13761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get free listing on exchanges ? on: November 11, 2018, 08:32:35 PM
This exchange claims that they offer free listing of ERC-20 tokens so you might want to check that out.

13762  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BEST TELEGRAM SIGNAL CHANNELS on: November 11, 2018, 04:10:51 PM
If you are interested in learning how to trade and earn money with crypto it would be a better idea to read some quality books or watch some videos about trading, reading charts and understanding the way exchanges work. Dont try to trick the system and become rich over night. The groups you are asking about will not help you to earn money - you will be the one earning money for them. Think about it, if you have a bulletproof way of earning big amounts of money would you need to sell this over social media for 5-10$?
13763  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion]To draw more attention to the rules! on: November 11, 2018, 04:02:14 PM
I would suggest the following.
Once a new user registers the first thing he sees after entering his login details are the rules of the forum. I have seen that on other forums. And dont give them the option to immediately close the page by clicking accept, instead a countdown of 30 secs would be initiated and only after the time is up they would be able to click on accept and access the forum.

This should be the case every time they login to the site for as long as they are Newbies. As their rank changes to Jr. Member this would no longer be the case. It is no guarantee that they will read the rules but maybe some will.

If you want to avoid all the hassle with registering and verifying your accounts on exchanges visit some local cryptocurrency forum from your country, go to their marketplace section, find a seller, arrange a meeting over a coffee and do it face to face.

13767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you using a password manager on: November 11, 2018, 01:51:14 PM
If we dont trust exchanges with our funds or wallets that we dont have the private keys for I dont see much sense to trust a third party with the passwords we use for those exchanges and sites that are important to us. Plus password managers are hack-able and pass stealers and keyloggers can be configured to search for the files that those password managers create to store the passwords in.
Not to mention leakages or if a bad actor decided to sell millions of passwords of their clients one day.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5066009.0

Upravo to sam i mislio.

I hope this isn't off topic.

The user farm.rent (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2467998) registered his account today and made 5 posts advertising his mining farm in various local forums.

The threads in Croatian and German forums are google/automatic translations off low quality. The links to them are:

Croatian

German
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5066855.msg47764873#msg47764873

He also opened the same threads in the Italian and Russian forum but I dont understand the languages and cant comment on the quality but I doubt that they are good translations.

His 5th post is in the Bitcoin section of the forum with the same content. Advertising his ETH mining farm in the Bitcoin section of the forum.

I did some more research and this is how you should do it. This instruction is for Bitcoin Core but it should be the same for your wallet, give it a go.
Let us know if this works for you.

Run Bitcoin-Core
Select Help (to the right of Settings)
Select Debug Window
Select Console
If you encrypted your wallet, unlock it by entering walletpassphrase "YourLongPassphrase" 600 next to the > input box
Next to the > input box type importprivkey <bitcoinprivkey> (Note that the private key must not have spaces, remove them if they are included in your backup)
Example: importprivkey 5KJvsngHeMpm884wtkJNzQGaCErckhHJBGFsvd3VyK5qMZXj3hS

It is good that you can play the game without paying gas fees - will definitely help for it to become popular. From the website it seems that you only need to pay a fee if you want to take part in the jackpots but this is not a must.

https://icoshock.com/initiative-q/?fbclid=IwAR2YX_QIvLgDqR5KjnaQhbVpdicKS2wV7IOuA46upmRLCdfowAr9h05Yxv8

You are welcome jackg

You can try this for the npc server

Here is another suggestion I managed to find.

Raspbian gets the time from an NTP Server (a "time server").

Unplug your Raspberry Pi completely, pull out the network cable and start the Raspberry Pi up again. You will see that the date and time are incorrect.

If you want/need the date and time to not be reset without being plugged into the internet, you'll need a Real Time Clock (RTC) - for example, something like this - which will keep the time current, by using a battery to run a clock. This is, also, how your computer keeps the time when it is not being powered.

UPDATE Just a side note that the above RTC clock is not the only way to keep the time accurate between power losses. You could also use a GPS module and hook that up to the GPIO pins.

Accuracy It's pretty accurate, although if your clock's time is off by quite a bit. It may take up to 3 hours to correct itself, as changes from the server are applied gradually to your local clock. Network stability has the biggest impact on the accuracy, as a unpredictable network (something more wireless, like 3G) will make it very hard to be accurate. To put it simply: The accuracy is pretty good, the time difference between your computer and the actual time (from the NTP Server) is normally less than 100ms.

Maybe some of these suggestions might do the trick.

source: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25374570/how-to-update-date-and-time-of-raspberry-pi-with-out-internet

Quote
Remember that Raspberry Pi does not have real time clock. So even you are connected to internet have to set the time every time you power on or restart.

This is how it works:

Type sudo raspi-config in the Raspberry Pi command line
Internationalization options
Change Time Zone
Select geographical area
Select city or region
Reboot your pi
Next thing you can set time using this command

sudo date -s "Mon Aug  12 20:14:11 UTC 2014"
More about data and time

man date
When Pi is connected to computer should have to manually set data and time

What I did was,
1. I install meinberg ntp software application http://www.satsignal.eu/ntp/setup.html on windows 7 pc. (softros ntp server is also possible.)
2. change raspberry pi ntp.conf file (for auto update date and time)

Code:
server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx iburst
server 1.debian.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 2.debian.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 3.debian.pool.ntp.org iburst
3. If you want to make sure that date and time update at startup run this python script in rpi,

Code:
import os

try:
    client = ntplib.NTPClient()
    response = client.request('xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx', version=4)
    print "===================================="
    print "Offset : "+str(response.offset)
    print "Version : "+str(response.version)
    print "Date Time : "+str(ctime(response.tx_time))
    print "Leap : "+str(ntplib.leap_to_text(response.leap))
    print "Root Delay : "+str(response.root_delay)
    print "Ref Id : "+str(ntplib.ref_id_to_text(response.ref_id))
    os.system("sudo date -s '"+str(ctime(response.tx_time))+"'")
    print "===================================="
except:
    os.system("sudo date")
print "NTP Server Down Date Time NOT Set At The Startup"
    pass
