141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FAIR] FairCoin - for a fair economy, featuring proof-of-cooperation on: December 17, 2017, 11:18:51 PM
The conversion process found here: https://github.com/faircoin/faircoin/wiki/FairCoin2-migration-FAQ  seems not work.
I've got the same issue and my wallet balance is still 0.
I've checked the lib and it sounds good.

What do you think about that ?

ps sorry for my broken english

Hi,
did you got the coins from airdrop? if yes, maybe there is no option to recover them.
if you want, send PM and I will help you to detect the problem.

So did this get figured out? Or the coins were from an airdrop?
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big Day for Ripple (XRP) tomorrow? on: December 17, 2017, 10:54:17 PM
Well, just in case I've bought myself a few Ripples. Not that I like this coin so much, but I thing it will rise anyway.

I don't like this coin much either  Cheesy But I remember when it was announced and it has fulfilled many many of its promises and the teams involved with it have generally been very professional,it has its place among cryptos, but my favorites are less than a buck right now.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 12-17-17 Crypto Market cap up 362,937,263,332 In just 1 month ((362 Billion)) on: December 17, 2017, 10:15:51 PM
So next time you ask "why is this coin or another skyrocketing in price" just look at total crypto currency market capitalizations at coinmarketcap.com

At the time of writing it is at 592,329,901,961

With so much money flowing into Crypto Currency prices are going to keep going up, trade volumes are going up everyday, if you are saving some of your fiat money for a rainy day and not throwing it into your favorite coin its possible you are going to kick yourself later.

What do you think the Market cap will be 1 month from now?

I bet it will triple or quadruple with so many people that are starting to invest right now.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verge XVG Dev team ? on: December 17, 2017, 09:45:44 PM
See I think there is almost no progress anymore the wallets are all troubled people complain about this like to no tomorrow they keep deleting. How u plan to pay if the wallets not work it is the foundation of this whole coin.
Also here is what I noticed I did have problems at the time when price was peak to move the coins to exchange wallet did not connect no way almost feel like somebody preventing so he can sell and when dump is done it works but price is much lower.

The thing stinks to me it is now in my pump and dump garbage compartment when it is below 150 I buy some maybe next time they need to call Elon Musk to make it go to 10 cent Smiley  Grin

The so called Dev is not the only person that is involved in this coin, if the wallet has problems then maybe you should start a thread to get help to improve the wallet and fork the chain with the wallet upgrades, no reason to smash the dev for something that can be taken care in a decentralized fashion.

Oh, I think this particular coin is supposed to be a decentralized currency so lets not put the dev in charge of it.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big Day for Ripple (XRP) tomorrow? on: December 17, 2017, 08:41:14 PM
Another day, same thread again. According to some members here every day will be a big day for ripple?  Roll Eyes
Everyday! Lol! But the rumors do seem to be thick and you know what they say, its best to buy on rumors.

So I bought a few.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum at $1000 in Jan 2018? on: December 16, 2017, 05:35:24 AM
I'm planning to buy some ETH, will it hit $1000 in 2018?

Need your suggestions

I'm 100% sure it will or even more the expectation for ethereum is very high and it is giving bitcoin a big fight coming through 2018, we could even see ethereum overtaking bitcoin with so many companies and projects using Ethereum so everything points to it's success.

$1000 is not going to be the ATH in 2018, it will be huuge

Qlink ICO - quite an interesting idea
by Dakro2017

Qlink is building the world's first decentralized mobile network. The existing telecom industry is slow, rigid and ripe for disruption. Through the integration of blockchain, users can contribute to the network by registering and sharing their telecom assets such as mobile data cap or SMS, essentially becoming virtual service providers themselves.
This will also give users the freedom to purchase services in a much more flexible way. For example, I could use Qlink tokens to buy mobile data when traveling abroad instead of incurring roaming costs, or content providers could use Qlink tokens to push their media to their intended audience without incurring mobile data consumption for their customers. (my next-door neighbor could be my internet provider, or content providers could purchase mobile data direct from data distributors.)
Qlink users will also be able to purchase data from traditional service providers through the platform, creating more options for users to customize flexible packages.
Qlink is launching its own BaseStation that will contribute to Wi-Fi and 4G coverage, meaning the network will have a decentralized infrastructure. This is a small device that's no bigger than a regular Wi-Fi router and will cost around $150.
The BaseStation is a solution to a whole range of problems. Firstly, it will allow the users to bring coverage to remote regions or areas prone to black spots. Secondly, it can help handle a load of mobile traffic in high population areas. Have you ever found it hard to get reception at a concert? Event organizers could bring in a few BaseStations to create more signal. Thirdly, it provides an alternative option to the traditional method of capital expenditure on infrastructure that would otherwise be required to roll out coverage to new areas.
Think about developing countries. Instead of spending a billion dollars on new infrastructure, we could simply deploy Qlink BaseStations and create coverage in a faster and more cost-effective way. Large organizations could register their corporate content to be distributed so that their employees, consultants, and partners all over the world would be able to receive it without incurring mobile costs, which is huge for global companies supporting a "bring your own device" model for mobiles.
It's important to note that the Qlink BaseStation can both supplement existing networks as well as create new coverage, so the Qlink concept on a whole is not dependent on the BaseStations being deployed but rather enhanced by it.
In addition, Qlink has signed an agreement with Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, Cenntro Auto, to integrate the Qlink BaseStation into their cars. This will allow Cenntro Auto to provide V2X services for the burgeoning internet of vehicles.
Every car will be registered on the NEO blockchain as a telecom asset and will use Qlink for mobile data billing, making it a perfect IoT solution. Production will begin after the BaseStation is complete in Q4 2018, meaning QLC tokens are already set up to have real utility.
As an added kicker, the BaseStation also has mining capability. So, when it is not being used for its data signal, it will mine the Qlink chain to process transactions, contributing to the security of the network and earning QLC tokens for the owner.
The Wi-Fi sharing market is huge. The biggest Wi-Fi sharing company in China has a $5 billion valuation alone. One problem is that Wi-Fi connections are insecure. If you Google "How do I steal a Wi-Fi password", you'll find plenty of information that will help you do just that. Qlink, on the other hand, can use the blockchain to authenticate a Wi-Fi connection and authorize the P2P distribution of a password direct to the users’ device. This is inherently more secure than current methods of Wi-Fi sharing.
In addition, it's expensive to set up and manage Wi-Fi on an enterprise level, so businesses who provide public Wi-Fi hotspots will look to offset costs with advertising. Qlink will also allow the sharer to set up smart contracts, meaning they can be rewarded for sharing their connection in QLC tokens through billing, donations, or by participating in content distribution.
Speaking of content distribution, Qlink's content distribution platform enables never before possible use cases. By accurately being able to track and record when content is accessed, Qlink can bill data usage not only to the user accessing the content, as is the traditional method, but it is also possible to bill the data to a third party.
This means content providers like video streaming services, online education platforms, and perhaps even cloud storage providers could sponsor the cost of data required to access their content and take that burden off the users.
This technology also allows content owners to reward users for viewing content. QLC bounties can be set and distributed to users who consume sponsored content. Potential use cases could be a movie studio incentivizing viewing of a trailer for an upcoming movie, or a new TV series incentivizing people to watch the first episode to get them hooked.
The content distribution platform benefits all parties in the ecosystem. Content distributors have a new channel to distribute and promote content, users can access content for no cost of data, or even be rewarded for viewing content, and data providers have a new revenue stream as they'll be able to sell data directly to the content providers. Qlink will also enable a QLC to fiat clearance gateway to make it easier for traditional service providers to participate and sell data on the network.
Qlink's team already have plenty of experience building mobile network technology. Chief architect, Allen Li, is a former Huawei software engineer and multiple patent owner. He also founded a company called Youyou Mobile which builds Wi-Fi devices that allow travelers to have data access all over the world. Another member of the development team, Chris Zhao, is a senior 3GPP protocol engineer who built Youyou Mobile's virtual sim from the ground up. Qlink also has many respected advisors including, Shuhuang Xie, co-founder of Alibaba Group, and Mock Pak Lum, who is the former CTO of StarHub, the second biggest telco in Singapore.
• ICO Token sales: Strategic: 10k ETH is locked up for 1 month with 30% bonus. Pre-sale 30k ETH has no lockup with 10% bonus. Crowd sale: roughly 10k ETH is sold with no lockup and no bonus.
The Strategic partners have a lockup of 1 month, but will most likely be long holders as they are actively helping/connected with the project Also, their bonus is not that steep, considering they have had to pay far in advance.
Most of you probably know by now that 'Whales' tend to be long-term investors. Nonetheless, this is worth mentioning/taken as a concern as a dump from them could take out momentum. On the other hand, the 'whales' really don't have that much of an advantage, as it’s just a 10% bonus and they have also had to pay much earlier.
Their total cap is at approximately 15M, which is quite cheap.
The Qlink tokens are NEP-5, meaning they are on the NEO chain and can be paid for with NEO. They have chosen for the NEO chain due to the high TPS and their strong connections with Onchain (Company behind NEO)

150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum at $1000 in Jan 2018? on: December 16, 2017, 05:20:53 AM
everybody remain optimistic, that just shows ethereum have great userbase. a coin like that should be over 1k already. it will worth the wait, trust me. when you listen the crowd you can see everybody want 1k. nobody want to put sell pressure over this hype. ride the waves, not against the waves.

ETH is poised to attain a price of $5000 with its current design, but it is possible that it could take a huge fall if the competing platforms that are similar beat it to Popular market integration, I suggest some token coaching needs to be encouraged,  Devs do what they want within the network but now that so many early adopters have most likely exceeded their expectations concerning their investment they probably ought to start thinking about how to help the crypto be a sustainable network that won't be run over by the big cash in the world banks.
Every damn bank with state backing is researching and testing crypto to integrate the technology into their business design, and that my friends... will make these coins and tokens fall off the cliff.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are all tokens shit? on: December 16, 2017, 04:51:48 AM
No, did you get burned?

nope im just observing.

I like to think that the tokens have played a big part in developing the decentralized blockchain, without the tokens the non tech folks like myself might not have been able to understand the importance of the technology and how it plays into our modern lives, i have a few idea's of how tokens could be used in certain applications that would promote the use of a blockchain platform further than just in the tech trades, I think at this point the banks are going to beat the rest of us to the punch and the blockchain technology is going to be used and abused in a centralized fashion across the globe and the decentralized idea will be just as it was in 2011 - a work in progress
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Haha! I think Litecoin is in the Process of breaking Bittrex, LOL on: December 15, 2017, 04:12:33 AM
Well congrats to the hodlers like me bought it when it was $5 for 1000 pieces now i cant imagine what my investment will give after a year or two.

Yes congrats! Snag a bottle of champagne you deserve it.

For now its dropping but still believe it will go to 1000$ in 2018.

These Crypto's always always always swing up and down, imagine having seen bitcoin at $270 in a dip, would you have bought some then? haha! I didnt..  Undecided
Should you buy some more Litecoin now? I don't know.. but its surely going to remain relevant wont it?
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your favorite altcoin exchange website? on: December 15, 2017, 03:57:04 AM
I flash back and forth with coinbase and bittrex, just works for me, and I am soon going to venture into poloniex and others just to check them out, going to see if I can pull some arbitrage profits, its probably easy the way coinbase sets its price - cant imagine its run by the traders.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Haha! I think Litecoin is in the Process of breaking Bittrex, LOL on: December 15, 2017, 03:46:18 AM

Why bloody today?

Bad news? It can’t be.

So it must be the whales that play with the small fishes?

Peace.

This thread tickles me - just saying -

Did anybody really catch on to what Charlie Lee talked about on the news the other day? The message as I saw it was LTC is a long term position- he is maintaining the original goals of the crypto community (on live T.V.) portraying LTC as a decentralized anonymous currency that is going to upend fiat (mainly the greenback), he did not play into Wall Street or the Banking game, he truly came out honest and told it how it is and what crypto is for, unlike the twins and so many others that are dragging BTC into a mess of regulations with their ETF's and other baloney, the whales are out splashing about and might have lost sight of what crypto was designed for and you can bet some of them speak of their wishes for a decentralized currency but how many are truly still involved in the movement (just a question guys),
LTC saw a spike coming from public awareness and those of us in the know picked some more up in support or in fun but can LTC really really pump like BTC at this point? Probably not (even though it has lately been killing it could it reach 16k?)- when the founder is dead set against it moving away from being decentralized and probably working towards keeping it there i think the Bears win with LTC and I think it will be further adopted as a payment coin cause there are alot of people involved in supporting decentralized coins that have been involved in crypto for well over 5 years and LTC has proven itself - it is the coin I use when I make crypto transfers, I buy it at one place and send it to another, cheaper and faster and I know i will be able to use it just moments after I send it to an exchange.

Hope your tickled by my comments.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Does anyone know how to restore an old Blockchain? 2014 Devs have any idea's??? on: December 14, 2017, 03:56:35 AM
Looking for someone that can restart a blockchain that went offline in 2014, is it possible to restart the qt and maintain all of the ledger records? Also... it would need to be able to not only restart but also restart and allow anybody with the original qt to update their old wallet and come online like nothing ever happened, anyone out there with the skills to do this? Google does not really have a good answer to my question..
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: R.I.P altcoin di BITTREX on: December 14, 2017, 03:02:35 AM
It is obvious that Bittrex has chosen the way of regulatory compliance. If you don’t like the idea of sending your id, bank statements and colonoscopy recordings to random people on internet, don’t use it. There are other options out there and hopefully decentralized exchanges will come to save the day in 2018.

How do you figure regulatory compliance? they do not use wallets on the trading platform and will lock up what they are calling a wallet to inhibit trading on that specific token or coin which restricts someones freedom from trading what is theirs, that is a bunch of shit, there is still no regulations or oversight so no need to worry there there is no regulatory compliance.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Forks Coming Out on: December 14, 2017, 02:42:35 AM
Hmmmmmm, new bitcoin forks are going to end up like the fork you refuse to use in your house at dinner, no matter what its made of its just not what you want, I really do not understand how people are getting into Forks that market to the same people, just use bitcoin people... cut out the forks and bitcoin would be at what $30,000 USD today?
naw it does not matter, I like a couple of em but would like to see some big move from the forks pushing into the real market where they can be spent somewhere, or on the web.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your favorite altcoin exchange website? on: December 14, 2017, 02:06:19 AM
Coinbase if I have to tell the truth, never had a problem with them, poloniex and Bittrex seem to lock up wallets that have high gains - pisses me off - hit a 56% return on an investment and you cannot cash out cause they have problems (probably just some kind of backroom extortion going on) them people should be rich by now and need to dump some cash into the infrastructure of their business so that altcoins can pump their value up and bring more people and businesses into the market.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POWR][UPDATE] *** POWER LEDGER TOKEN SALE STARTS FRIDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER *** on: December 12, 2017, 05:28:51 AM
A promising project with such an organized team. Waiting for the update of the airdrop and more bounty for this project.

YOu're on a fake twitter page, there is no air drop for POWR and bounty is finished.
You have to admit this is funny though right? When somebody comes in late to something expecting some type of airdrop or whatever, I laughed for a second over this  Cheesy
anyway..I hold some of these coins and hope more people adopt the idea, solar is a good way to become independent, independent avoiding one bill anyway, in the U.S. energy is so costly and  if there was a crypto involved in just promoting solar and showing people how the transactions of selling back to the grid with contracts could benefit them then more solar would make its way on top of houses and less people would pay for municipal energy.

People need to realise though that this is a real world business with trials that may lead to implementation. This will not be a quick earner but a long term investment.
I concur, it is already in the process of being implemented and it takes a little time, what I like about this startup is that there is physical work being done with it and its not just coding and selling - someone has to do the paperwork that I am sure is a headache, not all coins on this forum are pump and dump and for POWR to just move forward with their plans to integrate the coin into the solar grid and not focus on large profit is a noble effort from the team, I liken the coin supporters to dogecoin in a way, its not all about the money but about the vision of where it can go.
I have even thought of using it in my own brick and mortar company in the U.S.
