I very much doubt your ponzi will even be around by the 30th, let alone that you'll pay anyone who was silly enough to promote it.
142  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounty OSX compile .07 EASY MONEY on: February 15, 2014, 05:22:21 AM
I mentioned above, src/qt/res/icons/mincoin.icns isn't there. That probably doesn't affect the Windows/Linux versions because the .icns is the one used for OSX apps, not Win/Linux.

As to the crashing, pass. If it works on Windows/Linux there's some subtle cross-platform bug there. It's not like I intentionally broke it before building it Smiley The next person to try building it will probably find exactly the same result unless my buildchain is fucked somehow, which is always possible I guess.
143  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounty OSX compile .07 EASY MONEY on: February 15, 2014, 05:13:05 AM
Whatever, I just built what you provided. I'm not gonna go digging for your missing resources and fix your code for 0.2BTC.
144  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounty OSX compile .07 EASY MONEY on: February 15, 2014, 04:00:28 AM
You're missing src/qt/res/icons/mincoin.icns so Mincoin-QT wouldn't build, as far as I can see.
I copied the bitcoin.icns, you can fix it in the resulting .app easily enough anyway by just replacing it in Resources/

If this is what you want, payment to 1BunF2PBV3zm6uofy4Zg1z8826oYbVQGbg ta Smiley

Link removed, since it didn't work.

2. Pending withdrawal of your Bitcoins; time lock?

How about allowing us to specify a withdrawal address that is then locked; coins can only be sent to this address. It can be unlocked, but upon doing so an email is sent notifying me that it's been unlocked and it takes a further 7 days or so before a new address can be entered?
146  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.01 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE on: February 12, 2014, 05:24:14 PM
Still paying out successfully. Awesome service.

This guy is cheating...  Shocked
how can you say this he is cheater have any proof of his cheating  Smiley

Seems just like a trolololo. Or he just wanted to make a joke Smiley
Any proof of cheating - we will like to see it first. Tongue

I think he's referring to the fact he's made it a tiny link, which you can see several posts above. Whether thats legit or not I couldn't say.

Yeah! Fuck Government! I don't want my bin collected weekly, or my street lit at night! I don't want a clean maintained park to give my dog a safe run in, flood defences, the roads gritting when its icey, schools, or any of that useless shit!
153  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How many houses will burn down due to mining? on: January 29, 2014, 11:00:22 PM
it is a serious suggestion , the fire cant spread across concreate can it , it will just burn on the spot and not ignite nothing else, thats if it does get to that stage

The problem is not with the units, but how you get power to them.

Using underspecified wiring as the OP is suggesting will lead to the wires heating up and in the worst case, melting/shorting/catching fire. And where are these wires coming from? Unless you've a nuclear power station under your shed, they're coming from your house.

Wires without access to air (in conduits, inside walls, etc) are the first to warm up and will be the first to fail.

Disclaimer: not an electrician but good old dad is.

Alright, let me be a little more blunt, shares on havelock aren't direct, though they can be converted to such.
155  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN]ASICMiner Publicly Looking for Potential Customers/Partners for New Chips on: January 29, 2014, 06:26:49 PM
I is time to buy shares? Stock exchange same as cex.io will be presented?

you can buy direct shares at www.havelockinvestments.com

156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Received an email and have no idea what it is. on: January 28, 2014, 05:16:08 PM
I got this same email of course I didn't click it.
I guess this iswhy we dont show our emails to the community.
No cause for everyone of those emails I get, I get 100 emails to do business Wink

That's an impressive ratio. Mine is more like for every 1 legit email, I get 100 of these phishing/spams.

He's a board member isn't he? So a vested interest, but in in a position to potentially know more than we do.
159  Economy / Services / Re: Programming lessons wanted on: January 27, 2014, 02:17:11 AM
Algebra is heavily used in programming.

Programming is full of

j=1; j<array.length;j++

type lines, no matter the language.

What does that line have to do with algebra?! That's an extract from an if() loop, 3 individual but related statements.

I've been programming for 20 years and can't remember the last time I needed algebra after A-level maths in school :p (but I don't do any 3D gaming progarmming, which is where I guess you're aiming this at)

20 years of programming and you just stated an "if loop"? Please explain how an "if loop" works.

Yep, cos I really haven't got better things to do than prove myself to you..

edit: having gone away and thought about why you made a point of that I realised my error. Of course I meant condition not loop. My programming is better than my grasp of English, I swear.

Quote

Also, programming is swimming in algebra. Not only are you passing values around in variables and defining functions with them (e.g., b = 3.0; h = 2.0; a = 0.5*b*h;) but you also use 1D and 2D arrays which is basic linear algebra (e.g., v[i*length+j]). Also a "real" if statement is a common place to see algebraic options such as:

if (f(x) % 2 == 0) { //code here }

Not to mention the amount of algebra used in many of the algorithms you take for granted (e.g., sorting, hashing, searching).

I've just never heard the term algebra used to refer to this sort of basics maths before, I suppose.

In school whenever algebra was mentioned it was always related to equations like: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algebra#Algebra_as_a_branch_of_mathematics

but you know, feel free to nitpick over my choice of words some more.
