I could use some of dat parabolic movement in BTC

Bro, I've been in BTC longer than that chart... if it was truly parabolic my $50K investment in bitcoin wouldve made me a millionaire, not a lame thousand-air

This is slow steady growth, which I'm not complain about at all, I love it actually. But people are claiming that we are due for a huge crash... I mean what?? We haven't even had much fun yet! At least give me dat parabolic move BEFORE we crash and do a 50% retrace

Give me at least $5K/btc

Trust me, it will get there. I wager we will see a $5K floor, yes floor, by the end of 2020. Supported by miners and by true long holders. Bitcoin will be seen as the only sensible crypto and the true value play. The price of bitcoin will of course continue to increase into the future, but likely more slowly over time. I guess we shall see. 99.99% people have yet to even buy some.

All the other shitcoins are supported by nothing but the pumpers and FOMO hype. When all that changes, and it will someday, the ICO market will get fully labeled as 'SCAM MARKET' and the sensible people will never return there again. They can only pull off the mega scam once.

I agree, that's why I'm holding Smiley

Apologies in advance Afrikoin since its off-topic!

Anyone who still thinks SegWit is any good needs to read this: How do SegWit and FlexTrans compare?

Quote
More incompetant rubbish

There is no reason to choose SegWit over Flexible Transactions.
There need only be ONE reason. That reason is the BU developers are amateur coders and should not be within a hundred miles of any production code. End of conversation.

Who's talking about BU in the first place you dimwit? Absolutely no mention nor reference to BU
You must be hallucinating

You were an avid BU supporter not talking about it anymore because you realized (late) how fucking garbage that proposition is and their devs were shit. Now it's all about "flexible transactions" LOL

Hey you ignorant asshole, good tech coins always make X20-X200 ROI. All the history of your shit BTC is also pump and dump. You really think BTC grew naturally you fucking moron?  Grin

By the way do you still sell BTC on bottom and rebuy it on top?  Grin

Lol stay mad faggot... talking to a moron is a waste of my time

Going from a low of 200 to 2900 is not 'parabolic' enough for you?

Wow, greed.

And Bitcoin is not ever going to do 1000% in month or two, or even years. It's too big now, and it would take a Herculean amount of money now with like 500X leverage to do something like that, and there would have to be an unlimited amount of coins on exchanges (which there are not).

If Bitcoin ever spiked like that, I would be very afraid.

Of course I'm greedy, it's human nature... I won't be satisfied until my bitcoin portfolio is worth a million.... even a million these days is pocket change, I'm not asking for much. Are you saying 2X from 2013 ATH is all we are getting after 4 years? Bullshit. Give me at least $5K/btc

I could use some of dat parabolic movement in BTC

bitcoin doesn't have the ico/dapp hype that's turning into a feedback loop. that was a genius move on their part for as long as it lasts, which won't be much longer.

throw away 5% of your stash on shitcoins and see what happens. all you need is one to go places but kiss it goodbye before it goes just in case.

and didn't you put alot into xmr? aren't you up on that?

Is the ico/dapp feedback loop behind the insane price rise? At least that explains something. What sucks is all the newbies getting into crypto looks at ETH as "cheap" relatively to bitcoin and more fun because the price doesn't stop... kinda hurts bitcoin in terms of new adoption.

I don't stay in alts for long... I sold XMR already. I usually sell when I get a conservative 20-30% profit. I had ETH too and sold when I gained like 10% more BTC through the ETH/BTC ratio. Right now the only alt I'm holding is SC (siacoin) with targets to sell at 700 sats
144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 09, 2017, 04:35:56 PM
I shoud've just converted all my BTC to ETH...

easy to say in retrospect. and who knows what tomorrow brings? ethereum is storing up plenty of its own problems for the future. bitcoin might well be in the clear by then.

going all in during any pump doesn't make sense. the time to do it was in 2015 when everyone was at maximum indifference.

Yeah, I don't mean to say I have regrets.... it made no logical sense to go all in on ETH after a 1000X rise... who would've known it still wants to go parabolic? Maybe it doesn't stop til $500 or $1000?? And no one in ETH community can explain why other than "ETH is da future!"

I could use some of dat parabolic movement in BTC
145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 09, 2017, 04:27:37 PM
Suprise twist, ETH goes parabolic

I shoud've just converted all my BTC to ETH... seriously... I'd be a milti millionaire right now. Maybe I should do it NOW. Seems like there's a greater chance ETH will reach $300 than BTC reaching $3000. Fucking bullshit.... c'mon bitcoin, you suck these days. The community is shooting themselves in the foot (to boost ETH?) and Ver/Jihan are fucking scumbags trying to ruin bitcoin (to boost ETH?).

Sucks... I cant logically buy ETH when it pumped from $8 in Feb... and it still has no signs of stopping
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I mine anything worthwhile with a single GeForce 1080 GTX? on: June 07, 2017, 05:59:18 PM
This is my gaming PC. I wanted to mine something like SC (Siacoin) or ETH or ETC. Or anything else that may be up and coming.

Any advice? Is my single 1080GTX enough to mine the coins mentioned above?

A GTX 1080 will be able to mine ETH just fine, but comes at a price. Since the card on a windows machine underperforms greatly at a hash rate of 4-5 MH/s you must install Linux that will result in a significant boost to 22-23 MH/s.However in order to determine if it will be worthwhile you need to calculate it thoroughly by trying it out yourself to get a certain result. Afterwards you should visit coinwarz and calculate with your power cost how much money you will be making in the end. By mining however you will be giving up your gaming PC.
https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/ethereum-mining-calculator

In my opinion you shouldn't be doing it, at least with this card and by giving up your gaming PC. You can sell it and get a cheaper one along with a mining rig.

Thank you for the reply. When you say I'd be giving up my gaming PC... can I not mine when I sleep or when I'm out for the weekends or do I need to have the machine mining 24/7 to get results?

I probably won't mine ETH. But I was thinking of mining an alt coin with lower difficulty (like SC)... hoping to mine it during the night or when I go out of town.

Lol... says the pathetic blocknet shill advertising blocknet all over bitcointalk and desperately trying to undermine bitcoin.

Do you know bitcoin is the most secure, liquid and immutable crypto out there? Do you know bitcoin is here for good while shitcoins will come and go?  Tech doesn't mean jack shit when bitcoin has the best developers and can adapt the tech of any shitcoin using sidechains and smartcontracts

best developers, don't make me laugh  Grin
those "best" developers are unable to even increase the block size limit
they have crippled Bitcoin more than they have done any good
SegWit is a clusterfuck of unnecessary code written in the name of a soft fork and now they want to hard fork Bitcoin with UASF in order to enforce their soft fork. Those guys are absolute morons and hypocrites

Hyena you nailed man!   Grin

Dafar, you are ignorant. BTC does not innovate anymore. Now it has to steal inovations from other alts. Look how innovative alts boom. They made X20-X200 ROI within 12 months while you BTC made only X4 ROI  Grin

Africoin EOS seems very interesting. I will definitely watch closer! What  do you think about Status project?  www.status.im

So you are judging coins (or rather, "innovation") based on how much they were pumped?? HAHAHA

MEOW coin pumped 5000% in 2014..... I guess it means it's a better coin than Bitcoin too? LMAO!!! You are a fucking moron.

And Hyena is a Roger Ver nut hugger who's been brainwashed against his own interest like an idiot

It is very demotivating for me to come into work when in one day I made more money than almost 2 years salary.

You should re-read what you just typed, because there's probably hundreds of people reading your post who have had the exact same feeling with some altcoin before, then they tried to ride the profits higher and they vaporized taking them back to square one.  The fact is, the second any type of life changing profits occur, the price always craters right after.  What % bitcoin can rise in a short duration before said action occurs is up for debate though.  Having any type of life changing profit occur and then not taking any profit off the table is the definition of insanity.

Profit in what? A currency that will likely go away in the next 10 years due to a debt bubble and more wars?

I stay at work mainly because it allows me to continue my high risk investment without worry of starving if it goes to zero. If I were to quit I would buy real estate or something that will sustain me for decades.

Real estate where? Cheap apartments and rent them out? I need ideas on how to sustain myself once I sell... I'm over the job route

151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: June 05, 2017, 08:50:10 PM

Did the author of that article ever heard of UASF? Does he know that there are more advanced coins on the market and BTC is not the only crypto in the world? Does he even know what is the total amount fiat money all around the world?

Total bullshit!!!

153  Economy / Speculation / Re: YORK's price prediction topic. on: June 05, 2017, 04:45:03 PM
Wow.... so YORK sold at the bottom and now became a hardcore ETH shill?? LOLOL... wtf is going on?

This is sad... why ethereum? fuck ethereum
Bitcoin maximalists are totally missing the point. I am talking about UASF at august 1. The price before that isnt relevant. Why you guys are all getting triggered when somebody criticizes bitcoin? I guess you guys are balled to deep into it.

Oh so when Afrikon and others were worried about a BU fork back in April and sold.... the price didnt care, and you didn't care. Now you're all worried about UASF? We were in the same scenario when you criticized Afrikon and others for selling out of fear of a fork.

Balls deep? I'm pretty sure you were balls deep in BTC... before you sold at $2100 at the bear trap  Roll Eyes

So where is your money now... sitting in fiat or in ETH? ETH already went from $8 to $240, almost seems too dangerous to touch ETH now but who knows... the price left fundamentals of this coin a long time ago

Follow your own advice.... when in doubt, hold...

[img]https://i.imgur.com/vwMin.gif?noredirect[img]

Well like I said yesterday it seems that the market knows that we are topping.

Fully depends whats your entry is of course.

My entry was at 700 USD so I have nothing to worry about, my fiat is safe.
I hold.

When there is doubt : HOLD

I keep holding.
Bear traps wont get me.
Expect more turbulence soon guys.

It's sad and pathetic that you guys are supporting a centralized bankster russia coin and SHIT coins over the ONLY crypto that is truly decentralized, that doesn't have a face or an organization that can manipulate it at will... BTC is the most secure, the most recognized, the most fair, the most immutable and it's closer than ever to reaching mass adoption and you idiots want to throw it all away for some premined SHIT coin that is centralized. BTC is the most pure form of digital commodity... nothing comes close. You guys who want to jump on the alt coin bandwagon are the ones motivated by greed... its obvious you think BTC is moving too slow for you. Traitors.... go have fun with your scammy shit coins and make their lead devs rich, bitcoin is not going anywhere. You will be licking your own ass by 2020 when BTC is still around and priced WAY higher than it is now.... it doesn't have to be #1 in coinmarket cap but you're an idiot if you think BTC is going away

156  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 30, 2017, 03:59:55 PM
Sup fellas...

Are we bleeding down to $1500-$1700?

Or trying for $3000 again?

And what's gonna happen on August 1st? Anyone else a little worried about UASF vs Jihan??

Well, transaction fees to get into next block are now $2.18, so bitcoin is now more expensive than an ATM.  This means it's usage as a currency is rapidly dwindling and putting it into settlement network only territory, except it doesn't actually function as a store of value like metals, so not useful as a settlement network.  The fundamentals just don't make any sense in that regard.  I assume the bitcoin traffic will also begin to spill into another coin looking for lower fees (probably litecoin).

Well true but the solution for transaction throughput is there... the community just needs to agree and implement which I think will happen.

BTC is still a better store of value than precious metals. Upside potential far greater than gold/silver... with greater ease of access and ability to move the value anywhere in the world, not to mention use it for online shopping and via ATMs.

York, have you seen that Vinny purchased shitty ETH at the top?

https://twitter.com/VinnyLingham/status/866726196599554048

He paid 185 USD 3 days ago and today it costs 135 USD and continues to fall.

 Grin

He bought ONE ETH... it was meant to be a joke about people FOMOing these coins at the top. He knew it was about to crash, that was his point..... c'mon people, how dense can you be?

YORK! Are we going down to $1500?? What's gonna happen buddy?

but i see the firstt wave 1-2 of a 5 waver. strap in

How come even after the great BTC news, all alts are up as wel?

Give it a few days for the blood to come
160  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: May 20, 2017, 03:47:01 PM
Used to have 90.... now only 70
wow 70 bitcoin in your wallet is very big its $140,000 dollars and if you convert into my money its million . I never have that amount so Im curious how you get that? Its your business is trading, gambling , signature campaign, investing Ico or others. Can you give suggestion sir how to earn like that because I think If I total my earnings in bitcoin I think its 3 bitcoin only because I dont have big capital to invest  to the investment that I know is legit.

Mostly through saving and thanks to bitcoin. I had good paying jobs and I've always put a bit of my paycheck into bitcoin since 2013. Now I have no job, just holding BTC and trading alts... but yea the only reason I saved so much was thanks to buying bitcoin, I think I invested around $50K of my hard earned money into bitcoin
