Injured: Denayer (ankle), Diomand (ankle), Cadevere (national team), Mendes (illness), Pintor (knee), Reine (knee), Slimani (national team), Ekambi (national team) - all Lyons. Guay (in the national team), Danilo (illness), Di Maria (illness), Diallo (in the national team), Donnarumma (illness), Draxler (illness), Kurzawa (illness), Letelier (calf injury), Messi (injury), Neymar (ankle), Hakimi (in the national team) - all PSG.

The list of players who will miss the match for various reasons is quite impressive - this gives Lyon a chance, first of all, since in the optimal line-up they have no chance against PSG. Bookmakers give a rather interesting odds for PSG's victory - 2.23, which means that they also estimate the probability of PSG winning as less than 50%. I think no matter how the match ends today we will see goals scored against each team.

Might turn out to be a lucky win in the end if PSG can turn it around at all, but I have my doubts. That's also sort of a problem to some teams if your advantage already is so big in the league table and you have other competitions in front of you that you might only give 90% in fear of injuries. It does make psychological sense, but it less attractive to watch for all the fans out there. Lyon will give their best because they still have something to win in the league, but very unlikely that PSG has anything to lose. They shouldn't be too generous though. Out of a sudden two to there injuries, then the CL games, that's when you want to be in a position in the league to really give some players a rest in the league games.

In general, the match ended as I expected, although I thought more goals would be scored. You are right about the fact that when one team is too far from the other it creates a lot of problems - a drop in interest from the fans + a drop in motivation from the team itself. PSG played a whole series of unsuccessful matches, but at the same time remains the undisputed leader, even Real in Spain has a nominal rival - Sevilla. Probably it is worth accepting that the most interesting matches for PSG this season remained in the Champions League.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pros and Cons of Gambling on: January 11, 2022, 05:49:12 PM
Everyone here plays gambling. Some win a lot of money, others lose their life saving and most of us are in no profit no loss situation. We win some and lose some and keep on enjoying the game.
Gambling does have some advantages but also it has its disadvantages. It will be better if the pros and cons of gambling be discussed extensively so people especially the newcomers know what they can expect from gambling.

I will not be original and will say that I get only advantages from gambling. I am initially ready to spend a certain amount on this entertainment and I do not go beyond the budget. Therefore, the result always satisfies me - I spend money, but in return I get emotions or an increase in pleasant emotions in the form of money from the victory of my favorite team.
I know people for whom gambling has become a problem, but I think it depends on the person and not on gambling, drinking or something else.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Teaching your kids to gamble. on: January 11, 2022, 05:42:34 PM
What is the point of teaching your child to gambling (even if it is implied that this is done with good intentions)? I have not heard that children are very interested in gambling, usually they have other interests. I remember that I began to be interested in this topic already in high school, but by that moment I no longer considered myself a child. Modern children are faced with gambling very early (loot boxes in games and other things that depend on probability), but they learn from their own experience and learn by themselves. I don't think any additional lessons are needed here.

Quote
ЩЕДРОСТЬ = ОТПРАВЛЕННЫЕ_МЕРИТЫ - ceil(ПОЛУЧЕННЫЕ_МЕРИТЫ / 2)

1387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: January 10, 2022, 05:36:33 PM
By the way, did anyone watch the World Rapid and Blitz Championship which ended at the end of December?
First, Magnus, due to additional indicators, took third place in rapid, and then, after he was very indignant about this, he showed an even worse result in the blitz - 12th place. This once again shows that it is high time to change the formula for playing the chess crown, and in fair conditions the reigning champion will feel much less comfortable than now.

Unfortunately, that is where he stands right now but you also have to consider that Magnus was also preparing for the WCC 2021 while the other players are busy preparing for rapid and blitz championships. I do think that Magnus performs exceptionally well when his back is against the wall- like he is on the verge/edge of defeat. That is what sparks his interest and competitiveness that unleashes his inner instincts more compared to preparation.

I do think that he will be getting his revenge by next year given that there is something that he has to prove. Being at the top can definitely make someone lose their motivation and the fact that Magnus was not able to snatch rapid and blitz championships this year, he will definitely be hungry for next year.

I follow many chess players (more precisely, I watch how they play on YouTube and Twitch) and I know for sure that most of them did not really prepare for this championship. Well, or we can say that they prepared for the championship every day - time control when playing on the Internet from a minute to a maximum of three.
I think the reason for Magnus's defeat lies in his age - the advantage of young chess players in small time control is growing and after a year Magnus is unlikely to have more chances.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: January 10, 2022, 05:23:25 PM
Another next big industry move besides my speculation of the possbility of incorporation of NFTs and the metaverse by the gambling services in the cryptospace is the adoption of algorithmic stablecoins as their main currency. Stablecoins like Terra’s UST.

Similar to the argument that stablecoins brought the Defi boom and NFT boom as mentioned in this article, it might also bring an opportunity for cryptogambling services to boom.

An algorithmic stablecoin is one that can keep its peg using only software and rules. If one ever works, it could scale infinitely, to whatever size an economy needs.

"To create USDC you need USD in the bank, and that works well if you're just starting out," Tan said. "What comes after, it's the right kind of monetary policy that allows stability and low volatility to allow people to trade ... if we can do that with math and we can do that with monetary policy, that's more efficient."

Without stablecoins, there would have been no decentralized finance (DeFi) booms, which means there probably would have also been no non-fungible token (NFT) boom. Stablecoins have been table stakes for what the industry has achieved so far.

Source https://www.coindesk.com/tech/2021/07/06/the-quest-for-a-truly-decentralized-stablecoin/

I have nothing against stablecoins, although they have their drawbacks, but I have great doubts about algorithmic stablecoins. I would never keep even a small amount in such coins as their very name implies their unreliability in certain situations. Maybe I am conservative in my views, but I believe that if you issue a stablecoin, then you should have 100% reserve for it. If you are issuing a stablecoin without full reservation, then simply call it a cryptocurrency or a token and not a stablecoin.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Cup of Nation Discussion Thread || Current discussion: Group Stage. on: January 10, 2022, 05:12:27 PM
So sorry for the Zimbabwean team, i didn't expect so much from them, they were so close to getting a point at least from this game. On the other hand, is this the Senegalese team that some voted to win this year's AFCON? because i doubt that they will be able to do well against a better team if they rely on penalties to win games. The tournament is just starting, lucky win for them.... However of they decide not to improve and utilize more of their opportunities in front of goal, i don't see the Senegalese team getting to the finals of this competition.

This is the group stage and everyone knows which two teams will advance to the next stage, so the games are really relaxed because of that confidence. I think Senegal will improve in every match and by the stage of the playoffs it will show a much better game than it is now.
Besides, what's the point of discussing its prospects if we haven't seen the games of competitors yet? It is quite possible that they will also show an uncertain game.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 10, 2022, 05:05:10 PM
Take it easy, Liverpool will catch up with City soon.  However they have done well to be in the top 3 position.  The difference in points with City is also still possible to beat.  Although it won't be easy either.  This pause gives time to change the direction of the game's strategy in order to become a winner.

I wonder what led you to this idea? And how can this happen soon if there are 8 points between City and Liverpool? City must lose 3 matches in a row, do you believe in this scenario?

Today a rather interesting FA Cup match between Manchester United and Aston Villa will take place. Manchester's chances of winning are high - 1.72, but everyone has already seen that this team cannot be trusted. The nuance is that in the next round these teams will meet again inside the championship, but in that match Manchester United will have to play away.

Winz.io Casino $5,500 Paint Art Competition [100 Winners, Easy to Participate]

Winz.io

Paint.

I could be wrong, but the outcome of this match looks exactly like this for me. I hope no one listens to my advice and will bet based on their research )

Yes, I bet I would also say that Sevilla wins the game.
This month of January, will allow you to better understand how the teams will be performing. Some are doing badly with Covid and things could change all of a sudden.
Hence I say that there are no guaranteed victories in football.

Either way, bets should always be placed on the basis of each person's analysis and not just the opinion of others.

The covid factor is really something that starts to piss off. In addition to the fact that forecasting now becomes only short-term due to the fact that players can suddenly get sick, the postponement of matches also destroys multi-bets. I like to place multi-bets, but now the execution time of events in a multi-bet can take a really long time. I don't have that much patience to wait.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 09, 2022, 08:17:16 PM
The most interesting match of the tour will be Roma - Juventus. Both teams lost points in the previous round and continue to balance on the verge of falling into the middle of the table. If they draw, it will be a terrible result for both clubs.

Mourinho has yet to get Roma to play to their full potential. Note that it is a team that is still in a construction phase. Maybe the next time will be better.
As for Juventus, I think it was lost with Ronaldo leaving and changing the coach. It's not such a feared team anymore, as it was 2 or 3 years ago.

Now I see this Juventus capable of beating this Roma. Even so, the game will likely end up in a draw.

Roma looked great today, but unfortunately only 70 minutes, then the whole game was lost in 10 minutes. A monstrous failure for Roma and an incredible comeback for Juventus - they haven't scored so many goals in a long time. Perhaps this will inspire the team and continue to play more confidently, however, the main competitors also won victories, so Juventus just did not let them break away even more.

PSG will play away match against Lyon today. Winning this match will be very challenging for PSG. Because their key players will not be able to perform in this match. Mainly they will form a second tier team. Messi, Di Maria and Neymar will not play. Only Mbappe and Icardi will be in the forwards. However, if Mbappe can play well, PSG will easily win against Lyon. Also Hakimi, Gueye and Ramos may not play. The outcome of today's match will depend on Mbappe's performance.

Injured: Denayer (ankle), Diomand (ankle), Cadevere (national team), Mendes (illness), Pintor (knee), Reine (knee), Slimani (national team), Ekambi (national team) - all Lyons. Guay (in the national team), Danilo (illness), Di Maria (illness), Diallo (in the national team), Donnarumma (illness), Draxler (illness), Kurzawa (illness), Letelier (calf injury), Messi (injury), Neymar (ankle), Hakimi (in the national team) - all PSG.

1397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 08, 2022, 11:32:24 AM
On this week of the league, I think that the most comfortable team are definitely Milan. They are going to be playing the first game on this week and their opponent is Venezia too. Venezia are one of the new teams of the Serie A and they are not doing very good in their first season here. Maybe they are not in the relegation area but they are near there. After defeating Roma by 3-1, Milan should be very motivated for this game. I think that they won't make a mistake and will continue to win.

Napoli also have a convenient rival - Sampdoria, which is next to Venice in the standings. Plus Napoli will play at home, so if their squad problems don't get worse they should win without a problem.
The most interesting match of the tour will be Roma - Juventus. Both teams lost points in the previous round and continue to balance on the verge of falling into the middle of the table. If they draw, it will be a terrible result for both clubs.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 08, 2022, 11:11:47 AM
Yes, you're right, but that's exactly what I wrote about. The Big Three - Real, Barcelona and Atlético - own the Spanish championship, and the last time someone outside intervened in this hegemony was about 20 years ago. And objectively speaking, the chances that someone else will intervene in the dominance of this trio in the next 20 years is very small - all three clubs have a streamlined structure, huge budgets and it is hard to believe that all three will fail at once.
And yet this can happen at any time, although of course it is difficult to disagree with your words. There is more hope not that all three hegemon clubs will fail, but rather that another new contender for the championship of a comparable level will appear. Such hegemony can be quite disastrous for competition and spectator interest in the domestic championship and for national football in general as a result, but on the other hand it is quite viable for competition at the international level and the example of Barcelona, Real Madrid and partly Atletico Madrid are an excellent illustration of this thesis. No wonder the presidents of Barcelona and Real Madrid continue to rush with the idea of creating a super league.

Better such a hegemony of three clubs than the hegemony of Bayern or Juventus (thank God this year Juventus will lose the race for the championship). But the best is the enemy of the good, so if the fourth top club appears, it will be good and in the end everyone will benefit from it. The EPL is the league with the most title contenders and the most "diverse" champions in the last 10 years and as a result it is the most profitable league in Europe.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 08, 2022, 10:59:38 AM
Bayern Munich have lost, they have lost 3 points. But has it changed their position in the points table? The answer is "NO".
I know Bayern lost, but for those who enjoyed the match, I don't think anyone would say that Bayern Munich played badly. Bayern Munich's performance has not deteriorated. We have seen similar attacking gameplay from Bayern in other matches as well. However, Bayern's misfortune did not win. Not just because of bad luck. Gladbach's goalkeeper's performance is to be commended. He has made 5 great saves in this match.

From the point of view of the tournament fight, nothing really has changed. But the fact that Borussia is so successful against Bayern this season cannot be attributed to an accident - maybe experts from other clubs will analyze these matches and find some special weaknesses in Bayern? It seems to me that this is quite probable. I think now the rivals of Bayern in the Champions League are doing just that.
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: January 08, 2022, 10:49:06 AM
Bookmakers estimate the chances of Sevilla to win in the sum of 2 matches against Dynamo as 1.26, and Dynamo's chances as 3.5. It is obvious that Sevilla is the favorite and I can even say that the bet on it looks profitable - 26 percent guaranteed profit.
Sevilla's chances of winning the Europa League are also high - they only lower to Borussia, which is considered the favorite, however, judging by the odds, several clubs can win the tournament and there is no clear favorite among them.

Saying it's a guaranteed win is always risky!

It's true that Sevilla are in a much better position to win the game. But, we are talking about football, just one bad night from Sevilla, or one very inspired night from Dynamo, and the result changes completely.

I could be wrong, but the outcome of this match looks exactly like this for me. I hope no one listens to my advice and will bet based on their research )

There is no clear favourite team for the Europa League title indeed as there are many alternatives. Sevilla, Barcelona, Napoli and Dortmund seem to be the biggest ones among them. Sevilla may not be the clear favourite but they seem to be a little more advantageous than the others I think. I claim this taking their successes into account. They are one of the most successful teams in the Europa League history. But we will see what they will do this time.

Much will depend on the motivation of the teams. Borussia will have the maximum, since Bayern is unattainable, Barcelona, like Napoli, will give all its strength to the domestic championship, I don’t know Sevilla - they have theoretical chances to fight Real.
