I thought it should read "The trustless machine"? There is no trust in bitcoin, as it is not needed.

It is trustless because you do not need to rely the validity of a certain transaction in a central hub but rather on a network of decentralized computers and machines.
13682  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just a thought: this is the result of the bear market for almost 2 years. on: October 31, 2015, 07:39:03 AM

DO NOTICE that the massive transaction volumes have been happening on Chinese exchanges....

People have already noticed it and thinks that it's insane to sustain that kind of volume in a week. It is fake, though the majority of the market share is still in China. Also, it is not surprising for our Chinese brothers to maintain that volume since most mining farms and free trade fee is imposed on exchanges there.
13683  Economy / Speculation / Re: 320$ , what the hell is going on ? on: October 31, 2015, 07:17:35 AM
Chinese and their capital controls. A very slippery ground to build BTC price growth on. This means this BTC price jump might just be part of a speculating trend.

The impending capital controls seemed to push Chinese to convert their devaluing yuan into bitcoin. Imagine how many people there is in China and even a hundredth of their population that convert into bitcoin would surely make an impact.
13684  Economy / Speculation / Re: to buy or not to buy on: October 31, 2015, 06:50:01 AM
People don't dare to buy when the price is going down heavily. They always think it will go lower, and then they miss out on buying at such a low price. You need to have steel balls to buy when it's dropping fast.

That's when the regrets kick in: not buying when prices are too damn cheap only to see the price skyrocket. I've been buying at the lows and selling near the top for almost a year now, only to buy back in cheaper and enlarging my long-term stash. I'm pretty good now with my hodlings and planning to hold on to them for 5 more years.

~Taps lightly on volumizer~

Is this thing on?

Most are probably sleeping or working right now. As for the rally, the Chinese seemed to take a break.
13686  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is causing the spike in Bitcoin value October 2015? on: October 31, 2015, 06:34:51 AM
There are many different reasons in My perspective.
1. Tax-free verdict.
2. The new exchange
3. Chinese hand
4. Halving in approach
5. New  powerful ASICs are now available for mining.

1. Not much have changed in EU after that ruling.
2. Gemini seems to be overhyped. Also, I don't see any correlation with the price increase to the exchange alone.
3. Very evident, look at the volume. Even though it is fake, still a large amount of money comes from China.
4. 8+ months left. Halving is too far to make such an effect in price.
5. Could be, but still depends on how the buyers are going to value bitcoin too.
13687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 31, 2015, 06:20:18 AM
Sitting at $326. Seems like not everyone is in the mood to be bullish today.
13688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: October 31, 2015, 06:16:23 AM
Heres my guide and im always doing it...
1 is join in any signiture campaign
2 joining in captcha data entry work by letyouearn
3 Make your own website faucet rotator with your referal links and few ads... ( this is a passive income for the future.)
4 offering your skill in services section of you are a better skill like making a website you can offer your skill in services section...

Thats it...

If you can crunch that much time in a day to work for all of it then go and do all of it. It's better doing all those things than doing nothing and yet expecting to earn. :v
13689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: October 31, 2015, 06:07:36 AM
Well, they don't need to convert their bitcoin to fiat
There's Bitcoin Debit card already Wink
They can spend their money with bitcoin without need to convert their money to fiat first

The problem is they are not looking into this thoroughly as they are scared of the fees they incur on getting a debit card. The possibilities are very limited right now with only bitcoins, but with the help of debit cards, things just got a little easier for almost everybody to spend their bitcoins.
13690  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $350 during november? on: October 31, 2015, 06:03:17 AM
I think bitcoin will be $380+ by the end of november seeing the current trends.
It might even cross $500 by the end of december Cheesy

$500 is such a small target for this price pump though it is a realistic target. As I see it, it can push further up to $600 by the end of this year and continue increasing up until the halving.
13691  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is buying/selling Bitcoin so difficult? on: October 31, 2015, 05:56:56 AM
Not familiar in Colombia. Have you tried localbitcoins? Russia too, don't have exchanges but localbitcoins seemed to fulfill the job of buying/selling bitcoins there.
13692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: October 31, 2015, 05:50:15 AM
I frequently use my bitcoin on online shopping and money transfer.
It is so easy to transfer a money via online and you can also shop anytime using your bitcoin.

May I know what online shops you have in mind? I'm looking of more and more places to spend my bitcoins to.
13693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: October 31, 2015, 05:44:43 AM
Yes. Most of us wants the higher price of bitcoin.
That's why most of the bit-coiners hold their bitcoin because they are waiting for more increase price.
And when the price is right everyone would dump their Bitcoins
And then boom, a massive price drops happen Grin

It's natural and it's a part of the cycle. Unless people would realize that they don't need to convert to fiat before they can find bitcoin useful.
13694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This saturday, the BITFILM FESTIVAL 2015, will screen some great Bitcoin films on: October 31, 2015, 05:41:20 AM
Already watched the Finding Satoshi Nakamoto short film and it's pretty amazing. The ending is somewhat a cliffhanger and there are some confusing details but overall, it's a good film. I'll try to watch the other films and cast my votes asap. Thanks for sharing this one. Smiley
13695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Theory : China began using wash trading to hide large buyers entering the market on: October 31, 2015, 04:15:06 AM
I'm not sure whether there might be manipulation going on but it looks like this time round the price has been pretty steady on the uptrend. For now I expect price to be moving further upwards and we should have a clearer indication perhaps in few weeks time. Just like in the past experience, whatever signs it may be showing, I would just remain cautious.

Russia seems to be buying in this run too, so I don't think that this is just pure manipulation at play. Different parts of the world seemed to be putting their money for fuel in this rocket ship. It will be very nice to see where this will lead us. Smiley

13697  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cost avg $580/BTC.... will i make it? on: October 31, 2015, 03:53:27 AM
Probably another 6 months.

Will u bee my girlfriend  Grin

You can plus with some profit if the trend continues up until the halving. Bump this thread when you make it. Smiley

I will, let's hope that day come... I did want to make a decent profit though, but after losing 12 BTC thru gambling I'm happy I was able to crawl back to a reasonable cost avg

Good to hear that you managed to get back on your feet after you lost on gambling. Just hodl what's left on your stash and see how it will make money for you. Everything is bullish right now and I don't see any reason why you won't achieve that price.k
13698  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 31, 2015, 03:47:37 AM
Seems like buying is synchronous now from all parts of the world. Roll Eyes

That is indeed frightening.

Happy Halloween everyone!

My guess was right all along: this years Halloween wouldn't be so spooky at all! Grin

so when does this shiz go exponential?
in ~ 6 months

we'll be trading in the 300's for a while, accumulating all the bears and the dumb fucks coins then we start to really move up!

Are you sure?

Woah woah, didn't Russia ban bitcoin? Huh Why the hell is the volume in lbc that high?

ya i was thinking the same thing,
i think they face years in jail for playing with crypto
maybe the rich Russians are above there retarded laws.

When something is forbidden, it makes it more desirable.

I agree on that part. the Russians are also crazy pulling this off seeing that buying bitcoins means jailtime for them. Seems like buying is synchronous now from all parts of the world. Roll Eyes
