141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 02, 2018, 12:38:28 PM
GBYTE wallet already on Maintenance status ("27-04-18 investigating Deposit issues"). Maybe and hopefully the problem will be sorted out after this investigation. Unlike in other exchanges, the deposit issue seems to occur frequently in Cryptopia, so imo it's better to make it the last option to use for GBYTE.
Do you know how long it takes for cryptopia to fix these kind of issues ?

Looking beyond something is fine, but one must focus on something that he already has.

I have also lost my bytes in the shitty Cryptopia exchange, so I highly recommend to stay away from this one.
In my experience, if you can not verify your account in Bittrex, cryptox.pl exchange might be a good substitution for the case of Byteball.
I deposited and withdrawned coins in the one without any issues.
How did you lost your byteball in cryptopia? I've deposited byteball in that exchange but unfortunately, it doesnt show in my accout. I opened a ticket and that's why byteball is under maintenance right now.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do in this bearish market? on: May 02, 2018, 12:35:32 PM
Well, I'd still consider the price of bitcoin now bearish, it just only recovered a little from the $6000 range.
Depends on how much you bought bitcoin before. I'm good with the current price of bitcoin as I bought it earlier before $1,000 so whether it went down from $19,000 I'm still in profit.

why not add more coins to your portfolio during the bearish market
Newbies will never understand that during the bear it's storing time / buying time.

That's your case, but for most people and if you look at the bigger picture of the market. I can still consider it in a bearish state.

Newbies will learn this soon enough after they've acquired more experience in the crypto community.

For me, the best option is to invest in eth and hold it until the end of the year and not think about market failures.  Later it will recover and again there will be an increase in the price of coins.
Or you can find other undervalued coins out there and start buying them at a lower price as it has a higher chance of doubling or more in price than ETH at a shorter time.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do in this bearish market? on: May 02, 2018, 08:07:31 AM
Are we still in bearish market now?  Btc is 8500$. I think we can fix profits. And some brave people can try to short from 8500-8800)
Well, I'd still consider the price of bitcoin now bearish, it just only recovered a little from the $6000 range.

Just assess your portfolio and hold a solid coins.. These solid coins will first to recover when the time the maeket sentiment changes these solid coins will first one to recover
You could also do that but the point here is that rather than holding on to your assets, why not add more coins to your portfolio during the bearish market and don't be like any other weak-handed people that panic sells their assets as long as they see it's price dropping.

144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: April 30, 2018, 08:29:57 AM
This not true for most of the cases that bitcoin is being used. It's true that a lot of users here only see bitcoin as a chance to earn some money by making a correct and well-timed investment, but in my case, I personally used bitcoin on paying my online transactions although I do know how and when to properly use it given the circumstances of bitcoin and the market.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: why the state does not print a lot of money? on: April 30, 2018, 08:19:16 AM
The concept here is just like the supply and demand of bitcoin which is I'm sure you have an idea of. If a country prints a lot of their local currency, then their supply will sky-rocket and it will be easier for their people to have a huge amount of it so, in a result, the value of its currency will decrease. But a different result will happen if the vice-versa of this is what they will do.
146  Other / Meta / Re: why you should never consider buying BTT accounts on: April 30, 2018, 08:05:42 AM
There is no need to warn those people who are planning to buy accounts just to have the chance again of joining in bounty campaigns and earning a decent amount of money. Let them buy high ranking accounts so that they will be tagged and banned in the forum and their money that is used to buy that account be wasted for nothing. They need to learn this the hard way because they should know that it is ethically wrong in the fisrt place.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: will the worlds society now be flooded eternaly with icos? on: April 29, 2018, 06:57:43 AM
Hopefully not, because there are a lot of emerging ICOs that promotes good ideas but in the end, they are not really used in their use-case scenario. People are just jumping in and investing in those projects just to earn some few profits and joining the hype for a while. But as a result of people getting on the hype, more and more companies are starting to make their own crypto so this is likely to happen.
148  Other / Meta / Re: STOP 'Quote post'- To Everyone Who use "Quote" Most of the time on: April 29, 2018, 06:37:04 AM
but you can't stop people who quoted. except if admin or moderator make a Law. about "quote stop" you saying.
Well, if this post will get to those people who likely quote long OP like that then this will probably make them realize what they are doing is very wrong and it is really in fact annoying. Sometimes, encountering users who quote like that and you end up scrolling for a while only to find at the end that their reply is a very short one, spam or useless.   LMAO
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits? on: April 28, 2018, 04:00:37 PM
We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.
Isn't it one of the main purposes of bitcoin is decentralization? So our transaction will be free from being tracked by these third-party entities and provide privacy in our every transaction. If bitcoin users will use banks if ever they will offer bitcoin deposits, doesn't it disregards its purpose by becoming centralized?
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Am I the only one? [Cryptopia exchange] on: April 28, 2018, 03:24:01 PM
I'm not quite sure if this is the right board to post this to but if it is not, just move it to the right one (mod), Thanks.

I deposited byteball to cryptopia last night from my byteball wallet and it has been 17 hours but it still doesn't show in my balance in cryptopia. I check the status of the transaction in my byteball wallet and it is stated that it is confirmed. I also cheked in the block explorer and I can see that I used the correct address to send it in.

Am I the only one having a hard time depositing at the said exchange?

There is good news I can tell you - those are not cheaters and you will more likely get your fund at the end. But it can take time. Write a note to their support desk and they will occasionaly answer. In my case it took about month when my deposit of XMG stuck once. But still - I have been using them for years without any flaws and they have returned the stuck one.
I did contact their support and opened a ticket regarding my concern and after 1 day, they sent me their reply saying that they are fixing the issue. Right now, Byteball is under maintenance on their platform, and I am wondering how long it would take for them to fix the problem.

Did XMG also go under a maintenance when you encountered a deposit issue on your side? 1 month is very long btw.

I'll be updating this thread with regards to my issue. So other users that have the same problems will have an idea.
151  Other / Meta / Re: Where can I find new members to award with merits on: April 28, 2018, 07:33:02 AM
It's no good looking on the beginner's or discussion boards. They are all about bounty and air drops and social networking stuff. I'd like to award members that are interested in Bitcoin and reputable crypto currencies, but I've almost given up trying to find them.

Honestly, To tell you all guys it's hard for us to capture your attention from our post or thread that if it is meritable or not. As far as I did until now i'm trying to work hard to earn merit I even join merit giveaway threads in meta I did receive one that's the first best day i had when i have one. I even accept opinions from another user for I can improve my post's quality.
On the contrary, it's not that hard to capture their attention, even posting a short one will suffice as long as the content piques their interest. Thinking that you deserve some merit because you've worked hard in creating a quality post does not guarantee you of getting one if, in actuality, that other user doesn't see your post a merit worthy one.

Seems like you can post a long one and put more effort when it comes to topics that are related to merits but quite short with crypto related kinds of stuff.
152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to know when to BUY? on: April 27, 2018, 05:10:16 PM
Even if you do not check at coinmarketcap for the top undervalued coins at the moment which has a high volume and potential, you can still know what to buy if you are able to distinguish a certain coin base on its use-case. Like for an upcoming ICO, if you read their whitepaper and determine how their token will be used by the community then there's a good chance of you earning a huge profit at a much lower entry point compared to looking at one at coinmarketcap. Utility tokens are what they are called. Coins that are used right off the bat after their lunch.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOW TO STOP HACKERS TO HACK YOUR CRYPTO WALLET on: April 27, 2018, 04:52:45 PM
Another thing is that joining a lot of airdrops could pose a threat to your wallet being hacked like your ETH wallet whereas the address is always necessary for you to be eligible for the reward. Sometimes, due to the carelessness of the user, there are chances that user's eth wallet is getting hacked by other users because they accidentally entered their private key which is just plain stupid. The main point here is that, we should always be careful on our credentials to avoid these type of incidents.
154  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin volatility prevent adoption? on: April 27, 2018, 02:08:27 PM
Many people do not want volatility and deflation system, but how can bitcoin operate smoothly if these system will not apply? Bitcoin cannot move a long life operation if volatility and deflation will not apply. It is the way on how the management provide a good balance system between users and operators.
Bitcoin can move along despite the volatility and deflation being solved by stability. Only traders and investors are taking advantage of bitcoin's volatility and market manipulation is the norm in the crypto community. If bitcoin will be stabilized, it will have a high chance of getting used as a trusted medium of exchange and in a result, the demand will increase so the deflation will be solved along the way.

Lucky for me that i do able to read up recent issues towards cryptopia when it comes on depositing Gbytes into their exchange and now the tokens isnt recieved even the transaction is already completed or confirmed.Lots of bounty participants do really have problem towards this matter. For now, i have seen other way on selling those tokens without the need on transferring it into exchanges which you can directly sell it into your own wallet. Just find the btc-gbyte exchange in chat then type "sell" further informations would be given.
Have you got any idea if those user's issue has been resolved by the cryptopia team? I've also asked around on the byteball telegram channel and it seems that they are also experiencing it. Anyways, I've contacted to cryptopia team and they said they will get to it as soon as possible.

Can we use that btc-gbyte exchange even if we are only selling a small amount maybe? I thought that's only for huge transactions? How about the transaction fee?
156  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the best exchanges to trade. on: April 26, 2018, 04:16:43 PM
I am new to crypto and I want to learn how to trade but I do not know where to start. Please give me some advice on what are the best exchanges where I could learn how to trade. Your advices will be highly appreciated.  Smiley

From centralized exchanges, my favorites now are Binance, Kucoin, Bitbox and Cryptopia for small coins.
If you are looking for decentralized exchanges, you don't have much of a choice. The only two working are IDEX and Forkdelta and both are tragic. For example, IDEX is down from hours and you can't make a normal trade there. It's not the first time for them and I guess is not the last.
IMO, I will remove cryptopia from that list tho. I just recently found out that they are having issues with deposits in user's account and I can prove that to my own experience and for IDEX, they really are a tragic exchange, I also used that once and the price does not match up to the sell order you made. Although it seems that I am making bad comments to those exchange, I just don't want others to experince the same experience that I had.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: April 26, 2018, 03:54:45 PM
I sent 7.2 gbyte from Bittrex to Cryptopie today. I still have no confirmation. Does anyone know what can happen ?

I'm also experiencing this problem. I also deposited in cryptopia last night and it still doesn't show in my balance up until now.

A lot of issues like that in Cryptopia since last year. Last year I experienced that and also my friends thats why I stopped trading in Cryptopia anymore. Just wait for 24-48hours and it would show up in your balance. Just in case it wont show-up until 72 hours, better contact the Support.
I hope you're right, I will wait ut to 48 hours. This was my first time experiencing this in any exchange and its really frustrating, honestly when I first used cryptopia, I find it very convenient because the transactions there is fast and the fee are a little bit lower. So I decided to use it again this time, to my surprise that cryptopia has faced this kind of issues before and there are a lot of user who experienced it as well.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: ByteBall Signature Campaign on: April 26, 2018, 08:38:25 AM
I also haven't received my Gbyte payment for the week.
Address : RVJFZQVU5KRFAJEU2UKUEOQN4DLBACPA

Please check if all have been payed or not.
Thanks in advanced.

Edit : I see the address has got gbytes, but it is not being updated by cryptopia in the available balance. Does someone has similar problem that the balance is not showing up on exchange? I had given a direct exchange address and previous two times I received payment without any hitch. This time it shows nothing in my exchange.

I got the same problem with cryptopia, it doesn't show the last gbyte deposit, any body knows why? Or when it gets fixed?
I opened up a ticket regarding this issue.
I have got this reply from cryptopia :

"Thank you for contacting Cryptopia support.

After looking at your transaction on the block explorer I can see there is an issue. For this reason I have passed this issue on to be investigated further and resolved. Please keep this ticket open for further communication, we will keep you updated. Thank you for your patience.

Regards,
Cryptopia Support"

I think I need to submit a ticket there too, please keep me update if u get it in your wallet in there or not, thanks.

You'll surely get the same generic reply. Coz that was exactly the same reply that I got after I opened a ticket.
Let's just update one another if whoever recieve first.

Same problem here, I didn't receive gbyte in my cryptopia account, please update us if anyone of you receive gbyte.
Has any of these problems been solve by cryptopia support already? I also had this problem last night and up until now my deposit doesn't show in my cryptopia account. Please tell us if anyone had already a way to solve this case.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Should we limit members in one campaign? on: April 26, 2018, 08:16:55 AM
IMHO, I'd say we limit the number of participants on bounty campaigns like 100 per campaign and have a merit requirement for each one of them so that it will help on reducing the spam that the admins and mods are trying to eradicate. I've been to a lot of bounty campaigns and whatever I choose at first, I know that this will be worth to invest my time with but in the end, after a lot of particpants joined, I only get a little amount of tokens which is veery frustrating.
