Something tells me Russia doesn't give a flying <bip> about USA. Russia said no to war in Syria and USA backed down...
142  Other / Off-topic / Re: can you tell me what this image represents? on: October 16, 2013, 02:21:07 PM
It looks like some kind of a building with a door....
143  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The problem with atheism. on: October 16, 2013, 10:54:15 AM
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9  He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might.

Hmm. This just reaffirms my belief that the Christian god is a vain and prideful asshole. Who the hell tortures people for eternity just because they don't give them attention or worship him?

That's easy, the Ori do Smiley

144  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The problem with atheism. on: October 14, 2013, 01:09:02 PM
The Bible says in Matthew 10:33 "But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven."

Atheists don't deny god. To deny god, one must first acknowledge him. Atheists don't even go that far. They just ignore him completely, as if he doesn't exist. And if they die and go to heaven, they'll be like, "Oh, hey, sup. Guess you're real after all. OK." And not, "Ash! You're real! I deny you!"

As Atheist I don't refuse to believe in God, I simply chose my version of truth that he is a fairy tale. I chose not to believe in a story of a all mighty being with infinite knowledge that is committing mass genocide, killing kids and babies. An all mighty being that impregnated a virgin by himself and late she gave birth to himself. Talking snake, woman created from a rib and so on. Reward for living life according to religious rules doesn't apply to atheists, since I had sex without being married, I eat what am not supposed to and so on...
So yes, God doesn't exist, there is no heaven or hell...

I never disputed that. All I said is that I don't find that reaching petahash is something amazing and unexpected considering new miners come each week and new ppl thinking they will earn quick money.
149  Other / Politics & Society / Re: We humans... on: September 30, 2013, 05:35:18 PM
If all that "power" would be used for something greater then a  personal gain it would something worth of attention and praise. If we all combine our unused processing power from 100s of millions of computers we would achieve much much more. But we are only "there" to make money, nothing else....

reality check dude!

How long did it took you to come up with 3 words? No really do enlighten me?

If you are, hmm lets say not looking at a bigger picture it is your problem. All I said it is not hard to achieve something without the bigger goal in mind. Yes combined power is Ok, and it is only used for a single purpose and that is to make money, nothing else. Also reality check, as you surf the web, watch movies, listen to music on your computer, only a small part of your computer power is used, what do you think would be the power of a lets say network containing every computer in the world.
So reaching a petahash inst a big deal considering every week there are new miners out there made for only one purpose, to make money.
150  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stolen BTC from MtGox on: September 30, 2013, 04:54:22 PM
What I do to avoid phishing is having a laptop that I use only to access my wallet and site related to bitcoins but not forums. Also Im using 22 letter password, composed of upper and lower case letter, numbers... I don't use words from dictionary that could be brute forced much faster. Its not a 100% safe system, but so far, so good.
But most important thing is, NEVER use a computer that you use for normal stuff ( surfing, chatting, exchange of files... ) for accessing your wallet, keep those 2 separated.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: IF ONLY THE BITCOIN COMMUNITY WAS LIKE THIS on: September 30, 2013, 04:46:55 PM
I don't really think phone was giving just like that. There has to be something behind it, some commercial comes to my mind. Also technical goods have diminishing value, their value will drop and true value isn't real since in many cases you don't pay for what you get but for a company name/brand. Bitcoins are virtual good/currency + there is no known company behind it that will benefit from giving it away and posting that on YT. So comparing those things isn't an option.

Wouldn't doubt it...

There are people who buy a happy meal, and hold on to it for years... It looks like it never changed... And you want me to feed that to my kids? Umm.. Pass...

I tried that. Mine never looked like that. Its all about how you prepare it and where you keep it. I kept my in a room, not covered on a room temperature.

And I if I understood right, he is ranting since he seen strange things under a microscope?
Thats not valid at all....
154  Economy / Economics / Re: Can someone explain this drop for all the main crypto-currencies? on: September 26, 2013, 10:35:05 AM
If those currencies are mainly based on Bitcoin trade they will follow drops in price according to Bitcoin drop.
155  Economy / Economics / Re: ASICMINER blades now 3 Bitcoin Each on: September 26, 2013, 10:31:45 AM
I am not sure how good is to buy them. It will take you 3 months with current difficulty to pay them off, but we all know that it will take much longer considering difficulty is rising.
156  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New breakthrough in science hints at Intelligent Design on: September 23, 2013, 12:54:46 PM
How can a music be a prof of intelligent designer? Everything in the world and universe has its own frequency, giving music as a prof of a God is just stupid.
157  Economy / Economics / Re: Next technology paradigm on: September 23, 2013, 10:55:45 AM
If what is he saying is true then there are many many more waves.

Next big, lets say implementation of nano technology into daily life.
158  Economy / Economics / Re: How to actually start an anarchy? on: September 17, 2013, 05:42:50 PM
Starvation and water shortage is the key. Remove essential things that could keep us alive and there you go. In countries that are highly developed that is the best option. Civil disobedience, riots, millions on the street, fall of government and so on.
Or some scenario from a Zombie movie, like Walking Dead.
159  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to turn 2BTC into 4BTC on: September 17, 2013, 05:04:35 PM
You can earn that by playing the market, buy low, sell high. Basically sell for more then you bought + fees. I do that from time to time, so far I have always been in a + side Smiley
160  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Holy difficulty jump, Batman! on: September 16, 2013, 04:15:42 PM
Depends how it will adjust to the arrival of new miners, but to be hones I don't really see a point in mining with gpu's now when there are so many ASICS out there. Many sold their rigs months ago, same as me.
