I notice some users releasing builds with changes to protocol related code without my review. This is dangerous. If you want to optimize that aggressively you should be working on an external miner instead.
Please remove any optimization code touching protocol related functions such as Target* functions, CheckProofOfWork(), ProbablePrimeChainTest() etc.
this wouldnt be an issue if there was an official build with the current set of optimisations +1 Mr. Sunny King, If you want to avoid the fall of this special coin, please do something. This is kind of sad that random supporters are doing the work instead of you. The heart of a coin/business is a good team behind it. Take a look at Phenixcoin. It is a scam shit coin. Copy paste. But the team does everything to promote it, so it ks gaining value. Megacoin supporter bashing altcoins for being copy-paste.... Don't make me have to choke a bitch! +1000 CHECK! +1001

How's this one for innovation :
I will get people to buy Nibble , and the price will rise.
{ revolutionary?}
In the world of coins that all need a good niche.. well.. Nibble should be something you can mine in order to buy stuff for your pets! And no that is not suppose to be negative/sarcastic at all! lol I say this cause when I see the Logo of the coin I think of my kitty trying to attack it!

To add to this idea, I'd like to see some sort of "feature list" that each coin offers, almost like a comparison full of green check marks and red X's, published in the forum, or on a wiki page somewhere. Worst thing to happen, is having a bunch of alt coins offering the same features, claiming to be better than one another. that's completely petty.
I want to see innovation laid out in a chart.
Anyone with me?
i agree with this a lot!!! Too much back and forth crap.. specs should be obvious.. but at the same time there are some specs that are up in the air where people's opinion's come in to play as to the validity of a coin or whether or not it's "better" then x because of X spec that it has.. me- Personally I think fast coin is awesome! lol lot of people are instantly like.. well copy\paste\scam\premine\ blah blah blah.. like... i don't care.. my opinion shouldn't matter or make the coin better or worse though

Hey bro! and to you other guys.. somebody on cryptsy was questioning my use of your binaries.. out of curiosity and paranoia lol how many other people are using this..? anybody want to examine it.. i'm willing to take the gamble lol.. anybody found a block yet? here's my addnodes.. why are only three there? i was able to connect to 12 on the other client before using this....5-600+ for pps is awesome though [ { "addr" : "178.33.22.32:9911", "services" : "00000001", "lastsend" : 1373516814, "lastrecv" : 1373516814, "bytessent" : 63863, "bytesrecv" : 105898, "conntime" : 1373514166, "version" : 70001, "subver" : "/Satoshi:0.8.3/", "inbound" : false, "startingheight" : 10621, "banscore" : 0, "syncnode" : true }, { "addr" : "50.116.22.43:9911", "services" : "00000001", "lastsend" : 1373516814, "lastrecv" : 1373516814, "bytessent" : 33676, "bytesrecv" : 93232, "conntime" : 1373514167, "version" : 70001, "subver" : "/Satoshi:0.8.3/", "inbound" : false, "startingheight" : 10621, "banscore" : 0 }, { "addr" : "23.21.2.143:9911", "services" : "00000001", "lastsend" : 1373516814, "lastrecv" : 1373516814, "bytessent" : 75241, "bytesrecv" : 100792, "conntime" : 1373514265, "version" : 70001, "subver" : "/Satoshi:0.8.3/", "inbound" : false, "startingheight" : 10627, "banscore" : 0 } ] adding more nodes seems a good idea.. but to one of the src files? not through console.. why is syncnode true only used for one node? i feel like that little kid going Hey mr, Hey mr, Hey mr haha

Just tested the 3 new windows releases from anonppcoin, shinkicker and zalfrin. Zalfrins is the fastest but shinkickers didn't crash on exit. Heh... that's a new development. It also appears to be broken again, not pulling in new blocks as they come. Last time that was a UPNP problem. All right, here's a fixed version. Includes all dlls, shouldn't be crashing on exit, and should be following the blockchain properly. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6dwcc5p1koj86vz/release5.zipThanks for being cool! Just a quick question. I don't know how fast this is yet but is it a winner for Ivy Bridge i3 i5 i7? I have an i3 3225 I'm on a 3770k and I have seen 531pps so far !

Are awesome! with only 3 current connections on the client.. after two minutes I'm already at 295pps question if you are willing to answer.. is there a way to put more addnodes into the client without going through the console.. it seems if i put a .conf with only addnodes, the client gives me the "use listen=1" error and then opens but won't connect.. is there come file in the program files i could just add it to? and what would i open that file with to edit it... maybe something more user friendly than ecplipse? notepad?

Just tested the 3 new windows releases from anonppcoin, shinkicker and zalfrin. Zalfrins is the fastest but shinkickers didn't crash on exit. will post a .conf u are using for the updated client? I can't seem to get the update to connect and all the .conf config's ive tried have failed giving me port errors the original client i didn't need a conf though so now im really confused haha

For any noob that may be "as noob as me" since everybody assumes we all know what we're doing.. I would like you to know.. the update that was posted works.. Replacing the old files with the updated files did not work.. port error/uselisten=1 not needing a conf for the first wallet was great wish i had known.. since the updated files look like all the other qt wallet files for other coins.. was thinking maybe need to do this now k well it won't dl the blockchain.. something must be borked in my windows install.. I have gotten 16 other qt-wallets to work.. this one tells me the same thing all other wallets tell me without a qt-- listen- blah blah- needs listen=0 blah blah

I decided to see what happens if i just open the updated qt in it's extracted folder without a conf or overwriting it to the old files.. hey it works. lets try mining now... @blastbob thnx for that conf btw.. had to go scanning through the first pages of the thread.. lol and fyi to haters.. this is the only thread I have really cared to follow along with through almost 70 pages so far.. in this forum of madness.. should tell you something.. more people giving help to a noob could be for your benefit!

ok i am asking for help lol
for window-qt update.. files contained look they are for every other qt.. i don't know where to put them.. unless into the qt folder than i have to actually create a .conf to get the wallet to connect?.. unlike with the original release of the qt
|
|
|
I'm assuming with the update... I now need to create a conf for the wallet to work again? drag the files into the qt folder?

I am using google.. I live inside of the matrix usually! although this post is where the majority of the info on this subject is.. I was trying to ask which of the files those edits need to be made to.. Even if I have to get all troll and turn into a 5yr old for a bit.. I will get my questions answered.. just maybe not publicly in this thread... I like when people throw gas on my fire's though! It makes me smile! Not hard to get most people all butt hurt.. which apparently happened a bit ago.. very amusing.. i respond like a dick style troll and move on!

The amount of entitlement in this thread is too damn high!
Yup. And the bullshit like "I'm sure they banned EC2! Or it wouldn't be 'fair'!". Why is it that we finally get an updated binary and then we get even more changes immediately after ? Stop being a nooby noob and learn to compile your software like real men do, instead of blindly accepting binaries from unknown users. i'm trying to learn.. but have random questions.. and am told i'm entitled because of it.. don't ever shoot me down for trying to learn something.. i'll do bad things to ur mom and her little dog too

LoL! am I a shinkicker? I like kicker of balls and shins together!!! did he release a linux update though.. that doesn't involve need to add code to it?

Ok, so I'm probably hurting my income, but sharing some hints for optimizations: A quick'n'dirty profiling run showed that we spend very much time in memory allocations, so I am trying to eliminate some of them.
-did the headerhash mod outlined earlier
-did the time limit on Weave() from Sunny King
-removed some printf's , especially printf("MineProbablePrimeChain() : new sieve (%u/%u) ready in %uus\n", psieve->GetCandidateCount(), nMaxSieveSize, (unsigned int) (GetTimeMicros() - nStart)); from prime.cpp since it's the only call to the rather expensive GetCandidateCount
-after creating vPrimes array in prime.cpp, store vPrimes.size() in a static variably and replace all calls to it with the variable
-in prime.cpp, PrimeTableGetNextPrime and PrimeTableGetPreviousPrime: Use upper_bound/lower_bound instead of linear search: // Get next prime number of p bool PrimeTableGetNextPrime(unsigned int& p) { std::vector<unsigned int>::iterator foundelement=upper_bound(vPrimes.begin(), vPrimes.end(),p); if (foundelement!=vPrimes.end()){ p=*foundelement; return true; } return false; }
// Get previous prime number of p bool PrimeTableGetPreviousPrime(unsigned int& p) { std::vector<unsigned int>::iterator foundelement=lower_bound(vPrimes.begin(), vPrimes.end(),p); if (foundelement!=vPrimes.end()){ p=*--foundelement; return true; } return false; }
- in prime.cpp, CSieveOfEratosthenes::Weave() : Split the for loop into two for loops, one going up to nChainLength, the other one going up to 2*nChainLength Thus, you can safe the first first if+for clause in the first loop and leave away the if, and leave the if+for completely away in the second loop. Also, if (((nBiTwinSeq & 1u) == 0)) ... if (((nBiTwinSeq & 1u) == 1u))
can be substituted by
if (((nBiTwinSeq & 1u) == 0)) .... else .....
-prime.h: Removed nSieveSize and replaced all occurrences with nMaxSieveSize. Removed nSieveSize from the initializer as it's become obsolete.
-prime.h: Changed < std::vector<bool> vfCompositeCunningham1; < std::vector<bool> vfCompositeCunningham2; < std::vector<bool> vfCompositeBiTwin; --- > bool vfCompositeCunningham1[1000000]; > bool vfCompositeCunningham2[1000000]; > bool vfCompositeBiTwin[1000000]; Thus, we should save on quite a few mallocs.

Don't forget to initialize the array by adding the following below in place of the other initialization for (int i = 0; i<1000000; ++i){ vfCompositeCunningham1[i] = false; vfCompositeCunningham2[i] = false; vfCompositeBiTwin[i] = false; } I think it'd be ideal to use a 2D array with the three composite values stored sequentially in memory as single bits each
Probably should be a std::bitset datatype too
+1 Or somebody could not be a greedy dick! And at least show the noob that wants to attempt to help out ur network with more miners which files to add all this too.. or code to replace this with.. any explanation to a non coder how to implement.. Or hopefully I have found a dev in this community that is willing to have a young grasshopper!!! to the greedy people!? killurselvessry to be an ass but some of you coders are shitting on my big smile i had when i woke up today! and to think the people I am talking about... I have randomly spoken very positive about in different place in the coin community! psh!
