How much coin do I get if im running masternode ?
~ 6 per day. It varies a lot, but 4-6/day is safe assumption.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Solar powered CPU mining on: September 29, 2017, 06:32:11 AM
I don't see the point of a dedicated solar system for mining. Solar is just one power source and mining is just one
power load. Why not connect the solar to the house power as a hybrid system where you can use solar for everything
when it's available and commercial power when not. This would avoid imbalances in power availability and load.
A dedicated solar mining system would either have excess load leaving some mining HW without power or
too much power that can't be absorbed by the mining HW and would have to be bled off and wasted. A hybrid system\
would ensure all the mining HW is mining all the time.
Using GRID-TIE and exporting your excess electricity in to the grid just like joblo said and of course no need for battery since it will make your cost double. What you need is inverter that greater from your current need since you just can add more solar panel later (if you got small budget).
Yeah, especially that requlations in EU country can be funny ( In my country, we have to PAY to grid owner tax for sending him our produced electricity and they act as Vault of Energy, taking additional 20% of it for free - not good option :x )
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zcash shares decreased on: September 28, 2017, 01:04:39 PM
As you can see (people who mine on flypool) as they announced on their twitter account https://twitter.com/etherchain_org

In order to provide a more efficient mining experience we have increased the default share difficult on the #Zcash pool to 16000

What was default before?Does it really helps to miners?

I was having like 5k shares per hour, now i have 2.5 shares per hour on pool.

Opinion?
From your shares it looks like it was 8000 before. It won't decrease your earning (your shares 'weight' is 2x more) and will help their servers with handling shares because it won't be flooded by some hi-end farms

Any news upcomming? when do we have halving?
Well, isn't it already? I think that was the whole purpose of upgrading wallets : )
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Solar powered CPU mining on: September 28, 2017, 12:35:05 PM
Users of my local mining community calculated the profitability,
but the conclusion was that it's nearly impossible to make profit considering the price and lifetime of solar panel.
With CPU - I'd agree, but with GPU it's kind of a different story.
In my country (central EU) the cost of small solar power plant system with battery is about 3k usd (3,5kWpi). Lets say that we'll use it to power 8x1080 ti (250w ea, so 2kW rig at price of around 7k usd). Since the power of powerplant at peak is 3.5kW, I think we could assume that our rig will have 80% uptime on solar plant and rest from main cord. At our rates 1kWh is ~0.14$, so our rig will use 6.72$ daily, and our solar will 'earn us' 5.37$. It put solar ROI 558 days ROI with warranty of 10 years. Pretty good Wink

Hello. I'm new here. For how long should I wait to stack 18000 coins estimately?
15-25days.

147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 26, 2017, 11:15:09 PM
A lot of you using the Sniffdog multipool miner?

Seeing better results than single coin mining so far.

Only wondering if it's possible to tweak a little bit more. Like setting a static difficulty for the algos to get rid of any rejected hashrate. Already changed it to only mine on hashrefinery and zpool for convenience.

Sometimes seeing crazy results like over 10$/day for some algos at some times on a single 1080ti. Only, it's just for a short while before it switches to the next. Maybe the intervals of it switching algo can be tweaked. Seems to lose some time every time it connects to the pool in a new miner window.

Anyway, it's a great miner.
That value's are real for that given period of time (ofc if Your pool are able to find blocks in that period). That's one of the reasons why if You use it and got more than one card, You'll end up earning more than 2$ WTM blind people are claiming Smiley
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Lost Staking Coins after Update 1.9 on: September 26, 2017, 07:49:09 PM
Guys,

i lost all my staking coins Sad.... i did overwritten my folder in AppData with the the content from Snapshot-folder. I have only the starting coins Sad... Have anybody an idea?
Are your wallet up-to-date? (Do you have green tick in down right corner?)
If not, then maybe they'll show up when wallet fully sync, if not create shortcut from 1337 wallet icon, go to 'properties', find tab named 'Target' and after your wallet directory add '-rescan', without bracelets, then run wallet from this icon (it would take some time). Hope it'd help Smiley

I've just recently got enought coins to start MN, now i have question, I've followed guide from first page, setted MN, send money, changed .conf, but on "My Masternodes" i've got empty 'status' field, and on overall MN list my MN shows as active (1), Active  0:00:00s.
It's ok ?Smiley
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔴SOLARIS - XLR ⚒ Android, Mac ,Linux ,RaspberryPi wallets⚒ Cryptopia ⚒ NIST5 ⚒ on: September 26, 2017, 12:13:02 AM
Hi just wondering what are the benefits of using this algo compared to nist5?

The brand new XEVAN algorithm will be  replaced our older NIST5 algorithm. XEVAN was found by the Bitsend developer and has since then proven to be a stable, ASIC resistant and efficient algorithm. The Xevan hash algorithm is an unique combination from the dual X17 difficulty algorithm with an extension to 128 bits.
The new algorithm should give even more equality for CPU and GPU miners. GPU miners have less advantage making mining more energy efficient. ASIC hardware is unavailable and very hard to design due to the nature of the XEVAN algorithm.

3000 XLR bounty for the first Windows XEVAN  Nvidia miner !!

Thank you for your support!

If that's no love, I don't know what is. At current sell wall it's ~0.3BTC.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 25, 2017, 11:52:22 PM
What's everybodys thoughts on votecoin?
Been mining it, but difficulty / nethash is sky rocketing.

havent seen it yet myself ;p   i been just mining SIGT 50% hold 50% sell , tho im also mining one card on DGB, they apparently have some big news coming in the first few weeks of October, so im hoping for a rise to 600+ satoshis then ill sell my bag Cheesy

damn, we need a BSD Nvidia miner....
XLR dev set bounty on Xevan Nvidia miner since they moving to it in order to get MN working, maybe someone will do it, it's ~0.3 BTC if someone sell at sell wall.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 25, 2017, 08:24:43 PM
what are you mining people ?
Currently profit-switch mining on hashpool, but playing with payout currency (Last time I've mine for 3 days AUR on profit switch, sold it few days later and got 0.035BTC from 5 cards), you don't have to choose BTC on yiimp pools Wink
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 25, 2017, 08:00:58 PM
I found a great Article about this on steemit, it says that: the "ZOTAC GTX 1080 Ti AMP! Extreme" has the highest specs, but the "ZOTAC GTX 1080 Ti AMP! Extreme Core Edition" is more expensive and appear to be a bit less powerfull. Although it says go to 800 sol/s on equihash. My MSI Seahawk X does 712 on stock and 750 OC easy.

Does anyone have any experience with this ZOTAC models?

here is the article:

https://steemit.com/howto/@cryptoloco/nvidia-gtx-1080-ti-hashrates-per-model-list-plus-all-you-need-to-know-before-building-an-nvidia-mining-rig
I have Zotac amp extreme core edition. If you can provide software and oc settings for clains 800/s I'll check it Wink

Everyone, please try new windows wallet (1337-qt9252017.zip) from here https://github.com/xenonflux/1337/releases/download/v1.9.0.0/1337-qt9252017.zip . This should solve wallet crash with old wallet.dat.
Worked for me Smiley Thanks a lot Smiley
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Xevan ccminer hashrates on: September 25, 2017, 10:54:03 AM
Just set dev fee 1% and everyone will be happy
Even 2% would be ok if it's actually working. And dev will have stable income, not just burst of quick money.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 1337 [MANDATORY UPDATE] 41.78% APR| POS ONLY on: September 24, 2017, 11:54:53 PM
Console commands worked

1º Old wallet
I used the command
dumpprivkey <1337address>

2º New wallet
I used the command
importprivkey <1337privkey> [label]

I dont understand
The address has been transferred but my balance is at 0? some command to update the balance?

oops I forgot. I think you need to run wallet with -rescan after importing address. If on windows create a shortcut for the 1337-qt.exe and edit the properties of the shortcut and find where it says "Target" add -rescan after the path to the 1337-qt.exe
Ok, after that it run for few whiles then stop responding and crashed. Can't open it normally now, acting like before when i switch wallet.dat to old one.
It will become unresponsive but you need to let it run for awhile. -rescan scans all blocks downloaded so it can take awhile.

old wallet.dat cant be used with new wallet 1.9.0.0 - instant crash.

using importprivkey also crashes even with -rescan  Undecided
Open the old wallet and export your private keys. Then in new wallet use the importprivkey and wait awhile. It may become unresponsive but just let it sit. It took about 2 minutes for me to import a address.
Well, I can't get to GUI when rescaning, Splash shows "Reading addresses" and then crashes.
Addresses were imported to wallet by importprivkey, then wallet restarted and opened by shortcut with -rescan, now it shut down wallet when rescan finishes and leave it inaccessible for next lunch with nornall icon or shortcut :/
Hmm did your wallet crash while it was importing the private key? It sounds like the wallet.dat for new wallet got corrupted. I was able to import 1 private key then rescan and it worked but when I tried importing my wallet dump file it crashed after 1 hour and 30 minutes and now wallet crashes before GUI is shown.
Yup, got crash after importing 2nd priv key, then did restart and load another two with crash. After restart all 4 imported+one new addresses were present but with 0 balance.
I've got same issue as You when I've tried -rescan. Right now we need to wait for dev response until we're hopless I guess on Windows :x

I actually think we should have a poll and let the community vote on which is best solution for Solaris implementing masternodes. Then the dev can go from there and then start to implement them. I would like to see POS with masternodes as that is one reason why I got into Solaris because it had POS as well as POW. So I think a vote would be best and have it run for 2 weeks at least as it gives people enough time to vote.
excellent idea  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Your support, encouragement and advice have been extremely helpful but  I do not take into account voting about that . In my experience with voting is that most the people who vote only look at their own profit , not what is good for the coin. I treat our project very serious and we do everything to achieve success . Only time will tell if I made right decision.
Now I have to find out what Cryptopia standpoint is ( I am waiting to hear back from them ). I think they can review our new source and readd Solaris with new algorithm  . We dont want to change Solaris name ,thicker, logo and paying one more time listing fee. For the  swapping we will build our "swap system".  Do not worry we will give to everyone  long time  to perform the swap.

Thank you for your support !
So finally there will be change of algorithm?

That's right, Solaris will get new algorithm. Also is planned  PoW phase with masternodes and after that PoS with masternodes.

Can we get some light what algo is planned? I'm mining now, and def. going to mine till I can, but since xevan has came up in thread recently that was sad news for me, since there are no Nvidia miner cappable of doing anything with it :x
