141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why ICOs fail on: January 24, 2019, 09:00:32 AM
Being complicated may be one of the reasons. And I agree. Some investors may be not "tech" person while the project of the ICO could not give an easier to be understand explaination regarding to the project. This will be marketing problem and should be solved by, for example, an easy understandable infographic.

Meanwhile, uniqueness or new concepts may be one of another reasons to attract investors. But if the new concept is not expected to meet market needs in the future, this will also be a failure.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will it still last? on: January 24, 2019, 08:41:50 AM
Sometimes the drowning market condition make me down and feel hopeless. But when I recognize that the crypto adoption is starting to be implemented around the world, I become optimistic to what will come in the  near future.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I cursed? on: January 24, 2019, 08:38:06 AM
It has nothing to do with cursed lol. I also has experienced with the same situation like yours and it happened not only once or twice,l but often. I think the matter was that I hold to many tokens/coins so that I might have missed the chance when a token should be hold or sold at a moment. Somehow I could not follow the news and the develepment progress of one project, so I should have missed the right moment to make decision.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the Ethereum Fork bring about price increase? on: January 23, 2019, 12:04:48 PM
I think it will bring the price increase, especially when this upgrade/fork is successfully implemented and solve the the mining and scalability related problems. Though I think it will not significantly, but it will increase.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH after "Constantinople" on: January 23, 2019, 11:51:47 AM
It is indeed not a good news for miners when the block reward decreased from 3 eth to 2 eth. But sometime, an option must be taken to solve other problems. The transition from Pow to PoS algorithm will might bring SEC attention. Whether it will violate the securities law or not, I have not hear any news about it yet.
But I think this upgrade/fork will bring more features, so hopefully will bring good atmosphere as well.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it bad for altcoin that BTC is dropping on: January 23, 2019, 11:37:38 AM
Good or bad for the altcoin if the BTC goes down depending on the perspective of each person. For some traders, moments like this will be an opportunity to buy.
In general, the main currency on the crypto market is Bitcoin besides ethereum and several others. However, Bitcoin is the central economy of all crypto currency markets. And because of the BTC trading pair in each exchange, and in addition, it tends to fund the altcoin's operation, so that Bitcoin will always influence the Altcoins.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bounty hunter paid USDT? on: January 20, 2019, 07:11:32 AM
do you agree if the bounty hunter is paid USDT?
the good or bad impact on investors and the development of the ICO project, give your reasons
I am sure all bounty hunters will agree if paid with usdt. But I think only a handful of projects are willing to pay with usdt. Some of the campaigns I have participated in have paid with eth or btc.
The logic is simple, they do ico to raise fresh funds for project development. Using usdt as a reward for the bounty hunter is the same as spending fresh funds that should have been used for project development collected from ico.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can A Cryptopia Exchange Got Hacked Simple Like that ? on: January 19, 2019, 10:16:22 AM
Questions that are difficult to answer. It might be hacked. However, why do they have to run away with people's money? Before this incident, were there any reasons or indications that the exchange suffered a loss and did this ? This incident has been reported and being investigated by the authorities, so let's wait the result.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid Dump after listing on: January 19, 2019, 09:58:28 AM
I don't think it can be avoided. Locking investors tokens for certain period and unlock gradually may be a good option to reduced the dump, but it also feel unfair, because investors have their right to do upon their assets, even if they suffer loss. This could be happened when they see the project they invest earlier become unconvincing anymore and decided to sell as soon as the token hit exchange.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be regulated on: January 19, 2019, 09:09:53 AM
I agree. ICO needs to be regulated to prevent fraud. With the registration of the company and team members from the project that is hosting the ICO, I am sure fraud at ICO will decrease. But what kind of institution is appropriate and suitable to be an ICO regulator, this will be another topic of discussion.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ERC20] INSTATOR [ Make your profile work for you full time ] on: January 18, 2019, 02:45:13 PM
Does this project have a direct relationship with Instagram as you mentioned above? The logo you use is also similar with instagram. Please at least provide link to your website so we can find more information about this project.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bank and crypto industry unite or be linked? on: January 18, 2019, 07:39:49 AM
Basically, banks and krypto have different basic principles, namely centralized and decentralized. So I don't think banks and krypto will be united, maybe they can be linked or rather mutual benefits cooperation with various terms and conditions.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Bounty Hunters Hate KYC !!! on: January 18, 2019, 07:18:46 AM
Literally, KYC (Know your customer) is clearly intended for investors who buy (customer) tokens / coins from a project or ICO, while bounty hunters don't make purchases.
Our identity is something valuable and personal. Submitting identity documents to other parties is of course at risk. Not to mention we are not even clear the party can be trusted or not. Another reason is, the rewards of the bounties that we follow are not commensurate with giving up our identity. Who will give their identities for a couple bucks? I won;t
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Trust Blockchain ? on: January 18, 2019, 06:46:27 AM
According To expect they always say blockchain can never  be hacked and your information can never be stolen .. But day in day out Hacker are hacking  crypto exchanges to steal people asset , ETH Suspended hard Fork because  of security  reason . HitBTC and Cryptopia are understand maintenance  because of hacker .  Are   they Using block-chain technology  to  deceive Us ?...
Blockchain indeed can not be hacked. It is an incorruptible, decentra;ized distributed public digital ledger. The crypto exchanges you mentioned are a centralized exchanges. It;s the matter of the exchanges security system. And obviously these are two different things.
Regarding to ETH Constantinople upgrade which was postponed, it's a vulnerable security issue and related to smart contract, not the blockchain issue. So again, these are two different things.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Postponed ICO after bounty campaign on: January 16, 2019, 11:26:03 AM
I don't think that postponed ico  and waiting will work too much. If the product is already ready and suitable for use, you can collect funds even if you are in the bear market.

I agree with your opinion. If the project already has a product, whether it's a prototype or an MVP, as long as the product has potential and on demand in the market, I think ICO will run smoothly despite the current market conditions.
ICO delay may also be one solution when the team sees the progress does not seem to be going well. And here the role of advisors is needed especially for startups.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Constantinople Hard fork to be delayed on: January 16, 2019, 11:08:57 AM
The much anticipated upgrade to Ethereum network is set to be delayed yet again to a yet to be known date due to critical vulnerabilities discovered on the to be implemented upgrade, according to Coindesk.

Smart contract audit firm ChainSecurity flagged Tuesday that Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 1283, if implemented, could provide attackers a loophole in the code to steal user funds. Speaking on a call, ethereum developers, as well as developers of clients and other projects running the network, agreed to delay the hard fork – at least temporarily – while they assessed the issue.

Participants included ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin, developers Hudson Jameson, Nick Johnson and Evan Van Ness, and Parity release manager Afri Schoedon, among others. A new fork date will be decided during another ethereum dev call on Friday.

Discussing the vulnerability online, the project’s core developers reached the conclusion that it would take too long to fix the bug prior to the hard fork, which was expected to execute at around 04:00 UTC on Jan. 17.

Called a reentrancy attack, the vulnerability essentially allows an attacker to “reenter” the same function multiple times without updating the user about the state of affairs. Under this scenario, an attacker could essentially be “withdrawing funds forever,” said Joanes Espanol, CTO of blockchain analytics firm Amberdata in a previous interview with CoinDesk.

He explained:

“Imagine that my contract has a function which makes a call to another contract… If I’m a hacker and I’m able to trigger function a while the previous function was still executing, I might be able to withdraw funds.”
The quote from the last sentence sounds terrible. "withdrawing funds forever". The quote from the last sentence sounds terrible. "withdrawing funds forever".  Shocked
It's unfortunatelly that the long-awaited moment must be postponed "again". But I prefer this delayed upgrade and wait patiently. And thanks to ChainSecurity for finding this vulnerability problem, if not, it will be a big problem when the upgrade is implemented.

157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is CMC still safe at all ?? on: January 13, 2019, 07:45:05 AM
1. Many dead projects still on cmc

2. Market cap is fake Cox many projects which have seized to trade adds up to the market cap

3. Cmc doesn't verify authenticity of projects before listing it

4. CMC now have ads of fake icos on their website thereby leading people to scammers
All these problems are well expected as I did heard about them that they are charging very big fee to list a coin with them. Hence, it is easier for many scammers to list their coins on top regardless of its actual's. I do see lots of alternatives are available over the internet but I am not sure why most people from crypto community is always going to coinmarketcap for referencing and also the worst case is people looking at it for choosing their assets for trading/long term holding. That must be a real pathetic.

Showing your banners in coinmarketcap is not cheaper still we can see many scammy projects are being shown up. But, bitcointalk is very much conscious on choosing their advertisers like I have seen @theymos was asking about list of legit projects for considering for their monthly ad auctions. This is how a famous portal must care its community and I am afraid that coinmarketcap may become a house for scammers like many crypto forums are already doing.
So true. Regardless of the flutuation rate in the market and the pros and cons of blockchain technology and crypto currencies adoption throughout the world, one of the causes can come from things like this. It would be very unfortunate if in its infancy and adoption was tarnished by fraudulent practices, especially if indeed CMC and similar portals which had a good reputation and could be trusted were proven to be involved and in fact became places for fraudsters in action.

My concern is on the project verification process that will advertise on their site so that it can reduce advertisements that turn out to be scam projects.
158  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Apakah kalian percaya dengan profil animasi para developer? on: January 13, 2019, 05:59:05 AM

159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Twogap - Thriving the Cryptocurrency Market with CRYPTOBONDS. on: January 11, 2019, 06:30:22 AM
As it's stated in my dashboard, i have some qty of TGT tokens received from airdrop.
What can i do with those tokens?  Can i withdraw it to my ETH wallet?
I don't see any exchange link on the site. When do you plan to get listed  on an exchange?

from info I got on their telegram channel, at this time we have not been able to withdraw in this month
and tokens are also not yet listed in the market, but they say that token will soon be listed in the market this month, we just wait
The token sale is still ongoing, so I don;t think the wiitdrawal is available until it ends. The withdrawal will be avaliable at the end of this month as well as exchange listing as they said in telegram.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 PRIVATIX 🚀 - Get Paid for Unused Internet 🚀 on: January 11, 2019, 06:15:47 AM
Get paid for unused internet bandwidth. I am really excited to know how this platform work. But I am not a person with technical background so it is a little difficult to understand how it work. Clearly, as the user of internet, I am sure the are so many idle internet bandwitdh can be monetized. Hopefully this platform will provide user-friendly interface to operate it.
