Eh.  I waited patiently for a new wallet that wasn't a pain in the ass to use and got it.  I'll be patient with the staking.  No big deal.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Market Collapse / Mining Profitability on: February 10, 2018, 02:51:22 PM
I dont think many ppl sell their mined coins instantly. Atleast i hope they dont  Grin When the market takes a dive you just dont sell the mined coins, we all know it will go back up again. I hate when ppl talk about "daily profits" etc in mining, becourse you sell on ATHs etc to get the most out of your mining.
A lot of people I think prefer to take what they can get when they can get it especially those who are doing this to pay all their bills and need the liquidity.  Quite a lot of alt coins are bad long term investments and everyone knows it.  They don't want to get caught holding the bag so they get rid of it quickly.

The unpredictability of it makes things difficult and you really need to know what you're doing to be able to know the difference between something that sounds great but has no real use case or long term value and something that does.  A lot of people like myself here who just got started within the last few months and honestly don't know - so they tend to stick with nicehash or trading off what they mine immediately.

I looked at the website and did google search before posting here regarding the rig frame spec.  Unable to locate anything concrete there.

Did not realize how long the GPU was until it was too late to take that into consideration.

If that isn't a good enough explanation for you then put me on ignore and please shut the fuck up.

PS:  GPU is msi 1080ti DUKE

If you find a good coin just keep it to yourself.
OK Mr. Selfish pants.  Didn't mom teach you to share??   Grin

Because I don't have possession yet and would want to send back ideally unopened if it's not going to work.

Make sense now?
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Max length gpu on: February 10, 2018, 05:55:17 AM
I have a couple 320mm GPU. Will they fit in a Veddha rig frame or will fans interfere?  Thanks

OK help a dum dum here please guys.

If you add a second PSU and just want to power two more GPU and two risers with that second PSU.  How do you trigger that PSU to turn on?
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 08, 2018, 07:47:37 PM
The core temp doesn't even touch 60c.  Case has good airflow and this is a liquid cooled AIO GPU.

Not real concerned about it substantially affecting the longevity of the card.

And yes - spmod1 for the miner client.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PSU max load on: February 08, 2018, 02:05:23 PM
I've read you don't want to go over 80% generally.

If you're at or near that limit I'd be looking at upgrading the PSU.

Trying so hard to get this evga sc2 hybrid to be stable w/phi algo at 40 MH/s just going to have to settle for 39.5.   Embarrassed

+120 tdp
+100 core
-400 memory

^^ much past that it crashes after a few hours or sooner

No matter what TDP or voltage I set with afterburner ccminer eventually crashes.  Temps aren't even hitting 60c.  Just doesn't want to quite make it.  Booooooooo  Tongue

Sweet back to mining now on BSOD.

So much for 0% fees.   Sad

Eh.  Back to zcoin until they get the pools up.   Smiley

Mine appears to be working fine this morning.  Synced up over last night.  Payouts are showing fine on the wallet from mining.

I sort of prefer the skin on the old wallet better than this one but I'll take the improved functionality over aesthetics ANY day.  Glad to see they got the not responding issues seemingly sorted out here.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining going to die soon? on: February 06, 2018, 01:29:39 PM
With prices in the toilet at least I won't owe the IRS a lot of income tax on this.  So I got that going for me.   Grin

Ah its working now good.  Thanks

How long is this supposed to take to connect?  I have added nodes into the conf file and the wallet still just wants to sit there with the red radar dish and no connection.

I started mining this afternoon on futurecoins and it shows the pending is 0.31754173 LUX.

How much time does it take or how much do I need to mine before I get a payout?  Balance still shows 0
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 05, 2018, 02:04:07 PM
Like the rest of the 3 month club I got into it at the high.  I didn't really expect it to stay up there but am surprised it has dived down this far.  I didn't do my research.  I expect BTC will get to $5K or lower.  It sucks that it drags alts right down with it.

I paid MSRP for all my stuff and don't plan on selling or quitting unless it gets to the point that I'm not breaking even.  This is a good time to mine stacks and hold onto them. Hopefully as people give up hash rate drops off and it gets easier for those who stick it out.  Choose a few good coins that aren't total garbage and hold onto them for a year or more.  Who knows - might pay off.   Smiley

Here in the US the benefit to lower prices is less income tax reported from mining.  At least we have that going for us.  lol

Another benefit is GPU prices should take a steep decline in the next 30-60 days if market prices stay down.  People are going to give up.  And that means for gamers they can get cards and I don't have to listen to any more whining and complaining on forums.

None of the pools are working.  It's all down right now.
