The game is getting better at each release. Still struggling to finish all levels so it will keep me busy for a while.

It's very fun to play and it can only get better and better.

Just catching up with things... Congrats with the presale Enjin team!

Nice work, looking forward to the actual public sale.  Smiley
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: September 18, 2017, 01:53:29 AM
I have more than 7000 offers but people only stored 40GB on my drive after 4 days of connection with 180 peers, I have a port with 1gbps but the

Client seems to work so slow. what happens if I shut down my system with that 40GB stored on my drive and never come back online? if the data is

Not lost and anyone stored some data with me will have their data safe on other drives seems like there are a lot of space being wasted just like the

Way Bitcoin mining works, miners compete for a block but only one miner gets the block. now for me it's a small space but what happens when this

System grows big, talking about 1 million TB, with that kind of storage space can we really store 6 million TB as data shards to make sure all the data

Is accessible without any down time?

If your node goes down the data will get replicated on other nodes. There isn't only once copy of the data there are multiple.
So doesn't matter if your node goes down someone else will have the pieces you store on other nodes.

145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BurstIQ (BIQ)💚 💢 💚 ▐ A Marketplace for Health Data & Services▐ 💚 💢 💚 on: September 12, 2017, 06:26:36 PM
I've seen the LifeGraph and Health Singularity mentioned in the whitepaper...

Could you elaborate on them? What is the vision? And why they matter?

Health Singularity is the idea that healthcare will soon be personalized down to each individual. Providers will no longer create treatment plans based on a particular diagnosis, or even based on similar groups of people with a particular diagnosis. They’ll be able to create a treatment plan that is specifically tailored for you, based on everything about you: your genomic and proteomic profile, your medical history, your family’s medical history, your lifestyle, etc.

But there are two things that have to be in place in order for Health Singularity to become a reality. First, the system needs to have enough data about each person that it can create a complete picture of that person – the more data is included, the more personalized the care can be. Second, there needs to be a complete profile for tens of thousands, or even millions of other people, so the system can find hidden trends and build predictive models. The more people are in the system, the more accurate the predictive models will be, and the more personalized care can become.

So here’s where LifeGraphs come in. The BurstIQ platform builds a LifeGraph for each person. The LifeGraph brings together data from all sorts of different sources: your primary care provider, your specialist doctors, that ER you visited once when you were on vacation, your dentist, your psychiatrist, your pharmacy, your pedometer, your glucometer… it can even pull in data from your social network accounts, if you choose to add those. By bringing together all of this data from different sources, the platform creates a complete picture of you – your LifeGraph. The more data is in each LifeGraph, and the more LifeGraphs there are, the closer we get to being able to achieve the Health Singularity.

Thanks for the extensive and prompt reply, appreciated, helps me a lot to understand.

I have a couple more questions in light of recent security breaches not only with health data but with data in general (read Equifax):

What sort of emerging trends and challenges exist around health data security and breaches?

How is BurstIQ seeking to address these concerns?

I was on desktop, and refreshing wasn't doing a trick at all Smiley
It doesn't matter if I tried in browser, or in app.

To be honest it is not my favourite app, but I like Storj and want to follow them so I use it. Smiley
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: September 09, 2017, 10:34:20 AM
Just wait for Netflix to find out they can reduce store costs 3 times by using decentralize store solutions like Storj. Jaja

That would be awesome! Can't wait for the day some major corporate starts using Storj! Smiley
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: September 08, 2017, 07:56:28 PM
You may have missed this so I post it here as it's an interesting recent interview with Shawn Wilkinson of Storj on Bittopia:

149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [STJ] STORJ Token Sale :: 19th May - 19th June on: September 08, 2017, 07:50:38 PM
Despite the positive reactions here, I got a negative view of this coin. China banned ICO and slew down on them. This ico might be one of the reason of these news. You simply don't gather 30 million dolar and then have the dev leave with a chunk of the code, or the team not providing news on time. You have to ask yourself, what did they provide to get such an amount of value... did they win the Nobel prize?

Just my 2 cents. Of course this view is biased because of poor performance of the coin, compared to others... but still.

I understand there are some issues with Chinese ICOs, but the reasons are more to do with Chinese scam icos not foreign ICOs.
Also Storj code is open source so the lead dev who left didn't take anything that is not publicly available for anyone else to fork and use.
However Storj doesn't have one dev only but plenty of them, you can simply check the team page and see for yourself.

Maybe you missed the integration with FileZilla which is pretty big and positive news:

http://blog.storj.io/post/163215547738/storj-and-filezilla-integration-bringing

It's work in progress but good news for the team and users.

Check the recent interview with Shawn Wilkinson on Bittopia: https://youtu.be/hPB88vW2O-4
It gives you an idea on what is next with Storj, the team is not going anywhere they are here to stay and deliver.

Bitcointalk may not be the best place to follow the project, you should join their community chat at https://community.storj.io if you want to stay tuned.
There are thousands (litterally) of community members who support the project as well as help it by sharing their spare storage.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storjcoin X (SJCX) - A Coin for Decentralized Cloud Storage on: September 06, 2017, 10:35:40 PM
Is Rocketchat working for you guys?
I have only dots blinking, and nothing is showing up.

If on mobile it does take a while before it loads up. Sometimes a couple of minutes, especially after they do a version update...

If on desktop just refreshing the page should do the trick.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] (QTUM) - A Scalable PoS Smart Contract Platform - TestNet Live! on: September 05, 2017, 09:20:31 AM
Isn't the QTUM Foundation based in Singapore?

So the PoBC ruling shouldn't affect people outside China or am I missing something?

Huge Chinese community involve into this project that's why this will face huge pressure big money from China invested into this project this ICO was hosted mostly on Chinese market and trading there. I hope this will get recover and will continue growing.

Understood however looks like Chinese ICO platforms are refunding money for tokens that haven't been delivered yet.
I think that contributors have received IOUs so not sure if that is considered no tokens recieved or not.

Understandably there will be some issues but each project and token will have to be scrutinized and I do think that Qtum doesn't represent a security so hopefully this will not affect them so much.

Qtum has its own blockchain so if they let Ethereum be they should let Qtum be too.
I think it's too early to speculate and we should wait and see how things develop following yesterdays ruling.

The project is solid, if regulators start getting in the way of innovation China may find itself behind other countries that have a more favourable approach to cryptocurrencies and blockchain tech.

Anyhow good luck to the team!
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ㉫ ENJIN COIN [PRESALE ON] Smart Gaming Currency + Virtual Goods Platform on: September 05, 2017, 09:10:27 AM
Nice one! That would make it easy for people to participate in the presale.

Also very convenient with ShapeShift integration, never used Coinomi but maybe it's time to give it a go, good list of supported tokens.

154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: September 04, 2017, 05:49:24 PM
Once I tried to run Storj share on my home computer but even after doing everything by the books I never got any offers after a week, recently

I installed the Storj share software on a vps and surprisingly not only I encountered any errors but immediately I got more than 100 peers and now

I'm at 400+ offers received. however with opening and forwarding all the ports, when I selected the port 4000 as a default strangely my connection

Shows another port with an orange color and it says tunnel. I need to read your guides to resolve that but why is it when I install any crypto wallet

I could just allow the wallet in my firewall and have as many connections both ways without any problem but when it comes to cryptos like Storj I'm

Having trouble, I believe with a Bitcoin wallet installed I am downloading and uploading files from more than 6 peers, so where is the catch it's not

That easy with Storj share? even though my brother told me this and other coins like it are all a big scam but I needed to verify for myself.

If this is supposed to work in such a way that every person with spare hard drive could rent their hard drives in order to achieve a true decentralized

Network it should also be as easy as a few clicks to run this software and start being the cloud, this is on the development team to make sure of it.

You can find a detailed guide with troubleshooting info here: https://docs.storj.io.

It helped me a lot. Ideally give a read to it all, otherwise you can skip to the relevant bits.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RightMesh (MESH) 🌟🌟🌟 A Decentralized Mobile Mesh Network 🌟🌟🌟 on: September 03, 2017, 11:56:43 PM
Mesh Networks + Blockchain seems to be a good match.

I think there are others trying to do the same thing with their own blockchain but haven't seen much being released yet.

Looking forward to see the whitepaper and to find out more about how the token works.

Also if there will be a token sale.

Watching this.
156  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Lealana 1LTC (2013, nickle?) pricing on: August 29, 2017, 11:01:29 AM
I've seen that the prices on eBay are quite high.
I sold 2x 10 LTC coins for $300 a few months back and a roll of 20x 1 LTC coins for a little more.
Guess I should have waited  Grin

That's good going, sounds like eBay is ok for selling physical crypto?

Just don't like the chargeback feature...
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not free to transfer bitcoins? on: August 29, 2017, 09:44:10 AM
Hi, I have heard that one of the good things about bitcoins is that it is free to transfer bitcoins between accounts/wallets with no fee and it is free to pay with it.
Now I have made deposited a small amount 10 euros to Copay and i want to move it to another wallet or buy something with it. I get this information when I try: Amount too low to spend, spending this balance will need significant bitcoin network fees!
Why is that? Are there a better way to store bitcoins?

Whichever way you store bitcoin there will always be network fees, so my suggestion is to use a wallet that allows you to customize your fee.

Always check what the number of transactions that are in the mempool when you want to transact and check the amount of fee required for the transaction size:

https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

So wait for a time (if you can) where the number of Txs in mempool is low. Fees should also be lower.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Accelerate your transactions! on: August 29, 2017, 08:26:00 AM
How do you accelerate a transaction? Is there a tool for doing that or is it just adding an extra fee to re-broadcast the same transaction?
159  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor vs Ledger nano S. on: August 29, 2017, 08:24:18 AM
Hello. I am using Trezor and I am very satisfied. What do you guys use? Trezor or Ledger? Why Trezor? Why Ledger?

Trezor is the first ever hardware wallet, Ledger came out not much later though.

They are both great choices and are priced accordingly. Ledger seems to have more models available.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How long to transfer a low fee transaction? on: August 29, 2017, 08:18:01 AM
Use https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ to calculate the fees required for your transactions.

Otherwise low fees will only guarantee you slow confirmations or no confirmations.
