I can confirm that the new windows setup produces blocks Smiley from 40pps before reading this forum to 1400 and my first prime block

thanks guys ill tip a few when i re-read through and see who they need to go to once matured

Can anyone dropbox a compiled QT client? There are a good 10 or 20 people getting left out.

im using the one posted a few pages back with the sieve dropped to 1 second

Finally compiled primecoind, had to create a w7 VM and compile on that. I get 500 PPS on my FX 8350!!!!!!. I'm not a RAT like you guys, so I'll give you a primecoind compiled with the new code but with no special cflags so it should run on everyone's PC. I'm backing the VM HDD with my known setup, to compile the primecoin-qt and optimize it. If I have time I'll create several versions and post 'em.

uhh, I won't run any binary compiled by a random guy at bitcointalk, I don't expect anyone to run my binary when I post it, it's just a fallback.

Update

https://www.dropbox.com/s/vfyr1tfd3qb2dxn/primecoin0710.zip

This is a fresh pull using -O3 and mtune=corei7-avx compiling options. In other words, it is optimized for AVX instruction processors (Core i3, i5, and i7) but will run on any hardware.

XPM: AR2BpBnitqXudN67Ncuc9FfYVT8u9jNe7a if you feel inclined.

This is on my i5-2400:

I was getting about 120 PPS earlier today, so a huge improvement.

I need a virus check on these files please.

3..2...1...virus check complete  Wink

Honestly, I always recommend sandboxing 3rd-party builds, and that holds true for my own work.

Here's one built with -O3 -march=native -mfpmath=sse -static on my i5. Since it's -march, probably won't work on different processor architectures.

just booted ubuntu as well to try these out. work fine - improvements on my i7 and i3 are just as described in this thread.

I'm curious - does the getbalance command show the mined "immature" blocks?
If you pass the "" parameter to it then it will. (Yeah, I find that strange too.)

10 x quad xeon 4500-5100 pps
1 x xeon 1200-1500

Care to share any further details on the hardware? Actual processor and motherboard?

Just tested the 3 new windows releases from anonppcoin, shinkicker and zalfrin. Zalfrins is the fastest but shinkickers didn't crash on exit.

i3 3225 ivy bridge running 3 threads will this improve on previous builds that have been drop boxed? Everyone kind of came out with modified compiled QT clients at the same time. If you can customize a miner for an i3 ivy bridge (hyperthreded 3.3-3.4ghz 3mbL3cache) then I will send you 1 LTC (I'm not rich but if they go on gox that could be $15-$20).

Just contact me via PM or here and let me know--that is if you compile for an i3 ivy.

Heh... that's a new development. It also appears to be broken again, not pulling in new blocks as they come. Last time that was a UPNP problem.

You can run the QT from the folder or install it... The folder that counts is C/users/_username_/appdata/roaming/Primecoin
Thats where your wallet.dat is stored (when you're not using it get it offline on a USB stick or two just in case)

I used one of Zalfrins archives that was missing DLL's files. I just borrowed the DLL files from Shinkickers or Anonppcoin's releases. I doubt my config file is special.

All right, here's a fixed version. Includes all dlls, shouldn't be crashing on exit, and should be following the blockchain properly.  Grin
