Even with .035 per kwh these prices equate a 2 YEAR ROI!!!You'd have to be an idiot to pay these prices.

the cheapest unit is 68th with shipping it is about 1500

you may beat trump tax to usa.

68 x .08 = 5.44 a day   maybe less

free power = 275 days. i think the m20 uses 75 kwatts a day

1 cent power = 320 days
2 cent power = 380 days
3 cent power = 470 days
4 cent power = 670 days

I think that is the fastest one to roi.

they all use 75-80 kwatts a day.

so

75-80 cents power cost at 1 cent
1.50-1.60 power cost at 2 cents
2.25-2.40 power cost at 3 cents
3.00-3.20 power cost at 4 cents.

they can make money but slowly.

my farm is paid off but we are not making a lot of coin each month.
we could buy 1 a month.

but i think we will wait a bit.
13742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: COVID-19 a reason for Bitcoin adoption? on: June 25, 2020, 12:18:40 AM
I went for maybe.  Frankly BTC is shit for using as money.

DOGE is far better for everyday transactions under $100 usd. No comparison as to cost and speed of transactions.

Yeah bigger sums BTC may be okay.  But this is just an opinion.
13743  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: M21s 58th error on: June 25, 2020, 12:03:19 AM
it can do over current.  he may have the p20. which is 3300 vs 3600

devide 3300/198 = 16.6667 amps. this is technically overcurrent as the plug and the socket rate for 16 amps continuous power draw.

I have 2 m20s and 1 m21s

I set them all to low power because of this issue .

our volts drop to 177-190   and I have the p21 psu so

3600/190 = 18.9 amps and I go into protect due to over current.

but 3600/228 = 15.7 amps = under 16 amps = good.

so he may have an over current due to low volts.

I do not know which firmware he has but. he can do the low setting.

@op look carefully at this

https://imgur.com/4aQ8hOc

the bottom miner is a m21s set to low   it does 44.7th at 2457 watts. note the firmware.

if you need help upgrading to the firmware let me know.

25 Jun 2020 04:04 | Left FedEX origin facility SHENZHEN CN

May I ask did your last order get this far or did it stop 1 short of this line?

I have seen  the June 24 line and I have been looped/delayed many time after that line on my orders from 2013 to 2020

I have also seen the June 25 line and most often it moves fairly quickly if that show up.

So all told you have 10,000 english pounds on the line?
13745  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Some very 'bad' news on s19 shipments. on: June 24, 2020, 09:49:41 PM
1) the freeze is ended
2) a bribe was paid and some stuff was moved out for multiple customers.
3) unknown
4) notification of an order  collected by a courier may not mean much.

any of the above are possible.

What shipper ?

what is destination country?

Many times a number is given to a shipper and shipper reports the number but the shipper is yet to get the item.

lets say it is dhl going to usa.  I would not feel safe that it is moving until it is said to have left the country.

maybe you will be lucky my fingers are crossed for you not against you Grin
13746  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Some very 'bad' news on s19 shipments. on: June 24, 2020, 09:07:41 PM
You can send 1 email every day and ask for a refund. Be polite.

At the moment it is very simple they are having an internal struggle and are not shipping to anyone.

Maybe if you ask 1 time at about 11am China time mon to fri just maybe they will refund you.

Most likely you will have along wait and then get gear.
They may offer a coupon to make up for the delay.

I am sorry you got caught up in the delay.

Feel free to quote this reply when you send them an email.

Good luck.

13749  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: M21s 58th error on: June 24, 2020, 02:50:16 PM
you could be having a brownout due to summertime ac use in your area.

do you live in usa?

I can link a transformer for you.

what size is your circuit breaker?

20 amp

or 30 amp

I use a Norstar davr 5000 I purchased it from amazon in Jan of 2019

I reviewed it in feb 2019

it still works and is still in use.

it should be just okay for your gear.

I have a m21s. do you use whatsminer 5.0.2. to control it?

I have a thread on the whatsminer software as it is very good to monitor your gear.

my m21s is pretty power hungry.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07169Z3XX?

my review is there:

Quote
Philipma1957

"So I got this on Friday it is Sunday so 48 hours of testing so far. Plug two prong with and adapter for a USA two prong.
Inside is a large toroidal transformer. (Donut shape). My house is in USA AND I HAVE 240 volt lines installed. They can run as high as 243 - 245 volts. So I use this to keep unit at 220 volts. So I am doing 243 to 220 conversion. I will be using 1675 watts on this 24/7/365. I got the 5000 watt unit do to a large constant load.

In the manual the unit has a 22.7 amp rating for continous use. This means the circuit breaker feeding it must be 30 amps as 80% of 30 = 24amps which would mean your circuit breaker would be able to safely feed the unit 22.7 amps. Of 120 or 240 volt power.
It also means the interior wall wire needs to be 10 gauge to run 24 amps 24/7/365.

Here is my one problem with the unit and it is very important pair of safety issues. The cable supplied is a two prong with an adapter which lifts the ground. That is first safety issue. Second safety issue is the cable is 14 gauge not good enough to allow 22.7 amps continuously . I estimate that you should stay under 13amps maybe even 11 amps to be safe if you run it non-stop.

That would be 11 x 110 = 1210 watts if you are feeding 110 volts
Or 11 x 220 = 2410 watts if. You are feeding 220 volts.

On the good side. When I run my gear on this I use 1665 watts on my kill a watt meter. When I bypass this I use 1647 watts on my kill a watt meter. So this is 99%. Efficient or it costs only 1 % extra in power to,run it. My advice is don’t overload it due to a less then specked power cable. I will do more testing but I am sure that the 5000va model will be fine at 1675 watts."

that is my review from amazon.

I am running an s17pro with it since last year it is still working, but it is on a 30 amp circuit that feeds 228 volts most of the time
It does drop to 190 volts once in a while and the 2600 watt draw from the s17 pro still works okay

Ouch, it seems that the battle between Micree Zhan and Jihan Wu is getting really ugly and the customers pay the price in this particular case.  Sad

Well, at least it is easy for MicroBT and Canaan and others to improve their sales..

yeah I am looking to get some more what's miner gear.

Who are those still buying Btt accounts? What are they using it for? Bounties?

Bounties and scams.

I have been offered 0.5 btc for this account.

I would suspect the buyer would try to do escrows for a while and then get a large escrow for 5 or more btc.  Then run.

13753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can someone help confirm this? on: June 23, 2020, 04:26:10 PM

In my opinion those accelerators are not effective. They basically broadcast your transaction to more miners... but transaction broadcast is not a problem after 6 hours of broadcasting.

Your opinion is completely wrong, first check the facts and then you will see that at least in the case of ViaBTC things actually work if the set conditions are met. Over the years ViaBTC has saved me a very nice amount on fees when needed.

I didn't know about those websites, however they don't look very effective. The minimum fee to get included is ridiculously high. 100 sat/byte. I will still ignore them and keep my opinion Wink

Your transaction is confirmed by Poolin pool, so no transaction accelerator helped you in this case. If you used the ViaBTC accelerator (free), then you may have noticed that it gives you the message that you have too low a fee to take your transaction into account (only 0.00004451) and their condition is a minimum of 10 000 satoshi.
That's ViaBTC's minimum fee per KB, not in total:
you can submit any TXID of delayed transactions that at least include a fee of 0.0001BTC/KB

100 sat byte, the minimum, is a very high fee which will get confirmed in a few blocks even when network is congested. Using that "service" or not.

20 sat/byte (OP case) will still get confirmed naturally  by some random pool even when network is congested, which just happened. Looks like the benefit of using those services is minimum, if any, because any miner in include a 100sat/byte in a few blocks.

Over the years ViaBTC has saved me a very nice amount on fees when needed.

I think using 100 sat/byte is wasting money. Unless you really need to get into the next block.

I rarely use more than 10sat/byte. 90% of my transactions are 1 sat/byte, and they get confirmed within a reasonable time.

you don't understand how viabtc accelerator works.  It does not particularly care. if you do 1 sat or 100 sat it does want. the fee to be.

0.0001 or higher.  so if you have a send that has tons of bytes. and you add to over 0.0001 it works.

This occurs when you may have had 25 or more deposits in a wallet and the transaction is 1000bytes at 10 sats you cross the 0.0001 and it works great.

If the transaction has 250 bytes it won't work since you paid 0.0000250

So some mine at nicehash and  other pool they get a weekly payout of 0.0010 btc and don't move the coins from the btc addy until the years

end

it is 50 x 0.0010 btc or 0.050 btc and it is 50 x 250 =  12500 bytes.

you could pay. 5 sats = 0.00062500 btc. over the 0.0001  total fee threshold and viabtc works fine.

for free. zero problems

in fact you could pay 2 sats. and it would be 0.00025000 btc and be over the fee level for viabtc to work.

Now if you pool allows a threshold setting and you keep the coins pool side until they reach 0.01. that is the same 0.050 btc but only 5 x 250 = 1250 bytes.  you need to pay. 10 sats for a total of 0.0001250 btc   and viabtc will unstick it.

I have issues with btc payments from people when I sell gear.

The send. 1 sat on a 250 byte  could be .100 btc. and the money gets stuck. viabtc does not work. in that case. cause they paid.

0.00000250 btc which is under the 0.0001 viabtc rule.

it was for 2 at $900 each  Wink

thats what i thought - still a great deal.

This is not going anywhere.  He will most likely sell to the local person via meet up if he is legit.

@ op. if you are doing a meetup always be sure you take precautions so that you don't get your gear robbed.

@ titans00983.    if you are doing a meetup with op be sure you take precautions as a pocket full of cash  900 x 7 = 6300 usd

can be tempting.

good luck if you do a deal.

If not I am here. with the highest offer of 905 each. I can buy 1 or 2  I have decided to not get more then 2.

It is a nice knife 🔪 and I do have a small collection of shun knives 🔪.

I think the problem is not many of us know the value of it.

0.069 btc is over 600 usd !  I have zero idea of its worth I think 🤔 no one buying here has much idea of the value.

budk.com has a similar knife 🔪 made be kissing krane for $29.99 the 2020 model for usa veterans.

So the value is all in the engraving not the knife itself.

I get collectibles are weird.

I have record albums from the monkees worth 100 bucks

I have record albums from the beatles worth 5 bucks.

why the one from the monkees was in mono not stereo so very rare compared to my beatles album.

Good luck with the sale.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-ELITE-DESK-800-G1-MINI-F4L14UT-i5-Proc-8GB-Memory-NO-DRIVE-Wireless-PS/303456773762?

just add a 128 gb ssd
one is on verizon router
one is on optimum router

two full operate networks separate its

pretend router address is 192.168.0.1 on each one

I have all new gear on the optimum router

once it works for 1 month with zero virus I move to verizon router.

it is as if they are in two different homes and are full isolated from each other.  only costs 600 usd a year to do this.

back to whatsminer 5.0.2   I open the verizon link from my home in Howell to it in clifton via teamviewer i open what's miner 5.0.2 and can do up to 200( plus) what's miners I check them off and do low high or normal speed .  If I want to do only 5 of 200 on highest speed I check them go to speed control on remote and set those five instantly.  from 60 miles or 100 klicks away.

I could do this from any pc anywhere in the world.

if I just did teamviewer I could do all my gear but 1 at a time.  not all of them.

I am very likely gong to move to whatsminer's gear.  I am in NJ about 250 miles from NC I got a good repair guy there. that has a contract to do whatsminers gear.
