141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finland sold 1,900 BTC, for a good cause on: July 24, 2022, 01:57:15 PM
Interesting to see how this is not bloody money since it was transacted for the drug related crimes.

I'm very happy to see that much amount of money going to Ukraine for better cause (or not may be used to buy weapons) which seems to similar criminal activity as well.

Finland should donate food, water and try to rebuild the safe houses with this money rather than just giving away this money.

Many of you find it hard to read what I am saying but think about this for a minute, drug related money is ceased, now it's being sent over to the country where war is on going and all that country would do is buy more classic weapons and kill more lives.

What kind of justice is that?
Donating food and water I understand but rebuilding at this time makes no sense because I see on news every day that most of those Ukrainian Areas are still been heavily bombarded every day so how can rebuilding take place?
I don't think your comment is hard to read at all but who is actually doing the killing here? I believe that Ukraine is actually defending itself and the President and the people of Ukraine have not had any problem asking for help to DEFEND the Country which I believe the aid is about rather than the way you see it as "buying more classic weapons and kill more lives"
142  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the possibility Bitcoin will rise before the end of the year ? on: July 20, 2022, 08:53:59 AM
Last year I predicted Bitcoin will rise above the value at the start of the year and I was totally right about it, in April Bitcoin eventually reached a new all-time high price of $64k. Bitcoin added about 72% of its value as it  increased drastically before it eventually started falling back in May till September. I don’t really know how this year is going to turn out now because of the present dip. But I just hope it increases, that’s why I’ve been advising so many people  to hold their Bitcoins and even buy more now cause it will surely rise again.

Very good prediction last year, I hope you made a lot of money from it. It seems you have a good feeling for the crypto market, why not trust your own intuition this year again? Listening to other people can be helpful sometimes but it is still only a prediction, and if it goes wrong than we hate ourselves for listening to other people. I prefer to take other people opinion into consideration, just not to trust blindly other people. To me it seems that the bitcoin is already in a recovery state, the price recovered a lot since his lows this year. Right now BTC is up 15% within the last 4 weeks. I would still advice to hold bitcoin because the price will likely keep rising after the summer break, and it's still cheap to buy bitcoins compared to last year.

He has only 15 posts here and there is not a single word about prediction he is talking about, so I doubt that he has made a fortune from buying low. If he is so good at making prediction, then why is he asking if Bitcoin would rise this year?

My opinion about Bitcoin price by the end of this year is rather pessimistic. Of course the price will be higher than this year lowest price, but I dont expect a huge increase, as I expect inflation or financial crisis this Autumn due to increase of natural resources prices.
I noticed this too and decided to go check but saw nothing of sort or maybe OP made that prediction to his/her friends outside this forum  Anyways, the Bitcoin price can go any which way just look at what happened around Jan this year when Bitcoin dropped to around $33k+ and later went up the next month Feb to around $45k+ and continued on this up-down and even got up to $48k+ in march before April brought the free fall all the way to $17k+ so, the market might be seeing these few ups and downs in price but I don't think it is time to see a big push upside yet.

144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to staking - is this worth it? on: July 18, 2022, 10:37:14 AM
I think I am going to go for it having had a look at their requirements there is no locked period which is pretty good.
the locked period is not the only thing you have to consider there are other things for example the 3rd party where you stake the coin is hacked then you will also lose your coins, why force yourself to stake the coin keeping it private is much safer where you have it control
I believe that can could happen sometimes however, that is why when it comes to staking you might want to do some checking before deciding on which platform you would stake your coins/tokens in. mycointainer Cold Staking & Delegations gives the option of "stake" delegating coins from your own wallet to any of the nodes without your coins leaving your wallet which I believe this method is safer for staking and whether you decide to stake your coins or not, whatever happens to the price of that coin will still affect your coin but as long as you have invested in the right project, I would rather stake my coins and make some more during the bear market waiting for the Bull season.
Reading through some of these statements, I would rather go with the option of holding my coins in my wallet while I still have them staking somehow and I agree too that staking through the bear market is something I see myself doing instead of just Holding them in the wallet and not earning anything. I guess Individual investors know what's best for them and will take a proper step on this.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's faceless identity is the greatest Bitcoin success strategy on: July 17, 2022, 09:44:06 AM
One can not conceive any constructive thought about crypto currency without picturing Bitcoin as the symbol of cryptocurrency, in fact, I always tell newbies that there are two types of cryptocurrencies in the world to which are.
1- Bitcoin= decentralized free ecosystem coin aka the king of crypto.
2-  altcoins=shit coin highly centralized and controlled cryptocurrencies aka altcoins.

These factors of Satoshi's lawlessness have made Bitcoin stand out and become the image representing cryptocurrency today and if Satoshi is identified today I think Bitcoin will start losing its position as number one.
From your two points above and your last statement down there, so you are invariably saying that "IF" Satoshi was to be Identified, Bitcoin will lose its value meaning it isn't the decentralization of its ecosystem as a coin that makes it strong but the UnIdentity of Satoshi?
If Bitcoin is decentralized which it is and not controlled by any one person and that has contributed to what has made it what it is today, so would satoshis Identity make it centralized?
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware wallet demand increases in 2022 bear market as exchange scramble on: July 16, 2022, 06:36:49 AM
Bitcoin holders are moving the coins from non-custodial wallets to custodian wallets where they have their private keys, remember this is not your keys, not your wallet. Exchanges have lost huge liquidities due to hacks and the rest of it so a cold wallet is the best option.
Grin I believe you have them both mixed up "With a non-custodial wallet, you have sole control of your private keys, which in turn control your cryptocurrency and prove the funds are yours. With a custodial wallet, another party controls your private keys. Most custodial wallets these days are web-based exchange wallets."
Custodial vs. Non-Custodial Wallets
So you see, where you have the PK and are in control or in charge of your crypto assets is the non-custodian like the Ledger, and Trezor wallets, and some more.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not use Tether instead of Bitcoin ? on: July 14, 2022, 05:43:11 PM
Why do people not promote Tether instead of Bitcoin?

Is it because there is no money to be made in Tether?

Isn't the whole idea of Bitcoin to have a decentralized network that is useful and fair?  Isn't that Tether?

1:1 seems fairer than 1:20,000 ...
Truthfully the main reason now people INVEST in Bitcoin is more of a profit-making rather than just the idea of having a decentralized network. Again speaking truthfully, would you OP rather invest in Tether or Bitcoin? even though we know that Tether is still always in the picture if you understand what I mean.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many Crypto Projects Will Die on: July 12, 2022, 08:16:34 AM
Specialists believe that Bitcoin and good ecosystem projects will survive the crypto winter and grow, but many won't make it. Some fiat money will also die.
https://www.vanticatrading.com/post/many-crypto-projects-will-die
What else is new? I remember most of the coins/tokens I use to trade back before the 2017 bear market when Bittrex was the exchange have all disappeared from the system while the ones that are still there are basically unworthy of investment and most of them are also some new projects that came out then, this is why investment by some investors still look to only these old legends that have withstood it all before and will still do.

150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you guys invest meme coins now? on: July 09, 2022, 08:30:38 AM
So right now the market is unpredictable. Even in this condition as we all can see most YouTubers and even Kucoin, and Binance exchanges promote meme coins. What would you guys do about this meme coins project? are you guys ok to invest in these coins or rather not invest this time? because most famous coins like shib, and doge are now in the dip as we can see.
We have seen that sometimes Investing in meme coins could be profitable in some instances but that is not what I would want to put many investments in. Luckily, people that were hodling Dogecoin accidentally fell in that group that made profits when Elon musk made that move and I not forgetting Shiba Inu price pump too. But whether exchanges like  Kucoin and Binance are promoting meme coins, they have to do this to draw in traders for their own gains and not because these are coins that are actually worth investing in.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is right time for investment ? on: July 08, 2022, 01:25:12 PM
Hi everyone hope you guys are doing great i just want to ask a quick question in last days Elon musk tweeted about the meme token doge and after that the meme tokens are trending so i found one good project named Hippoinu.io the first web 3.0 aggregator where user can earn rewards in all meme tokens and i think investing in this project is legit and they have a presale on pinksale on 26th june 14:00 UTC i am thinking to take part in the presale but i am scared of losing money so i need suggestions from you guys should i invest in it or not . I also share you website and website link
website: https://hippoinu.io/
whitepaper: https://hippoinu.io/whitepaper-en.pdf
Yeah, Elon has really gotten some people hooked to meme coins although people have actually been investing in meme coins before Elon Musk's tweet that pushed Doge coins price however since then, more people thinks meme coins are a good form of crypto investment. You are already scared of investing in this your project but you want people confidience and when you do invest and lost b'cos people said so, hope you are not going to come back here to drag the people  Grin
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be careful buying alts right now on: July 07, 2022, 10:51:38 AM
In my opinion I think that the best thing to do right now is just to add some of those altcoins on watchlist and keep on monitoring them until bitcoin will show the signs of sellers being exhausted, or better still buy in bit by bit during each dip, but such process is for those who intended long term hold and have the funds to do so, I still see some people buying shitcoins presale coin despite the fact that they knew that we are in bear market, some folks just love taking risk that is not worth it
I agree with you there but you know that investing in cryptocurrency is all about taking risks and some of us have a knack for taking a high level of risk because they believe that most of these shitcoins can or will blow up in price someday. There are Alts you might actually want to be buying in bits as you have said if the funds are there, maybe DCA cos there is a possibility that the price might not fall lower than we expected and you end up missing to buy much lower.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will DOGE go back to sub $0.01 prices ever again? on: July 06, 2022, 05:29:47 PM
The time when Elon tweets influence the price have passed i think, this is also the reason why there is a frantic increase in utility by the dogecoin dev to sustain the artificial price pump, this coin was not created to have a real utility but thanks to Elon's influence it surge higher than many ever expected.
But bear market is no respecter of anyone (Elon Musk or not) the possibility that doge will go back to that price is very likely considering the bear market still persist, investors are looking for projects with real utility and great demand for price sustainability during period like this.
Got that right. The reason for that price boost as you mentioned was because of Elon Musk and we can see that after that initial influence on the Dogecoin price, subsequent tweets from Elon didn't really have any more effect on the price and I don't think Elon Musk can have that price effect again and generally, I don't see Dogecoins price hitting that previous ATH let alone crossing it for a long time even after the bear market.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: The new bounty stopped coming? on: July 06, 2022, 05:16:13 PM
I agree, I guess bounty now is slowly fading out hence no more good projects now and the quality of project nowadays were pretty copy and paste. I missed the golden era of bounties and missing good bounty reward payouts. This year, so many bounties I joined with that turned out scam especially with a project that deals with auto-staking thing.
Just because you joined the wrong bounty projects doesn't mean that there are no good bounty projects. You are even promoting one now I see. Most people jump into every bounty project they see without even looking at the detailed info of the bounty. Plus I don't believe that bounty is slowly fading out.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: July 05, 2022, 12:36:49 PM
Watching the current market and the demise of ALL crypto ... is this the end for certain coins?

How do people think the likes of ETH, ADA, XRP, TRON etc will go from here?
I am surprised that you are asking this type of question, and you even believe this is the demise of ALL crypto. Even though your account says you are a newbie I don't suppose you have not heard that the cryptocurrency market has been through such many times before and the coins you mentioned too have gone through similar bear seasons before and that Bitcoin, in particular, has been pronounced dead 459 times
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu, Dogecoin Accepted for Payment by Food Delivery Company Uber Eats ! on: July 05, 2022, 09:53:46 AM
Look at this Shiba Inu Burned Coins Exceed Market Cap of MATIC with $4 Billion Worth of Tokens Destroyed Even with the total amount of Shiba Inu coin burned over time should have been worth more than the total market capitalization of MATIC, still, there is no impact on the Shiba Inu coin price, What is that Huh Huh Huh well I guess we have to wait if this will affect the price positively over the years in Bull season.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in new projects? on: July 04, 2022, 02:56:15 PM
New projects do have greater potential. can get 2x 3x even 10x profit in a short time. but most of them always don't last long. they just rely on the hype. after the hype ends then the price usually drops very drastically. even rug full.
but there are also good new projects. examples of successful new projects are like Axie infinity.
I myself realize that I don't have much experience and can't analyze a good one. so I prefer not to invest in new projects.
Investing in new projects are mostly people taking risks even though that is the general concept of crypto investment Grin however, newer projects are riskier and no one really knows if they will succeed or not, and for those that eventually do, until that happens before their investors can say they made the right move cos we have seen some with good projections and turns out to be a failed project for some reason.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready to embrace physical bitcoin? on: July 02, 2022, 07:09:35 PM
Certainly, the fact and provenly discussed, Bitcoin is not a thing and will never have a physical form. But what if the world suddenly change and opt to in physical form, are we ready to embrace it?

Sources:
https://phemex.com/academy/what-is-physical-bitcoin
https://www.cnet.com/culture/are-physical-bitcoins-legal/
https://www.analyticssteps.com/blogs/what-casascius-coin

So who is going to be doing the printing of the physical Bitcoin? or is everyone with some Bitcoin be able to make their own physical copy? Is this just going to be for Hodlers with on full Bitcoin or satoshis owners too should be able to make their own satoshi physical copies too? This is not going to work as I see it regardless of what it will solve.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: July 02, 2022, 06:41:16 PM
Some very good coins out there have lost 95% of their value already is it possible to see more down fall? I'm throwing this to those that are present in last bear market, marketcap and volume is over millions of dollars and price is 95% down?  Shocked :I downfall still possible? For example Metahero.
Maybe we would see more downward price drop or maybe not. During the last bear market season, Bitcoins price dropped about -85% but the price is currently around -74% and if the market were to continue to drop to around the same level as the last bear market, BTC price could be around $10k which I am thinking might not happen. However, buying now wouldn't hurt much I would say.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is using 2fa safe in every way on: July 01, 2022, 05:23:45 PM
today I experienced an unexpected transaction from one of my wallets, all my assets were sold automatically, this is the first time I've experienced this, I didn't protect this wallet with a PIN and 2fa
can it be delayed after I use 2fa and PIN for all transactions?
I guess that transaction is already gone but it is important to always have a 2fa enabled in all your wallets apart from your pin too. There is not too much protection with your crypto assets. Regardless of whichever wallet it is, whether exchange wallets or other non-custodial wallets which are even regarded to be safer still I think we still need to have different levels of protection.
