what is the impact of negative news that the world has on alt coin today
very influential or not at all
because I see a lot of coins that experienced a drastic decrease and some even more severe
then which coin can survive that can withstand the negative news attack
I want to try to invest in a condition like this it seems good to see a lot of price reductions on alt coins and I can buy it and I will hold it for the long term
but if the price slumped I would definitely have a lot of losses and I would lose a lot of money
how to overcome the current situation and what steps I should do because I want certainty
Yes it can affect the crypto market FUDs and negative news is very influential in this field of market. FUDS and bad news about altcoin is sometimes a great strategy of some big investors. They spread that FUDS to create negative thoughts about certain altcoins that they’re planning to invest and make it price go down, but these cases are few. I advice that search for an altcoin that has a good roadmap and good project and future plans, in this case even it will go red butit will surely come up again and give you profit. |

Yes i agree, we need a good news in crypto world so that everything will turn around. There are many ICO’s were launched everyday, thus we need to choose carefully our alts that we are going to hold, green market today sometimes decisive better to look for good project coins that has a good potential to come up when bitcoin will rise up. |

Well i will choose bitcoin because bitcoin never fails me. Bitcoin is the safest coin to invest in, though its down for now but in the near future i will give me profit. Ive got litecoin in the past three months but i sell it because of slow uptrend of this coin. If youre investing i long term bitcoin is the one that will surely give you something.

I've just read some information on tonchat.org, it seems that TON(telegram's blockchain) will be able to support up to 4.2 billions of different coins as Ethereum seems to be dying, will Telegram Open Network be the next blockchain which everyone do ICO on? The market of ETH is starting to recovering and i think it will go all the way to the top. ETH is dying? No it will not and never will be. However if this blockchain that your mentioning is a good ICO project then no doubt it will success. |

In my opinion after the alts reaches its bottom line price, investors start to buy in the bottom line and start to HODL their alts and sell it after it reaches the desire pump amount of coins they have. I think this is the start of buying season and expect more pump in the coming days. I guess, its only my opinion. |

What you said is all true, but how can you practice English na kahit nga sa sarili mong language ay medyo kailangan mo pa mag improve. I think to earn merits just be yourself start learning from your own language and at the same time learn english at kung handa ka na sa english forums pwde ka na lumabas sa comfort zone mo which is our local board. |

That 10% rise of bitcoin is not enough reason to celebrate, the other day 7k$ and now 7.7k$ its not a real big pump. All traders waiting atleast by the end of the year where almost all coins are in the trend most especially bitcoin the primary coin in the market will climb up the highest peak or even moon this year.

I am not that fan of ripple, yes it has a good partnership with banks and financing companies and i think this might spike the price of ripple, however it is a centralized coin which they can generate more coins as the demand goes up, that makes the ripple don’t spike that sharp. Too huge marketcap it can never reach 6$ i guess in my opinion.  |

Anything on the web are vulnerable on hackers attack. This includes tokens and coins in our online wallets. But to get rid of it take some safety measures for yourself, first, don’t ever entertain any email that contains links that maybe a phising site and also never ever let your private key known by other users or leave it unattended ( posting it in any thread or put it in wallet address box). |

I think it is a normal pump of this coin, verge is a good coin that has a great roadmap ahead in this coming months, so despite all of the FUD’s and negative news in cryptocurrency it will go up because of its ongoing projects in this coming months and aside from that it has a good community supporting this project. This are the cause why it is in the trend.

Yes this is also a factor to make sure that its a trusted ICO but there’s a lot more to check. I mostly check the project and marketing strategy of an ICO and the plans of the company (roadmap) and also the community that supports it, well im not saying that by these you can be sure about the ICO that you check but it will help you to gain ideas that will convince you to invest in it. |

Most ICO’s now are not secure and some are scam, So better to invest your 170$ in most secure coin. But your already holding a good coin which is Ethereum so better hold it because for now its price is down but it will surely upswing its price maybe by the end of the year. |

This proposal is not completely mine; it was inspired by a post of another user in the German forum. I am also not sure if it wasn't proposed here already.
I propose to allow to send less than a full sMerit point, for example half a merit, or 0.1 or 0.3 merit points.
The reason: Lower-ranked users have often very few sMerits to give away. But many of them want to participate and say "thank you" to other users even if they wouldn't send them one of their scarce full sMerit points they own. In fact, this is one of the more frequent complaints I read about the Merit system.
So if they could send less than a full merit, lower-ranked forum members could rate other users more often. This could increase the acceptance of the merit system (which I consider a very positive initiative) among this large user group, and make it less "elitist".
Alternative / simpler proposal: In addition to the "full Merit points", create a lower category of merit points - for example "silver merits" that are valid 0.1 full merit points, and full merit points would then become gold merits. That would essentially have the same effect - lower-ranked users would be allowed to participate more frequently in the merit system.
Technically, this shouldn't be a problem. The only possible disadvantage I see is that merits could, in certain circumstances, circulate slower if high-ranked members chose to give away silver merits or fractional merits instead of full merits. That could be prevented if, for example, the sending of fractional/silver merits is restricted to users that have less than e.g. 50 available sMerits.
you have a good idea but in the current system it is hard to use some decimals like 0.1 and other decimals aside from 0.5 or half merit which is implemented now, but i guess the best solution for these is to increase their smerits, example: junior: 3 smerits member: 5 smerits full member: 7 smerits and so on and so forth.. its only my idea though to be able to circulate more smerits aside from the smerits we can receive from merit sources. |

if youre a non english speaker you can post in your own local thread that you can use your own language to post something helpful in this forum, but a piece of advice just forget about this merit thing, take time to read in this forum and learn, because merit will come to you unexpectedly when you create a quality post or thread. avoid whining about merits you have nothing to do with this, i know that you know how to obtain it just give all what youve got. good luck to all of us.
