1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: December 16, 2023, 09:06:52 PM
This is no joke. Many people do this because they do not want to see any money in their account, something will just be pushing them to gamble, and they will not stop until they waste this money as the case may be. You might call this addiction, but I call it foolishness and a foolish person can be very surprising and will never build but destroy due to his foolishness. This is why it's the worst I see in gambling and detest those who indulge themselves in it.

Indeed these guys who fall into gambling addiction are foolish enough to not control themselves and let urge to gamble overcome them.  I believe these people are sick and need medical treatment or rehabilitation.  Once a gambler falls into an addiction, he will not have any control over their gambling activities so instead of detesting them or feel hatred or dislike, we should try to understand their situation first.  If we can offer help then lend our hand to help them to better themselves.

Detest is not the solution to interacting with gambling addicts.  We should be more open-minded to understanding gambling addict's situation.  One way or another as human beings we are not perfect and sometimes we also do foolish things...
Gambling should really be just that for fun but on the time that you are already molding up that kind of motive on which you are already that tending to be that desperate on making money
then this is where things turns out to be shit and something that would really be putting up your ass into big trouble when things starts to heat up. This is why it would really be that important
that you should really be that realistic on how you would really be that dealing up with gambling because if you are that hoping for making huge money then this is where mistakes will really be starting. Dont make yourself that greedy because this is the most common issue for most gamblers on which on the time that they do hover themselves with gambling then their first plans and limits
would really bound to be broken once those sudden changed up emotions would kick in.

Calling them foolish won't help addicted players as their situation seems self-inflicted, but to some extent, they shouldn't be blamed. Gambling addiction isn't easy to avoid, and most people fall for it due to a lack of knowledge or even a coach. Reading through many addiction cases online, you'd notice that even the best of gamblers whom people never thought would get addicted, are also victims of addiction. One may be a responsible gambler, but in his life be suffering from difficult experiences, heartbreaks, or something else that makes them feel uncomfortable. The only way of feeling relaxed could be gambling and they may not be able to control their emotions while gambling. Nothing is as painful as gambling while reminiscing on the hard experiences of life. The gambler would forget he'd be making a series of mistakes and have spent lots of time gambling.

Addiction is caused by anxiety and depression and it doesn't mean gambling offers these two problems. yet, people don't care about the root of the person's problem before blaming it on gambling. When a gambler has a bad childhood memory, which is very disturbing and hard to erase, he can get addicted. What led to his addiction, wasn't his fault. Only the therapists understand this and trace it down to the early life of that addicted person, then counsel them from there. However, gambling also contributes more to the problem because of the losses it provides to the players.

Taking loans is not for a financially stable gambler, so the gamblers in this category run out of money due to gambling and it increases their anxiety. At some point, they get to know that their problem is no longer funny, but can't resolve it. They may have in mind to cure themselves with the money, but once the money is approved the gambler would spend it on gambling. Like a story of a man who slept in his car for 3 days, because he used his gas money to gamble, including feeding money. When he called on his family for help, they sent him money, that is after spending another 4 days in his car, once the money arrived, he went immediately to the casino and wagered all of them. You'd see that it's gradually becoming to serious mental problem. Who on earth wouldn't blame such a person? Only the therapist.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers trickily claims they wins the bet while they never did. on: December 16, 2023, 08:45:59 PM
Well I don’t know about others but personally I don’t think it’s a wise idea to lie about one’s betting progress and hiding your losses is one of the easiest ways to run into addiction and trust me when we begin chasing our losses, it is always very difficult to quit and that is why is always advisable to only gamble with the amount of money we are willing to loss as nothing is actually guaranteed in gambling nothing even the winnings or losses.
When someone claims a win, I always ask to see a prove not because I don’t believe them but simply because I want to have reasons and proves to motivate to take the right
Gambling decisions.

Surprising to see that people do that in the first place to show people they're not wasting money on gambling. Winning is a must in gambling, no way a gambler wouldn't win at some point. The house already has an edge where they make out a certain amount of money for each gambler to win. Meaning that for any amount we wager, the house has their percentage and the gambler also does. Hence making some mistakes like this only puts the gambler in a situation of more losses. Because deep down they'll always think privately about the ill behavior they exhibit amongst friends. For instance, I'm also the type of friend who wouldn't care about whether a gambler is lying or framing his winnings, all is needed is to see the actual proof. He'd have to spend some money from his winnings in celebration of his lucky day. Is it not a double loss for the gambler that fakes his results all the time? And because of the proof, most gamblers I've met don't open up after winning.

I think the people Op is referring to in his thread are close to toxic gambling and people now advise them to stop gambling as they don't see any positive results from their gambling. Maybe married men who want to prove to their spouse that gambling also pays. Like in some threads, where a member of this forum said, people only want to associate with a gambler who often wins his bets. The losers are seen as addicted gamblers who don't understand why they're into gambling. These notions from friends and society can lead a naive gambler to do all sorts of things to be seen as a responsible gambler. Thereby deceiving himself thinking that he's deceiving anybody. It's like being at peace with the world and at war with himself. Regret will come very late in the life of the gambler. And nobody would be there to help him if he gets addicted. Taking gambling too far from what is is, can destroy the journey of any gambler; especially new players.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Type of gambling and Intelligence on: December 16, 2023, 08:21:16 PM
Does the type of game you play at a casino or sports you bet on show an individual's level of intelligence or how smart a person is?
Blackjack, Poker, slots, roulette, baccarat, sports betting, horse racing, betting on sociopolitical events, keno, etc.

My favorite is sports betting, although I don't bet on all sports, i have a pretty good analysis of every sporting match that will occur, especially football, sometimes i also like boxing and car racing, but i focus more on analyzing football matches, even though the winning percentage i didn't pass 75%.  Focusing on the bets you are interested in can make your winning percentage higher than the percentage of losses you will receive.

Are you suggesting that the more a gambler plays a single game his intelligence increases in that specific game? If, yes, I think that's a great way to master the act of performing well in gambling, provided that the gambler isn't deeply into that game. Most football gamblers I've noticed don't analyze their games. They only want to see a high return on the slips and hope on luck that the teams they predicted to win, win. The low rollers don't understand what's in gambling other than trying to get rich quickly in gambling. When reviewing people's bets I hear them say they don't know some teams they added to their slip. Once the premier league has been added to the bets, the gambler looks for football competitions in random leagues, they've heard nothing about and gamble. That doesn't make any sense, although the staked money isn't that significant, but it's not worth the time.

Nonchalant gamblers don't increase their intelligence in gambling, including those who focus only on football games. So, predicting the right games with a significant amount of money can be rewarding if the player invests time in learning methods of game analysis. One reason we see gamblers who don't advance positively in gambling is the love for winning jackpots with smaller money. Looking into slots, for example, the results are quite different for consistent slot players. Because of the uniqueness of the house edge, at most we earn more observing the results of the machine. Black roulette games also prove that being interested in analyzing the results of any game, gamblers can see good results compared to losses. Thereby enjoying their gambling moments. Sometimes in Black roulette, I'd predict accurately the actual number where the ball would stop, which gives me some assurance of being an observant gambler. Though it's rare, with consistent observation gamblers can always dodge too many losses.

1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What according to you should be the age to retire from gambling ? on: December 16, 2023, 07:59:10 PM
Does people retire in gambling? Gambling is an activity of choice and we can gamble even when we have retired from our workplace. Gambling is not like our normal jobs that we are going from Monday to Friday and retires when we have worked for about 30 to 40 years. Gambling is completely different from those kind of jobs or activities so I don't expect us to come here and be agitating about getting retired. Retirement is out of gambling, even people that are old are betting everyday without anything like retirement. We can bet and play games anytime we like and that does not need anything like retirement because we are not working for anybody.
That is a big question,  do people retire in gambling,  don't think so, those that gamble for the fun and entertainment will fine a way to do it at all ages long and as long as they can relate their gambling habits to recreational and at the same time staking it will be fun all the way through for them,  many time old age gives you the time to gamble more and at some point, I am forced to even believe that gambling should be done more by older people than you g people.

Because when one retires from active service there is a need to know what to do to keep body and soul together and to prevent sliding into any form of depression.

Gambling helps old people keep their brains busy, relax, and remain active. Staying without engaging in any activity like gambling can leave the old person lonely. Especially for those who gambled as young men. However, they must gamble at minimal time, due to sicknesses like arthritis, which may have been caused by their days of work. But, if a man is strong enough to keep up with the mental problems gambling can cause then it's not an issue to continue gambling without retiring. However, I'd say that at 70-80 years of age, humans are expected to rest from stressful activities. Gambling is stressful in the sense that he'd think of his money lost in gambling, he'd also have to make plans for his next gambling session. Factors required to stay relevant in gambling create stress to the gambler in that age bracket may not be able to maintain such troubles. And at that age he's also in need of managing his money.

Whether rich or poor, old age is a tough time, only a few people are sound and healthy at 80 years. Additionally, the sight blurs too, and online casinos wouldn't be recommended anymore to them. The same applies to offline casinos they won't be able to visit consistently to those places every day. Gamblers who are sound in their 50s and 60s are encouraged to continue gambling, provided they won't waste money meant for their retirement plan. Life after retirement in business is not simple and retirees are of the need to stay on funds. To many gambling won't be an option anymore, because of the risk of losing out. They wouldn't want to take the risk. Young people can easily correct their mistakes, but an aged gambler wouldn't have the luxury of doing other businesses to recover from his losses. Hence, while they gamble it shouldn't be a day-to-day activity to help them stay rolling financially in other lifestyles.
1385  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: December 16, 2023, 07:25:21 PM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.

An interesting observation, but you need to clarify how your observations took place. Did the people you are talking about have the same conditions? What type of gambling was there, at what time, on what day and many other variables.
I think the point is that a rich person has a more free attitude towards money and is not afraid of losing it, therefore he makes decisions more freely, while a poor person is more pressured by responsibility

The gambling decision of a rich man isn't different from anyone else. What we need as gamblers is executing planned techniques. And these action isn't personal to only the rich players. The low rollers still have opportunities to learn ways of making profits in gambling using their strategies. High-rollers who don't plan well can also lose money in gambling. Money management can be perfected by any type of gambler. It only requires some self-control to limit excessive spending in gambling. Pressure, yes, affects the low rollers who are afraid of losing out hard-earned money in gambling. Resulting in careless predictions and losses. Unlike the low roller, the rich gamblers who have self-control and can ease their mind, have a higher advantage in gambling decisions. Gambling out of fear and hastiness only leads to losses and players who do this, often lose control oftentimes and spend time looking for ways to free themselves from the mistake.

If a rich gambler isn't inclined enough about what Adultcrypto thinks of them, he'll be a victim of such mistakes. And he'd also lose out like anybody else. The high rollers who win big follow gambling ethics and the same applies to low rollers who win their predictions. Differences can only be detected in the amount won, as the high roller will get more than a low roller, but the happiness goes to both parties. Which remains the main fun of winning in gambling. So, in clarifying his observations, I'd use celebrities who have published their gambling results online or those I've read about their gambling behavior. The risk is quite high on them, due to the figures they wager, but the winning is worth the risk. Especially those who bet on football or poker games. The advantage of being a rich gambler is doing the right thing in gambling. Other than that, it's unfair for a rich gambler not to know much about gambling. His money will be wasted at the cost of chasing for a win. And if care is not taken he'd run broke. I'd suggest, to enjoy the fun, that a rich gambler should also be a good and smart gambler.
1386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: December 16, 2023, 06:48:24 PM
Successful gamblers are never addicted to gambling because they are always patient and keep gambling patiently without panicking and do not gamble for a long time together, gamble with a break and cool and withdraw immediately if they get a big win. Because they know very well that if they keep gambling like that, they will eventually lose them all. And panic gamblers always want to get rich quickly, which is why they quickly exhaust their gambling budget by placing high-amount single bets and re-deposit.  In this way they suffer huge losses financially and they can never be successful
What good praises for successful gamblers! But you are indeed wrong, successful gamblers are the most addicted if you must know, but the only difference is that since they are making money from it, they don't care about the addiction and will even love to do it more. And guess what? People will also encourage them to gamble since it's not negative for them. Money-making avenue will always be an excellent avenue for everyone, it's only when you are investing your money but you are losing that caution would be exercised by you, if wise, or people advising you in this regard. This one again reveals that losers are the ones that people get to focus their beam at and to talk down on and say all sorts of bad remarks about, simply because they do not show any good result for what they are doing. This is unlike the winners, just like you are praising them now, they show good results for it to the point that you do not see the addiction therein. We often overlook the things we do that give money since it cannot affect our life negatively even if we are addicted to them, but can't still stop us from relating it to addiction even if it's positive. Everyone however wants a positive addiction, after all, they have nothing to lose doing it.

Gambling success depends on so many factors which isn't concerned with the way you describe the winners, Victor. Being a successful gambler doesn't mean the player has to win every single moment he gambles. Most time they still lose money, but have a way of dealing with risks. When a gambler is successful he has nothing to do with addiction. If he gets addicted then he is not successful in gambling. Those who appear as successful gamblers like in any other department, are the gamblers who issue advice on gambling addiction and also lecture other gamblers on different strategies needed to bypass too many risk factors in gambling. They're mostly authors and also go on tour with some TV shows that ask them gambling questions. Most of them are famous for winning at a certain time big prizes through gambling.

Coming to the idea that follows your response, it's wrong to think that every loser is addicted to gambling, the same way the winners are. Any gambler in both categories, addicted or not, still has a chance of winning. Indeed nobody wants a loser, but winners who are addicted will have no reason to be successful in gambling because it has to do with mental problems. Whenever a person is mentally ill, is worse than physically illness. Don't misplace consistent gambling as an addiction. They're both different things, visiting a specific place every day maybe your workplace doesn't mean you can't do without visiting that place. Most people you see win money through gambling, fine will want to be consistent, but someday they go on a gambling vacation. Where they'll never have a reason to gambler for some months. Addicted players can't do it, as their brain has been disordered and only knows gambling. Which draws a line of difference between a successful gambler and an addicted one.
1387  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: December 15, 2023, 07:54:11 PM
Gambling may look like fun for the rich, but there are big risks. Their big bets increase wins and losses. A double-edged sword. Remember that gambling's hazards are the same regardless of bankroll size. Wealth does not guarantee gambling immunity, a harmful myth. Jackpot winners risk relapsing into previous behaviors. Their narrative warns that even the wealthy can fall if they are irresponsible.

That's why it would be more harmful if a rich man suddenly gets addicted to gambling, we've heard about millionaires going bankrupt and loosing everything they've worked so hard for just because of their gambling addiction, if a poor man looses all his fortune due to gambling, it wouldn't be as depressing as when a rich man does because the poor barely has enough but the rich has more than enough to loose. No wonder we rarely hear about rich people who are addicted to gambling.

Many rich CEOs and top managers in different US companies work hard not to be victims of gambling addiction. Gambling precautions are all about sticking to the information we've read and the experience we had in gambling. The rich didn't become rich via gambling, and rarely would they allow themselves to get poor through gambling. But as Slapper said, it doesn't have any boundaries, anybody can be a victim of problem gambling. The case is unique according to our status. Think of it, many people are in the life of a rich man; managers, doctors, employees etc. These people also contribute to questioning the lifestyle of the rich person and he wouldn't be a gambler without the consent of those people in his life.

Most of them go to casinos with their financial managers, even the lawyers are sometimes aware of their boss being a gambler. These things matter in restricting him from getting addicted. As he'd be getting notifications from all angles whenever he begins to make mistakes in gambling. Then he'll start correcting them in the early stage of his addiction. However, not all rich men have this status, some are only rich and have no human resources to advise them on their gambling activities. This type of rich man can easily lose out lots of money in gambling. However, the stories of gambling CEOs can be inspiring as most of them made huge profits through gambling and used it to finance their business. It all boils down to the strategy and managerial skills of the said CEO. It's safer to have people around who are aware that we gamble to help us battle addiction.

Unlike the rich, low rollers battle alone when faced with problem gambling, they have all odds against them, and they won't be able to win the fight. Comparing the jackpot winner's losing syndrome to that of a rich gambler still has some arguments attached to it, as the rich player has other sources of income to sustain him when down with funds due to addiction. His main problem would be mental health problems. Because while his money goes low, his financial manager or accountant would take fast moves to limit his expenses in the bank. Hence his account may be blocked declining his transactions for a certain duration until he's good again to run his company. But before we get things right, it's always great to know that it depends on the rich man's status.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers trickily claims they wins the bet while they never did. on: December 15, 2023, 07:24:26 PM
Deceiving oneself is the worst part of deceit. Saying lies to others just to standout as a prominent gambler while suffering losses won't help the gambler. Inexperienced gamblers would prefer telling lies and covering up with personal money when asked by friends to prove they won the game. Lying to ourselves means not taking responsibility, it'll cost the gambler double of his losses. He'll spend in the casino and also use extra of his savings to show as proof of winning. Acting in a childish way as a gambler would endanger the gambling experience of the player. Unless his friends or family don't care about his winnings, he'd be safe to say those lies. Other than that, our friends expect us to spend with them when we win gambling, or else they won't believe it. Being truthful to ourselves as gamblers also helps us grow and take remorse for making some gambling-related mistakes. I'm not used to seeing such gamblers but only testify of gamblers who don't complain about winning.

They only complain to friends when experiencing losses. Whenever their game gets positive, the gambler would hide it from his friends and eat his profits alone. Only a few genuine gamblers open up after winning a significant amount. Not sure whether they made it up or lied. However, it's another reason why people should join gambling not because of the winning outcomes of their close friends, but their personal decision. It's similar to the results of streamers that seem like lies to most gamblers, yet it has moved lots of naive people to venture into gambling without prior research and end up regretting their actions. So, with Op's discussion, not minding whether the player is telling the truth or lying, the recipient should always do their research. Otherwise, they'll also be in a similar condition, where telling lies to friends to prove a point thrives. I've only noticed a few gamblers who open up after winning in gambling. Surprised to have read gamblers lying to proof a point.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you make gambling a profession - a full time job on: December 15, 2023, 06:06:13 PM
Working as a casino dealer is another option Tongue

In other words, the only guaranteed method to make money from a gambling outlet is to be a part of the casino. Previously I told about investing in the casino's bankroll, but there is also the option of being a worker in the casino. Its an office job and not related to gambling directly.

Be the casino and you will get a good earning, but most of us can only dream of being one. Grin

Becoming a casino, in your context, requires lots of money to begin with, and not all gamblers have the luxury of getting trusted by investors who would want to invest in their new business idea. Hence, as a gambler who wants to make gambling a profession, it's crucial to think of ways to provide services that gamblers would need. Selling of sports predictions is quite getting huge traction in the internet market, gamblers patronize the sellers and prefer relying on them for all gaming analysis. The same applies to other methods of earning money through gambling, like affiliate programs and marketing. Moving into the topic, gambling as a profession requires lots of calculation and determination. Not everyone who has done it was able to succeed. Gamblers who move forward with their gambling venture still get bored in the process. Imagine spending all day gambling; offline or online.

Working hours building strategies that work and implementing them on different house edges, requires dedication. In offline gambling, staying alone gambling in a hotel, is strenuous. Limited time with loved ones and associating with other social activities, is not worth the stress. Other than that, gambling as a profession is dependent on the amount of money the player is ready to gamble with. After calculating the house edge the player should be able to know the amount of money that'll carry him through his career. Match it with the wins available for him and then play games forever, without running out of money. These also require the daily gambling amount and time to spend each day. The player can choose to gamble 5 hours in the morning and the evening. Provided he's a member of a comp club, he won't spend too much on hotel bills and food. He'll have enough points to cover those bills, he'll only have to bother about his invested money. Using a well-calculated strategy he won't run out of money ever, in the offline casino setting. But, doing similar things online wouldn't be possible. The focus will be divided compared to an offline casino professional player.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Type of gambling and Intelligence on: December 15, 2023, 05:26:18 PM
No one is stupid, there are also people who are lazy and people want to try. and the type of gambling they choose and what they play, it will show whether someone is lazy enough or not. and gamblers who are lazy enough to try to increase their chances of winning in their gambling activities, they will choose the gambling that is easiest to play, without going through any calculations or analysis. And that type of gambling is slots. Because slots are the easiest type of gambling game to play, but unfortunately the chances of winning are very small.

Meanwhile, for someone who is willing to try, they will choose a type of gambling that can give them a higher chance of winning, even though to get this win they have to carry out quite a complicated process, such as doing match analysis.

That's just a basic perspective, because someone is lazy and careless, they will try all kinds of gambling. However, when they do calculations or carry out analysis, they do it carelessly.

Analyzing games out of laziness wouldn't be effective and it signifies the player doesn't have the intellectual capacity to consecutively win games. Lazy gamblers have less knowledge of gambling compared to other responsible gamblers, and a good number of lazy gamblers end up becoming too attached to gambling. A slot game is preferable for this type of gambler as no skill is required to play the game, however with attentive observations, the player can be a bit ahead of the house, but lazy players will stay behind, therefore having losses. Initially, they want to invest little time analyzing games to get the fun immediately, but with loads of losses, the gambler ends up feeling sad. But, if they are careless about the results; win or lose. No problem. Slot games can be enjoyable for such a player who plays with no strategy and only wants to feel the video game thrills. Being able to control his emotions and manage his funds, are the only requirements such a player needs to continue staying responsible as a lazy gambler.

But, with the few precautions he's got in mind for staying money-conscious regardless of his laziness in being observant in building winning strategies, he can be considered an intelligent gambler. Who isn't concerned about the wins? The scenario can only get worse if the player is careless about managing his funds or limiting his gambling time duration. He'll only face more difficulty in gambling and spend time struggling to understand why he's losing too much time and also in another gambling condition; addiction. The intellectual aspect of gambling is very crucial in saving newbies and professionals from multiple mistakes. That doesn't mean the players, lazy or hardworking, wouldn't win at the time of gambling. The clear difference is that lazy gamblers with no courage to follow a gambling strategy don't know how to manage the won money. They lose control and wager it all without taking a single profit. That means all their money both wagered and won goes back to the house.
1391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Type of gambling and Intelligence on: December 15, 2023, 09:50:38 AM
A gambler's intellectual power can be determined through his winnings in gambling. In the above-listed games, mathematicians can predict games correctly and get more wins. As the odds behind the scenes are also calculated with mathematical formulas. The difference is that anybody can gamble and win, despite having zero knowledge about gambling. In this case, their instincts are questioned to be extraordinary. However, since consistently winning in gambling isn't a simple task and those who win always feel a bit more intelligent than the losers, it's safe to say, to win, gamblers need to be intelligent. Aside from academic intelligence, gambling requires strategies regardless of our level of education. Professional gamblers who have been gambling for significant years will still have a great knowledge of what works or doesn't in gambling. Using these factors winning gambler has some intellectual advantage in gambling, that helps them stay ahead of the house.

Although, it should be known that gamblers will lose out. Hence they need to apply precautions even with their high intellectual ability, or else they can still make mistakes. Looking at the aspect of irresponsible gamblers, you'd notice that they have lesser gambling-related knowledge. A high number of addicted gamblers spend time gambling without being observant or paying attention to the way the machine works. Following the few gambling ethics and strategy still requires intelligence. Not getting addicted, limiting the amount of money we wager, understanding gambling is for fun, and critical thinking are all characteristics of being an intelligent gambler. So, the importance of gambling is being calculative and observant so as not to make heartbreaking mistakes. The addict could be highly intellectual in other fields of life but somehow wasn't educated in the gambling niche. Therefore, they lose more and can't help but continue to lose a big amount of money in gambling.
1392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Target your wins in a series of bets on: December 15, 2023, 09:10:12 AM
One way of approach is to focus on winning certain number of bets in a series of bets. For instance, you can target to win at least 4 bets in a series of 10 bets with the odds being at least 5 odds. This way, you can lose 6 times and win 4 times yet you still remain highly profitable.

This is my approach and through it, I don't get depress over few loses. This method works for me and I feel it will also work for others. Your opinion are highly welcomed.
That probably be possible but you wouldn't know the outcome if you'll really hit that bet, that will totally depends on the odds/multiplier that you use in the end that matters. Well, a balanced mindset of the player will matter here too because you probably overlook the series of bets here if you already got 7 streak loss and you want to fullfil that 4 bets of winning. It's a matter of discipline.

Discipline only comes into play when the player is focused on stopping his gambling session after staking 10 games. Which is also a great strategy for any gambler who wants to manage his money. Risking our money with the strategy that promises 4 wins after playing 10 is not realistic. More like hoping that after 10 games the player is sure of winning 4 times. This mindset will easily get broken and the player loses control after 10 plays with no significant win, up to 4 times. He'd want to try until he hits at least 8 wins after playing 20 games. Believing maybe that luck wasn't on his side. Strategies like this don't fit right for any type of gambling, but sporting games are quite preferable for it. Using it on the slot will only cause the player to lose more and get disappointed for not winning the same way as OP promised. However, the goal is to remain as cautious as possible and these strategies most often fail the gambler.

A few losses don't get the OP depressed meaning he doesn't wager huge amounts. A nonobservant gambler who didn't go through Op's statements will try to win a huge amount by staking a significant amount, trusting that the strategy will get him 4 wins. So, Op's statement carries no power, and the strategy is just like telling people to play 15 games that the possibility of winning 6 times is 1. Visit a gambling house where people book football games and you'll notice that most gamblers stake money on every possible odd in a match and end up losing. The printouts are always too many that the player would feel sure of winning at least one game. But to his greatest surprise, none would yield him a win. I only prefer gambling technique that helps save money, not the ones that guarantee a win. In gambling winning is not guaranteed. We are only sure of losing money.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The need for mental section or public orientation for new gamblers. on: December 15, 2023, 08:18:58 AM
so I'm thinking if it would be possible for a thread or sub board to be created in the form of a mental  orientation section that people can just visit and go through ethics of responsible gambling, share experiences and current challenges faced as a gambler. It could just be used for discussions regarding responsible gambling and do if ones goes through the board or thread, while starting or going about his gambling, their will be check in his jar it as a result of peoples lives experiences he has read.

How many number of gamblers come to this forum day by day I mean not already existing members of the forum but those who just come in here as a result of them wanting to start gambling, you will see that the number is less which means even if such orientation is to be set we only don’t such active here but gambling sites or government of some countries should make it necessary to educate the youth about the danger of gambling addiction if possible they can be sharing flyers and banner with detail information about testimonies from experience gamblers so that they can learn from there.

Ads on gambling sites and casino regarding such could also be very helpful as they can just pop up on users face when ever they want to visit any casino it will not be left with them to either study about what have been shown to them or play a blind eyes to it.

I don't think you're right with the first few lines of your response. This forum is a high DA site and any thread shared on this board ranks immediately on Google. People who search using the keyword associated with the topics in this board visit this forum in enormous numbers. The forum generates over 1 million visitors each month. So, don't think that only a few people visit the gambling board, the gambling board is a place where visitors read reviews on different cryptocurrency casinos before depositing money into the casino. Your other suggestions are great. Governments in countries like Australia are working strides ahead to help mentally disordered gamblers suffering from addiction. Such people need adequate attention to save them from this struggle. Many harm themselves physically by wasting funds meant for other financial responsibilities on gambling. Depression and anxiety eat their joy up and leave them lonely and neglected.

In the society of today, people are offered different forms of difficulties from hikes in prices of commodities to low weekly salaries. They'll hardly focus on helping depressed gamblers. Instead, they'll blame the person for their problem, which puts the addicted gambler in a more severe problem. Even when in therapy the gambler still has to suffer from the treatments he got from close relatives who neglected his problems and didn't care for him. These challenges also push the gambler out of therapy, as he'll think nobody would be able to help him except himself. Gambling addiction isn't a type of addiction to cure alone. So, the sharing of flyers in society could only have a minor effect on helping mentally disordered gamblers. It can still build up the number of addicts in society, as, no bad publicity. Whether it teaches the disadvantage of gambling, publicity remains publicity, newbies who haven't heard or read of gambling would give it a shot. Take sexual intercourse for example, the more its disadvantages like STDs are spread across on radios and TVs the more people engage in it.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: December 15, 2023, 07:40:39 AM
~snip~
Exactly, you will guide your child so that he does not go astray. We can't really avoid introducing gambling to them now because there are many influencers out there or others promoting it. Others can also be found in add-ons so please always be careful in your actions.
With guidance from their parents, we can direct them not to gamble. We have to be able to explain gambling clearly so that they don't get the wrong information. We can also set the device not to display advertisements that are not suitable for children so that these advertisements do not influence them. And don't let them use their devices for too long because that can make them lazy to do other things. If they are too busy with their devices, they will not care about their surroundings because they are more concerned with their devices and updates from their social media.

Spending long hours on screen is not encouraged for both adults and kids. Eye straining blurs the views of kids, growing up. In the process, if not attended to the parents will have to spend money treating eye problems. Gambling ads will pop up for kids and not all would bother asking what it's about. They'll look it up on Google and when they discover it's a game, the child would want to participate. Parents are required to keep a close look at every online activity a child gets involved in. Neglecting a few observations on the kids exposes them to lots of dangerous ads that go beyond gambling. And can destroy the future of the child, due to the loads of fake information he'll be feeding himself. The ads we see on stadiums can't be regulated for kids. Both those watching on television and the kids in the stadium get to see the ads. If they insist on knowing it's quite an advantage to help that child understand the age requirement for gambling.

Just like in the case of beer, kids see those ads and don't bother about drinking it as it's obvious the drink is not for children. I deem it right for a child to be outspoken in asking such questions to his parents rather than Google. On the other hand, parents should build a strong relationship with their children such that they'll be able to ask questions directly to them. It'll reduce the rate of time they spend reading answers on blogs. Helping them focus on other real-life activities like spending time with fellow kids in their environment. Though the environment isn't safe too, we should keep up with our close relationship and ask calculative questions to the kids on the outcome of their daily activities. Other than watching football games a child wouldn't see too many gambling ads. They can only see gaming ads on cartoon channels and also develop an interest in playing video games until they get to the appropriate age of wondering about gambling or participating in the game.
1395  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: December 14, 2023, 11:53:54 PM

I am not rich but I do win from time to time and I have a poor friend who I consider so lucky because he won many times in horse racing so now he is not poor nor rich but he is proof that rich or poor your chances are all the same, no category in life has a monopoly when it comes to gambling.

The only reason it seems the rich has more chances of winning is because of the difference in their bankroll, the rich has a bigger bankroll so when they win, they win way bigger than the poor but regardless that, the chances are and odds are just the same with the rich as it is with the poor.
I also know of a rich friend of mine who's a gambler, he called me up one morning and told me he was gonna quite gambling for a while because he's been loosing quite a lot in gambling lol. So even the rich are experiencing the same losses and winnings as much as the poor are experiencing it, the difference is just in the bankroll.

Sometimes I even think the rich loses more because since they have a huge bankroll, their losses also comes in massive amounts and they tend to loose much more money than the poor who has a small bankroll.

Similarly, it increases their risk of losing lots of money in gambling. Wagering huge amounts of money reduces their wealth real quick and the win they get via gambling also goes back to gambling. Beyond betting the rich have better-paying jobs that yield them huge amounts of money. And they don't gamble for money anymore, most of them prefer gambling for the fun. But, I've heard of rich gamblers who went broke through gambling. Most especially those gamblers who got rich in gambling; the jackpot winners. A rich gambler who isn't careful with managing his wealth can make similar mistakes. Rich or poor, it's of great importance for a gambler to be careful about the way he spends his money, gambling. Reckless gambling knows no boundary and can affect anybody. On the contrary, like you said, their wins are always big, because of the high roll bank they've got. Which sounds or looks like the rich win more than the low rollers.

That doesn't mean that a low roller won't win big with little amounts. It depends on the odds he plays with his budget. So, if the rich gambler doesn't understand the right ethics of gambling and the strategies required to maintain his wealth. He'd regret gambling. Addiction could spoil his business productivity and leave him with only gambling activities. Although the rich and skilled gamblers always make big profits in gambling. For instance, by wagering a hundred thousand bucks on a single football team to win, the rich player has a better chance of winning the game and gaining more money. While the low roller would have to spend a few bucks on a few more games, reducing his chances of winning. In sports gambling, the richer players have better chances of either winning or losing big. But in slot games, it's very risky for any player who doesn't follow good gambling strategies.
1396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Passionate gambler keeps the gambling boards rolling even after retirements on: December 14, 2023, 11:19:09 PM
All these are literally what passion for gambling could be but yeah, this said gambling festive organiser happens to be a retired gambler.
From your story, those who gamble come from far away places and I'm sure those who take part in gambling are not only aiming to win. It's an activity they enjoy. they hope for victory in what they love. So even if they don't win, they won't be too disappointed because they will come again when the event is held again in the future.
addicted or not, I think they spend what they can. and that won't be a problem. the activity is sure to be fun.

When a clique of old men wants to reunite with a gambling activity, it's only fun and wherever they find themselves they'll be glad to meet their old friends. For instance, if a group of young boys who love playing video games together, grows up to live in different locations, they'll always feel happy to visit each other and play games together. The same applies to the elderly men. And it helps them to stay happy and build their brain power. Discussing old events while enjoying the fun of gambling together is quite memorable. I don't think anyone would be disappointed served with all the fun and passion this reunion brings into their life. Moreover the money wasn't contributed by any of them. The man single-handedly sponsored the festival, so nothing to regret. If every other gambler thinks like this, that check through all they are to benefit from gambling, they wouldn't suffer problem gambling caused by the anxiety of feeling regrets due to losses.

Gamblers should consider it as a way of sponsoring themselves to stay happy and enjoy their day, after a stressful week at work. The only difference is that the aforementioned game is dependent on skills. Only the highly skilled players would win, due to their fast and calculative moves. Unlike the type of game we gamblers play online, which relies on luck and precautionary skills like money management. The fun of the checkers game is that a player can wager a huge amount on a player they know isn't skilled enough to win them. So, when the game is over the loser is expected to up his game and try again next time. Maybe at next year's festival. You'd then understand why these men come back to play is, also, to show their previous winner that they have increased their skill. Grin Playing games in this way won't lead gamblers to addiction. It's quite fun to watch these old men play drought.
1397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The need for mental section or public orientation for new gamblers. on: December 14, 2023, 10:51:51 PM
Setting up a mental health board in a forum where there are no or few mental health practitioners or psychotherapists to help addicts, won't offer enough help to the victims who complain in the section. I'd suggest that the gambling discussion board is enough. The general discussion would help the victim and also maintain the fact that the instructions or discussion isn't from a professional, but crypto enthusiast interested in gambling. There are lots of gambling sites where therapists share ideas regarding addiction. Gambling addicts can easily visit the sites, it rank on Google's first page in the mental health keywords. Op's idea is great, but gambling addiction isn't something that a substandard contribution on a Bitcoin forum would be able to solve. I mean it's rare for an addicted gambler to get a cure through online discussions. Even the mental health sites can only share a few first-aid ideas and then redirect the victim to a therapist.

Therefore, the board you want to be added to the forum will only be less active, as every other issue regarding gambling; addiction, strategy, etc fits into this board. However, addicted newbies feel reluctant to openly share their problems, but could summon the courage to share it online. At least gamblers who have gone through addiction can share their healing process with the newbie and he'd begin to apply it in his daily life. Like any other response above, reading this board is enough for any kind of advice an addict requires to begin his healing process as a gambling addict. In a nutshell, I'd prefer that they undergo this process with professionals in the mental health field. Which will speed up their healing process. The advice shared here is of different perspectives and not all would be useful to the addicted player.  And he'll have a hard time choosing whose advice to abide by, or hard time winnowing out the useful ones from the loads of advice that'll be shared.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: December 14, 2023, 10:26:01 PM
Surely it does effects our behavior. Before gambling I used to be happy, polite, caring towards others. But after gambling became a habit I started to become repulsive and aggressive towards others. It made me somebody totally new. It was due the the fact I lost many bets. That made me and my mood very angry occasionally. Sometimes I would vent out my anger in others even though they had no part in it. These kinds of behavior made me distant from my families. Only then I realized what I did was wrong. Later I had to change my gambling addiction and limit it under certain rules.

Exactly, change in behaviors is expected when you are already engage deeply in gambling, especially when you are in the losing streak I can agree to what you said, sometimes you want to point figner and throw the blame to someone who don't have any relation with gambling but becuse you can't accept the fact that you keep losing over and over, you are trying to find the way to blame someone and exempt yourself as liable with your actions.

But it's good if you manage to escape from that kind of addiction and you are able now to minimize or realize what you done wrong and you are on the side where you already place your limitation.

Escaping from this kind of addiction is not possible if the player blames others for his losses. Dealing with gamblers with such an ill behavior; the transfer of aggression, affects the happiness of the people around him. Society loves to be safe from trouble, hence a gambler who attacks the happiness of others, after losing huge amounts in gambling, won't be loved. Distancing from our loved ones to a place where we'd hardly see people we know could help. Just like in the case of Goxcraft. Yet loneliness can be dangerous for the addict, as he'd pass through too many hardships, struggling to change. Going to therapy would help as they have new ways of healing gamblers in this state of life. Giving them assignments or tasks to complete. Endeavoring that the addict meets up with therapy sessions, could help him change. And redirect his actions to something better.

Staying lonely only puts the addict in a situation where he thinks nothing can be done to save him from the problem. That's why an addict who distances himself from loved ones and still gambles won't be able to change. Sharing our pains with others is also a reasonable method of changing to a better person. Whenever we are alone, we tend to keep ourselves busy with gambling. Therefore reducing our funds and risking our finances. Which isn't a great idea for an addict. Taking loans can be his next decision. Worsening the situation and increasing anxiety. So, the best thing is to get to this stage of addiction in the first instance. Not everybody would be lucky enough to escape it. Gambling addiction is very hard to cure, and therapists know this, as it'll be hard to switch the addiction to something else. Our main goal as gamblers is to derive joy through gambling, any opposition to that would introduce anger and tough days in the life of the gambler and his loved ones.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Target your wins in a series of bets on: December 14, 2023, 10:03:10 PM
I just felt I should bring this up here maybe it will help someone in managing expectations and the entire gambling process.

From experience, I have realised that many people run into problems when they focused so much on winning a particular bet amd when such bet fails, they easily slide into psychological crisis.  Considering that gambling is a game of probability with the chances of losing higher than that of winning, it is therefore expected we work out ways of approaching it so we can remain profitable.

Like seriously? However, there is also a possibility that either you lose or you win, most times we don't have to put winning in our mindset when ever we want to gamble but it is very hard to do so.
What I think you are saying is it will be more better if a gambler stake on 10 separate games that has at least 2 odds and above or lower, maybe 4 might be won, that's funny though but i can say that there is a possibility that you might still lose the bet.
A gambler can not study odds even if he or she take the whole time he or she has, however this is just for only those that are betting on sport, like me.

The bookmakers work on odds with analysis from the best mathematicians and statisticians in the gambling company. They tend to set odds in ways the casino would be on many profits regardless of the winning team. The smaller teams with lesser winning history have high pay for players who wager bets on them. Considering that only a few number of gamblers spend money on smaller teams. The casino earns way too high profits if they win. Hence, Op's method is quite very risky because most people who don't understand how to place games according to the available odds will lose out on all their predictions. They'll always go for a bigger odd or the big team with a high possibility of winning. Forgetting that it's a sports game, anything can happen in the field of play. However, whoever wants to utilize such a predicting strategy should do so with a lesser amount of money to stay on the safe side.

And also remember to take responsibility for any result that occurs out of the decision. On the side of slot players, this strategy won't work. Unless the player decides to stop after his 10th round on the game, he won't be able to predict what's his fate in utilizing Op's strategy. He claims it works and for that, it'll be profitable for others. No doubt he could be seen making profits using his strategy, but other gamblers may not understand the basics, of how Op could be able to succeed using this strategy. Devising our strategies is important because it feels good to win through a unique strategy exclusively made for us. I don't encourage the sharing of strategies that promise gamblers winning. The method only causes more harm than good to the gamblers who adopt the strategy. Twisting new methods out of other's own could be a better way of creating our gambling strategy.
1400  Economy / Economics / Re: Luxury and spending lifestyle fastest way to poverty rich kids on: December 14, 2023, 09:40:14 PM
The ants are wiser than many of our youths because they understand the principle of life without them being told what to do, some people were already privileged to make money and gather wealth, yet they will scatter the whole thing by their hands for nothing sake, this is how they do so by living exhorbitant life today and begging tomorrow for a survival when they got broke because they have wasted their time and resources from the past.

Not here to compare the brains of ants to those of humans, but their brains are tiny and focused on what to do. Humans have large brains and huge responsibilities allocated to us. Hence, it's not simple to get past the challenges behind the lifestyle we find ourselves in. A rich kid with his exposure to wealth at a young age, is also allocated responsibilities to tackle, growing up. Most kids face the challenges of having to deal with the wants of their parents. Parenting rich kids requires too many principles and few parents always treat them the hard way. They're expected to go the route their parents want them to go. School, traveling abroad, and expensive lifestyles are under the supervision of their parents. Many kids on this radar don't have a say and their opinions contrary to that of the parents are frowned upon and they get punished. Some may not be given pocket money or gifts. Lack of parental care affects them emotionally, their parents don't have enough time with the kids, and they only focus on generating money.

Attending business meetings. Hence, these kids as adults have to deal with all the challenges revolving around their personal lives. Depression affects some of these kids, despite getting everything on a platter of gold. Haven't you noticed that in a family some kids are not given enough love like the parents give the sibling who follows every single instruction issued to them by the parents; good or bad? Troubles emerge when one tries to follow his own decision. While the parents stay alive, they'll get a limited luxury lifestyle like others in the same family. If the child continues with his own goals, he nearly escapes all the troubles his siblings would undergo after the departure of their parents. Hence, those who didn't care about living a remarkable life would go broke as their parent's wealth would stagger due to their lack of monetary control. The children of the rich man, when he's gone, would sell his properties to keep up with a lavish lifestyle. Putting himself in a more difficult life.
