1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pay a beer with BitcoinCash on: August 02, 2017, 10:01:26 PM
With BCC will be possible buy cheap things without paying unpropotionated fees? When the 8mb will became no enough will be possible to increase it?
I'm not convinced with Segwit even segwit2x because I think is just a temporal solution.
Bitcoin cash is just an altcoin, and while the future is uncertain one thing we know for sure, you will not be able to do much with it at the beginning because merchants at the moment accept bitcoin and only bitcoin, so bitcoin cash will need to gain market share there, something that is difficult with bitcoin being so dominant.

I don't think BCC will even get a chance. I believe the moment it sets ground on public domain the coin will tank because of all the people exchanging it for BTC/LTC/ETH to make a quick buck while it remains relatively high.
I believe the same and want the same, I do not want to have to explain to my friends and my family why there are two coins calling themselves bitcoin, but we are not going to know the answer to our questions and doubts until the next days or weeks pass by.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Choose altcoin for trading on: August 02, 2017, 09:58:59 PM
The amount of altcoin is overwhelming,
So I am confused to choose a good altcoin for trading, Can you please mention any coin whose price is stable, So I can include it in my trading list,
I once had a bitter experience, I bought altcoin, but in the end it did not sell And lost from the market,  For example digieuro

I think the failures that you have experienced will give you much experience, it is not a bad thing. I think altcoin is getting a lot of influence from bitcoin, its value does not change according to any rule, so do not buy it now, wait when everything is stable.
Failing does not automatically make you better in anything, you need to do a lot of soul searching and understand why you failed on the first place, if you do not, then the most likely scenario is that you fail again and again since you would not have learned your lesson.
1383  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: August 02, 2017, 09:49:42 PM
Honestly I believe bitcoin is better since one you don't use your credit card so you don't loose you needed cash but instead your cash that you could easily earn back from mining. Plus, it's open to all ages unlike credit cards.
Crypto currencies are better than regular currencies because they are free from inflation especially bitcoin.More over, they have a tendency of growing with increase in demand for them whereas regular currency just remains the same with no such big difference.Investors in crypto currencies need not gt feared about their investment being devalued as it was earlier done in india by devaluing high value notes.
Your first statement is not correct, bitcoin is not free of inflation, every single day more coins are added to the system by the miners, yes there is a cap of 21 million coins but not all those coins have been mined yet and every time a new coin is mined there is small amount of inflation in bitcoin.
1384  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin currently massively undervalued? on: August 02, 2017, 09:35:14 PM
Correct value for bitcoin at this moment is 100k dollars.

It IS undervalued, extremely undervalued, due to ego-fighting between weak effeminated freaks.

I don't think so Wink It's more: The current use of Bitcoin does not even justify $1000, if you apply the Quantity Theory of Money, like this forum member did (his estimation for a fair price is about $200-250).

But I think all users that bought Bitcoins for more than - let's say - $500 are speculating that in the future there will be a much larger user base. But $100K would be already a order of magnitude where we would need a large portion of the world population using Bitcoin regularly. And I think it's not at all sure that that will occur.

We can do the math: If for the current user base (5-10 million) $250 is the "fair price" according to the QTM, then for a fair $2500 price we would need 50 to 100 million users (currently impossible without advanced scaling features or a massive block size increase to 10 MB or more), and for $100000, 2 to 4 billion.

Things are never so simple, we know that if we think of the actual uses of bitcoin at the moment, then we can come to the conclusion bitcoin is overvalued, but if we think of the possible uses that bitcoin may have in the future then bitcoin is undervalued.
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: World's Biggest AIR-DROP in History happening! on: August 02, 2017, 09:32:08 PM
It seems big because many exchanges are not accepting deposits at the moment so only those that got their BCH in an exchange are able to trade them, as soon that changes you can be sure the price of BCH is going to drop like a rock since everyone is waiting for the opportunity to dump BCH.
1386  Economy / Economics / Re: Is trading just educated guessing? on: August 02, 2017, 09:29:32 PM
Can you really be sure you will profit unless you have insider info?
In a way trading is just educated guessing, we have no way to be 100% sure that our predictions are going to be right but with the use of tools and model we are able to predict more or less what is going to happen in a market with a certain degree of accuracy.
1387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to learn how to trade on: August 02, 2017, 09:26:35 PM
In trading need have deep analysis over the bitcoin and try to learn from trading related articles, tutorials, etc. Overall, it's all about experience, good resources to learn Bitcoin trading and seed money.
People do not have patience to develop enough skill for trading and they want to start trading immediately once they decide to do. But they prove themselves right as they get chances to learn while trading. Probably it must be the right way of learning as trading requires practical knowledge rather than just reading from books or just theoretical view from video tutorials.
What it happens is that people lack the discipline necessary in order to fully develop their skills, as soon as they learn something about trading they want to test this knowledge immediately bus since they do not have the whole picture about what it is happening then they lose their money.
1388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: August 01, 2017, 09:03:24 PM
Transaction costs are rising and expensive, I think the future coin is a small fee, a year ago we can send bitcoin for free, but currently it takes at least $ 2.5 to send bitcoin.
The days of free transactions are over and we need to accept it, those days are never going to come back but with segwit we may regain some sense of sanity on the subject of fees once again, but make no mistake the issue of fees is always going to be with bitcoin.
1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just invested in DIMCOIN ICO on: August 01, 2017, 09:00:47 PM
I just invested in DIMCOIN ICO and I think I have made the best investment move.
I think Dimcoin is one of those coins that have the potential to go very high the only thing it needs is time, probably in the next year or two we are going to see it in the top 50 or something like that, but if it becomes a huge hit and people get excited about the project it could climb even higher.
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have $10 to invest? on: August 01, 2017, 08:56:42 PM
My question is if you have $10 which altcoin will you prefer to invest and why?

I think i can invest only $10 per month and i never invested in altcoins so far.

If possible try to get more money to invest, fees can eat up your capital especially one as low as that, so if I were you, instead of using those 10 dollars to invest I will take my time to raise more money and while doing so, learn the most I can about trading that way when you have an higher capital you will be ready to trade as well since you will have the necessary knowledge to make an informed decision about how to trade.
1391  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to invest my Bitcoins? on: August 01, 2017, 08:52:58 PM
You can invest in Yobit, and Bittrex. Also you can invest in some opening ICOs. Of course, you need to choose the right ICO or the ICO that you think have a potential to grow. Also by some altcoins. Invest your money in different coins. You can invest in ethereum, litecoin, and other shitcoins.

Never invest in YoBit
They scam me for $150 admin read my support request but do not back money which I deposited
What a terrible thing, personally I have never used YoBit, but I have used several exchanges and most of them were very professional and were very open about discussing any topic, the only thing that I would like is that the support was faster but I guess not every exchange has the same treatment to their customers.
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which are promising projects in development? on: August 01, 2017, 08:50:05 PM
For me, every projects are promising itself. But it needs people supports and also from the investors. It depends on the team running that project, the supporters and the investors.
Execution is key and that is on the shoulders of the developers so that is why when you are researching an ICO and deciding if you are going to invest in it, the first thing you need to do is to investigate the devs and see if they are capable of carrying such a project to the end.
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more bitcoin or wait for August 1st? on: August 01, 2017, 08:47:30 PM
Be careful buying before august first i already converted BTC to some really promising and very low value alt coins some are waves , LBTC and NEM/Xem . If august first hard fork happens there is a possibility of  split of chain Like ETC and ETH.

Indeed. As of the moment this is the wisest thing to do.
I already converted my bitcoin to eth,ltc and waves so what ever happens after August 1 my coins are still safe.
Then I will wait the drama to be over then get back to business.
August 1 has not ended but it seems that it has been an uneventful day, but we still do not know what it is going to be the fate of bitcoin cash, to be honest things are not going fine, they have failed to create a block yet and it seems some bugs are appearing in the code, this may cause that people lose confidence in that coin.
1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does my portfolio looks good? on: August 01, 2017, 08:44:24 PM
The market is going down. It is good to invest in. I sold all my DASH and bought Waves and Shift. No. I don't buy XRP, I don't trust them.
Updated portfolio:
25 BTC
230 ETH
500 LTC
500 XMR
1000 ETC
1000 ANS
1000 BLOCK
25000 STORJ
10000 WAVES
35000 SHIFT
Wow you have invested very wisely. I think if you invest long term from 5-10 years then surely you can become billionaire in the future. I hope you stay calm when investing in this altcoin because it's really great
Let’s not exaggerate, he is doing good an it is very likely the OP is going to do even better in the future thanks to his investments but he is not going to become a billionaire with his investments, he could earn millions or even tens of millions in the best case scenario.
1395  Economy / Speculation / Re: I will not Die Untill Bitcoin will reach at Least 50K on: August 01, 2017, 08:39:12 PM
If you take the futurist position that world economy growth rate will increase dramatically over the next few decades, then it makes it simpler for Bitcoin to reach $50k.

What I'm interested to see is if multiple cryptocurrencies will hold the bulk of the market cap in 5-10 years (like ETH + BTC today).
There are high possibilities that a few multiple crypto currencies will hold the entire market as we see today and we can expect the best coin with the best vision in the top ten to twenty will be holding all the valuation and we might see some projects dying off in the mean time, accept from bitcoin there is no guarantee for the rest of the coins, that is my personal opinion.
That is already happening today, the top 10 coins hold most of the market cap, in fact the top 3 coins bitcoin, ethereum and ripple hold most of the market cap, however I do not see this as a problem, if a project is good then it will eventually get the money needed to survive even if the dominance of the top 3 coins never goes away.

If you are just learning about trading. You should not put eggs in 1 basket. Suppose you have a capital of $ 100. From 100 $ you divide into 2 coins. And you should look at the ltc and eth they are a very stable market today.
This is a good advice, but one that I think is even better is that if you are feeling overwhelmed about the market then the only thing I can say is that you are not ready to trade and that you must wait until you read more and accumulate more experience before your first trade.
1398  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: July 31, 2017, 02:55:44 AM
We definitely need both. The cryptocurrencies which has limited supply will increase in value with time as demand will increase. This will make them ideal for investment rather than a currency of everday transactions. The cryptocurrencies  which has unlimited supply or less demand aren't that lucrative than their fiat counterpart. Both fiat and cryptocurrencies are needed atleast for now because of various reasons already been listed in this thread. Cryptocurrencies are still in their starting phase. Lets see what future has to bring.
The limited supply was put there not to make cryptos great investments, it was put there so crypto cannot be printed forever at whatever rate someone decides, that is what it is killing fiat and we have seen we cannot trust in humans to fulfill their promises about not printing more currency, politicians are known for lying over and over again.
1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum a threat to BTC??? on: July 31, 2017, 02:53:34 AM
You shouldn't see it as a threat from the price perspective because It means nothing, you should however see how much Its mentioned on the news, how many shops (local and online) use it, how many ATMs does it have, how active the development is etc. Bitcoin wins in all these things beside Ethereum is not meant to be an electronic cash but bitcoin is.
Yes those are the facts that support bitcoins in our wolrd. Eth is just starting to bloom, compared to btc which are way too far from it. It is the most powerful crypto currency, it can be exchange into a real money using banks. While on the other hand eth cannot be converted into cash using banks, you will exchange it into a different medium. Which is less reliable than btc can give.
This is the most important point, ETH can be almost anything and that makes it a great tool, but bitcoin is only one thing a currency and in that aspect is is impossible for ETH to ever beat bitcoin, there is simply no comparison, the amount of people using bitcoin to buy things online or in physical stores probably outperforms all the alts put together.
