I haven't heard much about Elixxir yet but I will definitely have a look into them more. The precomputation part of their consensus seems interesting

I think they are worth having right now especailly as we transition from fiat to crypto entirely. We've seen it as more people are getting paid in strictly crypto what happens over time

I am really interested to see how the MakerDao system pans on especially with their pegged Dai. I think it's a rad idea once you're able to wrap your mind aroudn it

https://www.verdict.co.uk/elixxir-blockchain-privacy-communications/A newly announced blockchain privacy platform dubbed Elixxir is seeking to bring secure communications to the next level by not only offering end to end encryption but also full protection of metadata. Invented by David Chaum who is a computer scientist and cryptographer dubbed the 'father of online privacy' because of his invention of Digicash in the 80s. There's a lot of discussion around this project esp since David is the brains behind it

I honestly think we need this sort of compliance and it will only help people trust Binance as an exchange
I think people are starting to think in that way depending on the consensus they chooses. I hope it continues or find a way to generate heat with all the miners

Interest Ask. In fact, bitcoin coins do not have an identifier (number) as on the US dollar.
Therefore, I believe that it is impossible to trace the stolen bitcoins to you
Actually you can with cyber security firms such as CipherTrace who can trace all of bitcoins. Stolen anything is a risky maneuver

4 requirements for mainstream adoption and a new full-stack platform called Elixxir is planning to achieve this through mix networks and precomputation. Currently in their node selection process they hope to be launching their beta soon after https://www.elixxir.io/

David Chaum made a significant contribution to cryptography and thus to the emergence of bitcoin. However, this guy already tried doing business before and failed even though he had pretty interesting and high quality tech behind it: Chaum's DigiCash project came "within close range of achieving a global level of success." However, it ultimately failed to grow its user base to a sufficient size to support its operations. It may have been a combination of infighting among DigiCash developers and team members and a lack of adoption around the world that ultimately led to the downfall of the system
How can we he sure that this time he'll find enough funding and support, will secure strong partnerships and not fight over development matters with other people? This project does not have enough supporters to become the next big thing yet. One of their biggest seed investors was Chris Larsen founder of ripple which I found interesting

I think both have different purposes and use cases. I have a feeling Ethereum will be around for longer...

I'm not into clicking youtube views, I don't know if you are the owner of that channel that wants to gain some views. Explain and give a brief summary of the whole content and it's also a factor what's your insight for telling it that's cool.
I just looked into the elixxir project and its definitely something worth noting. Founded by David Chaum who invented Digicash back in 1989 and a long time crypto and privacy pioneer it looks like. As far the project goes, it's a digital messaging and payments app that secures data and metadata. I would say it's venmo and whatsapp competition

I was never aware of this, but that is an amazing thing to know, because it is already part of history. So, for crypto enthusiasts like us, we will be interested in lots of things. I agree! it's pretty rad. I even looked him up on https://nakamotoinstitute.org/literature/ and he's mentioned a few times. crypto enthusiasts would def know this guy and his project

Does anyone else find it crazy that David Chaum actually reached out to Mark Zuck to help with privacy for FB? Granted I doubt they will take on anyone who is a pretty prominent figure in both cryptography and privacy.

I am really excited to see all these privacy coins and platforms start to roll out. Curious how it is going to play out with kyc and aml in particular if the government happens to get involved. Will there ever be privacy interoperability? If so I think zcash and elixxir would benefit from each other
I think the most successful altcoins will be those who have other projects building layers on top for scalability and interoperability.
I think it totally depends how you view both because they have different functions. I think there is a lot of use for ETH but it's quite spread out where as XRP is really only one function and that is for payments. I am waiting on ripple's latest investment on elixxir which is a payment and digital messaging app https://elixxir.io/

I think it's a worthy project for sure and from the looks of it a lot of people are invested.
Yes I think there will always need and will be altcoin competition. My thoughts are on those that can use cross chain interoperability uses such as MOAC and Ethereum with the likes of Cosmos.
I've felt less anxious and stable for sure. It's also allowed me to pay it forward and give when I can

I am really impressed with all the projects that are rolling out. We have been making massive strides in developing a currency that we believe fits the true definition of a crytocurrency. Whether it's a privacy coin like Grin, the lightning network advancement for Bitcoin, a elastic supply policy for Ampleforth even interchain operability with projects like Cosmos and Polkadot.
Just because we are in a winter doesn't mean we aren't making things great for the next bull run
