141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your altcoin on: May 19, 2018, 02:58:09 PM
If I understand your question very well it's about how to keep tokens secure....  First and mostly important you must keep your private keys safe where nobody have access to it and back up your keystore. Saving your private keys on your computer or phone isn't the best option, make a hard copy of it and keep it safe.
Secondly don't enter your private Key on insecure sites or malicious link because if you do you'll lose all your tokens and nobody would be responsible for that .
Finally guide against recklessness in handling your wallet,  don't share your phone or computer, they might export your private keys to their devices
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy? on: May 18, 2018, 07:06:43 AM
Now is time to buy the truth is you have to take your chance you can keep waiting till market totally fall till like $300 per ETH, I have had that experience with a friend who is waiting till he gets more cheaper price for ETH when it's even $400 and a weeks after it jumped up to around $600-$700 and he can't buy again, assuming he has buy when it was $300 he would have had up to $300 gain with two weeks so buy now and I can tell you you'll get marginal gain on your investment, you can't keep waiting forever for time to buy
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty is like a Box Chocolate on: May 18, 2018, 06:58:42 AM
That is absolutely true,  bounty is like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get until the end of the ICO,  some token will be viable while some are worthless after ICO. You might have done everything possible to research the project before joining and conclude it has good potential and it end up being shitcoin while the ones you're doubting might turn out to be most successful to unsuspecting investors
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why KYC should not be asked from the Bounty Participants! on: May 18, 2018, 06:53:32 AM
It is unbelievable when I started seeing ICO requesting bounty hunter to pass through Kyc and one thing that makes me to believe that this ICOs are scam is because they wouldn't indicate such requirement before bounty started, it's only when bounty hunters have help them sold out their token that they announce Kyc which doesn't suggest honesty and transparency in other words they have been successful in using the bounty hunters to achieve their goals and want to dupe them because they know majority won't be able to pass kyc. I am very sure 90 percent won't participate if they stated before bounty start that there will be Kyc.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn token and coin free ? on: May 18, 2018, 06:43:47 AM
There are couple of ways to earn tokens without buying them,  by doing bounty which can be either social media include facebook and twitter campaign doing some tasks to promote ICOs or posting useful posts on the forum here  by wearing signature of ICO which is often referred to as signature campaign and lastly filling airdrop forms is another means of getting tokens for free.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which Exchange do you all recommend? on: May 17, 2018, 09:49:41 PM
Binance is awesome with huge market volume with excellent interface which is friendly and it's handy to trade on it compared to others such as bancor, idex etc.
Another one is bitrex it isn't bad as well but about Kyc,  yes you have to do Kyc to verify your identification before trading on bitrex So it's left to you if you're cool with that condition
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you panic? on: May 17, 2018, 09:23:07 PM
If such thing happens when tokens has been distributed and bounty hunter trade lower to the ICO shouldn't make experienced investors panic because after ICO if the project have good roadmap and they develop their products accordingly, the coin will be viable enough to withstand market pressure and rise even if it doesn't skyrocket in price at least there minimum gain
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this true ? on: May 17, 2018, 08:58:02 PM
I hope that's true and I will like to follow the news development about facebook having their own coin.
Well it's exciting to hear that from my own side and I bet it'll be great participating in their ICO because it'll be adventurous and eventually make it tall out of all others and the reason for my optimism is because facebook is strong already and their ICO definitely will have great team,  with facebook popularity they won't be struggling for advertising and promotion to get big investors which will definitely make it a huge success
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bountyhive scam on: May 17, 2018, 05:47:25 PM
Hey bro there is no valid basis for your conclusion that Bountyhive is scam,  supposed all the rules is there and once you agree to join any bounty on Bountyhive you're agreeing to their terms and conditions and let me point out that you stand to get better rewards than other bounties outside Bountyhive because on Bountyhive there is limit to numbers of participants unlike others on bitcointalk thread where they don't close registration form till almost the end of ICO and you have more than 10-15k participants on telegram spreadsheet which doesn't happen on Bountyhive and that afford the Bountyhive users to earn more or have you joined any campaign on Bountyhive and didn't get paid for you task?  I guess no so why did you say Bountyhive is scam?
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Scam ICO on: May 03, 2018, 09:30:04 PM
Ever since I've joined the crypto community I have done couple bounty campaigns and everything is alright,  no cheating but I was curious to know about other people experience.
So I want to ask have you been scammed?
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: except for bitcoin, what is your prefer? on: May 03, 2018, 08:34:30 AM
Firstly to address the issue of banning or not,  I don't think bitcoin can ever be banned and if it got banned invariably cryptocurrency is gone.  And next to bitcoin is ethereum because after bitcoin it's the biggest second to bitcoin in the market
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greed and crypto !! on: May 03, 2018, 08:29:23 AM
Due to the volatility of cryptocurrency I'll advice you to refrain from your excess greed to add more coins to your portfolio,  greed shouldn't come to play when investing,  invest wisely to avoid great loss which might cost you peace of mind

155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Will Ethereum reach 1200 again? on: May 03, 2018, 08:06:26 AM
Ethereum will reach $1200 again when some conditions are met and parts of the conditions are,  the bitcoin value increase, more dollars injection into ethereum market to cap it all and that goes to those who bought while ETH is $1200 patience is needed.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Telegram is Reportedly Calling Off Its ICO Plans After Two Funding Rounds on: May 03, 2018, 07:59:08 AM
Telegram Group Inc. has canceled its initial coin offering after the popular messaging app raised a record-setting $1.7 billion from a group of less than 200 private investors, the Wall Street Journal reports.
What could be responsible for such move from Telegram founder Pavel Durov ?

I try to choose companies that are managed by proven managers with a positive reputation. In order not to miss the campaign, I use the spreadsheet in which the managers meet my criteria. The spreadsheet is updated daily.

159  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin in developing countries on: April 28, 2018, 08:55:50 PM
Bitcoin is becoming known more than imagined in my country being Third World country and it's accepted by youths, the government is understudying what Blockchain technology and crypto would contribute to the economy and the legislative arm of government is working on legislation to regulate cryptocurrency
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum Foundation Developer Proposes Smart Contract Insurance Fund on: April 28, 2018, 08:22:56 PM
Ethereum Foundation developer Alex Van de Sande has unveiled a proposal for an insurance pool that he believes will mitigate the risk of network splits stemming from a desire to recover funds frozen due to code faults in smart contracts.

Van de Sande, who is team lead for the Mist browser, wrote in a blog post that creating a recovery contract with a dedicated insurance fund would reduce the incentive that a person or group — e.g. the owners of the more than $320 million in ETH that was rendered unspendable after Parity’s multi-signature wallet contract library self-destructed — would have to pursue a contentious hard fork to regain some or all of the value lost due to the bug.

Here’s how the system would work.

Developers would insure their smart contracts by locking up Ether for a predetermined period of years in a recovery contract. In exchange, they would receive an equal number of “recover-ether tokens,” which they could then either hold or sell to speculators.

If the Ether insured by the contracts becomes frozen (hacks and other exploits in which the tokens remain liquid would not be covered by the fund), the recovery process would allow recover-ether holders to redeem their tokens for an equivalent percentage of the pool’s funds at a 90 percent rate, with the remaining 10 percent used to fund the general insurance fund of all tokens.

On the other hand, if the lock-up period passes and no recovery process is initiated, the recover-tokens would be automatically destroyed and the issuer would receive back their locked Ether — and would keep any profits realized by selling recover-tokens at the outset.
