141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A man in UAE took six figure loan and lost 85% of his crypto value on: August 18, 2018, 12:15:02 AM
Getting a loan and investing it in crypto is the dumbest thing you could do. Loaned money is literally not a money you can afford to lose and you have the interest to pay to begin with. Add to it the volatility of the market, he should have studied the market more.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to spot a Scams on: August 18, 2018, 12:03:57 AM
IMO, you don't need to have such platform to do your homework for you. You can establish several metrics and standards to determine which ICO is scam or not. Like for example, a project with no team member is a scam.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which month most properly invest in crypto currency? on: August 17, 2018, 03:39:40 PM
Entering the market now might not be a bad idea; most coins are at losses and its literally surplus for coins out there. Set your eyes upon the coins in the top 10 coins in the cmc, you can never go wrong from those choices.

As for a specific month for investing, there's no such thing. Only the news dictates the price for the majority of cryptocurrencies.
144  Economy / Economics / Re: How much important bitcoin for entrepreneurs? on: August 17, 2018, 12:02:10 AM
i Think, Not an investment, but a very good payment tool,
because there is crypto, we can pay service from someone wherever he is, as long as have internet network ..
Indeed, the possibilities are limitless. With this payment option, the entrep will have like a "new world" to explore. It also good for adoption.  Like for example, the enterp would to accept only cryptocurrencies as a payment for his service, the costumer--with no prior knowledge to crypto--is obligated to do his research.
145  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it practical to expect tenfold jump in Bitcoin this year ? on: August 16, 2018, 11:46:11 PM
If the BTC's ETF is approved, it is equivalent to official recognition of Bitcoin as a legitimate asset.
This will also have a certain impact on the price of Bitcoin, BTC will once again break through the new high! There will be a round of bull market for cryptocurrencies!
I doubt the approval of etf would result in a ten-fold increase in its price. Many newbie nvestors were burned last quarter in the previous year, and that will take time to regain their confidence in this market.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions and Impressions about bitcoin on: August 15, 2018, 04:30:43 PM
Some people have shallow understanding of Bitcoin. They thought it was just merely used to pay bills or services. But, more than that it is a form of economic activities that could uplift someone elses life because of its value when you earn it and make is as form of living.
And you are one of those peole. Bitcoin is not a magic wand that improves the person's quality of living after just throwing money at it. You might want to step back a little bit and appreciate the technology behind it, that is, blockchain to which it has many use cases in our society.

148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rising bitcoin prices, will altcoin drop? on: July 30, 2018, 12:38:47 PM
When bitcoin flash pumps, alts' price go with it. This is due to the token/bitcoin pairs. But once the people realize that the price of bitcoin would continue to increase and thus is in a bull run, they will sell their altcoins at a surplus and FOMO into it.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what kind of projects you'd like to invest on: July 30, 2018, 12:31:50 PM
Masternode coins are getting popular nowadays so I'm setting my eyes upon them and try to study if the ROI is good. Utility coins are pretty much worn-out so one might actually concur that those type of projects would not succeed.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Restores Coinbase Advertisements On Platform on: July 30, 2018, 12:28:33 PM
Not entirely enough to affect the price in a bullish way though but good news for wide scale adoption. More publicity would instill reassurance to the public that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are not bad and not frowned upon.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto replacing fiat? on: July 29, 2018, 02:42:23 PM
Going digital would pose many problems for the people (especially the elders) who are less tech-savvy; they would get exploited by hackers and scammers. Besides, transaction time for cryprocurrencies are far from instant and micro-payments are usually not possible, and if it was, it would cost more than paying in fiat.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How have you impact people with cryptocurrency knowledge on: July 29, 2018, 02:34:54 PM
When I go to a local shop, I always ask if they accept bitcoin as payment. In that way, even if the owner hasn't heard of it, he would know that there is a demand for that service. Same thing with my friends when I lend them money or pay them money that I owe, I ask them if paying in bitcoins would be fine. In that way, curiosity will propagate.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin losing value is nothing surprising, will continue on: July 29, 2018, 02:26:43 PM

Just wait for the bitcoin to increase the price so there's a word HOLD in bitcoin to wait for and check that when the bitcoin price will rise again when you do this way to make money.
The problem with hodling bitcoin (if you are going for long term) is that the future is not yet certain. Who knows if bitcoin would go all the way down to 0; very unlikely but not impossible. Hodling, in a sense, is not a secure way of making money.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULD WE GET ALL HATERS OF BITCOIN OUT OF HERE? on: July 29, 2018, 02:16:45 PM
I think its fine the way it is. Cryptocurrency is a zero-sum game. People, especially traders wouldn't profit if there aren't any FUD. Besides, eliminating it would be more taxing than getting cryptocurrency legalized in a country because people will always ask, speculate and have expectations for this new technology.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can you invest in bitcoin without being scammed? on: July 29, 2018, 02:12:37 PM
Always read and do research about the investment you are interested in. It makes sense that you should be extra wary since its money that we are talking about here. And also keep your emotions in check. Most of the scammed people are overrun by their greed; they jump head first at the sight of high returns, not scrutinizing a project eagerly.
156  Local / Altcoin Announcements (Pilipinas) / Re: [FIL-ANN] Taurus0x - A distributed, open-standard protocol for smart derivatives on: July 29, 2018, 01:56:00 PM
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the good way to earn with Altcoins? on: July 26, 2018, 02:33:50 PM
A good way to earn altcoins are joining bounties. The tokens you receive are already considered as altcoins but if you want other altcoins, you can trade them in exchanges or even buy bitcoins for it.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Nice jump by BTC today! on: July 24, 2018, 11:44:49 AM
What gets me exited though are the price increase of alts. Last year, all the top gainers were altcoins and bitcoin was not included in them. That being said, I hope the altcoin season comes soon as it is more profitable.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we Re-Brand Bitcoin? on: July 24, 2018, 11:41:17 AM
Definitely a bad idea. Bitcoin cash was misleading enough, don't add anymore confusion for the public. Also, you are wrong to compare bitcoin with a company as it is not a centralized figure.
