144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: November 19, 2017, 01:13:27 AM
Yes and yes, simple math using personal formulas had help me win lottery in the past, Atimes it doesn't work. as unbelievable as it may sound I hate math back in school but I never failed it.
Gambling is bad and I have stopped it
I think luck is the main reason why you won in lottery, math is not really vital in games which is called as luck based games like lottery because it is drawn based on a random numbers. I think it would be more useful in sports betting because when you are good in math you can analyze the information very well.
imagine this:
There is a lotto 6/49

You have to pick 6 numbers from 1 up to 49.

You do some math and you see that the odds of winning is 1 to 14mil.
This is simple math.
So you buy 14mil tickets and you win 100% => this is math and you have no luck in here, no matter how unlucky you are you will win 100% of the time just because you used math Wink

So stop saying luck has anything to do with this. it is all math.
Ahh and yeah if you play one combination and you win this is luck, if you play same combination all the time and you win => pure luck!
even if you play 14mil times same combination and you win it is luck, but you can use the math to make it 100% win no matter how unlucky you are...

P.S.: Unless you so unlucky you get hit by a bus once you won...
Then no math can help you...
But in all other cases math is what can help you win Wink

They say yesterday fork was cancel and now they are saying it just a delay but sure segwitx2 will continue. Is that true?

Just hear something like that. Some people told me that in 4hrs there will be a fork?

Is this true?
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: November 17, 2017, 12:03:19 PM
It is just increment or decrement a number by 1, just need to know what cards are... simple as that...
It is harder to learn the rules of BJ then to count cards on BJ Wink

More or less yeah, if you practice on your memory and how to successfully memorize in good order you can earn some on it Smiley. But that's definitely not for everyone.. only a handfull that can memorize that good Tongue.

What order?!?!
you need to know how to count to 52; how to add 1 to a number up to 52 and how to subtract 1 from the number.
If you can't do that I wonder how you can type on the keyboard...

If you have trouble remembering s single number (up to 2 digits), then how do you ever remember your name, or anything else in this matter...

Just want to note again: if you do NOT KNOW when counting cards is, do not comment on it!!!

After all you DO NOT have to remember every card (each card is +1 or -1) and you start from 0, so you add the value of each card to the 0 and you remember the number, one number and that is all....

Please inform yourself before commenting on something you do not know at all!!!!
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: November 17, 2017, 07:03:55 AM
Well counting cards (in the BJ example) does give you edge, that's why casino forbid it  in any possible way.

Also doing the math to see when you have bigger odds to win and then going BIG and when odds are low you go min bet, then you can have the odds in your favor.
Just watch 21 and you will see how it is done.

Remember that this will trow you out of the casino, as it is against house rules (exactly because it turns the odds in your favor and the house does not like that).

You can play all the games for fun and beat them each time, but in real casino, as I said few posts above, they do everything to figure them and forbit them and they ban anyone who try to use them in order to turn the odds in his favor Wink
Counting cards requires good memory. Math won't help you if you can't remember cards.

If you can not remember 1+1 = 2
The math will not work for you...

Counting cards gives you the input for the math you need to do to see the odds.

btw counting cards is just starting from 0 and doing math +1 or -1 => didn't know you do not know what card counting is and still try to make smart comments Wink

Most people don't really know what card counting is.. They've seen some movie or heard some story and they think that only rainman can do it... It's not simple, I won't say that but it's not rocket science either.
It is just increment or decrement a number by 1, just need to know what cards are... simple as that...
It is harder to learn the rules of BJ then to count cards on BJ Wink

According to their email, today is the last day of second airdrop distribution. I hope 3 days is enough time for Dev to send the token to all of us. If there is any delay they should let us know.

I think you are mistaken.
It is impossible to send tokens to all almost 4000 people.
They need few weeks (that is why 3rd round will be on 30th, when the tokens from 2nd will hopefully be distributed Wink

2 weeks is more likely then 3 days Wink
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: November 16, 2017, 07:44:41 AM
This is sort of an odd question, and I haven't read people stating this in this thread, which is the correct answer.

Math of course can help you improve your chances of winning.  The problem is, even though you improve your chance, it still not a positive % that you are going to win, or the expected value is still negative, meaning, the more you play the more likely you are to lose.  But yes, Math absolutely improves your chances of winning.
I do not think mathematics can determine victory in the gambling game. mathematics can not show us that gambling is a sure thing, mathematics is just a calculation and it will not apply to gambling games. gambling game is very influential to luck so we can not see what will happen in the future. gambling game is unpredictable and it is a sure thing !! so if you do not want to take a high risk then I suggest never to play gambling. gambling game only for those who dare to take risks and not afraid to lose the money they have.

Wrong, all games are based on math, there isn't a game in the casino that is not based on math.  Knowing the math can help improve your odds, but you will never be favored to win.  Look at basic strategy for Blackjack, the BETTER the player plays(according to math) the more he improves his chances to 50% win ratio, but they will never ever get to 50%, house always has the edge.

Well counting cards (in the BJ example) does give you edge, that's why casino forbid it  in any possible way.

I received 2000 ebit. Thank ebit team.
What is your number on spreadsheet ?, I am number 597 on spreadsheet but I haven't received the second airdrop.

i'm 509th
haven't received yet too, i guess the distribution is still going.
i hope i'll get them, because it was lucky accident to see email about the 2nd airdrop in time to transfer ebits back from etherdelta.

Well I am 937 and thanhmmo19 is 877 - he got it I did not yet.
Hope they will come soon.
The problem is that apparently they do not go by the lines in the spreadsheet.

If you are 597 and 509 and yet have not received it... Sad
They will arrive soon, just have to give some trust in it.
155  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Any genuine HYIP programs? on: November 15, 2017, 02:25:12 PM
All programs which describe themselves as an "HYIP" will scam their customers eventually.  It does not matter how long they take to scam their customers, they will scam their customers.

You may think that this is a subjective opinion, but it is not.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-yield_investment_program

12% daily return.
Put that into a compound interest calculator.  12% per day is 4380% per year.

If you put $100 into that program and you allowed it to compound daily for a year, your final balance would be worth $82,292,499,203,913,880,000.  Now do you still think it's okay?

you are almost correct.
The compound for a year will be: 92,167,599,108,383,825,924.18

Yet most of the HYIPs I have seen have longer then a day period.
So you need to "invest" it for a week or month.
So you make 12 per day for 1 month, then you can reinvest and so on.

But I was wondering why there are no actual services like this.

For example someone to use the capital to invest it in different investing programs (trading coins, banckroll, etc..) and to share the profits among the investors?

This will be cool and good way to earn money if you know nothing about gambling or investing. Yet will give the operator the ability to operate with big amounts in order to gain better returns.

For example I flip some coins for good profit, but I have small amount, so my profits are small. If I had bigger bank I could've made lots of money, but now I make incredible returns in % but the absolute value is so small it is sad...

This is what I think. There should be a program that you can join and start earning money, but probably the % will be low and not many people will like to invest there...
Not sure why ppl like to invest in something that has nothing real in it, and do not like when a program offers realistic returns...

157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: November 15, 2017, 07:04:14 AM
This article doesn't state that you can win at roulette by using math, it says this at the end:

Quote
We can dress up the layout of the wheel, the layout of the betting cloth, our number selection and our money management system however we like, but the maths is always there, quietly working against us. You might as well just have fun, pick random numbers and trust to Lady Luck. Either that, or do as Einstein suggested and steal chips (not that we’d recommend it).

So no, it's not possible to win at roulette just by using math.

For other games it's possible, but keep in mind that casino's are doing everything in their power to prevent you from doing so.
I'm thinking of blackjack specifically, they have security measures in place to prevent you from counting cards. If they even suspect you're doing this, they can ban you from the casino.

For pvp games like poker, you can effectively use math to gain an edge over other players though.

I think you are pretty wrong!

After all all games of chance are pure math (that is why they say math is working against you).

There is a way to gain better odds - this does not mean you will win 100%, just using math you could turn the odds in your favor.

The problem with casinos is that they have staff that knows math way too good, and their job is to find the strategies that can turn the odds around and to figure a way to stop them.
So if you create a roulette that is pure chance where it will land and has no protection against any strategies then you can beat that one.
In the casino they have min and max limit to eliminate most of the strategies. They also have other ways to interact once you start winning and they do not know how you do it.

So in real casino it will be hard to beat it, as it pays millions of millions to people to figure out how it can be bitten and to prevent it from happening.

Good luck gambling Wink

Never forget the first tree rules of gambling:
The house allays wins!

Strange I have joined too (a month ago or so), yet my address not in the list.
I have connected into the Discord and did a twitt...

I just received email with information about second airdrop. I am confused about the 17 000 eBIT. So is 1700 eBIT enough or not?
Also, in the title of this ANN it says [CLOSED] but as far as I understand, airdrop is not closed, 2nd round is happening tomorrow.

Email:
Quote
We will start with the 2nd airdrop on thuesday 14 november!
Please make sure you have 1700 eBIT in the wallet you signed up for the airdrop!
Any wallet that is not signed up for the airdrop needs top have at least 17.000 eBIT.
You need to have the 1700 or 17.000 eBIT in a wallet not just on Etherdelta!
You can for example create a myetherwallet.com

So if you received 300 eBIT you need to buy at least 1400 eBIT extra!
If you received 1700 eBIT in the 1st airdrop and you didn't transfer or sell you will receive 2000 eBIT!
The same story for people that didn't receive the 1st airdrop but that have at least 17.000 eBIT in a wallet!
Please make sure to keep this eBIT at least between 14 november 00:01 UTC untill 16 november 00:01 UTC!

If you need to buy more eBIT:

Click here to buy on Etherdelta!

Well as far as I understand it
If you have 1700 from first AirDrop, or you add it up to (at least) 1700 You get in for the second.
If you did not took part in the 1st round you need 17000 (10 times more) in your address in order to  receive the second wave of airdrop...

This is what I get so far.

Wondering if I have signed for the 1st round do we get the second automatically, or do we have to sign up again?
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ [LTCW] LiteCoinW | AIRDROP ROUND 2 CLOSED ...★★★ on: November 10, 2017, 02:52:53 PM
are you still going to go with this dual platform (main platform ERC20 and second platform waves), wouldn't it be easier just to use one platform....??

Hi, we will use only the main erc20 to list in CoinMarketCap and many exchanges, so erc20 really counts. Thanks for your comment, on the website we will give relevance to erc20 platform.

Hey just wanted to let everyone know I received the ERC20 tokens thanks and Hope they will go to the Moon (at least).

Smiley

Good luck and hope you will be able to support the waves platform as well.
