141  Other / Politics & Society / Re: how to break teenage video game addiction on: October 30, 2017, 06:10:53 PM
Best way is to gradually lessen your gaming time until it is put to a minimum and then quit when you think that you are strong enough to do it or at least when you can control the urge. Then allot the time that you are usually spending playing into some other activity that is productive so you can divert your attention.
142  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: October 30, 2017, 06:07:24 PM
I really hope that it would work. 6 years for the President's term may not be sufficient to totally eradicate the problem of illlegal drugs, but if they can grestly weaken it and the next incoming leader (future presidents) would continue his legacy, then it might actually be possible. It's just a shame that the previous administrations didn't do anything about it so I think they should be held liable as well.

I think generalizing is like putting a group of people in a box based on their race, ethnicity, beliefs, opinions and defining them as all one and the same. Generalizing people is I think one of tge greatest fallacy and mistake committed by our generation and we use it to define people instead of seeing them as unique individuals.
144  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Life before and after marriage ??? on: October 30, 2017, 05:57:22 PM
I am still single so I really can't differentiate it. But based in what I have observed, when someone gets married to a spouse, their priority suddenly changes. Before when they were still single, they would do whatever they want, go to wherever they like and buy what they desire for themselves. But if you are married, you should your spouse as your first priority before yourself and eventually your kids as well before your own good.
145  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the Meaning of Sin? on: October 30, 2017, 05:52:07 PM
Sin, in a nutshell, can be defined as any activity, idea or thought that displeases God. Sin goes against God's character of being holy, righteous and good that's why it is an abomination in His sight. It is our sickness that leads to death, not only of the physical body, but also spiritual death which means a life eternally separated from God. But because of God's grace and love for us, He gave us Jesus to cure us from sin by dying for us on the cross.
146  Other / Off-topic / Re: how to be positive on: October 29, 2017, 12:26:20 AM
Staying positive at all times is a difficult task but not impossible. Just remember that there are things that we cannot control such as how others would think, what they would say and how they would react. But we have control on our own thoughts and actions and we are responsible for it thus being positive is always a choice.
147  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have we lost the power to control our futures? on: October 28, 2017, 12:35:37 PM
While there are things that we can control in our life, there are areas that are still inevitable for us. Thus, we should not focus on the uncontrollable stuff but do our best so we can improve our way of living.
148  Economy / Economics / Re: Life with out money ? on: October 28, 2017, 12:23:55 PM
It might be possible as our anfestors were able to do it. However, it might be difficulty as in every society, there should be something that should serve as a mode of purchasing or what we consider currency. Though we abolish the use of koney, we might still end up using alternatives like precious stones, crystals, metals or even products.
149  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Mind Reading Possible? on: October 28, 2017, 12:16:31 PM
I think no, as only the person himself and God can really know what he is thinking. However, it is possible to somehow predict or get a hint of what the person could be thinking if you really know the person and you have reached the point of closeness where you can already finish each others sentences.
150  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Money on: October 28, 2017, 12:10:26 PM
Money is essential for daily life but it shouldn't be our main focus in life as there are far more things that we should prioritize like our families that will give us true happiness. I've seen a lot of people who committed a lot of evil things just because of their love for money. Money is a good servant but never a good master.
151  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion on recreational drug use on: October 28, 2017, 11:58:42 AM
Dependence to these drugs will eventually lead to addiction that's why I am against it. I've seen a lot of broken families, lives wasted and horrendous things commited just because of the irresponsible use of these drugs. People should start developing and investing on healthy habits instead.

153  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do during a panic attack? on: October 28, 2017, 06:59:08 AM
For me, I just close my eyes and breathe slowly and pray. Try to refocus yourself and think of positive thoughts. Being with some you trust will also help especially if they know that you sometimes get panic attacks.

155  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: October 28, 2017, 06:29:25 AM
For the longest time, no one has addressed the Philippines' issue and it is now that we are able understand how grave and widespread it is in the country. The governement is currectly facing it head on and I just wish that somehow it would eradicate it though it might be hard to do it in just 6 years.
156  Other / Politics & Society / Re: impact of social media on: October 28, 2017, 06:23:05 AM
Social media helps us connect to more people and enables us to communicate to others impossible for us to meet if not for the internet. That's why we should learn to also respect and respond accordingly to others as if we are talking to tgem face to face.
157  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to be contented on what you have? on: October 28, 2017, 06:19:12 AM
With all the things happening in the world, new things invented, it is not easy being distracted. But when one wants to be content, they must focus and appreciate what they already have and not the things they don't, especially if it is not a need.
158  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How can you be part a good change? In this world. on: October 28, 2017, 06:10:09 AM
In order impact others to change, we should first learn to do it ourselves by setting an example. This means that we have to be consistent in what we do, regardless if someone imitaes and follows us or not.
159  Other / Politics & Society / Re: how to break teenage video game addiction on: October 28, 2017, 06:02:24 AM
Yes, indeed, it is hard to break but not impossible. Firts yuo'll have to stay away as much as you can to the object of addiction, then allot the time for some other activity like going outdoors or being with friends.
160  Other / Politics & Society / Re: benefits of meditation on: October 28, 2017, 06:00:01 AM
Meditation  or reflection, depending on what faith you have, has a calming effect to the mind. Sometimes, all we have to do is sit in silence and reflect on things and it helps us realize our life's condition.
