Hi everyone, We have decided to make some change to Reddcoin and here they are: Block halving rate: Change from 525,600 to 500,000. This was done to have a total coin before IPO and rewards of 100 billions. Then, we decided to up our IPO offering to 5% as requested. This will bring the total coins available in the IPO TO 5.45 billions. To make sure we get the needed support from miners during the first month, we decided to implement special block rewards for the first 30,000 blocks. Special block reward Block 0 - 9,999 = reward 300,000 coins Block 10,000 - 19,999 = reward 200,000 coins Block 20,000 - 29,999 = reward 150,000 coins Block 30,000 and over = reward 100,000 coins This bring the total coin to 109 billions. I think you should also start being more active in promoting ReddCoin if you want it to be a success. If you guys will distribute ReddCoin earlier for people who invested prelaunch of the coin, I am in. Otherwise, I will wait. But being as you guys are like a 2 week old announcement, page viewed and people involvement is really low. Consider Astrocoin for example that accumulated over 21 pages in response and they just launched late last night. You guys only have 2 pages and most of it is from me and you guys are 2 week old announcement. Just a thought.

Would people who invested in earlier get coins earlier then? I see no incentives of investing early.
This is a good idea, we might look at it. We didn't add any incentive to get in early because we don't want to rush you. This is what scammer do to push you in. Not us. We know we will still be here in a month or 12. Take all your time, look at what we are doing and then do what you believe is best for you. |

Why can't we use one of the already million altcoins out there for tipping? oh yes... we already do!
Your time would be better spent building an app/plugin for bitcoin/litecoin/etc on these sites.

We don't think there is no more place for a new coin. We actually think it's the opposite. The more coin release the better. The best one with the best project and the best community will live and prosper. All the rest will die. This is what create innovation. Every new technology work like that. It's the same with cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin, litecoin, dogecoin are all here to stay because they have something different from the rest. Our goal is to do the same. |

Do you feel its unfair to those who invested in before the launch of the coin since they are risking the chance of you just running away rather than after the release of the coin in which there are fewer risks? I have not invested but I would like to know your opinion.

Update! Well, we don't have a lot more to said but our coin is 90% ready. We already have the linux QT and daemon ready and the windows wallet and daemon ready. We still have to work on the Mac version. Hopefully, it will be release at the same time. We have 6 nodes already set up. The DNS seed is done. Premine is done (only first 10 blocks with special reward). We will look at the block explorer in the next days. This will be a clean release. We know our project depend on it. We just noticed our account was flag for being untrusty and we feel we have to comment on this. We know some scam happen in the past here and you are right being prudent with your investment. Let me tell you why it won't happen this way. Hopefully, we can correct some misunderstanding. We have no reason to scam you. Why? Because you are getting coins in exchange for your investment. It's not like we had a reason not to give you those coins. It would only crash the value after everyone would get angry. The coin will be release on February 2th (it's already done and ready to go).
