There are already three projects doing the same or similar thing: Siacoin, Storj and Maidsafe.
I guess Filecoin investors never of heard of them or don't think much of them.
what are the advantages of filecoin over projects like siacoin? from the funding performance alone you would have to assume that filecoin is ALOT better but is it?

Good to know for the upcoming ICO. Other than that I also read that 50% of tokens will be with the public and 50% in held by the team and creators and as well for growth and function of of the platform going forward. With their experience they are not blindly just raising any amount. Their have clearly and transparently shown us where the investments are going. By doing that they have gained something priceless, and that trust.
It is not like that. Only 20% of tokens go to team and creators. 50% to public and the other 30% goes to a 24 months reserve ("downside protection"). At the end of 24 months the amount of this reserve, of course the amount unused, goes to the platform for new development. Downside Protection allows token holders to sell their tokens back to Blackmoon Crypto if the price goes down. This protects contributors from potential dumps and decline in the price of BMC token. As said before, this offer is active for 24 months from the end of the token distribution period. The company will allocate 30% of the crowdsale as a reserve for this. The buyback is set at 80% of the initial Distribution Rate. In other words, should the price go down below $0.8, Blackmoon Crypto will step in to buy back the tokens at $0.8 from anyone willing to sell. This will protect investors from potential dumps in the market.. You can read more about downside protection here: https://medium.com/blackmoon-crypto/what-is-the-downside-protection-752bec43e417 Ah I wasn't aware of that. That's a good amount of protection for big investors wanting a bit more security in their investment. So after the first 24 months these funds can be used for development how they see fit? So basically its protection for the initial setup of the platform, until it gets on its feet

I have to say I am a little surprised about the amount so far in the pre ICO, I never expected anything like that. Over $9 mil is alot! I felt there wasn't alot of hype surrounding this project but boy was i wrong More confident now in the potential success of this project having seen the response

Hey CryptoDude2727 The pre-sale is complete, but you can still participate in the ICO on September 12th 2017. https://blackmooncrypto.com/Have a look at the whitepaper as well , very good information and very clear. Have been researching. All these ICO formats are different. So basically on 9/12 Blackmoon team will release an ETH address... then it's first come first serve? Thats the idea the better the project/more hype surrounding it then the quicker it will sell out. That is if they have a hard cap, some dont have a hard cap Does anyone have any info as to the public opinion on blackmoon? is it going down well?

Wow I didn't realise the demand was so high! I had this one in my calendar so kinda waiting for today but it sounds like it's gona be difficult to get in
What is their soft/hard cap?

Hi,
is there a way how Chinese citizens still can invest in ICOs?
I mean if it is possible to buy drugs anonymously with Bitcoin, it should be doable to buy tokens as well...
If you use a coin mixer you can buy the coins and get them to a wallet. But I believe it is hard for Chinese because of the KYC policies to sell that on an exchange, right?
Are there any companies/funds/trusts that hold ICOs on behalf of Chinese clients and can liquidate them on demand? In the next step, they would transfer fiat currency back to China to pay the ICO investor.
Is there something like that? I am sure someone will come up with anything that works...
Please share your thoughts.
They could make a short trip to Hong Kong the chinese policies dont have as much(if any) influence there. That might change in the future Even so that would enable a long term investment, as for someone wanting to make weekly/monthly changes to a portfolio, hmmm not ideal

I don't see NEO recovering now in the near future as it is banned from doing ICOS, so NEO will become probably defunct sooner or later, unless China decides to relax and regulate the laws a little bit. If the blanket ban on ICOS continues, then Neo is having an early funeral.
I agree on that one. I dont think we should trust too easily that China will just clear the way for ICOs and cryptocurrency in general in the future. Its very hard for them to control and we know china do love to control things.

In the event that ICO does cease to exist what is the primary way that new projects will get going?
Will a legitimate platform with background checks/increased security etc be created for this?

Closest competitors to Blackmoon?
I like these kinds of projects, there is alot of rich people out there with their money in funds who would not dare venture into crypto. Investment funds are something they can relate to There are similar projects all coming along like DIM, LAtoken etc which i hope will bring alot of attention into this 'investment focused' area A lot of potential here
|
|
|
Any thoughts on LA token or cindicator?

Seems to be a little more patient, today eth back up with a 20% increase and maybe higher within the next 1 or 2 days i think it is the very good time to invest in ethereum right now. it is really a good project and price has come down to unbelievable point. i think ethereum has all the potential to take place of bitcoin or to compete bitcoin. the price will be rocket in the future so, now it is a very good chance to invest in it now. to an unbelievable point? not quite when you consider where it was at the start of the year...

Buy MAID instead. Truly decentralized, Chinese firewall resistant. But go long. They'll be worth a few dollars each this time next year... Mark my words!
would have to be brave to put crypto into china at the moment, even with the potential upside look at the risk

So guys, what are the next important dates to mark in our DIM calendar? I got in a month ago or more and can't wait any longer for some action Yeah! crawling through the net looking for updates is driving me crazy I actually cant wait for these coins to hit the exchanges, i don't even plan to sell but just want to see what the response will be like

I've read quite a few negative articles about government certificates/rights etc when dealing with property. Is it really as difficult as they are chatting about?
|
|
|
We need to fill out a form after we contribute, is this step necessary?
I've tried twice and both times 'Oops something went wrong'....

Hello I received this today from in my nano wallet can someone tell me whats that? Amount1.000000 XEM Fee 0.100000 XEM Mosaics attached: 2 Namedim:coin Quantity3 088.394920 Levy feePercentage-based: 3.088394 dim:coin Namedim:token Quantity26.855608 ---- I sent to them 104 XEM its around 25$
Yes, this is right. You received 1) 25 DIM = 25 $ 2) DIMCOIN - (100*25)+ 10% ( bonus for XEM) +5%.. Therefore, you received DIM and Dimcoin ... Congratulations. just to confirm, we get both? i was under the impression that the ico would pay dim token and the conversion was 1 token=100coins so $100 gets you 100 tokens only
