stupid headline... "Cow farts cause global warming..." Next thing is the "FIX" through TAXING IT. That's what it's always about.

If its true that real pro hitmans are able to kill people so that there is no doubt that it was a suicide... i would think that these jobs are rather dangerous. I really dont see a reason to kill yourself in such a position. I mean you will always find a new job, you wont be responsible for your failures and so on.
And with a nail gun? What CEO knows how strong such thing is? Can he be sure that it goes through the bone? And im not sure if i would willing to try it since i would fear that its not enough to die having a nail in the brain.
Hell, this guy got nailed good. Maybe nailed himself to the ceiling?

Man-made climate change happens. Man-made climate change kills a lot of people. It’s going to kill a lot more. We have laws on the books to punish anyone whose lies contribute to people’s deaths. It’s time to punish the climate-change liars. This is an argument that’s just being discussed seriously in some circles. It was laid out earlier this month, with all the appropriate caveats, by Lawrence Torcello, a philosophy professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology. There is a clear precedent, Torcello says, in L’Aquila, Italy, where six seismologists were convicted of manslaughter in connection with a 2009 earthquake that killed 309 people. The scientists weren’t convicted because they failed to predict an earthquake; no one can make such a prediction with reliable precision. But they were convened to study a series of tremors the week before the quake, and tacitly signed off on a government official’s public message that “the situation looks favorable” and residents should chill out with some wine. http://gawker.com/arrest-climate-change-deniers-1553719888?utm_campaign=socialflow_gawker_twitter&utm_source=gawker_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow....that might have some merit. Arresting and convicting scientists who just agreed with some politician instead of doing due diligence. ARREST THE WARMIES!

A week or so ago I had a very spiritual experience. I was meditating on a positive feedback loop and hoping to experience egodeath like I did at the beach in 2012. While I didn't experience nirvana, complete white light/love, I did experience something quite magical.....Is anyone ready for a music festival?
I have defied seeing the movie, Gravity.

Presuming a society has taxes (safe bet there,) some taxes could be considered more intrusive, less efficient, or generally worse than other taxes.
Which taxes do you feel are the least bad?
Bonus points for explaining why; double points for also pointing out the especially egregious taxes, and explaining why.
You missed the tax which is the least bad. It is of course the tax that you levy on others and pay yourself with. In fact you don't even see such a tax, because you pay your fair share of tax with other peoples' taxes. From this perspective, all taxes are good, as they all provide you with tax free money in large amounts, and who would not like some of the good stuff?

I'm not totally sure, but I guess most people buying suntan lotion are white. Maybe the cosmetic firms which produce them are racist, too.
The black kings and emperors of Africa never freed their slaves. The White President of the US, Lincoln, did.

It looks like the National Science Foundation has been handing out grants for some unorthodox research projects, according to House Republicans.
This includes $700,000 in funding for a climate change musical......
This is very, very wrong. That money would have bought a lot....of beer....

And what is the other thread here that is interesting? Why do we hate environmentalists? LOL...

I sort of doubt Soros would be anti-Bitcoin, considering how much anti-communist, anti-Totalitarian, and anti-shitty-government currency he is. My guess is he would still be undecided about it at this point. Soros is not quite the boogie man the far right media paints him to be.
He is definitely anti-not-my-kind-of-communism, anti-not-my-kind-of-totalitarianism and so forth. Obviously, he has worked with Obama to instigate totalitarian control systems in the USA. He has always worked to subvert the US Constitution and has not a bit of respect for it. Source? From what I read about him, his actions, and the way things were reported about him, I got the sense that he viewed the Republican right as control-your-life corporatist big government crony types, and supported the more liberal side. I agreed with him: of the two sides, Republicans and Democrats, the Republicans have seemed way more imperialist, totalitarian, and downright crazy over the last decade. Moreso than democrats. And since he was supporting democrats and opposint republicans, the far right media painted him as some crazy socialist, communist, antibusiness boogieman type, despite him putting a ton of effort into undermining communist and totalitarian regimes. I always thought it was rather funny and ironic that Fox News pundits called him an Obama supporting communist, considering how much effort and finance he contributed to the downfall of USSR, and how anticommunist he is. What you've typed above is in no way descriptive of Soros's career. What I have bolded above in your post is ridiculous. What you've spun off my comments is inaccurate. See my bolded statement.

IPCC runs from claims that global warming will cause mass extinctionsRead more: http://dailycaller.com/2014/03/24/ipcc-runs-from-claims-that-global-warming-will-cause-mass-extinctions/#ixzz2x5B1RngyThe United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is distancing itself from past claims that global warming could cause mass extinctions. A leaked IPCC draft report says that there is “very little confidence that the models currently predict accurately the risk of extinction.” The leaked report, obtained by Germany’s Der Spiegel newspaper, says that an “acute lack of data” have added to doubts over past claims made by climate scientists of mass extinctions in the future. biological findings have increased doubt over the expected species extinction,” says the IPCC. In its 2007 climate assessment, the IPCC said that there was a “medium confidence” that 20 to 30 percent of plant and animal species were at risk of going extinct if global temperatures rose between 1.5 and 2.5 degrees Celsius this century. If temperatures rose by 3.5 degrees Celsius the IPCC predicted “significant extinctions” would occur — between 40 and 70 percent of species. Environmental groups have also warned of mass extinctions due to global warming. The Nature Conservancy says that “one-fourth of Earth’s species will be headed for extinction by 2050 if the warming trend continues at its current rate.” The group adds that “polar bears may be gone from the planet in as little as 100 years and that several “U.S. states may even lose their official birds as they head for cooler climates — including the Baltimore oriole of Maryland, black-capped chickadee of Massachusetts, and the American goldfinch of Iowa.” http://dailycaller.com/2014/03/24/ipcc-runs-from-claims-that-global-warming-will-cause-mass-extinctions/ It'd definitely be good if we insured there were no new species come in and take over and flourish while old species died. Wait....none of us would be around then...

That's because environmentalists and feminists (and vegetarians) tend to be over-bearing, hypocritical, and unwilling to take criticism. Mind you, not all of them are like that, I've met many vegetarians and environmentalists in my life that were calm intellectual people that I genuinely liked. I've never actually met a likeable feminist (although i'm sure they exist). Another study, featuring 17 male and 45 female undergraduates, confirmed the pervasiveness of those stereotypes.
Not much of a study I think you have a point there concerning how people self-identify. For someone to self identify as a feminist...

While I've noticed vegetarians being lumped in with the other two groups, I've not noticed any real (as in socially acceptable and intense) hostility toward them like the others.
I don't know about elsewhere, but I live in the NW U.S. and here it's pretty socially unacceptable to be vegetarian. People give them crap about it at restaurants just based on their order (even if they haven't brought up the fact that they are vegetarian). Shit, it's so socially acceptable to bash vegetarians there's even commercials that do it; usually depicting a man on a date with some psychotic girl that's flipping out b/c he ordered meat and is therefore committing 'murder'. I dated a vegan girl for a little under a year back in college, she definitely got crap for it all the time. Especially when she wouldn't order anything when people invited her out to restaurants that didn't have any vegan options. I suspect a lot of that is because most vegetarians aren't actively trying to punish other people for eating meat (or at the very least, maybe because those that do are considered animal rights activists instead.)
I don't know man, I've met some crazy over-bearing vegetarians in my time. I've even had some spend an entire meal lecturing me about what i'm eating. But you're probably right about the latter part, most of the vegetarians that do shit like that usually have some higher cause they've devoted their minds and souls to. I worked with a girl who was a vegetarian, who was very nice...opposite of your description. Then one day she came back from lunch with this dazed, happy grin....I figgured she done fallen in love or got stoned or something. Everyone noticed it. Asked her what's happened. Her grin gets bigger and in pure happiness she said... "I just had a Hamburger...."

The death toll from this weekend’s mudslide through Oso, Wash., is still climbing, with more than 100 still listed as missing. [...] One of the most well-forecast and consequential components of human-caused climate change is the tendency for rainstorms to become more intense...... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- You should never wait for the dead to be too cold to advance your agenda. So....more rain is good, right? We get better marihuana crops and they get mudslides.
