1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest Low Cap altcoins for next bull run on: August 17, 2023, 11:02:56 PM
Bitcoin is the best that I can advice someone to buy.

For altcoins: ADA, DOT, QTUM, SOL, SAND, GALA, MATIC are some good ones. But the first I can recommend is not an altcoin which is bitcoin.

Be careful with altcoins, they are more volatile and risky.
1382  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is a spot bitcoin ETF? on: August 17, 2023, 02:20:35 PM
bitcoin-Cash, what did you imply by writing this?

Is it Bitcoin Cash, a Bitcoin fork?

Bitcoin Cash, is it what you implied?
The question has been answered. What he is saying is that is bitcoin different from bitcoin spot ETF just as bitcoin cash is different from bitcoin. The answer is no, although bitcoin spot ETF is different from the real bitcoin, but it should not be compared with how bitcoin cash is entirely different from bitcoin. With the explanation above, OP will understand the difference between bitcoin and bitcoin spot ETF.
1383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is a spot bitcoin ETF? on: August 17, 2023, 02:14:31 PM
it’s price is pegged on the actual price of Bitcoin which means the investment experience is still the same.
The investment experience is not the same with having the real bitcoin which gives you the complete control over tour bitcoin, bitcoin spot ETF is centralized. To have complete control, what to go for is still bitcoin on a self custody wallet.

Although it is true that more people will be exposed to buying bitcoin and it will help in bitcoin adoption.
1384  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is a spot bitcoin ETF? on: August 17, 2023, 01:51:35 PM
Read about it clearly from investopedia:

https://www.investopedia.com/investing/bitcoin-etfs-explained/

With bitcoin spot ETF, you are not buying bitcoin, you are buying the assets traded on traditional market which is having the same price with bitcoin on the spot market.

The companies that offer you the asset buy bitcoin before they offer customers the traded funds.
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could stable coins save a deprecating economy on: August 17, 2023, 11:23:31 AM
Stable coin can not save the depreciating economy. Even if it is Unted States that you are talking about, stable coin can not help. What they will help, fiat is not among. What that helps economy is how productive they are in a nation.

Stability: Stablecoins are designed to be less volatile than traditional cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum. This stability could provide a more reliable medium of exchange and store of value, especially in economies with rapidly depreciating currencies.
If someone's life is stable, did you know what that means?

Nothing in life is stable.

Stable coins reduce in value from time to time.

Stable coins and fiat are devaluating assets.

Inflation Control: Stablecoins are typically pegged to a stable asset like a fiat currency or commodity, which could help countries better control inflation and manage their monetary policy especially in African countries.
Fiat like the USD are the inflation themselves. Inflation can not be used to control inflation.
1386  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR on: August 17, 2023, 11:13:43 AM
This same applies to exchanges as to Whirlwind: Not your keys, not your coins. So everyone can decide for themselves to take the risk or not.
They are the same, not your key nit your coin. But they are also different because mixers should just be for what they are called which is mixing. Any other offer that will encourage people to deposit for long or investment on a mixing site is an indication of a scam attempt.

Another way that people can think of is when It is always better to get your coins directly in your wallet. I do not know if anyone complained about the chance?  But this procedure is also often done at campaigns from casinos. Payout directly to the user account. It is always about trust. And Whirlwind has abused our trust completely.
That one is different. Whirlwind starts by paying to peoples self hosted wallet addresses until a sudden change to paying to public key note. But the same because they are both custodial.
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi network KYC on: August 17, 2023, 10:22:57 AM
There is no Pi network. Pi coins cannot have value, and you cannot sell or trade Pi coins because their mainnet hasn't been launched yet. The question is whether it will ever be launched. As for the Huobi exchange, I have no idea what they sell, but it is certainly not Pi coins.
You are not correct about this. This is the coin on Huobi Global:

Although the deposit is suspended but the coin is trading on the spot market.

There is no issue with the devleoper nor the pi coin app, they open the KYC window seasonally, they have done it twice now, its your responsibility to always keep yourself updated on when the next one will be.

The Pi coin in HUOBI GLOBAL isn't the exact Pi coin you you have in your Pi coin wallet, you may want to do an extensive research to arrive at what information you need.
Thank you for this, this is what I will think of that happened. I will check the Pi browser app periodically to know when it will allow KYC.

I have Pi network before that I sold last year thru P2P merchant and it was a good time to mine during the pandemic years, it was all worth it. I passed the KYC and verification was fast because it's not congested with request yet. So, doing KYC now it will take a while to get approved and KYC slots are limited as well. If you're getting an error, it must be do with the verification process or mostly like the ID you submitted.
I was getting the error from the start without no any KYC submitted yet.

To the effect of this that OP is asking of, I think the Pi network runs that by badges probably depending on when they receive the sign up. After a while it is will available for the KYC. I think that is the 5th level of verification out of 8 of them. What I'm not sure yet of pi network is if they have actually been launched because it is not verifiable the pi sold in huobi.
See the image above, although the deposit is suspended for now. You can trade the coin on Huobi Global.
1388  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR on: August 17, 2023, 09:47:59 AM
In retrospect, the biggest red flag should have been when they went from being very active to almost completely inactive on Bitcointalk. It looks like they lost interest because the site didn't gain the traction they hoped for.
When people should have been suspecting Whirlwind to be scam is when they began anonymity mining or something with 12% APR. I do not know much about it but it is like a way people will leave their bitcoin on the centralized mixing service. Many people will be affected.

Another way that people can think of is when they began paying using note public key to the Whirlwind participants on this forum. Funds are paid from note public key into note public key. It would have been better if it is paid to individual bitcoin addresses on their self hosted wallet.
1389  Other / Meta / Re: Still kicking. on: August 17, 2023, 06:48:47 AM
If you have staked your bitcoin address before or used it anywhere on this forum, you can use it to recover your account.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089777.msg48896084#msg48896084

But what I see about you post is that you only want to be trolling around.

There are people that were affected but having their accounts back. I was not on this forum when this happened but there are accounts with the right users that have been created before the attack
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Comprehensive Review and Rating of Coinomi Wallet on: August 17, 2023, 06:28:51 AM
Coinomi is a close source wallet, not recommendable.

Security Measures (Rating: 4.8/5):
Security is of paramount importance in the cryptocurrency space, and Coinomi Wallet does not disappoint in this regard. The wallet employs strong encryption techniques to safeguard users' private keys and sensitive data. Additionally, the ability to store private keys locally on the user's device adds an extra layer of security by reducing the risk of online attacks. The integration of Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) wallet support further enhances security by generating a new address for each transaction.
Because it is HD wallet, that adds to the privacy not security. Coinomi is an online wallet, it should be taken as an online wallet. Online wallets are less secure unlike cold wallets which are the most secure.

Backup and Recovery (Rating: 4.7/5):
Coinomi Wallet offers robust backup and recovery options. During the initial setup, users are prompted to create a recovery seed phrase, which can be used to restore the wallet in case the device is lost or compromised. The wallet's compatibility with industry-standard BIP39 and BIP44 ensures seamless recovery on various platforms, which is a reassuring feature for long-term users.
Are you kidding, then why is it a wallet?

Multi-Asset Support (Rating: 4.9/5):
One of the standout features of Coinomi Wallet is its support for a vast array of cryptocurrencies and tokens. From established coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum to lesser-known altcoins, the wallet's compatibility with such a wide range of assets is impressive. This makes it an all-in-one solution for users with diversified portfolios.
Coinomi is not supporting many coins. It is only supporting coins that have been created long ago. It is not supporting Dot, Ada, Qtum, Neo, Gala, Bake, Alice, Sand and most other coins. It is not supporting chains likeTRC20, BSC, Sola, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism and other ones.

Transaction Speed and Fees (Rating: 4.6/5):
In my testing, I found that transactions using the Coinomi Wallet were processed promptly and with reasonable fees. The wallet offers a dynamic fee calculation feature that helps users optimize transaction speed based on their preference, whether they want their transactions to be confirmed quickly or are willing to wait for lower fees during times of network congestion.
Transaction is about the network or blockchain, not about the wallet. This makes you wrong.

Overall Rating: 4.6/5
In conclusion, the Coinomi Wallet is a secure, versatile, and user-friendly cryptocurrency storage solution that caters to a wide spectrum of users. Its strong security measures, multi-asset support, and robust backup options make it a compelling choice for both newcomers and experienced crypto enthusiasts. While no wallet is entirely without flaws, Coinomi Wallet's features and performance position it as a noteworthy contender in the competitive crypto wallet landscape. With an overall rating of 4.6 out of 5, it stands as a reliable option for those seeking a comprehensive cryptocurrency storage solution.
It is a close source wallet which makes people that have experience about wallets to rate it far less.
1391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Orbot on mobile devices for .onion for bitcoin mixing on: August 16, 2023, 07:59:48 PM
Thank you all for your replies. I tried Orbot and it worked and I thought I should ask the question on this forum to know if it is a safe to use Orbot to on privacy browsers, not that I am intending to do that. I use Tor and Tor is very fast than before. I have read all what that you have posted and this lead to a conclusion that Orbot should not be used with browsers. Although there are still apps that you can use it with, example are noncustodial wallets that you can connect it with directly. There are wallets that uses that on mobile devices like Electrum and Unstoppable wallet.
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Pi network KYC on: August 16, 2023, 07:50:01 PM
I have a brother that has been using his mobile phone to mine Pi network some years ago before the coin become tradable, but left it and thought the coin is worthless. He asked me about the coin many months ago and I told him that the coin is worthless. Recently I saw the price on Huobi global and it was around $25. I told my brother about it and we are about to do KYC and send the PI coin to mainnet wallet, but on Pi browser, I got this error:

I do not know if the mistake is from us or the Pi network developer do not just want people to be able to withdraw their coins to mainnet. Is there a way my brother can be able to do KYC without getting that error? My brother has high amount of Pi coin on the Pi network app used for the mining.
1393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can personal message (PM) apare on ninjastic space? on: August 16, 2023, 03:18:00 PM
Message is what is personal to you, you can not see it on ninjastuc.space.

These are what that you can search for on ninjasctic.space using their ID:

Post
Topic
Username
User ID
Address

Only you can see your messages. Admin can be able to see it too is my guess.
1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: only 7% of supply is halving on: August 15, 2023, 11:28:12 PM
So expect a 3.5% increase max.
Did you mean 3.5% or 3.5x? Bitcoin is more volatile than to expect 3.5%. Even before halving, bitcoin will have more than 3.5% uptrends and downtrends.

In the next halving, before 2026, I am expecting bitcoin to have increased above $100000 which is the least price I could think of.
1395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Orbot on mobile devices for .onion for bitcoin mixing on: August 15, 2023, 08:34:04 AM
If you want privacy, don't use centralized and closed source services from wallets, exchanges to browsers. It is problem you get when using Orbot with Chrome, Edge, Safari browser.
Do you mean Orbot is centralized?

Or are you referring to browsers to be centralized?

Orbot us not centralized.

I am referring to browsers like Duckduckgo which is my favorite. Another privacy browse is Mozilla Firefox.

It is good to mention Tor which is a privacy browser but not need the help of anything because it is Tor itself.
1396  Other / Beginners & Help / Orbot on mobile devices for .onion for bitcoin mixing on: August 15, 2023, 08:20:15 AM
I am using Tor to access .onion mixer link, but I tried it with Orbot on a privacy browser like Duckduckgo, not on browser like Chrome, Edge or Safari.

I downloaded Orbot, I enabled Duckduckgo on my mobile phone, I went to Duckduckgo browser and .onion sites are not working which is normal because I disabled Orbot first. I started Orbot, I used the mixer .onion link and it was working and I was able to mix my coins.

Is this idea good as an alternative to Tor browser?
1397  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we have a newbie Bitcoin wallet? on: August 15, 2023, 08:08:39 AM
It is just simple as do not let anyone to know your seed phrase. Anyone that knows your seed phrase will steal your bitcoin. Backup your seed phrase not online but offline on paper or steal sheet and have two copies of it. Avoid phishing.

Address is what you will give to people to send you bitcoin.

What should be known again for newbies? Nothing.

Use Electrum wallet or Sparrow and enjoy using them.

Read very well about malware. Also about passphrass.
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking Coins With Annual Returns - Good Idea on: August 15, 2023, 01:08:52 AM
Atomic wallet was hacked some months ago that led to loss of over $100 million. Is that the wallet you still prefer to use to stake coins? It is better you look for other wallet that you can use.

Atomic wallet is selfish. It only have one validators which is Atomic itself.

If you go to Trustwallet, you will know what I am talking about. Like the Osmosis that you talked about, you will see Atomic as a validators and you will see many other validators that you can choose from to stake the coin. Trustwallet is not an open source wallet and you should know that close source wallet are not trustworthy.

If you want to stake coins like Osmosis, the best wallet for it is still Keplr wallet. It does not fail like Trustwallet sometimes and having many options of validators.

Do you think it's a good idea to stake coins?
Please explain your opinion.
If you want to gamble with altcoins, you can also stake them in the process of holding them. But know that you will have to wait for some days before you will be able to have access to a coin after you unstake it. You will be notified that before you successfully stake your coin.
1399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash difference? on: August 14, 2023, 08:00:18 PM
Bitcoin cash is an altcoin. It forked from bitcoin. An hard fork.

When there was a disagreement in the bitcoin community to increase bitcoin block size or not, the community divided and the people that wanted increase in block size later resulted to bitcoin cash creation while bitcoin remain to be bitcoin.

After the hard fork that led to bitcoin cash, people that have bitcoin on their wallet are given the same amount in bitcoin cash which they can claim it on the bitcoin cash wallet with their bitcoin private key.

Bitcoin cash is not the same as bitcoin, it is forked from bitcoin and it is one of the altcoins.

You registered bitcointalk account just yesterday and you are spamming this forum with questions.

Continue to spam if you like. But know that spamming will not help you on this forum. Your transaction has not been confirmed for six days, you can not reply there after some people gave you some advice. I do not believe anything that you are posting.

You have posted four topics, you did not reply to any.
