reminds me of the time some kids fell down a well, and all sorts of hawkers setup booths to sell souvenirs and over priced refreshments. The money dried up after the kids were rescued, much to the chagrin of the hawkers.

and why should I use this? Whats going to bring me /us there? Trust is running on empty for the BTC exchanges.
How about a full disclosure on your security protocols? tradehill was bright with referrals, although that turned into a decentralized spam campaign. whats new, this is a fast moving community as you've noted.

why would they make a claims page, if they were hitting the road.
They could have just disappeared by now. If they did skip out, Yes they would be hunted for the rest of their lives by anarcho sadisdo capitalist athiest murderer pornographer hackers, they know this, and know that their lives would be lost or ruined and tortured. Thats the reality check!
So. Looks to me like MtGox is fighting the good fight, and a difficult one at that. They have 61,000 accounts to deal with and a legion of seething geeks / opportunists / selfish bastards. They have no choice but to perform. This is daunting at best.
When youre going through hell keep on going mtgox.

Good luck finding a real job in PHP/MySQL if you display stack trace to random visitor on a production site of any serious tech company.
What do they care? They're making $30k/day... they don't need a real job not. any. more.....

go to bed dude. Theres not much you can do. Let the market stabilize then make a clear decision. Tradehill looks stable, which I think is a good indication of the market.

So yes, one account with 500k BTC can fill every buy order on the market at the time,
and still have about 260K left waiting to be sold at 0.01 each.
Heh, so could it be that Kevin actually saved Mt. Gox? If his buy order went in just as the hacker's sell was winding down and he was the first to buy in quantity, Kevin snapped up the balance and the hacker could not transfer out anything because he sold the complete balance (didn't see that coming). Unless Kevin was the hacker or associated with of course. Still, rollback is the fair thing to do. This is hilarious and quite possible based on my knowledge of real life.... O wonderous universe.

61,000 claims??? how many weeks is that going to take to wade through!!!
pure insanity this is.
Give me my USD and let me be on my way as I shake the dust from my boots.

The best plan is further security measures. Everything else is regulation, which leads to more regulation and beaurecrats. (been there done that! ) Let the market determine the pricing, just make the platform good enough. Were long from there yet.

The servers are under so much traffic they are essentailly locked. 61,000 users desperate to claim their btc or cash.
I got through, but it took about 15 minutes and several attempts.
also...the only other proof i am willing to provide is the balance. If this proof info gets hacked as well, I dont want the bastards having any knowledge of my other accounts.

1 month from today, if I still have not received an answer, I'm going to answer each of them with a false answer.
Eventually I will populate google with many false answered questions about Mt. Gox.
So please just answer my question.
Way to incriminate yourself. Good show old chap.

Wow, guys I dont think Id be using an online password generator. Call me paranoid, but any generated password could be going into a database somewhere and possibly used later for hack attempts.

Not going to read all of that, but in summary
Humans=Idiots
same old story.
