I’ll take the lealana Litecoin. And one of the shibanu doges, might get both. I bought one of these off ebay and it came with the holo attached but no public address. These seem more like what I was hoping to get.

Sending PM.
List updated as 1x Shibanu and Recalescence have sold.

157  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] Loadable Solid Gold Physical Bitcoin on: October 26, 2021, 09:10:40 AM
The cost of manufacturing coins/holograms are quite high, especially when making custom dies.
Using gold as the primary metal usually commands significantly higher premiums as there are fewer coins to spread the cost over.
Traditionally, when playing with gold, most coin makers rely on preorders to ensure the project costs can be met.
I’m not aware of many loadable gold BTC collectibles, but even so, your budget might not necessarily cover whatever is out there.
Either way, here are a few items that you could look into (both funded and unfunded):

https://www.titanbtc.com/product/titan-one-gold/ (1oz)
https://status.denarium.com/coin/#/F0113 (1oz)
https://status.denarium.com/coin/#/F0114 (1/2oz)
https://status.denarium.com/coin/#/F0116  (1/2oz)
https://status.denarium.com/coin/#/F0129 (1oz)
https://status.denarium.com/coin/#/F0200 (1oz)

An alternative might be to buy a 1oz mint bar/coin and assemble with your own keys/hologram. Check out some of the valcambi range. They have some plain/smooth surface items that could make converting them into a wallet pretty neat.

Wow! Some great responses and interest so far. As this is a community endeavour, I'm open to suggestions on how to proceed.

I want in. Generous on your part to put up bars and of course, I'm hodling anyway. Sounds like a great deal. Let's go : )

One question, are you saying the bars would be held in escrow, like with MJ, or with you? Or are you trusting the participants? How do you see this going down?

Gratefully

Steeley

I was going to trust the participants and just ask that they post the public keys to verify funding. Having an escrow hold the bars is an option too.

a long list of volunteers - how will the participants be selected? a raffle perhaps?

I love this idea! Looks like that might have to be the way Smiley

unfortunately I am incapable of making the keys and loading the bars myself but if I can send payment for a done option, where do I sign? And I will never peel a beautiful collectible so that part is easy

I am happy to generate and print keys per request but opted for DIY as a safer method. Alternatively, if using an escrow, they could also be responsible for key generation.

Would love to get a few more opinions before going ahead and finalising the terms.
Thanks for all the input so far! Smiley

Hey all!

Happy new ATH! BTC
We may have taken a slight dip but we’ll get back there in no time… Smiley
To celebrate this achievement and spread some love, I thought it’d be nice to try this little social experiment.
A couple of years back, I released a DIY hybrid BTC & ETH storage bar (see here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4355883.0).
I’m looking to give 3 of these bars away (shipped WW) to 3 users that are game.
The idea is that each user assembles their bar and loads each side with $100 of BTC & ETH.
These bars then have to be left untouched for a set period (say 2 years) before which they can be peeled and redeemed.
Ultimately, it’s a way of locking small funds into long-term storage and seeing how the price changes in that timeframe.
In essence, it’s a fun social experiment based on trust (and diamond hands).

Thoughts? Anyone interested in this? Grin
