yup, until they find something else wrong with it.......only a matter of time........Prediction Bet Anyone?

So what? Sure there will be bumps in the road in the future. Problems will be found and fixed again.
That's the process of evolving.
You don't learn how to walk without falling, it's more important if you stand up after you fell.
Or like Richard Branson said: "You don't learn to walk by following rules, you learn by doing and by falling over."

That is all true but don't you think that the market cap of 1 Billion USD is too high for something as experimental as ETH?

No i don't think so, but in the end the market decides.
Don't you think that the market cap of 11 Billion USD is too high for something that lets you wait for hours and days for the confirmation of one transaction and has very limited capabilities for smart contracts like something as Bitcoin?

And it's fixed:

edit: That's one of the reasons we are on this Blockchain, no one has to cry anymore,
maybe some people have to eat a snickers Wink

Does anyone know if ICN dividends will be received directly into myetherwallet ? I keep my ICN in myetherwallet.

DD
Yes it does, Even If you want for leaving your coin in there, you will get a definite thing for receiving your dividend. But never hold your token in the exchange wallet. or you will never get a dividend for that. You can read more about it at ICONOMI whitepaper or watch his AMA yesterday.
This already clear with the team statement.

Let's assume I have created an etherium wallet using myetherwallet....
I'm guessing this works much the same as a bitcoin wallet in that my wallet is comprised of unique etherium wallet addresses.
I have a number of questions around this subject which I'm hoping some of you can answer in a way I can easily understand it.

1. Let's assume I wanted to transfer some ICN coins/tokens either from my wallet on the iconomi site, or from my wallet on Kraken to myetheriumwallet ...
Obviously the myetheriumwallet was designed to hold etherium coins. So now i am going to send ICN tokens to an address in this wallet- which was actually designed to hold etherium...
So how does the wallet "know" after the transfer has been done (and hopefully succeded) that the coins/units held in that partticular wallet address is in fact ICN and not etherium?
2. Assuming that there is some built in mechanism with which the myetheriumwallet can distinguish whether an address contains etherium or ICN ...
what happens if i send say 1000 ICN to an address in the wallet and then after that i send 1000 etherium coins to that same wallet address?
What will the contents of that wallet address now contain/show?
(I'm assuming one should NEVER do this in practise - just asking in order to try to get a greater understanding of the wallets and the relation between etherium and ICN)
3. Assuming I now have successfully transferred 1000 ICN to an address in myetheriumwallet ... either from my wallet on iconomi site OR from my account on Kraken where i bought the ICN ...
3.1 How exactly does the "system" know about the existance of these 1000 ICN in order to send dividends in the form of etherium coins and how does the system know where to locate these 1000 ICN?
[i'm assuming its due to the etherium blockchain where all movements of ICN coins can be traced and the whereabouts (wallet addresses) of all ICN coins are known at all times.  But i have to ask to make sure my assumption is correct]
3.2 Assuming the iconomi "system" does in fact track down these 1000 ICN sitting in myetheriumwallet... how exactly will the etherium dividend be paid out to me?
3.3 Let's assume the dividend (for arguments sake) is 5 etherium coins for the 1000 ICN situated in a particular wallet address in myetheriumwallet...
We already know that one cannot mix ICN and etherium in the same wallet address, and so my question is where will the dividend of 5 etherium coins be sent to??

Thanking you guys in advance for clearing up this for me with your answers and input.

As petricag said, the myetherwallet addresses are showing you both Ethereum coins (ETH) and ICN Token.
And you also need some ETH to send ICN Tokens out of the myetherwallet again, because for each transaction there is a sending fee called gas (little ETH units).
So you should have some ETH in the same adress where your ICN are stored.
The dividends, that will be paid in ETH, will automaticly be send to the same Ethereum adress where your ICN were when the dividends have been earned. The ICONOMI smart contract can see where every ETH and every ICN lies on the Blockchain.

Has there been any estimates on how the dividend payment is calculated?

None yet, other then ICN holders will split 20% of the profits from all funds.

woow, woow, hold your horses, cowboy. The only 20% profits is from ICNP. If you don't directly invest into some fund, don't expect 20% of the profits.
For the passive managed funds, such as ICNX, expect something like 2% annual.
In any case, it is better to wait for further announcements, which for sure will come before OFM goes live.

Just a reminder for people not following us from the start...
For ICONOMI.index and ICONOMI.performance funds we have not yet set fees.
So 1%, 2%, 20% and other numbers are just examples...
Expect official numbers when we officially launch the funds later this year.

Can't wait! It's just somewhere in december right? No definitive date?

December 31st at 11:59pm.
Smiley

All right, marked in the calendar 🍀🍸🎆

Has the team stated when the first part of their platform will be ready?

No. Just that it will come 2017. There is no date for that so far. The index and the performance funds are started already as announced.

No. The performance fund is active with its first funding in Golem project. No direct way to invest into it for now.
The index - ICNX is not active yet, but is expected to become available for the public to invest into already this year.

Index fund is working from months. Although it is just like a model until now. Final touches are being made to it. It shows us the expected returns we would have got if we invested in index fund.

Maybe they have also invested some performance fund money in Wings Huh

I would say it's possible Wink
