think someone is making the price down and then buy back!!! use people's fear!!

People pushed the price up to 0.70BTC for no other reason than the 20th January was approaching. I said how stupid it was at the time to buy based purely on a date. Those same people are now being punished by the price drop. There is no "conspiracy" here or game playing, just bad tactics.

That's exactly why a public company should be very careful in announcing an exact date of important milestone. Once you announced, you have responsibility to keep updating the progress.

Moreover, a hero member said couple of pages before that he got reply from Friedcat on 17 Jan that 'everything is still on track about the taping out on 20 Jan'. Do you know what this mean? If this is true, friedcat has clearly violated the security market rule. He gave an important information to his friend but keep all other investors in the dark. In real stock market, this could lead him to the jail.

I know BTC stock market is the wild west, and no rule here at all, but I really think this kind of things make me believe that AM, and the whole BTC stock market, is not worth investing any more. It's just a place for insiders to grab wealth from the new comers. For all new comers, keep your BTC in cold storage and you will never regret about that.

I kind of agree, but like you say, this isn't a real stock market, so we can't lock FC up Wink Also, just because a hero member said something doesn't necessarily make it true. I asked in this thread where he got this info and he didn't reply. Who knows, he could have been "playing the market".

its a really murky world for sure. But Wall St is just as bad, if not worse.

He's a board member isn't he? So a vested interest, but in in a position to potentially know more than we do.

The problem comes if and when board members get told things and FC doesn't announce to us plebby shareholders. If he does that, he is clearly favouring board members over other shareholders. If that has happened, it is totally unacceptable. Has it happened over the tapeout thing? If so, this has to be the last time.

But why would it matter to you? you sold out earlier didn't you?

I've sold out 50% of my holdings now, price is too low now to cash out the rest.

Have fun with that.  Did you not realize that when you purchased an unregulated, unlisted security using a brand new, no backing, no government currency that there may be some risks associated?

It seems like all BTC investors do not realize that investments have gains AND losses.

AND as far as there being any wrongdoing here... far more then the initial share price was paid out to investors, there is no scam here.

Friedcat promised PR.

Friedcat has millions of USD in his company.

Friedcat cannot find one person in a country with 1bn, who is able to accept some money in return for posting an accurate update to shareholders every 1-2 weeks.

Seriously............?

This copes well with my theory that while everything was going ok they issued regular updates, but when they fucked up they stopped giving updates. Still better than lying.
Of course, they also broke many promises, so while it's better than an outright lie, it doesn't beat it by much.
As far as I'm concerned I made a mistake not walking away when it was clear (if you just did look) the ship was sinking.
