Though Shiba Inu has in good business already but being known as a meme coin, that can be uncertain thinking for a long-term investment. That can't be considered as the potential coin as sooner or later, that can be like other meme coins IMO.

Right now I'm not and if there will be a time that I will invest into meme coins, I will only buy DOGE and nothing more.
Tried to invest a few dollars into one meme coin and it turned out to be a fail investment because I lost most of my money there.

There are many coins out there that are far better than meme coins. Why thinking of investing into it? There are many coins out there which are safer to invest with than meme coins. Maybe you can try and buy some DOGE and SHIB because like you said it is down already but for me, meme coins are just for short term profits and not a good long term coin to hold.

If you have the resources to invest then try your luck. There is no harm trying out this memecoins. Who knows you might be lucky enough to gain potential like some who bought shiba and earned a lot from it. Memecoin are mostly scams and we all knew that what drives the price is basically on hype. So make sure you can risk only money you are allowed to lose and not your hard earned money.

Meme coins are only good for pumps and dumps as it has no utility. Therefore, timing and momentum are the key.
Right now, the market isn't doing great, so I don't think I buying meme coins is a good idea at the moment.
Let's say you want to buy a meme coin at the start of a bull run. You still have to limit your risk since it is an incredibly risky investment.

Even if the price goes up after you sold it, regrets should not be felt. What meme coin are you aiming for?
If you have spare time you could also try trading it as long as you know the basics of trading.

Meme coins are trend coins that will soon be over, even if these exchanges support meme coins the community will always go for usability, they promote these meme coins because they also made profits from trending coins, remember when PVE  and Play to earn are trending so many exchanges support this to increase volumes because these are pump and dumps projects every trade means profit until these trend coins die a natural death, and these exchanges will support new trending coins.

I would not trust a memecoin to be a good investment especially in these times. If you are expecting them to pump during the same time Bitcoin will then why not just go directly invest with Bitcoin. Security is not an issue with it and so is the trust rating. While these memecoin could just vanish in a blink of an eye. You won't want that feeling of losing just because you made a mistake. Memecoins may be cheap but that's still money you are spending and it's more worth it if placed in the right coin.

I personally stay away from meme-coins. To be honest for me those are just shit-coins. Just look at how the whole meme-coin hype started last year. Elon Musk made a few tweets about Dogecoin and that was it. After that Dogecoin pumped and a lot of people wanted to make some quick and easy money by creating a meme-coin themself. Creating a new ERC-20 or BSC token is really easy and so we had like 100's of new meme-coins appearing each week during the height of the meme-coin hype.
99% of those are all dead now again obviously and only a few of them like Shiba-Inu are still there.
The longterm trend for meme-coins is downwards in my opinion because they are completely useless.

I already have some experience in these meme coins and it wasn't really good. I give up trusting these coins, not just because they are shitcoins but it was because earning money from them is even impossible. Just look how Dogecoin changed its price during the bull season, not even it had the chance to surprise us but seem to be manipulated. From that moment, I'd see no fortune for these coins as I'd rather take ETH, or SOL instead.

It doesn't matter if those exchanges promote meme coins as you claim that does not mean anything. People that have invested in meme coins before I believe didn't do so because of Binance and Kucoin but out of their own will to take risk and for those that it worked out for, nice. Whether we say don't invest people will still do so, Some of us are more willing to take more risk than others and people have seen meme coins as one quick way to make money regardless of whether it is also a quick way to lose money as well.

Exchanges have no business with meme coin or any other coins, they are there for the business and provide the service for you to buy or sell what you want depending on what they have. So if you see meme coin in the exchange, it doesn't mean they forcing it on you or any body but the choice has to be yours on your decision to buy either value coins or meme coins. Investors that go for meme coin do that for their own reason known with them. They may hodl meme coin for just a short time to pump and they dump because they know it won't go steady up the road.

To answer your question, it is worth looking at how many meme coins exist and how many of them managed to grow enough to bring significant profit. It doesn’t take a big mind to understand that there are hundreds of them, perhaps thousands, but how many of them we know, which are well-known, there are only a few of them. Therefore, this is a lottery with a very small probability of winning. If you are a lucky person and want to try your luck, then you can do it, but do not have high hopes for this investment, it will be like a lottery. Now when the market is in a drawdown, it is better to pay attention to bitcoin, or if you really want to invest in altcoins, then look at the top ones, I think that in the future this will bring more results than buying at random meme coins.
