Go for ASIC suppor
Hmm, my opinion does not match with yours. I think most people do not have ASIC, and the difficulty has grown so that using something other than an ASIC is pointless. A few Pools use the Heavy Branch, so that's not an ASIC Problem yet. And the Difficulty will also increase without ASIC Support. So ban ASIC will NOT decrease the difficulty. Qwertycoin is now (a bit) mainstream and some new miners join the boat and start mining in this Project. This is a healthy grow of the entire network. As we said we working on this heavy branch. But this will NOT decrease the difficulty. The Difficulty raise over the time like the decreasing Block Reward. If we reach higher Block heights the difficulty will raise up too. If you wait for a rapidly decrease of the global network difficulty, dont wait for the Anti ASIC Release of Qwertycoin. The Difficulty will not decrease to maybe 350,000,000 or something like that. If you expect this low difficulty you should not wait for this Solution. This will not happen. Maybe it will decrease to slightly under 1 billion, but with the time it will increase again up to >= 1 billion and higher. |

Yeah, I am concerned too about this, that's why I hoped for QWC better exchange support. Sadly weeks (months?) have passed and nothing changed. Just those two little shady exchanges are supporting QWC and there is no news coming. Watching at website and docs. QWERTY coin seems to deserve more (seeing also it's not premined) than an exchange without even a safe certificate. Maybe community is not supporting it enough? What have devs to say about this? Can we do anything to make it happen? I already have filled out an application for QWC at tradeogre like some other people do.

Maybe, maybe not. I'm sorry to tell you this.  We don't know what happens to this pool and their payments. We know that some 3rd party Pools have issues with the network synchronization process. If a pool found orphaned blocks while this pool is on a drifferent height, all these mined rewards were orphaned. Its really important to use the newst and correct Daemon Version for every Pool owner. But we cant say whats happend to your Pool. Maybe use an old version (2.2.2 is the newest one (or 2.2.5 for beta tester)), or use wrong settings and way other possibile reasons for this. It is the first case that coins have disappeared. Hello, Your coins will be returned to you when they're cleared from the TX pool. This has happened to myself before and it occurs when the transaction is not included in the block due to size limits. If they're not pushed through, they will return once cleared. I already have made my opinion known about this, but in perhaps a bit of a rude way earlier in the thread.
I have a friend who is happily mining QWC with a couple of 1080ti's and some CPUs and making many thousands of them a day - hoping that this coin may one day be worth even $0.10 and he will make some good profit.
I understand his reasoning, and I want to investigate this coin more to try to understand if there is anything that makes it "different" or have some utility to make it stand out amongst the thousands of "shitcoins" out there and if I do like what I find in my research I may mine some too, BUT....
if this coin gains in price and volume enough to get enough attention that plain cryptonight ASIC miners start pointing their hash-rate at it, it will be terrible for the coin IMHO because it will centralize hashing power (CPU/GPU only coins are usually inherently more decentralized) and you will have individuals or groups with large amounts of hash-rate and coins who can manipulate it's price. One example is someone who has lots of hash power of cryptonight can mine QWT right now and make probably millions of coins in days. Then they could "undersell" to artificially lower the price, then once the price has lowered enough they buy back many more, then they wait a week or three and do it again, until they have a huge number of coins. Then they engage in pumping the coin by spending money on social media campaigns to hype it, then they dump all their coins when the price has spiked up a bit.
I think that CPU only coins are ultimately the most decentralized but I don't know how hard it is to find an algorithm like that. MAGI coin has done it for years with M7M. GPU algorithms that use low power or can be mined with almost any GPU are good too.
Anyway, my point is I really WISH you would move away from a non-ASIC resistant algorithm. I wish all coins would but it's too late for the ones that have already gone through CPU to GPU to FPGA to ASIC, unless they fork of course. I think it was very brave of Monero to fork given the market cap they have because forking is always risky and controversial.
This coin is still young and forking it would be easier now than later.

Since being listed on CREX24 on April 25, 2018 Qwertycoin has passed several notable milestones. Those milestones include trading volume, price support and blocks mined. The volume of trading on the CREX24 has exceeded management teams expectations as well as the level of price support. The first official day started well into the trading day and found volumes near 29M QWC. Day two volume over 113M QWC traded and on day 3 volumes reached 211M QWC. Day four is looking good with over 325M QWC traded and opportunity to further extend today’s record volume. These volume levels on CREX24 put us well above some peer Cryptonote coins such as Karbo and BBSCoin. Currently in 8th place based on CREX24 volume we currently rank only ahead of widely recognized Litecoin, Ethereum Classic and Zcash. While there were some in QWC community that predicted a race to the bottom because of a minimum price of 0.01 sat. In fact we have seen much the opposite with prices peaking at 5 sat before settling near 0.12 sat. As this is being written we are seeing levels rising to 0.18 and 0.22 sat. Rising or falling price levels are in a large part dependant on the continued support of the QWC community. Another milestone which QWC recently achieved is 60,000 blocks mined. It was our plan to become listed on an exchange after 60,000 blocks, as evidenced we are pleased that we were able to beat that goal by several thousand blocks.
