Now how the hell did I leave off an S when I was copy&pasting? At any rate, I would have had the same thing if I did the search correctly.

Anybody in for a road trip to Plano, TX?

Setup a bitcoin meetup in plano  Cheesy

Or contact his ex-schoolmates: http://www.midlandisd.net/Page/11090

That makes him about 30-years-old.

You've lost me Phin.  We already know that Zach Nakasa is one of the active officers of GPUMax, we didn't need the Twitter posts to establish that - it's part of the public record.

Exactly, for I was the one who first bought light to him. Since he's the closest to Pirate that we can get at the moment, I felt it important to see if we can nail down this guys location.

From http://edge.dev.box.sk/newsread.php?newsid=275 we learn that he does have control of nakasa.com

Seed stage investing sits between angels (who tend to commit $10k to $100k per company) and traditional venture capital ($3-$5M Series A investing along with the occasional Series B-D round).

Head on over to the above to read more, but back to Nakaska's Twitter account. I touched on this before, but possibly effed-up with that AMD stuff. Once again, I bring to your attention Intellinerds, but this time I followed the links (plural).

I'm all for it, and with that said, why the hell haven't you started it yet, or are you waiting on me to do it because, quite frankly, I think it's a keen idea since I live in Sandwich, Illinois, and would love a bacon sandwich right about now?
13728  Other / Off-topic / Re: Zhou Tong sitings on: September 01, 2012, 11:26:20 PM
Funny you should pen the word bud. I have a Twitter account and own the domain for a Budweiser campaign I've been working on for the past couple years, and I bet nobody here will be able to find it. To make this bet interesting, if you find either the Twitter account or (not and) the domain name, I will give the finder both accounts. This is not a joke. But I am that confident that nobody will find either one. As a hint, they're even linked to each other.

~Bruno~

budcoin.com ?

It has 100% nothing to do with Bitcoin, for I started it around the time Satoshi's white paper was published, and I only learned about Bitcoin a couple days prior to joining this forum.

Another hint, and you love this one, is that nowhere will you find the words Budweiser or beer, yet it's a Budweiser campaign nonetheless.

For over two minutes, a cameraman films a white girl being raped by a black thug, and even a passerby does nothing to fend off the attacker. Caution: The girl's screams may be unbearable to some. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_qwcqXAM-w

After watching this you, too, may want to kill yourself. How the hell can this happen in a civil society? This is so ducked up!!!
Your society is not "civil".Live with it.
--------------------------------------
You really do NOT care about this poor girl at all.
What you care about is : to watch "the film".
---------------------------------------
Indeed, "humor only"  Lips sealed

The screams from that poor little white girl still echo inside my head. Is there any way we can track down that black thug?

Zhou must have made another donation to the forum - this thread has been "mothballed" and there is now no active thread on general discussion about his $500,000 theft.   Undecided

There wasn't active thread in general before I moved it either  Wink. I'm sure people will be more than happy to make a bunch of new threads when something moves forward.

I wish somebody would pay me for moving all the service related discussions, I'm gonna get carpal tunnel.

13733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally, a noble cause!: Watsi.org (a Bitcoin100 funding suggestion) on: September 01, 2012, 04:08:46 PM
How possible would it be to set up our own charity? Use the $1,000 USD worth of Bitcoin to buy a whole bunch of cheap phones that can be used there, preload them with some Bitcoin, and mail them to a village not too far from a city with some instructions. Considering how the people live there, they can probably survive for a week on a single bitcoin, and it would be pushing Bitcoin directly into Africa, without worrying about a charity taking 75% of the cut.

It's a noble idea, Rassah, but that's the best I can do on commenting on your idea. Hopefully community members will contribute their ideas on the topic.

No trust in them.

They have to prove themselves FIRST.
Like lots of other organizations have done.

Since the decoded message stems from that Hitchhiker book(s), shouldn't we be searching this forum to see who has referenced other aspects of Douglas Adams' novel(s)?

Why does it matter? I swear you guys often go on these witch hunts for no reason.

We need a reason?

Its the power of Bitcoin network.
Both Bitcoin & forum members helps to nail scammers in head.

Tell us one scammer who has been nailed so far.
Tell one scammer who hasn't nailed so far using Bitcoin.
They get caught before they can run away. That is what important than any other thing.
It makes money can be recovered by all legal & other ways.

Tom Williams.  Andre Jensen.

I'm going to have to refresh my memory about Andre Jesen, because I read something yesterday where that name came up, but I skimmed over it not thinking of its relevance.

It sounds like Pirate's plan was to take victims' Bitcoin and use it for higher than market-rate payouts at GPUMAX.  In return, he got coins which could not necessarily/easily be traced to him.  He planned to make up the difference by manipulating/playing the currency conversion market.  He planned to be a net seller on highs and then buy up more than he sold for less in USD after he crashed the exchange rate.  Unfortunately for Pirate, the market didn't go his way.  Either it outgrew his influence or people wised up, or he played it poorly and his scheme was up.  He found he wasn't able to swing the market enough to buy back the amount of Bitcoin necessary to pay his returns and has now defaulted.

Possibly, but at some point during all this, a while back I say, he was already planning on making his epic asea run. About a month prior to Defcon, he posted that you can meet him eye-to-eye, but afterwards there's yet to be anybody who claimed to have seen him. Soon after Defcon was over, parrot shit started hitting the fan.

Have you not heard of the Pattayan three-prong-attack, or considered searching this site using "three prong" (no need for quotes) as the search term?

From the desk of Pirate at 40, operator of gpumax.com and BS&T

OMG. Did he steal the desk of Tom Williams?

Time for another epic thread. I Googled a phrase (you'll see which one) to bring up the infamous letter so that I can reply to your post with humor, and found the following, which now acts as my humorous reply.

Wouldn't that depend on whether you are just swapping a whole wheel, or taking the tire off of it by hand and sticking a new one on?

Does it surprise you that it takes me under 15 minutes to rotate all 4 tires on my cars?

Do you dub such an act the quickie-four-rim-approach?
