13821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you explain Bitcoin or crypto to complete newcomer on: October 28, 2017, 08:12:47 AM
This is the best website for the newcomers https://bitcoin.org/en/ everything that you want to explain from what bitcoin is and on how they are going to choose their wallets. But still there are a lot of things that a newcomer must learn but don't just spoonfeed them. In the latter part of their journey, they will know the other things that they must know. There are also a lot of videos on youtube, where you can search like bitcoin for beginners.
13822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: are bounty and signature campaigns successful? on: October 28, 2017, 08:05:31 AM
a lot of focus on this forum has been launching signature and bounty campaigns. does merely conducting the process work? or are there specific strategies that you need to do in order to gain more success?.

Yes it do really works, most of the signature campaigns that are running for a long time are successful with their business. As the visibility of their signature and website has been published through this forum and this is the main forum of bitcoin and also with alt coins so a lot of people has been viewing their ads when it has been wore by their participants. Most of the ones that are becoming successful, those that are running for a long time.
13823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoin to invest under 1$ (2017) which and why? on: October 28, 2017, 07:44:54 AM
Good list and I've got two choice so far and those are Digibyte and SIACOIN. If you did know what happened to DGB they have won the CITI award on July and this coin isn't just a pump and dump coin because they've got a long term plans for developing the alt coin. With Siacoin, it is also the same so for those people that still doesn't have it and if you are still looking for altcoin to purchase go for it.
13824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John Mcafee to release his own token - McafeeCoin on: October 27, 2017, 11:40:22 PM
I don't think McAfee is the owner of that McAfeecoin and also the the youtube OP has included to the first post isn't about McAfee coin, it's about "How To Uninstall McAfee Antivirus" and it's a comedy video that has a lot of gals that surrounds him. Maybe Op is a supporter of this McAfee coin, it's probably a McAfee inspired coin.

A lot of you people replying don't seem to realize that this has literally mothing to do with the antivirus software McAfee.
John Mcafee sold his stake in his company years ago and isn't a part of it anymore.

If you check out their website, there's no mention of this having anything to do with the Mcafee antivirus.
Yeah right you did saw it too but I didn't know about his not with his own company anymore.
13825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: myetherwallet on: October 27, 2017, 11:25:06 PM
There is something wrong I guess with coinbase, they must release your transaction. I have read some the problems before and the only way to solve this is to ask the support of coinbase and let them know on what's happening to your ETH. And in able to help us too you should put the TXID so that we can see if that's really in the etherscan. But I have some doubts with this,

When I signed up for metamask I did it with my current address.  Somehow, a new wallet has been generated that I never was given the code for, but there's nothing in it.
13826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: October 27, 2017, 11:10:52 PM
I am very dissapointed with Cavaliers last night. They weren't able to win a match against Brooklyn who had troubles with non playing of probably the first star, D'Angelo Russell... This shows us that there are not already won matches this season.
Don't get disappointed, did bet on that game? And if yes, how much? It's still just a season kicker though others may think the same as me but for most of the teams when they have a good start,  the whole season will be good for them too. Too bad for those people that got disappointed by Cavaliers and I didn't bet for this game because the odds are quite high for my team choice so I don't want to take the risk for it.

Actually, I did. But, don't worry it's a low bet. I am just not sure how did they manage to lose from, to be honest, not that strong opponent such as Brooklyn.

I thought you have bet a big amount but that's good for you. Just accept it man, not all the tier teams will be always at the top there will be the time will come that there are some instances that they will lose. But don't worry about it, they are learning from their losses and there are so many games to come that we should be excited for and with this lose we just have to move on and focus with the next fights.
There's always time to recover that loses, if we do martingale in dice why not try it in sports betting, I guess putting your money in the cavaliers again will give you a chance to win because good team always bounce back after a disappointing loss. They will be facing the Pelicans next game, I think that is a good match, Pelicans are a good team so the point spread might be low.

No I won't do martingale and this season is full of very attractive odds and I like to bet against the odds or against the crowd. I have seen CarlesPuyol, is doing to bet against the crowd and it's look very effective to him. Martingale is quite old now and it's better to stop this strategy if you don't want to lose a lot of money. If you are a gambler, you'll bet depending on the odds but if you are a Cavs fan you'll definitely bet with them.
13827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Longest time for bitcoin to enter your wallet? on: October 27, 2017, 10:55:18 PM
I just started receiving $10 worth of btc in my android wallet. The process so far has been over 45 minutes. What is the longest wait you have personally experienced?

How much did you paid for the miners fee to receive that $10 worth of bitcoin? The fastest of my transaction only took 2-3 minutes before and the fees was just a regular priority that must took 1hr+ before it gets confirmed but maybe by that time I was just lucky enough. The longest time for my transaction to get confirmed is 24 hours, imagine I waited for a day to receive that amount but the twist there is by that time I'm not in a hurry.

13829  Economy / Economics / Re: The panic seller irony on: October 27, 2017, 10:29:11 PM
The panic selling trend may also be explainable by investor who invest beyond a sustainable means. Having a reserve of savings can help you wait out the dips in bit coin price.
Explainable in a way that many wants to chase their profit and they don't want to lose more. This has been happening all the time, even the old time bitcoiners are still feeling this way include me to those people that are still panicking. Yea, those people that has savings will be having a good and right timing to buy some more when the price of bitcoin went to a dip and during that time, just buy.

Don't comment anymore after this post.
13831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Website mining Bitcoin without permission? on: October 27, 2017, 09:51:27 PM
Is this a criminal ?, I am a customer of pirate bay. I downloaded some apps and movies there.
after this I will leave it. thank you for caring.
Not really a criminal offense but they are using your CPU for mining monero and if you have a lot of loads of applications that are open on your window at the same time, you are the one that will be affected of it. They are with CPU mining as they are earning more there. When I'm visiting a website, I keep on checking the process and usage of my CPU and if goes crazy at 75%-100% I'm shutting down the browser and will restart my PC.
I think it's a criminal offense mainly because it is a pirate site. The site is illegal to operate in the first place but if the site is a legal site, there is no problem with that

We are talking about the mining thing, we know that they are a pirate site and yes it's a criminal offense and it has been suited by the authorities even before. I just don't know if the owner was freed or there are people who are working under him. But with the usage of their visitors CPU usage I think that's not a criminal offense but if we talk about the whole site, yes they are operating as illegal.
13832  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin possibly hit usd10,000 by end of year? on: October 27, 2017, 09:38:24 PM
Am I being overly optimistic? The trajectory is looking very real!

You are very optimistic but bitcoin hitting $10,000 on this year isn't going to happen, chances of happening it is quite low for now. This can happen but maybe next year on 2019, let's see on how the market moves about the rumors about amazon's acceptance of bitcoin. And if that happens for sure many will be starting to use and buy more bitcoin because shopping with them is now even more convenient, no need to use credit card details.
13833  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A university in Vietnam receives tuition fees in bitcoin on: October 27, 2017, 09:26:25 PM
That's a very good news for Vietnam that their very own FPT University is now going to adopt bitcoin. But why they are going to apply it first with foreign students, so they are still in the phase of trying it with other students but no matter what it is this news is a good initiative for their school payment system that bitcoin will be now used. I'm sure that many of the schools in Vietnam will follow this initiative.
13834  Economy / Services / Re: >>Get $0.05 in Bitcoin for FREE - Simple Signup<< on: October 27, 2017, 01:05:29 PM
This thread was created on October 13, 2016 and I doubt it that this is still an active offer. I don't understand why there are people that keep on bumping this thread, this thread should be closed and I don't know if these people are really reading the thread. There's no reply from macaron so that's already an answer to all of you.

13835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: October 27, 2017, 11:25:15 AM
This has been rumors even before I think it's last year but well this news just popped out recently. And if Amazon are grateful to start receiving bitcoin for the purchases of their customers they are economical since bitcoin is now on trend and a lot of mainstream news are coming out. They are doing the right thing since it is backed up by many investors and as well as big companies so they just don't want to miss it out.

13837  Economy / Services / Re: FORTUNEJACK - Earn up to 0.2BTC - NEW Signature Campaign - Weekly Payments on: October 27, 2017, 09:13:22 AM
Why are campaigners excluding junior members, i think all those hero, legends also starts from newbies.

Not all the campaigns are excluding junior members to their participation. But the thing that campaigners doesn't consider the signature space of them because there's no color and the codes that you can use are restricted. And you can read it here said by forum administrator theymos, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=484259.msg5393088#msg5393088
13838  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: October 27, 2017, 09:04:00 AM
in addition to reducing unemployment bitcoin can also be an alternative to find additional money for those who already work

A part time source of income, bitcoin can be more of that. There are a lot of professional people that are now in bitcoin and other alt coins as well. This makes them earn some decent money just for work for part time and that part time is only for trading which is not really need a lot of effort as they only need to buy when the price is low and sell it when the price pumps up to the peak.
13839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why are blocks so slow at the moment? on: October 27, 2017, 08:55:02 AM
21% increase in difficulty today, so many miners moved to shitcoin cash mining.
I see so this is the reason why some of my transactions are already stuck for hours.

The problem with BCH is that for some reason, people still think it's worth something. As long as idiots are still buying it, it will still be worth something, and the miners will jump ship when Bitcoin difficulty changes. It's no big deal, it will shift back soon(tm)

Yeah definitely you're right it has value and worth for the miners now because there are people that are keep on buying it because they can still see some good profit with it but I have some feeling that it will be fine soon.
