Anyone have a list of dependencies (or a ziplib of deps available to download) for windows / linux / mac / android?
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO BULLION (CBX) | Powered by PoSP | Est. 2013 on: March 20, 2016, 08:06:53 AM

Announcing the Wall Buster Initiative Program!

Ever feel that your entire life is out of balance when seeing CBX being artificially maintained in the shitcoin section of CoinMarketCap?

Do you get that feeling of existential emptiness when seeing the huge selling wall pop right back where it was, minutes after it was just put down?

Do you feel CBX is a great crypto, and deserves to be in a good position in CoinMarketCap, and that this good position will give your CBX tremendously more visibility?

Feel your PoSP staking isn't gaining often enough because your CBX balance is too low?

Let's act on it, and here is a little extra for those who do:

To make buying directly from the wall more appealing, we are offering 10 free CBX for every 50 CBX bought! but they have to have been bought directly from the wall at .0006 in Cryptopia.

Examples: 1000 CBX bought at .0006 from Cryptopia will receive 200 free CBX from us - 500 CBX bought from  Cryptopia at .0006 deserves 100 CBX.

All I need is you send me an email, with your CBX Vault address, and exact timestamp from Cyptopia, time at which your purchase transaction occured - its super easy!

ben@changingworldmedia.com

Effective immediately!!!!

PS.: This offer is meant for longer term CBX holders who want to keep, and stake the coin: thank you for respecting this.

Great idea! I will donate a physical Crypto Bullion, 1-troy ounce, limited edition bar for use as an additional incentive for this program. Perhaps to a large wall buster purchaser? However you guys see fit.

http://finitebydesign.net/product/batch-1-1-troy-ounce-of-999-fine-silver-commemorative-cryptogenic-bullion-proof/

is this offer still available? I am thinking of buying up a few thousand
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOON] Mooncoin: You know where it's headed! KGW exploit FIXED 4/3/2014 on: March 17, 2016, 07:08:41 PM
unfortunately the situation of cryptsy does not improve and I think for a long time our coins will remain locked. In bleutrade ltc visible book there are about three billion. Reasonably  the price is not serving the reduction of mooncoin in circulation.

Better make a MOON2... everybody post a screenshot of there coins on cryptsy, swap it ,and start over.

No Moon2! I have 1 billion moon Smiley

This moonlighting sounds interesting, is it compatible with ethereum?

It would be a more valuable exercise to establish the moon (as a celestial body) as owned by human consensus, e.g. the mooncoin blockchain owns the moon, and whoever has mooncoins owns a proportion of the moon. That would be a far more lucrative and sensible consensus based tool - considering the moon is helium, iron and oxygen rich to name a few Smiley

I like the name Bitcredits ,but already there was a Bitcredits
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412591.0

Yep, the concept "BitCredits" was my concept, nice to see there are thieves here too huh. I may do a Bitcredits in the future anyway as I feel I am entitled Smiley
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Britcoin 2.0 Under New Management: Cryptocurrency For The Masses on: March 14, 2016, 11:21:15 PM
Wow Shocked can't believe Britcoin is still around. I still have a few Brits with me, and I will be donating once a foundation is set Wink

Yea Britcoin is making a comeback, the guy who took over (Ken) has disappeared since stating the thread so a bunch of us from the community are taking things forward. Smiley

I think vanitywallets2015 is going to create a foundation with website soon,  guess he'll let us know when its ready.

Need to get my head around a couple of things, will be back on skype in a day or two, then take things from there.

Looks like someone might know where Cryptsy's stolen BTC are, if they can get them back then Britcoin on Cryptsy 2.0 has promise too Wink
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UPDATE | REBRAND - APRIL (XAP) - Aprilcoin - 100% POS (formerly analcoin) on: March 14, 2016, 10:41:31 AM
Aprilcoin Source :- https://github.com/buttoshianamoto/aprilcoin

Source chain is unmodified (genesis and blockchain are the same).
Source code is unmodified (other than Aprilcoin/XAP name changes).
Logo and branding updated.

Backup your wallet and archive before running.

* There is no change to the core source, wallet source is purely rebranded at the GUI level *
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UPDATE | REBRAND - APRIL (XAP) - Aprilcoin - 100% POS (formerly analcoin) on: March 14, 2016, 10:11:34 AM

Confirmation

Please can everybody let me know if this is something everyone is happy with, I have updated the core code with aprilcoin XAP information, all the other specifics are the same, so no fork should be required.

Compile

The new source is name and image ready, can anyone compile and test the wallets using the updated core source please. Once tested it can be rolled out to exchanges.

Any advice would be great - if anyone has prebuilt dependencies they can zip up and the code to compile for windows I am happy to download and compile myself.

Do you have a link or github for your updated source?

We've been talking about offering a coin swap for XAP Aprilcoin, and the month of April would be the perfect time to relaunch and get some attention.

A swap for BARR would be voluntary, only for holders who want to participate.
Anyone who burns their APRIL will receive BARR, and any remaining APRIL can continue with a reduced supply.

Hello

I've updated the source but it needs compiled and tested. Might need some additional work but;

- updated the coin type from ANAL to XAP
- updated the logo from Anal to April
- amended all references to Analcoin to Aprilcoin

I presume that we can continue on the existing blockchain without any issues, after all its purely the coin TAG and wallet GUI that's updated, the genesis block and chain remain unchanged, as long as all the nodes move to the new wallet everything should be OK?

It's not published on Git as yet, although might be able to upload in a while (been so long I need to find the updated source).

Twitter has over 1,000 followers, so Aprilcoin might have a good future, I am kind of busy doing other things but by all means if anyone wants to take it on and advance what the community has already done that would be cool.

* Uploading To Git *

I'm uploading the updated source to Git today, so anyone can take it, compile and test.

* Logo & Branding *

New logo can be provided, full scale PNGs

* Twitter *

Twitter access can be granted/unlocked for a new team / foundation

1388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CENT] Pennies relaunched on: March 14, 2016, 08:45:10 AM
nice dashboard slasher.
Thank you, but still remains at BigVern

Any news on getting your coins from Cryptsy? Mine are still locked and now cant login as the 2FA verification is not working now (no text messages coming through).

Anyone else doing anything with this coin? There's so much market liquidity that it has a real potential for real world value, does need some development though.
1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitHIRE (HIRE) | Freelance Market | Microtipping | Adverts | Featured Gigs on: March 12, 2016, 07:35:22 PM

Thanks.

Do many people get hacked because when you start up your wallet, it is broadcasting your IP address as a node? This seems like a huge oversight in privacy which means;

- a coin would be better if it was totally anonymous over tor
- main wallets should be stored offline on one pc and balances transferred from hot wallets to cold wallets when withdrawn from exchanges etc

One of the main reasons for crypto was to help cure poverty and make cash accountable, I see that technology has not really brought us any further forward.

What software do you recommend to;

- check for keyloggers
- check for ports
- check for unauthorised access
- check for rootkits

etc etc
would appreciate the help, if my computer has been accessed there still may be some evidence (its a win7 box).

Is Bithire still an ongoing project? Or another scamateur development?

As for security software.
I am one of the few people who knows less than you about that stuff. You should start a separate thread asking those questions, a lot of people know about that kind of thing but they are not going to this thread.

As for the social implications of crypto, e.g. poverty etc.
It will be one of the biggest changes in society ever. Each person can decide which currency to use, according to what they support or want, and the result will be a very different world. Distribution of currency will ultimately be determined by a better consensus than exists in finance today.

As for bithire.
Awesome website. Bright project. But looks like a total scam. Someone with money should start an exact clone of the project, but built around an unpremined coin, they could make money putting ads on the site or something, and they would make a fortune. The person who ran this scam, if it was a scam, has numerous idiosyncrasies that should make him easy to find.

Thanks Smiley Shame about Bithire, although as you say depends on capital investors whether its a go or not, most things dont matter if they were a scam to start off with, the good thing about scams is the scammers go as soon as they have made a bit of cash leavng genuine users and people behind to pick up the baton Smiley

Hope things change for this, I would be interested in creating a centralised unit to pick up and continue "scam" projects and help protect investors money, would need to be a large not for profit concern initially.

Hmmmm.....

On 1st March I downloaded Boilver wallet, and on 1st March I downloaded the Bithire wallet...

On 3rd March 0.15 BTC (the entire contents of my Bitcoin wallet on that machine) was sent to the following an address 1xoz..... so stolen then Sad

So either the Boliver wallet or Bithire wallet has installed malware or has a back door? Anyone else reported coins stolen?

Thanks

I have installed Bolivar wallet this week and I have not been stolen.

It would be fine to have more people commenting on this.

I think that what is happening is;

- people are sitting as nodes on networks and checking to see what IP addresses are connecting to coins
- then they are looking for vulnerabilities in a persons operating system, and then running remote scripts to get access to bitcoin directory
- looking for unencrypted wallets

So with that in mind, it seems that it is a vulnerability if you have a hot wallets/staking wallets if you do not have enough security protection.

Just thought I would bring it up, it was after i downloaded and synched BitHire and Bolivar, although a compromise could have happened at any time, it was just the transaction date was 03/03 to an unknown address.

Everyone should therefore encrypt wallets, store most coins in an offline (cold) store, and only move to a hot wallet on an isolated secure machine when in use.

Learning every day!

On 1st March i downloaded Bolivarcoin and Bithire.

On 03/03/2016 at 21:12 0.15 BTC was stolen (total BTC contents of that wallet - unencrypted) and sent to an address beginning 1xoz.......

Has anyone else reported Bitcoin stolen from wallets recently, or at that particular time?

Major concern over trusting any new digital currency now after that, anyone have any information on how this is done, what the software is that it used, its only $50 so no big deal, but if that was $50 from 1,000 people thats alot of money.

Time to leave Crypto world for good??

A lot of people get hacked and coins stolen.

You should tell anyone starting with any coins to look at
https://bitcoin.org/en/secure-your-wallet
http://bitcoinsecurity101.com/getting-started/
https://www.coinbase.com/security?locale=en
etc

A person can get robbed in any milieu. You can walk down the street and a person can take your cash or you can be at home and a person can steal your bitcoin.

Be careful as best you can.

Wish curses on harmful people and be happy.

Thanks.

Saw a message from greenmo about this being revitalised so have popped back to say hello.

I have the new wallet going on a mac and have 12 nodes connected already! Impressive! Now downloading about a year's worth of blockchain since the last time I fired up BritCoin!

I'll keep my ear close to the ground on this one again as I've always had a bit of a soft spot for it. Look forward to seeing if it's third time lucky!! Will happily consider helping where I can - unfortunately my talents lie in neither coding or marketing though...!

Cheers and all the best.

Looks promising.

Let's get a decent website up with an email subscriber list and establish a 3.0 thread.

Venezuela
Country in South America
Venezuela is a country on the northern coast of South America with diverse natural attractions. Along its Caribbean coast are tropical resort islands including Isla de Margarita and the Los Roques archipelago. To the northwest are the Andes Mountains and the colonial town of Mérida, a base for hiking Sierra Nevada National Park. Caracas, the capital, is to the north.

Currency: Venezuelan bolívar

Simón Bolívar
Former President of Bolivia
Simón Bolívar, in full Simón José Antonio de la Santísima Trinidad Bolívar y Palacios, was a Venezuelan military and political leader who played an instrumental role in the establishment of Venezuela

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sim%C3%B3n_Bol%C3%ADvar

There are other coins for other countries in South America

Brazil   GUA GuaranyCoin  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=900091.0
Peru    NKA  IncaKoin  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=933851.540

I dont know other South American coins...

Is there a development roadmap for this coin, would be a good idea if there was something Smiley

I am 100% behind Bolivar. Think it's a great idea. I've been buying on Cryptopia, have around 25,000 now, will invest more money as and when I have it Smiley

You should get as many Venezuelans on board as possible, this is a great thing Smiley

1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Britcoin 2.0 Under New Management: Cryptocurrency For The Masses on: March 04, 2016, 07:36:46 PM
Hi all, looks like theres been some positive developments.

I am going to archive the 2.0 and the current blockchain checkpoint and move to the 3.0.

I've been emailing Wil about setting up a foundation and recommendations for an increased fixed POS with a donation strategy to the foundation from existing stake, we should set up a slack and get an official foundation, I am happy to contribute.

I dont mind project managing etc, hopefully Wil has kept you all up to date with my points of view and how we should proceed Smiley

I'm not from Venezuela but I have some friends from there and

I can NOT confirm if it's being set-up or targeted politically so that someone can get hold of all the oil reserves,

but what I can confirm is they suffer the same elite political cockroaches we suffer everywhere.

Their strategy is always the same in every country: Divide the people and steal as much as you can.  Wink

Governments are unintelligent, they are one step away from global disorder;

- money only works if people have enough to give them hope
- laws only work if people have money
- an economy only works if laws work (see rule 1)

Any government that thinks by enforcing financial poverty on people will see alot of unrest until there are more law breakers than law supporters, governments have lost control.

The problem in todays climate is in order for a country to make a profit they have to reduce costs, reducing costs means reducing labour, this means unemployment, but these cheaper goods are better for export which means other countries will have greater unemployment and poverty if they cannot match the same cost reduction. Money is being used as a weapon rather than a tool for good.

Good to know people in Venezuela are involved.

Advice

My advice would be to get as many people involved from Venezuela with this coin as possible, the reason being in legal terms there must be so many people involved with the currency in the native country if the coin is indicated to be of or from a country, e.g. if Spaincoin wasn't created by a team that at least involved a number of people that live in Spain, the coin could be legally enforced to be taken offline.

I will hopefully set up a full node here in the UK, i have also bought 10,000 to hold, so that there is potential to distribute to poor people in the country should there be a move towards financial investment into Bolivarcoin by government and business.

Keep up the good work. Remember the one thing that they cant steal is knowledge, it's by far the most important commodity Smiley

Purchased! Thanks.

Wow! Venezuela has the highest amount of oil reserves in the world, yet has some of the poorest people.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_reserves_in_Venezuela

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Venezuela

I wonder if the country is being set-up or targeted politically so that someone can get hold of all the oil reserves? Are we looking at Vietnam 2.0? How can such an oil rich country be in such poverty - does not make sense.

What's the story behind Bolivarcoin?
