13822  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] The 2017 Bitcoin Penny™ Mini Physicals (DIY + Fundable) on: April 13, 2017, 11:14:23 PM
Thanks for the reply, miffman. Yes, I wasn't including Og's 1g collectible tokens. I meant something that would have a privkey and hold BTC.

Regards,
Me

That almost sounds like a challenge. Smiley
13823  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Any silver collectors? on: April 13, 2017, 08:31:12 PM
I guess its this one Hhampuz ?
From this page

Google picture search helped me.

That's one of them klaaas, I also checked sdbullion but they seem to be out of stock on most products Sad. I wanna collect them all Cheesy

I've got the entire original SBSS series.  My favorite coin set.  I stopped collecting them after they got cartoonish (there was quite a bit of drama involved too, which is an interesting read on partnerships if you look into it).

Here's the original Debt and Death coin...

or even the first remake was nice...

Google 'Bitcoin child-pays-for-parent' and do some reading.
13825  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Why so few immersion cooled custom builds/Mods? on: April 13, 2017, 06:33:23 AM
This guy seemed to have good results:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo0g2dKPAcQ

He had interesting reasoning for why he hasn't done immersion cooling on an S9...

Quote
you cannot adjust the Heat fan speed to 0 because of this the firmware will detect that the fans are not operating at the proper RPM and it will go into automatic shutdown the fans can not move at the proper RPM when they are placed inside of mineral oil due to the friction

Seems like it would be easy enough to get around, but another interesting drawback to the auto-tune firmware Bitmain introduced.
13826  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Why so few immersion cooled custom builds/Mods? on: April 13, 2017, 12:38:18 AM
I'd like to see more immersion cooled mining setups as well...  Having the benefit of learning from someone else's mistakes might give me the confidence to try it myself.
13827  Other / Meta / Re: How i add photo to post on the forum ? on: April 12, 2017, 11:21:53 PM
What I did is I am uploading my photos in imgur.com. After uploading I hit Get Share Links > BBCode(Forums). Then the format will be like this:

NOTE: Both JPG and PNG works.
I hope that clarifies your question. If you have some more which is related in this forum. Feel free to ask.

You can also use sizing commands like this:

Code:
[img width=250]https://talkimg.com/images/2024/01/11/3u6S9.jpeg[/img]

Or make the image clickable like this:

Code:
[url=https://nastyfans.org][img width=250]https://talkimg.com/images/2024/01/11/3u6S9.jpeg[/img][/url]

Also be aware that this website caches images, which has a couple of effects.  Most relevant for this thread would be if you try to post an image that is too large and the image doesn't get entirely downloaded in a set period of time, it will not display.  Try to keep your images constrained to a couple hundred kb to avoid this issue.
13828  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] bitpic - Metal Bitcoin Picture Wallets on: April 12, 2017, 11:10:46 PM

13830  Economy / Services / Re: LEGENDARY ESCROW SERVICE (More than 19K BTC transferred) on: April 12, 2017, 07:38:59 PM
Be careful of malicious links.  Don't ever trust a link or an address sent to you from a seller!

Example or a scammer using a phishing link to give an incorrect deposit address:

13831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why is bitmain selling its new gear at crazy low prices? on: April 12, 2017, 04:18:20 PM
  • Kill off manufacturer competition
  • Get more users into LTC to boost price and increase the value of their holdings
  • Block segwit
  • Good PR
  • Huge profit margin on L3+ units
  • Hedge against BTC business line
  • New revenue source
  • Open up new partnerships and service opportunities
13832  Economy / Securities / Re: NastyFans: The Bitcoin Enthusiast Fan Club (est. 2012) on: April 11, 2017, 09:03:01 PM
It's good to know that the damage of the hack was minimal.  It appears that someone has a vendetta against Nastyfans as there are a lot easier targets than the Nastyfans site that actually have BTC in hot wallets unlike you guys.

I should stress that the NastyFans site wasn't hacked.  It was a 3rd party server hosted by a fellow fan.  Honestly, 3rd party sites should never be trusted with your personal data anyway.  I have faith that nonnakip has NastyFans.org locked down to the point where phishing attacks on users to get them to give up their password is probably the closest we'll ever come to a security breech.

I do urge everyone to log into their accounts to make sure that none of your addresses have been changed.  While I do not believe any user login data outside of the 2 accounts mentioned above was phished, it's never a bad idea to check for yourself.
13833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: April 11, 2017, 04:50:26 PM
I grabbed one.  Surely this should be relocated to the altcoin mining section though.  Wink
13834  Economy / Securities / Re: NastyFans: The Bitcoin Enthusiast Fan Club (est. 2012) on: April 11, 2017, 03:30:26 PM
THE HACK:
On April 2nd, the 3rd party analyzer run by naypalm and linked from analyzer.nastyfans.org was compromised.  A phishing site was injected into the index.html file and anyone who visited the analyzer would then view a malicious clone of the NastyFans login page.  Any attempt to login would result in the username/password being emailed to a gmail account.  We have learned that 2 users were effected by this hack and while no damage occurred, these two users have had their username/password data stolen and they should immediately change any shared passwords on other sites.

The effected users are:
nastyju
doamader

Please be aware of what sites you visit and if something appears out of place, always better to be safe than sorry.  No 3rd party site should ever be given your NastyFans password or have a reason to ask.

LITECOIN MINING:
I've purchased a new L3+ miner from Bitmain, which will be our first scrypt asic miner!
13835  Other / Archival / Re: Calling all Nastypenny Coin owners on: April 11, 2017, 04:58:50 AM
I see enough interest to do this with the 2017 serie penny.
It would be great if BitcoinPenny and OG makes this happen.

If there would be another run of these coins what if people paid extras to ognasty and he included it when loading them? That seems like to most fair way to go about it, as well as the safest Smiley.

That'd definitely be something I'd be interested in!

yeah , doing it with killyou wouldn't be fun as we will need escrow to hold the funds

Og is cool , he could call it a raffle. make 16 pennies this time? or 20 (4 dont get in )

I don't even think we need to do a raffle, just randomize it (the raffle doesn't really make sense since nobody knows who wins, I.e it's random). So that would make it possible to be more than 16. 17 would be cool since it's 2017 and all..

It would need to be a raffle of some sort, otherwise I could know who got which coin and could play favorites.  I didn't get a roll and they sold out though, so...
13836  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: NastyMining Green Energy Project on: April 11, 2017, 04:48:38 AM
It will be very interesting which miner you'll choose for that since there are baikal miners in market and also bitmain created new altcoin miner, won't they be better than ltc asic miner or are they only for dash? sorry don't know. Also will there be hashrate selling from your side?

I'm currently awaiting Bitmain to put the L3 on sale, but if or when that will happen is anyone's guess.  We have no plans to sell hashrate, we use it to support p2pool.

Edit:  Bitmain released an L3+ this morning, and I managed to purchase one for this operation.
13837  Other / Archival / Re: . on: April 11, 2017, 02:25:03 AM
These look sweet, I'm guessing they are actually valid postage as well?

They say $0.41 on them.  Smiley  Still enough postage to mail a postcard.
13838  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [GOODBYE AUCTION] FINAL FINAL AUCTION - 25% TO CHARITY on: April 10, 2017, 11:56:31 PM
I'm interested to read the announcement and hear why you're closing shop.
13839  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Im looking to mine a bit would a raspberry pi rig give a decent amount of money. on: April 10, 2017, 11:53:14 PM
You will have fun and learn a lot, but you won't make any money with that setup.
13840  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: NastyMining Green Energy Project on: April 10, 2017, 09:42:13 PM
have you to pay goverment for wind electricity in USA? Will you consider altcoin mining in this project?

In the USA the government pays us to install alternative energy solutions.

We do currently mine NMC alongside BTC.  If I were to stop generating vanity addresses, I imagine I would use those rigs to mine ETH.  I've also been looking into purchasing an LTC asic miner to begin supporting Litecoin and it is quite possible that will happen soon.
