1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you look for when investing in altcoin? on: February 14, 2017, 08:16:59 PM
If it's a new one then first i would look into the team, their motivation and ability. Then the innovation of the coin, the plan wheter it's doable or not and the community's response to it. If it's an alt-coin which already being on some exchange then first thing i would look into is the trading volume. If the trading volume is quite high then i would consider investing in it.

1384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Investment: risk or benefit? on: February 14, 2017, 09:17:36 AM
Every investment has it's own risk and benefit, bitcoin isn't an exception. The price fluctuations can bring both risk and benefit for you so you must be prepared. You shouldn't invest something you can't afford to lose.
1385  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Perjuangan seorang Newbie on: February 14, 2017, 09:10:22 AM

banyak banget situ2 ptc yg belom balik modal pahit sih yg saya alami dlunya tpi skrang alhamdulillah sudah mulai merasakan hasilnya gan

1386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: February 14, 2017, 09:01:21 AM
First time i hear about bitcoin is when i was looking for additional income online. In the forum i read, there was so many thread with faucet links etc, you can earn x ammount of satoshi every x minutes. I don't even know what satoshi is, then i did some googling. That was my first step in bitcoin world  Cheesy.
1387  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: February 14, 2017, 08:42:26 AM
Bitcoin is not common in my country, so i can't buy any daily necessities with it.  I used my bitcoin mostly on exchanger. The other thing i used bitcoin for are buying some steam games. Even with that not many stores accept bitcoin. Right now i don't see many reason to spend bitcoin because of the fluctuates of the price.
1388  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: February 13, 2017, 05:38:46 PM
If i were you, i would split the BTC, i will save 10 btc while use the other 2 for trading. But trading is risky especially if you do not have enough knowledge and experince. But if you are too lazy to learn about trading then i guess just hold the Bitcoin until the price rise again .

If you want to do some trading better to do with all of your coin, there is so pointless if you are just using 2 btc of your total coin, that is not even half of your balance to do trading. If you can manage to use high amount to trade I believe that you will earn a quick cash. Because bitcoin price is really volatile so you can take advantage in this kind of trading

Well i asume he does not have any knowledge in trading, so i suggest using that 2 bitcoin for trading while learning. Because trading with zero knowledge is too risky. If he's confident enough, then he can use the other one or keep using the 2 btc.
1389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: February 13, 2017, 02:28:31 PM
Well, you can't compare them because they are two different things. Bitcoin is a currency and paypal is a payment service. For buying things online, i prefer using paypal as more online merchant i use accept paypal as the payment method, only a few accept bitcoin. But i prefer bitcoin to send fund and as a form of investment.

why your say bitcoin and paypal is difference,
paypal and bitcoin not diference is same digital curency can payment online, but youre true many store online is accepted paypal use payment , because paypal is complete regulation and supported feture dispute so many store online is prefered to use paypal
and many make money online prefered use bitcoin because is easy use and can grow capital money, is same digital curency but difference customer and client

Well both bitcoin and paypal can fuction as means of payment, but bitcoin have another use which is a form of investment where paypal can't therefore i said bitcoin and paypal is difference. One have advantages to the other, Paypal has the popularity with online merchant, bitcoin has less transaction fee. For me paypal is better rightnow, but if more merchant which i use accept bitcoin, then things can change.

Yes, the fact is right that PayPal is not a currency and Bitcoin is. But we are considering the terms of usage. PayPal is used by allot of countries and Bitcoin has now gained the popularity more than PayPal. It is about usability and transaction fees, which is comparatively low in Bitcoin.
But we also know that the wallet of the bitcoin are the type of payment processors they send money from one person to another like paypal and other payment processors. So if someone is comparing between paypal and bitcoin then they are talking about the transaction system of bitcoin through which we pay for goods and services like paypal.

If we are talking about bitcoin and paypal as a payment system, i still prefer paypal for buying things because PayPal provides buyer protection so i feel safer when i want to buy something. I prefer bitcoin for sending funds to friends or family because of lower fee ( i don't mind it arrived much later).
1390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: February 13, 2017, 09:41:43 AM
Well sometimes i feel like i want to quit trading because it's so tiring. Trading in cryptocurriencies is so unpredictable and require me to pay attention all the time. But the profit i earn always give me support to continue trading  Cheesy
i think you don't have to quit trading but you need to take a rest for a while because trading is really need our patience, our emotion to see the price to go down and up. and sometimes if we are feel tired, we can not focus with the trading and it means that we need to get out from trading for a moment to refresh our mind. its happen to me too and for the other traders and i am sure that they have a way to solve this.

Yeah i won't quit, at least for now  Smiley. I agree that i need to take a rest for a while because my judgement has become a bit dull. But it's already a habit so i always check the price even when im not trading  Cry

That is because you are a day trader but if you are just going to buy and just hold, that is still trading and you don't need to put so much effort with your trades. In that way, you will no say anymore that trading is so tiring. You can still get profit even you are not going to monitor your trades all the time, you just need to wait for the price increase.
This is a nice suggestion, but for now i'll stick with my strategy as a day trader. Maybe i'll do it later if i can't trade daily anymore.

1392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is being told to people in High Schools about Bitcoin on: February 12, 2017, 11:07:42 AM
The teacher definitely has a very little understanding about bitcoin, at least he know what bitcoin is. His opinion proves that he's only hear a little about bitcoin and jump to conclusion based on what he heard without more research. He's an economic teacher so he should study more about things like this.

1396  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: February 12, 2017, 06:06:00 AM
if i were really desperate, i would sell some stuff i don't need anymore. Then i would search for another part time job until i got a fulltime job. I also have some shares that i can sell incase something happen. But i don't see that kind of situation happen because at least i have savings and i don't like borrowing money from friends or family.

Lucky if you could sell your unused goods... Usually when we are desperately in need, we try to sell things that are valuable to us, as it is very easy to sell them and make money... Like you, I still prefer to use my savings, and if I am short, I usually make a loan or sell one of my guitars... I usually don't like to borrow to a friend or even family, unless they offer it to me... ( pride )  Cheesy

Tha's because i still have my savings, so i can survive using my savings while i sold my unused goods. Of course i have valuable things to sell, but i am unwilling to sell it until it's really emergency.  Money management is a very important thing to do to prevent or avoid being in this situation.
1397  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: February 12, 2017, 06:01:29 AM
I do have a passive income source. My only source of passive income are only from renting rooms to students. Years ago i bought some lands and built a house and rent the room to students who study at the university nearby. I just have to do proper maintenance to the house and it's a quite good passive income  Grin
That is a great kind of passive income, doing real estate investment is one of the stable kind of investment yet and also profitable kind of investment because for a small room you can earn a lot of money by allowing other people to rent a room. Just continue that kind of investment and after a few years, i'm sure that you will experience financial freedom.

Yeah it's a great investment, back then the university is not famous but the last five years they started expanding, advertising anywhere and since then there's so many new tenants  Cheesy. The income i got already enough for me to cover my daily necessities, but i still want to earn more thus buying and trading in bitcoin .
1398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you always missed the right time to sell/buy bitcoin? on: February 11, 2017, 06:01:16 PM
Well sometimes i missed the right time because of sleep or work etc. Instead of holding for a long time, i prefer trading in short term period. I keep buying and selling to earn some profit. Like yesterday or 2 days ago when there's a dump i bought btc for short term profit.

1400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for the rich, not the poor - We are talking about the miners fees on: February 11, 2017, 11:29:18 AM
Well, things always like that in the world. Rich people have advantages because they can spend more money for something. You pay more for better service, in this case you pay more fee for faster transcation time. But i disagree if you said bitcoin is only for the rich, yes they have advantages but the poor also could earn and use bitcoin.
