141  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any good Bitcoin games around? on: August 20, 2018, 01:55:10 AM
Bitcoin games kind of went oblivion.  The games we used to have were very difficult to pass and there was little or no payouts during that time.  So,  I guess this removed the interest from people and resulted in less people going for Bitcoin  games which means,  they stopped making them as well.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin become an asset on: August 20, 2018, 01:44:53 AM
I can say Bitcoin is a combo of both subjects.  It can be seen as an asset but a  very volatile one at that; however,  even real life assets are volatile as well.  It can  also be used as a currency and medium for exchange as some merchants already accept Bitcoin as means of payment.  So yes,  Bitcoin can be an asset or a  currency,  depending on your personal preference.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready for cryptocurrency? on: August 16, 2018, 07:32:50 AM
Bitcoin and its underlying technology, The Blockchainis a revolutionary innovation in the world of technology.  It's features are top-notch and can provide solutions to various types of problems.  Most importantly,  giving us full control over our assets,  then there is little or no need to use stressful and archaic bank procedures when making monetary transactions. Bitcoin can also be seen as a store of value and a medium for exchange. This shows that Bitcoin  is valuable and since we are moving progressively,  then  Bitcoin can be the next generation of payments thereby knocking out fiat and banks,  just the way fiat knocked out trade by barter.

For me, I see Bitcoin as the future and there is no doubt that the ones that believe that this is the future are definitely ready for it.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest in Crypto currencies without fiat. on: August 16, 2018, 02:22:59 AM
This is a well compiled list that will surely work for those without Fiat to actually invest into cryptocurrencies. Bounties and airdrops can see you be a crypto participant without prior investment. But an investment with Fiat will be very paramour to your success in this sphere.  Make some research, Take your spare cash and actually invest into a particular crytpo or better still diversify your investment across various coins.  Peace Smiley
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are investors got tired of ICOs? on: August 16, 2018, 02:16:43 AM
Majority of the investors that most ICO gets are always there to make profits. Very few care about the project itself. We have seen ICOs give investors as high as 1000% in profits and this is what brought in hype and crowd.  The current market situation can't guarantee such huge gains anymore and this is why the ICO hype seems lost.  Immediately the market picks up, then we will see the hype and noise once more.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is IDEX exchange legit? on: August 16, 2018, 02:11:30 AM
Idex is an awesome exchange.  I like the fact that it is decentralized; so it is free from centralized authority.  Idex is a good exchange as deposits are confirmed immediately and withdrawals are processed immediately.  We need no further authentication or what not and we don't have to answer to any centralized body.  I have used it countless times and the only times I experienced problems is when the entire ethereum network is congested.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: August 16, 2018, 02:05:58 AM
Bitcoin is the pioneer of cryptocurrency and that entails a lot. Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency out there and the most valuable. Ethereum can surpass it but only in terms of usage and adoption.  The king will always be king.  Keep that in mind.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins kept in exchange, are they safe? on: August 16, 2018, 02:01:12 AM
Coins can be kept in exchanges.  But you have to be weary of certain exchanges and pick exchanges with a high reputation in security. But your best bet if you want to hold for long term will definitely be storing in your personal wallet as this guarantees maximum security and puts you fully in charge.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is 'useless as a payment mechanism and ridiculous as a store of value on: August 16, 2018, 01:45:38 AM
I know one thing; Bitcoin and altcoins have come to stay.  We can finally get rid of huge charges and slow transactions as these have been perfected in some crypt currencies already.  Try moving a little as $2000 with PayPal and see the ridiculous charges you will incur.  Yet about $2m was moved with ripple and the charges was less than $0.01 and it took just 5 seconds.  This should tell us a lot.  THIS IS THE FUTURE.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is 'useless as a payment mechanism and ridiculous as a store of value on: August 16, 2018, 01:41:26 AM
Now,  these people at PayPal are now beginning to hate Bitcoin and the exceptional solutions it brings.  This is a better option to PayPal and they know it,  so they badmouth it to the public so they can keep their loyal customers.

Hi there!

We’re stoked to let you know that you can now start claiming your reward from the Arweave bounty program!

We want to thank you for your contributions and for the hard work you’ve put into writing articles and reviews, designing infographics, filming videos, and creating so much impressive content about Arweave.

With your contribution to the Arweave bounty campaign, you have earnt the following amount of AR tokens:

Article: 50 AR

Here’s how you claim your bounty reward:

1) Generate your new wallet

Follow this link https://me.upvest.co/ and complete a few simple steps to create your wallet with our first wallet partner, Upvest. This should take only a few minutes to complete. Your wallet will be generated in an extremely secure fashion, so that only you will ever have access to it. You can verify the validity of this email and the Upvest.co wallet by checking your browser’s ‘secure’ padlock symbol in the URL bar, and by noting the Upvest logo among our partners.

Please note that AR tokens are native tokens, not ERC-20 tokens, so existing wallets (such as MyEtherWallet) are not compatible with AR tokens.

2) Directly reply to this message (quoting this message) carefully confirming your new Upvest wallet address.

Please be careful when copying & pasting this, because this is where we will send your AR tokens. Tokens sent to invalid addresses cannot be recovered.

You can obtain your Upvest wallet address by signing in to your Upvest wallet (https://me.upvest.co/signin), clicking the ‘Deposit’ button, and then clicking the ‘Copy wallet address’ button.

---

Once your wallet is set up and you have confirmed your wallet address, we’ll transfer your AR tokens to it in the next batch. You will be able to see your wallet balance as soon as your tokens have been sent to you, and you will receive an email from Upvest when the tokens reach your wallet.

Thank you for joining us in building a truly permanent public, open, borderless, and decentralised new form of blockchain that will allow anyone to create and immutably store content for our collective future. With your help, we are achieving permanent, low-cost, and truly censorship free data storage for the very first time.

If you have any questions, reach out to us via team@arweave.org, we’ll be happy to help.

Best,
Arweave team

152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to reinvest into ETH? on: July 22, 2018, 02:54:58 AM
Anytime is a good time to buy Ethereum for me. It has shown good price movements over the past months and has maintained a steady price range. Also, Ethereum tends to follow-suite bitcoin's trend and we all know that when the bulls take control once more, bitcoin goes crazy and it's craziness will definitely rub off on ETH.

I load my bags with ETH with every chance I get. You should too. For now, let's wait for the bulls to gain control of the market.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big news for bitcoin and crypto currency on: July 22, 2018, 01:14:44 AM
This is a  step in the right direction for cryptocurrencies at large. I am so happy to hear this great news as this will attract Swiss money to the crypto market. I just hope the bulls make good use of this update and create an uptrend for all cryptocurrencies.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Samsung To Accept Cryptocurrencies As Payments- Good or Bad? on: July 21, 2018, 01:42:47 PM
I was surfing reddit and I stumbled on this post: https://news.livecoinwatch.com/samsung-makes-cryptopayments-possible/
It says that soon, Samsung, the IT giants from Korea are planning to start accepting cryptocurrencies as means of payments. Is this a right step in the right direction for Bitcoin and Alts alike or is this bad news for us?
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Real World Blockchain Uses on: July 21, 2018, 10:15:08 AM
This post: https://101blockchains.com/blockchain-applications/ shows 45 areas in the real world where blockchain can be utilized in.

I noticed that in some cases, some great blockchains were sidelined. For example in the case of Social Media, Steemit.com was neglected.
Take a look at it and give me your opinions on which is true and which isn't. Better still, I will also like to know which blockchains should be in that list. Peace
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bill gates says cryptocurrency is bad on: July 20, 2018, 05:55:54 PM
Complete decentralisation is bitcoin's best feature and might be it's worst as well. It has enhanced money laundering, task evasion and others but it has also enhanced fast, cheap and easy transactions. Maybe He has a reason for saying bitcoin is bad but hey, I'm making money and that's all I could ask for.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in Alts vs BTC? on: July 20, 2018, 05:50:58 PM
Investment in altcoins should be your decision. Bitcoin has made its mark, it's already turn.
Although bitcoin still remains the king and has brought massive returns to the early birds but it's trend is now slow and yielding very little returns. But alts are making waves and producing massive returns for investors and traders alike. Investment in altcoins should yield more for you in the short and long term.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is For Risk Takers on: July 20, 2018, 02:18:29 PM
I'll rather invest into bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies than invest into stocks and real estate. That's because I like taking risks.

Risks are on check in these markets and where there is no risk, there is no reward. I'll invest in a high-risk market and reap high rewards than invest in low-risk; cause that also equals low reward.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is For Risk Takers on: July 20, 2018, 02:15:56 PM
Every form of investment is a risk. The cryptocurrency market is yet to make it's mark and it's still full of manipulation and that's why there is a lot of FUD. But the few that took the risk and invested are wise and they are bound to reap bountifully when this market becomes more stable.

A wise man once said, "Success is only for the risk takers."
I couldn't agree more.
