I do not think it shows a level of one's intelligence. However, I believes it creates the foundation for it.

when you find yourself if dire situations, your faculty of thought often awakens, you start thinking of how to crack codes and how best to avoid certain loses that appears impossible, it requires your intellect to handle but even in gambling, its designed to flaw your ability to think but also awakens it in order to make a mess of it.

In slot games, the low rollers can still have chances of winning, but that won't be much like a high roller. However being a high roller in slot games isn't advisable as a gambler, because of the high rate of losses. However in a physical casino, the more you focus on playing using a specific machine, you may be able to understand how it works. On the time that you've been playing with luck based games for long time, sooner or later on the time that you do get bored then this is the moment you would be considering on taking up some strategic based games like sports betting and card game. Yes maybe if we play the game like calculating numbers, strategy, puzzle, and involves memory because the kind of that, like poker, sports betting and etc are need careful calculation to win the game. But for the game just pushing the button and rolling, I think it does not show how smart that people are because it's just for fun, and lots of luck.
but there are also the people who may be even more extreme by calculating a fair play game like dice, slot, and etc which I think is not included in that because we know it seems impossible to calculate the spin number because the probability calculation is always fifty fifty.

Well, I often play Baccarat and it's a game based on luck so I don't think intelligence has something to do on this game. Unless you're playing a skill based games, because strategy and knowledge could work to win (though not guaranteed still).

Therefore if you're thinking carefully trying to figure out the strategy to use to be able to win. Then I think we can somehow say that it has something to do with intelligence. Nevertheless, the choice of games are not the basis if you're smart or if you are your using your brain to have an advantage for the specific game. Gambling is existing to entertain ourselves and be lucky to make money. The games are not the basis to know the player's intelligence.

I don't think many will agree with your thread, intelligence has nothing to do with your choice of game, and no study on this will validate your opinion, It is every player's preference whether you're a genius or less intelligent you can pick any game you want, no games were created for specific intelligence, the casino will not discriminate their players by classifying their games.
But it has something to do with the player's level of interest some players want a game where they can do analysis, and some players prefer luck-based games and try their luck.
I like sports betting especially boxing because I love watching and analyzing boxers but that does not mean I am better than my engineer friend who prefers just to play dice without much analyzing involved.

Hmm. That's quite the question. Honestly, I say that games involving you having an upper hand against the house or the opponent, like card games, for instance, require more brain power and therefore benefits from having smarter people who play their games. Of course just cause you down poker tables doesn't necessarily mean you're the next incarnation of Einstein or whatever, but compared to games like slots who doesn't really ask for anything from the user besides the bet they make, these games certainly have that effect of making you feel like you're intelligent or whatever.

Then again, I only ever care about making sure that you don't blow your whole money away. You can be the smartest blackjack player on the planet but if you don't have limits placed upon your bankroll, you're bound to lose everything anyway.

I don't think so. It depends on which gambling games people want to play. A person's level of intelligence does not determine the type of gambling game, but to play it, a person must understand how to play it. If they play poker, blackjack, or baccarat, it is not that someone's level of intelligence is higher in playing the gambling game, but based on their level of understanding of how to play it. Likewise, if they play slot games, keno, dice, or gambling games that are easy to play, each person will determine which gambling game they want to play. Some people really understand the game of poker but like playing dice or slots, and it's based on something other than their level of intelligence.

Same here! I got your point, Even if I always want to play easy gambling slots and easier games doesn't mean I'm less intelligent than those people who prefers to play hard games. No. Many intelligent people do like playing simple games too just like what you do. One reason is because they don't want the stress of thinking too much, especially those who work on office jobs where most of what they do is think. They just want their rest and enjoy gambling without stressing their brains more.
There are sports gamblers too that like it simple. Some will do their research (like me) while some just want to bet with their favorite teams but we cannot they are fools or it was an unwise bet. It depends on the reason why a gambler is playing. Some just want to relax while others want to make money as badly as they can to feel the glory.
I think there are more sports gamblers, especially in the football game who bet only for their team because they are hardcore fans. They won't even think about it but we cannot say their intelligence is low.

I have tried and played all the types of gambling games that you mentioned, of course they all have their own challenges for players, of course everyone's tastes are different and varied, gambling has its own breadth for players.
